Fantastic experience: Customer Service is outstanding at Safe2Drive. This course was for my husband who disdains such instructions (after all, he's driven for over 60 years!), but he had no complaints (except the time it took) and actually enjoyed the light-hearted humor tucked in each lesson. Fantastic experience: Safe 2 Drive was like a refresher class for me, it was things that I have forgotten, the 9 lesson with quizzes , and games you can play during learning time was a great way ton break away from the reading. I did all of my lessons and test in two days, and the price was not so bad, I didn't want any points on my license . Thanks Again

Fantastic experience: Thankfully, I did some research before deciding to go with Safe2drive! Best decision I ever made. If you look at the reviews for the other state approved/recommended traffic school companies, they have way too MANY complaints about the course/website doesn’t work, freezes up etc. Plus, the other companies had terrible or no customer service. SAFE2Drive helped me resolve my concern (which they didn’t have to) within in an hour. They even called me back to let me know the outcome. and when I didn’t answer, they sent an email to let me know they were able to help. Great company and customer service!!!!

Negative experience: Apparently they can't keep up their end and send an email, go to any other driving class

Ryan - We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We do see that once you completed the course your certificate was successfully emailed to you. Your completion record was also submitted to the Indiana BMV the following business day. Upon investigating this, we found that the Indiana BMV did not have the completion record showing on file. The completion was submitted electronically, and we did receive confirmation it was processed. We did work with the Indiana BMV to get this resolved right away and the completion record was successfully resubmitted. We have made several attempts to contact you, to provide peace of mind and let you know this has been resolved and to ensure that you received credit for the course, but we have received no response. We know how important your driving record is and we can imagine how nerve-wracking a situation like this can be. We do sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and frustration. We routinely encourage our customers to follow up with the appropriate agency to ensure course credit was accurately reflected. Fantastic experience: This is an excellent course, not just for older drivers. I took this or a similar course a few years back, and what a great consciousness-raiser it was. We discount or deny the physical and cognitive changes that aging brings. Our brains receive and give messages more slowly, or reaction times slow, our peripheral vision and depth perception change. All these impact our ability to be good defensive drivers. This course earns drivers an insurance discount. And it's easy to use--no smart phone or app required. It would be hard to overstate the value of this course, especially for older drivers. And as others have said, the customer service is great!

Fantastic experience: Excellent customer service. I had different traffic schools to choose from. I went with Safe2Drive because legal deadlines are scary. And their website and reviews consistently mentioned speedy and efficient customer service. And that was my experience exactly! When I submitted an urgent email request in obvious frustration, customer service took the initiative to *call me* directly by phone. For once, a company that actually meant what it said. That's so rare these days. Thank you S2D for going above and beyond! I will return if ever needed again.

Negative experience: Very predatory and scammy school. If you sign up to take a test, it automatically fails you if you happen to forget personal information. Also intentionally displays the number of questions you get wrong so that you're more likely to fail so that they get more money on repeat tests. Very dissatisfied.

We are sorry to hear that you feel this way Josh. Safe2Drive takes pride in being upfront and honest with our students so you can imagine how saddened we were to see your review. I see that your daughter registered for our FL TLSAE course and Permit Test. We know that getting a first-time license can be nerve-wracking for both the teen and the parent(s). Safe2Drive tries very hard to make the experience as stress free, educational, and as enjoyable as possible and we work very hard to give information up front regarding how things work. We are also here to help when our students have questions, they can reach out via phone, email, or chat and our friendly customer support representatives will be happy to help! It looks like your daughter did well with the TLSAE course, passed and was issued her certificate right away. Congratulations! Where she struggled was with the permit test. I see that she attempted the test 3 times through our website. The test provided on our site is the actual FL HSMV permit test, we are not in control of the exam. The FL HSMV allows teens to take the exam online a total of 3 times before being required to take the exam in person. This test is an extremely important test as it will help to determine if a teen knows the rules of the road and is in a place to get a permit and get behind the wheel of a vehicle or not. I am sure as a parent you can understand why the state takes the administration of the test so seriously. The state has strict rules for the exam online, they want to be sure that all teens are doing the test themselves. Looking at your daughter’s account, I see that she failed the first 2 attempts after missing too many questions. We always suggest taking some time to study in between exams if failed due to incorrect answers. I see in your review that you feel that the site showing how many questions have been missed is done intentionally to set students up to fail. I assure you that this is not the case. It is our goal to have every teen pass on the first try, we want to see them all succeed; however, we also want them to be safe, just like the state does. As mentioned previously, although the exam is being taken on our site, it is being administered by a third party contracted by the state. Each question is scored by the agency as soon as it is answered and yes, the teen is shown when they get a question incorrect just like they would at a licensing office. I can see how this may be a bit nerve-wracking for some, but unfortunately, this is also not in our control and most definitely is not done in hopes that one fails so we can charge more, that would just be cruel. Matter of fact in states where we are allowed, we allow unlimited retakes FREE of charge. Florida just does not happen to be one of the states that allows this. The third attempt at the permit test was failed due to your daughter missing a validation question. The state requires validation questions to be answered when they register for the course and then will be asked again periodically throughout the exam to ensure that someone else is not taking the exam for them. If a student fails to answer one of these questions correctly, the state fails the student automatically, again even though this may be frustrating, it is out of our control. We do go over this process on our website and during registration as well and the questions are based off of the student’s personal information. We truly are sorry that you and your teen were not happy with the exam results and if there was something in our control that we could do to help we absolutely would. We hope that your daughter was able to take the permit test at the licensing office and is doing well learning and staying safe on the road. Positive experience: I picked this school online because it was a good price that they offered and the reviews were mostly positive. Because of the customer service representatives I would have given them five stars. They had to deal with me screaming into my phone at 150 dB. I even cursed a little. This was on the voicemail. When they called me back, they helped me and we’re very friendly. I apologized for screaming and cursing. The one and only problem that I had was the verification questions before starting the modules. They ask questions like my favorite color and my favorite type of music etc. but then near the end I had to answer the name at the beginning of the prior module and I didn’t see a name. That blocked me from continuing, and there was no way to talk to them on a Sunday night. Once they explained, and I went back to my modules, it did the same thing. It asked me what kind of animal was in front of the car in the module. I didn’t know I was supposed to remember that animal. I would’ve remembered a question relating to the fact that it was me taking the test, so I do recommend the school, but make sure at the beginning in the end, and even in between that you take note of unusual things like types of animals and peoples names and you’re own verification questions like mothers, maiden name or favorite color, and you’ll be OK.

We understand that we are all human and can get frustrated and perhaps react in a manner that we normally wouldn’t under other circumstances. We try very hard to take these things into consideration when helping a frustrated customer. Our end goal is always to help the customer wherever we can and if we can help to turn their day around and make it a brighter one, we will do that too!
Regarding the verification questions, Safe2Drive (and all FL BDI Course Providers) is required by the FL HSMV to ask these types of questions. We do our best to make sure that our students are clear on what to expect from the course ahead of time. During the registration process, we do have a page that explains the validation process and then asks you 5 personal questions which will be used later on to verify identity. This page then explains that you will be asked a validation question after each of the 9 lessons, the first 5 will be based off the personal validation questions and the last four will be based off of images seen in the course. The FL HSMV wants to ensure students are actually taking the course and reading the content. The questions are based off images in the course instead of content that might be known by common knowledge even if they did not participate in the course. They are not able to monitor like they would if the student was in a classroom, so these are the processes they put in place to help to ensure the students are participating so that they can continue to allow students the privilege of taking the course online. Fantastic experience: I used Safe2Drive for the 5 hour NY DMV license course and had a great experience doing so. Registering and accessing the content was simple and straight forward. The material itself was also educational and informative. The voice identification also worked well, however on a few occasions it wouldn't work as expected. You also only have 45 seconds to complete them, so make sure you have your phone ready to dial before initiating. Despite a few minor hiccups though, the system worked well and as intended.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience doing the 5 hour course required by the NY DMV for a driver’s license with Safe2drive. Safe2drive wasn’t the cheapest option, but it was worth every cent. I read online that the other companies were impossible to reach, whether it be over the phone or whatever, but I called Safe2drive, got in touch with an actual human, got all of the information I needed and was off the phone in less than 4 minutes. Incredible customer service. The course itself was great, too. It was very thorough, detailed and in an easy to understand way. The system was pretty efficient, too. I did the course at my own pace and it always saved my progress. When I finished the course on Thursday, they sent my results back to the DMV on time for my road text on the following Tuesday. So everything worked out flawlessly. I extremely recommend Safe2drive to everyone — good course, good system and excellent customer service. If you want a headache-free company, go with Safe2drive.

Fantastic experience: Because they were so thorough, we used the instructional driving modules for both daughters' practice hours. Both successfully passed the road test and received their driver's license on the first try. Also, the Safe2Drive customer service was both efficient and responsive, something we continue to appreciate.

Negative experience: Horrible - You start taking a test and then it logs you out and tells you that you failed. When you call they say you need to pay another $25 - what a scam!

Safe2Drive not only takes pride in offering great products, but we also work very hard and do the best that we can to make our customers happy, our customers are truly important to us. We understand that getting your driver license can be a nerve-wracking experience and we do our best to help to make the process as seamless as possible. Unfortunately, we are not always able to comply with a student’s request as we are bound by rules and regulations of the state. As we explained to you and your mother via chat, you were taking the Florida Permit test which requires each student to answer a validation question periodically throughout the test. The state requires the student to answer every validation question correctly to ensure that someone else is not taking the test for you, this process is what allows the state to offer the test online instead of having to take it at the department in front of a proctor. If a student fails any of the validation questions, the test is automatically failed, and you are required to start the test over again. As we do empathize with your frustrations, unfortunately our hands are tied in these situations as we are not able to break the law and make exceptions to allow students to proceed when they fail a validation question. Once again, we do empathize with your frustrations and if we could do something further, we absolutely would do so. We wish you all the best and hope you are enjoying your new license!
