Meadows Driving School: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Had 2 instructors Shaun and Dean and they were both funny and respectful. (I'm only on my 3rd lesson so I will update this review when I'm done with all 12) Edit: I finished all 12 lessons last year but I forgot to update this review lol. It is safe to say that all the instructors that I've had were respectful and resilient with their teachings. They taught me how to park, parallel park, 3 point turns, backup 50 feet, and best of all, prepared me for the final driving test. On the final driving test, you hand the instructor your DMV permit paper, (The test instructor I had looked like Ted Lasso) and then they keep it for when you have to drive. Obviously, you learned the basics and you demonstrate them on the road. Im not sure but I think there are 2 people in the car during the final drivers test. Ayy but overall they were both polite and kind towards me.
Negative experience: 0 stars if I could. Shaun Gezotis, an instructor, is objectively one of the rudest people I have ever met. Passive aggressive and accusatory tone, ends the lesson before the full hour. MANY people I know had Shaun and had similar experiences. Not worth the money. Maria, the owner, definitely knows this and is okay with it.
Negative experience: If I could leave no stars at all, I would. My parents paid nearly $800 to this school in hopes that they would give me proper drivers ed and on-roads. The drivers ed portion was okay considering it was during covid and it was all done through zoom. The onroads however , were the most terrible experiences i’ve ever had. You were to complete 12 onroad lessons and I could only make it through 5 before I gave up. My instructor, Sean, was very racist, very micro-aggressive, and just rude. He spent the hour picking on me and saying things that weren’t very encouraging and made it hard to focus on driving correctly, which he then called me out for. One lesson, as the second kid is driving me back home, he and the instructor were both in the front seats picking on me. Later on Sean said he was “just joking”. When I tried to contact Maria about possibly switching out my instructor multiple times, she never reached out to me back once. Eventually I gave up. They took the money and couldn’t even do a semi decent job. Never again. Do not bring your kids here especially if you are a person of color. It has been several years since I lived through this and yet it is still one of the most traumatic things to happen to me.
Negative experience: Bad experience. Go to AAA, they won’t scam you out of your money.
Fantastic experience: I had Jay for my third appointment, I can say he is amazing at what he does. He is serious, but at the same time makes the driving lesson enjoyable. The way he explains how to maneuver and execute parking, turning, etc is perfect. It makes it much easier to learn. He was a very respectful person, and a very good instructor.
Negative experience: Instructor almost ran me over in crosswalk on maple st in east long than argued with me (lol) guy in pickup truck exiting dunkin donuts stop who behind instructor for.meadows driving school
Fantastic experience: I had Jay honestly hes a really good instuctor, after having a few lessons with him i instantly feel safer on the road. He has exelent teaching skills. 10/10 experience!!!
Negative experience: The woman who runs this driving school is super rude and was so unprofessional swearing on the phone at me because I spent months trying to contact her via phone and had to leave messages asking for her to call me back because my son needed to reset his password to book driving lessons. She called me a liar and swore. Would not recommend! Also, if we gave our son cash to give the driving instructor, they would say he never paid so I had to write checks so I could prove we paid. I wanted to go elsewhere but apparently everything would have to be switched at the RMV. They also charge about $200 more than Belmont and United.
Negative experience: hmmm….. This is the most unprofessional juggling school I’ve ever been to.
Negative experience: I'll let the picture speak for itself. If you teach it's ok to park in front of a no parking sign. I wonder how they even got there driver license.
Fantastic experience: MARIA and her staff have been nothing but EXTREMELY wonderful, especially due to these tough times! We appreciate EVERYTHING you have done to accommodate our son and his crazy schedule.
Negative experience: We did not have a good experience with this Driving School. When my daughter went to take her Test, she was told her Paper Permit was warn out and not readable (note: RMV has everything online) , so she was Rejected. This is the same Permit she presented to the School for each On Road, and then to schedule her Driving Test. She was not warned that she needed to get a new one. So when it was time to schedule another Road Test, Maria wasn't going to give us a Test refund without a yelling match. We then had to wait out the rejection and then many weeks later to schedule with this Driving School for another test. Lots of stress. We won't be going there for my Son.
Negative experience: Very difficult to schedule on roads. No flexibility. 6 week gaps in scheduling as they’d only schedule 3 at a time. Can’t schfeule additional on roads until your 3 are done, and by the time I scheduled next they were booked 6 weeks out. Would not use again.
Negative experience: We did not choose to use this company for our 2nd child's drivers education. Our 1st child did learn everything she needed to pass her drivers test, with this company, but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. We found Maria to be snappy and defensive in response to any criticism. Their on-road scheduling procedures made it difficult to complete on-roads to test on-time, resulting in an 2 month delay for our daughter. (can only schedule 3 on-roads at one time, and lots of stalling in between) If you ask around, you will hear similar complaints from other parents. Your child will pass their test, but I would advise you to do your homework and give your money to someone who provides better customer service for your $600.
Negative experience: Rude and inconsiderate owners.
Negative experience: Very bad, Never on time. Today I was suppose to have a behind the wheel leasson at 3 pm, it is 3:26 pm, they are still not here yet. Don't recommend this school at all. They are so bad with scheduling too. Don't waste you money with this school. Thank you
Fantastic experience: Very friendly owners and reasonable prices! Go check it out and see for yourself!
Fantastic experience: Love this place. Has excellent workers, everyone is so nice.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic. Palmer Meadows had an excellent staff and fantastic learning tips and pointers. For new students, this is the place to go. Excellent offers to!
