Negative experience: ABIX TOOK MY MONEY I paid $400 in 2023 for my daughter to attend driving school. We had personal issues and could not attend the class. Here it is, August 2025, and I called to see if they would still honor the $400 from 2023. Nope. This lady said "out of good faith" she tried to contact me to have my daughter enroll in a later class that year(2023) but did not get a response. So, she said we now have to pay $450 (the fee went up) for a total of $850 for 1 adult 14 hour class. She is aware that I paid in full $400 in 2023, but still expects me to pay $450, OUT OF GOOD FAITH! I've seen other reviews that said this woman, Theresa, is only worried about the money. From my experience, SHE IS!!! That definitely is not good faith. Not even a discount. She needs church. (So, what happened was I went into the Abix school, gave the woman $400 cash and got absolutely nothing in return. No refund, no classes taken, NOTHING. But it was all done in good faith.) Thanks Ms. Theresa Goelz! We appreciate your good faith. UPDATE 10/13/2025 No ma'am, I did not state that she didn't have her previous citations cleared. What I said was she never did get a TIP card. She is cleared and now has a driver's license because we went to another driving school. No one in their right mind would give a business $400 and not speak to them for 2 1/2 years. That is a flat out lie. I came in to your office, after I paid you $400, and told you she had citations that I was unaware of and that I did not find out until we went to the DMV to get the TIP card. I also told you that I was paying for the driving school as a gift to her. I advised you that I had no idea how long it would take her to pay her citations and asked for a refund. You refused and said the only thing you could do was schedule her in a later class. I, again, let you know that it would probably take her a while to pay for the citations, to just give me my money back and we would re-register when she had everything taken care of (she was an adult and your diving school was a gift from me) and you would not and did not give me my money back. No one just gives $400 away without receiving a service, so do not pretend like I did not communicate with you after handing you $400. You did not act in good faith, and I believe people should know.

Negative experience: That isn’t really mature of you Ms / Mrs. Theresa, Y’know when you’re giving feedback you’re not supposed to send out people’s personal matters on google reviews. Not really professional so pipe down.

Fantastic experience: I enjoyed my experience at the ABIX driving school. The instructors are professional and the process was so easy and smooth. I definitely recommend this school.

Negative experience: Good afternoon, I need to know if abix does the computer test and the driving test that is needed to obtain the license, without the need to take the course when an adult person already knows how to drive.

Fantastic experience: Great experience. Great teacher in class and on road. Mrs Theresa was the best very kind and willing to work with students. Mr Greg was the same these two are top tier teachers. Negative experience: Went here today. Took a road course test, the lady who drove with me was super disrespectful. She either was having a bad day or that’s just her personality. She told me that I got an 82 when 80 is needed to pass. She told me I shouldn’t have been going 35 in a 35. Then told me I made a car slam on their breaks, when they were a reasonable distance away. She told me I should not be on the road because of how aggressive I was (see above for reasons). She wanted me to get my mother so I did. She told my mother I passed but should stay off the road. Then continued to tell my mother if I drive like that I’ll be in the newspaper and another statistic. Glad that I’ll never have to go back there. Hoping she was just in a mood, but still don’t tell parents that their kids are a possible statistic.

Fantastic experience: This driving school is a really great school I would recommend this school to any looking to get their drivers license. This school has Amazing lessons and practice an even better teach

Fantastic experience: This driving school is top tier. It’s clean and always smells good. Mrs. Theresa was great, with an instructor like her it’s no way you can not pass she breaks it down all the way to make you understand all the material easily. When doing my roads test she made me feel very comfortable and that is important. Mr.Greg was also awesome he also made me feel very comfortable. 10/10 if I could give 10000 stars I would.

Positive experience: This is more of a suggestion than a review but I made the rating how my personal experience was here, I got my period in the middle of my first day at ABIX and I had to call my stepmom to drop off feminine hygiene products because there were none of these in the bathroom so i highly suggest the possibility of having a small basket in the restroom with a few tampons and pads in it just in case of an emergency, but other than that it’s decent, the instructor is strict and the videos are boring but the way she explains the parts of the slideshow are easy to understand

Negative experience: Racists! The female instructor who didn’t even introduce herself is so mean. She makes u feel uncomfortable the whole time. She’s impatient and yells. They act as though you’re not paying.The gentleman I forgot his name is great and makes you feel comfortable. He actually gives good instructions. I wish I hadn’t have gone to ABIX it’s actually the worse experience ever.

Negative experience: half the people in chalmette cant drive. something isn't adding up.

Fantastic experience: Very professional, helpful, courteous and knowledgeable staff. My daughter took her road test today and we had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend ABIX.

Fantastic experience: Amazing. I'm 21 and was really terrified of driving but from testing to driving everyone at Abix was super helpful and nice. Also the least expensive in pretty much the whole city, which is a plus. HIGHLY recommend to anyone, especially people who are nervous about learning. 5 star experience!

Fantastic experience: I enrolled to ABIX Driving Academy School, and passed written exam, 8 hours behind wheel and the road test, with the help of my wonderful and patience instructor, Ms. Theresa, Sir Greg and Sir Charles Jr one the best school that i experienced. They are willing to work around and work schedules on your most convenient time.They have a friendly environment ,very professional instructor who are very concerned with their students.Thank you so much for everything to Ms. Dee and Sir Charles Sr for all the help.The price are very reasonable compare with other driving school. Fantastic experience: I love this driving school! They work with you, and it was the best driving school I've ever experienced. They teach you everything from the different signs to parallel parking and reverse parking. They are the best driving school with the best prices, driving teachers, and owners. I highly suggest people to attend this driving school.

Fantastic experience: My granddaughter went to ABIX and loved it. The class was taught in a way that was easy to understand, questions are welcomed and encouraged. She had no problems getting her 8 hours of driving done. She was taught not only how to drive safely, even on the interstate, but also all types of parking including parallel parking. All of my granddaughter's friends and other students she met in class were completely finished in less than 4 weeks, and they had a full class. ABIX accepts checks, money orders, credit/debit cards or cash. ABIX Driving Academy is a great school, and has professional instructors that are truly concerned about their students driver training. The price is very reasonable. Highly recommended.
