160 Driving Academy of Freeport

Fantastic experience: I just finished school 2-20-2025. I got my cdl on first try. Joe and Ralph are damn good instructors and fun to be around with. Made some new friends. The experience was good and fun. I’d recommend 160 driving academy to anyone. I give a 5 stars to the school. Thank you for teaching me a getting me out of old habits. Joe, thank you so much for the experience and teaching me and answering my questions and also call out my bullcrap mistakes lol. and Ralph, thank you for the experience an answering my questions. An also thank you for giving me the knowledge I have and going through pretrip throughly with us a showing how it’s done. Your jokes and sense of humor made the days go by fast for sure. I’m going to miss you guys, felt like a second family. I’ll definitely have to come back an visit an give updates on my new adventures. An thank you Scott and April for everything as well

Fantastic experience: Just finished getting my Class A CDL thanks to Kathy, Kelvin, and Ralph. I had a great time in this class while still learning a lot and I am very thankful for having two great instructors. And for having Kathy there to help me with anything I asked! I’m going to miss this class! 10/10 would recommend this class to anyone reading this, it’s definitely worth it

Positive experience: Not sure why I have to take off work and drive over an hour to talk in person to get info instead of on the phone. Not the place for me I suppose

Fantastic experience: I had a great time @ 160. I hate that its over. Anthony and Ralph are good people. Great instructors. Over time bonds will b made with them. They both taught me well along with Bonnie. As long as you’re willing to put in the work they will to. Kathy is amazing. And sweet and always there to help. If u don’t kno how to drive a stick shift here’s a perfect place to start.

Fantastic experience: This class is awesome. Both Anthony and Ralph are great and they work with you and teach you everything that you need to know to get your CDL. If you want to get you CDL come thru this Freeport yard. Kathy is also wonderful and great she will help you with anything you need to get you thru this course. Thank you guys a bunch couldn't have chosen a better yard to get my CDL

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank Anthony ,Ralph for the excellent training in yard. And Kathy for all the great in class training all are very good at what they do. Would recommend 160 for anyone getting into trucking field .

Fantastic experience: My experience with 160 driving academy of Freeport was amazing, my class was small allowing for plenty of interaction with the instructors who teach quickly and effectively to those willing to learn. The 4 weeks flew by and before I knew it I held a class A license. Thanks for the care and consideration 160!

Fantastic experience: It was such an easy process all you need to do is show up and Kathy with get you started. They make the whole process really easy and answer any questions you have along the way. 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Freeport 160 academy was the perfect place for me to study for my CDL. The class size was great. A lot of one on one teaching. The instructors were very knowledgeable and patient. Ralph was exceptional. Kathy made sure you kept up with the book studies also. She was very helpful. Not only did I get my CDL, but my son and nephew also studied there and received their CDL. It's a great retirement job for me, and great job for my son at an early age. Thanks Freeport 160 Academy

Positive experience: They got me my license but just enough training. There should be way more drive time, education & training. The lady in office is amazing! She's so kind hearted!

Fantastic experience: They were great! Instructors do s great job of getting you ready for tests and CDL drive tests/ skills.

Fantastic experience: They are the best in Freeport and will make sure you get your cdl and are a safe driver. Kathy helps you get started and sees you through to the end. Then there is Joe who helps you pass the driving and pre trip test with flying colors. Chris who we had in the yard also helped us get through driving a pre trip. Thank you guys for all you done and are doing for us new drivers. I miss you guys
