Hester Driving Academy

Fantastic experience: I took the online course with them in the beginning of 2025. Everything was explained clearly and passed every test first time. I drove with Mr Farmer twice and Mr Hester once, and both were great. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Highly discourage anyone who is considering this company to be your driving instructor! Run - go elsewhere. Everything about their teaching to their inability to get a student in and done is sub-par. Had to lose my money (well played getting paid upfront then not being able to complete your service within the bank’s recovery timeframe) and went elsewhere to get the course completed because Hester's inefficiency. However, the FK Chestnut driving instructor was amazing, thankfully! And, even the area schools are processing students in half the time as Hester's despite what you will be told by the owner. (I took the word of the old recommendations - lesson learned: always ask around!) Revised based on Pam Hester’s Response: Pam could not guarantee my son would be completed with the driving hours prior to his end of January birthday even though his classroom and his classmates had been completed months earlier shortly after the classroom finished. Other later students enrolled AND younger completed quicker than my son. This happened to 2 students in that late summer session. Pam used several excuses. My son turned 15 in late January - in January she couldn’t guarantee to get him completed by his birthday. And no, I didn’t use foul language; however, I did inform her that I was ending the call. She outright refused to refund the driving fees. In hindsight CHESNUT IS FAR BETTER!

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough great things about Hester Driving Academy. Both instructors were excellent both in knowledge and experience. My son could not have gotten better training for his experience in his new driving career than with Hester Driving Academy. I recommend this Academy highly.

Negative experience: The owner was rude when I explained I couldn't take her call at the time. 8pm is not a decent hr for me to talk about something as important as this, with being a mom to a one yr old. If I would have known it was the school I wouldn't have answered, I normally answer unknown numbers due to running online business's. I was txting with the owner but could care less if she replies. As a business woman my self u can't be snooty with possible customers, definitely will not recommend this business

Fantastic experience: Between my anxiety riding with her, and her own anxiety, my daughter was pretty late about getting her license. At 19 she made the decision to go to Hesters and do the adult driving lessons and it was the best decision. She was much more comfortable driving with someone else. She did the 12 hour option. It gave her the confidence she needed. Now she has her license and loves driving.

Fantastic experience: This was an amazing experience for any adults who are looking to take drivers Ed I genuinely learned a lot from the classroom portion and highly recommend taking it if your first starting driving out then after I completed the classroom portion I took the driving portion which was also an amazing experience for a beginner driver they taught me everything I needed for basic driving and taught me what’s going to be on the license test. I highly recommend to anyone who’s wanting to learn how to drive

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough about Hester Driving Academy. Hal and his staff are phenomenal. Our son absolutely loved his driving instructor. We had an unforeseen circumstance arise with our son and Hal worked so hard to help us with it! He made sure everything was perfect so our son could get his permit on his birthday! Fantastic experience: A great training & education facility with very friendly educators. We have had 2 children go through the academy as well as their friends. We drive 1h 45min to be part of this academy.

Positive experience: Its a good place to learn how to drive. The online instruction was tough however. They still did a wonderful job for never having dont it before. I'm sure learning in a classroom is a lot easier and I would recommend this place. The only negative is that times you can start to drive seem to be all over the place. Many of my friends recently took the 30 hours of instruction and can't get the 6 hours of driving until November.

Fantastic experience: Excellent and professional customer service. They go above and beyond to help unique circumstances. Compared to the public school system, this is a much better option. Personalized classes, and willing to work around busy schedules. They also made extra efforts to ensure they were still able to have class virtually during Covid-19 to help the kids not get so far behind. Would definitely recommend this private driving academy. Excellent experience.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible. Think twice before you use these folks. Little did we know but there’s a whole community of folks that have bad experiences with the Hesters. We found out after trying to deal with them. Didn’t ask for anything unreasonable. Quick to take your money- but you are certainly on their schedule. Not flexible.

Fantastic experience: Love the Hester Driving Academy. They are dedicated to making sure the students are prepared to safely drive. Miss Pam works endlessly to ensure the students get the class work done and Mr Hal is very accommodating to getting all the practice driving completed. Thank you both for your dedication!
