Town & Country Driving School: Reviews

Negative experience: Crystal is extremely rude. I wish there was another driving school in this area, but I guess because they have a bit of a monopoly on some of these courses, we are obligated to go with these folks. But oh my goodness attitude and unprofessionalism. It’s a Customer Service industry so you have to learn how to interact with customers even ones who are more difficult than others in a respectful way.

Fantastic experience: I have two reviews of Town and Country, one deserves 5 stars because of Crystal and Erika. Crystal in the office was always so polite and helpful every time I called to ask a question. She was a pleasure to talk to and work with and made this experience amazing! Erika was my child’s instructor for 3 of her 4 sessions and was absolutely wonderful! She was patient, helpful, kind and made my child feel absolutely comfortable during her sessions. She taught my child things in a way they could understand and was if they made a mistake, she explained what they did incorrectly and taught them how to fix it. We are so very grateful to her for her guidance and teaching style. I highly recommend her as an instructor! My second review would require negative stars and this is directly the result of just one in car with Diane as the instructor. She had my child near tears when they returned from the session. She was very insulting and told me child that they should plan on taking the bus to school because there is no way they will pass their test, that they were horrible at driving and that it was my fault for not taking her out driving more. She told my child that they should be lucky to not be getting all beginning marks in their last in car because that is what they deserve. Even went as far as to tell them that she would be contacting the office and advising them to not give them their certificate because they are not ready to drive by any means. If they made an error she belittled them and was extremely rude. She expects perfect driving out of a 16 year old who has only been driving for 6 months. Absolutely horrible and should NOT be working with teenagers. I am happy to say that my child passed their exam with flying colors, and it had NOTHING to do with Diane and her horrible attitude and behavior! Town and Country, she is making your business look horrible and should not be working with teens.

Fantastic experience: During my first 3 in cars I had Erica. She was so amazing and helped me to perfect my maneuver ability and driving on the high way. She was very informational and kind.

Fantastic experience: During my first in-car, I was absolutely terrified, but Erica helped me flip the script. She's dubbed the confidence booster and doesn't wear that title lightly! Finished my last in-car today and feelin' like a million bucks. She was very patient with me every session and gave me the courage to push forward in my driving career. If you're in need of a in-car instructor, Erica is the way to go.

Fantastic experience: Great driving school! My sister was able to schedule her on roads very quickly and even was able to reschedule when sick. She was able to go at her own pace and really enjoyed her experience.

Fantastic experience: Great experience with Town & Country driving school in Medina. Daughter did online classes at her pace. Then 8 hours BTW with driving instructor Mike. He did a great job, especially teaching her maneuverability. He taught her how to drive continuously through the course without stopping or hitting anything. I am just amazed how good she became. Keep up the great work their town and country.

Negative experience: Chose another school. They don't have enough instructors. After finishing the classroom portion, the wait is 3 months before the in-car instructor is available. God forbid you need to reschedule. You'll wait ANOTHER three months.

Negative experience: Not a good school. Instructor was factually wrong on rules of the driving test, offered little advice, and then argued on their phone with their partner for half the trip. Not worth the time it takes to get an appointment and almost certainly not the money.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had Mike and he was a great instructor. She looked forward to the incars everytime. She is sad that they are over. The girls in the office are also nice and very helpful.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience With them. Marie was very easy to work with and schedule around my son’s basketball schedule. She even called back twice with additional time slots to help get the in car portion done sooner.

Negative experience: Continuously told they will call me back concerning cancellations on their part, of course never received calls. I have to constantly call and fight with them to schedule my child for going on 5 months now for our 4 sessions. It should NOT be this hard. Save yourself money and time and go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I currently have my second child doing driver’s training with this company. The first time was good, and I had no complaints. This second time through has been phenomenal! My son was scheduled for in cars as soon as it was available. He went out for an in car one evening, and the weather got bad so he had to schedule for another lesson. They were very understanding of scheduling conflicts and worked with us the best they could to get him in to make up the lost hour. Every time I call, I receive a call back within the day and the office staff is friendly. I’ll definitely be back with my other two children when they are old enough!

Negative experience: So far awful experience. They tell the students to call and schedule in car after the first week of classes. We have called the number 6 times, no one ever answers the phone and no one is returning our calls.

Fantastic experience: When I read all the reviews on this program I was skeptical to send my daughter to this driving school to learn to drive. After the first day of classroom instruction I felt at ease. The classroom instruction was professional and relatable. The in car instructor was personable and really helped my daughter improve her driving skills. We received the driving certificate for the BMV within 1 week of program completion. I have nothing negative to say about this driving school. I would defiantly recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I had Patty, she was extremely fun and nice to talk to. Just finished tonight; had a great time with her and her advice and help is the reason I’m so good at maneuverability!

Negative experience: I typically don't write reviews....however! PLEASE PLEASE read everyones reviews before signing up with this organization. My child will be done with the class portion the first week of September. After the first week you can call and schedule the "in cars". I was told they are full until mid/end of November. WHAT A two and a half month wait to do 8 hours of in car driving, Not to mention it is then winter. The response I received was I can always pull my child out and take him elsewhere. What a complete was of my family's time and money! Not to mention the not really caring attitude when I called. If I could give no stars I would.

Negative experience: Clearly, wish I'd read the reviews before wasting time, and money. My child and her friends reported abusive, neglectful instructor. Do yourself a favor and find anywhere else.

Negative experience: I wouldn't recommend. They gave my son some pretty nutty advice, such as "if you're not sure about that fluid under the hood, put a little on your finger and taste it" accompanied with descriptions of various fluid tastes. Not only is that really dangerous advice, there are much better ways to verify a fluid and what it means. The in car instructor didn't teach maneuverability, she taught a pattern for the maneuverability test, which of course won't serve him very well first time he needs to parallel park. That was fun to deprogram. Giving a second star because for their faults, the people we dealt with were pretty nice.

Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend this place. My daughter started in cars today with Mike and was berated by him about not knowing how to drive, almost being 18 and doing the course, forgetting things and being on her phone after they picked up another person for their in cars. Which she was texting me about how he was talking to her. I guess they expect the kids to know how to drive to make their jobs easier! What a mistake picking this place was!

Negative experience: This driving school is OVERLOADED with students. Poor communication, poor scheduling practices, cancels scheduled appointments to create further delays for the students and parents. Cashed my check in June and my child still has yet to complete 8 hours of driving instruction. When, they called me last week to cancel her last scheduled 2 hour appointment, they rescheduled for the END OF OCTOBER. When I expressed my concern the woman said , technically by law we have 6 months to finish instruction. So, that leads me to believe they have stated this line to many parents. 6 months to conclude 8 hours of driving school is beyond unacceptable. I would not recommend this facility to any parent. Especially with the expectation that your child will become more independent with the freedoms of a drivers licence. Here it is about to be 6 months later still dropping off, picking up & being inconvenienced with rescheduling. Exercise your right to choose a better company to invest in for your child's driving education. This place is a joke.
