With over 12 locations across the Denver Metro area, DriveSafe is the largest, and only AAA approved Driving School in the State of Colorado. While our locations’ office hours vary, we do offer scheduled drive lessons and license tests 7 days a week, with driving lessons ending as late as 9pm.

Negative experience: Don’t waste your money. Instructors are useless. If I could go back and choose another driving school, I would.

Negative experience: Parents be aware that unless your child is a part of their school this is a SCAM. They will fail your child, even with having attended other reputable driving schools in Colorado, with random excuses so that you “schedule” another driving test with them. Save your money and go with another school. Update: My son took the driving test again, three days later, a retired cop as his test administrator, he passed.
Hi Vicky, thank you for your feedback. The license test standards are set forth by the state of Colorado, and our drive testers are certified by the state to observe and report to those standards. The test is designed to ensure drivers understand and abide by safe and lawful practices. The reason we recommend refresher lessons or courses for students in preparation for their drive test, is because the license test evaluates over 100 items that measure your skill and knowledge of legal and safe driving practices, which even seasoned drivers can overlook. Given the complexity of the standards mandated by the state, these courses help students become more successful. It's important to note that we offer these refresher courses for educational and safety motives, not because we are trying to scam or capitalize on you. Our goal, as educators, is to ensure that all drivers on the road are safe and well-prepared. Unfortunately, in your teen's test, they did not demonstrate safe driving behavior, resulting in their drive test failure. Our drive testers cannot legally pass a student if they do not abide by safe driving practices. We recognize that no one likes to fail, but the state has designed the test to help students understand how to drive more safely. Our interest is aligned with students passing but, even more so, with everyone's safety on the road. Thanks, and best of luck to your family.
Fantastic experience: My name is jahir I forgot the staff name at Louisville branch.my instructor was very knowledgeable guided me through my learning. She was a great teacher ever I met . Lady at the reception was so amazing and very helpful. Keep it up and I really appreciate your help. Her name is Alysha not 100% sure .

Fantastic experience: Honestly, the review should be updated. I cannot understand why the stars are so low because of past reviews. Boulder schedule was packed so I made an appointment in Louisville. I first worried because of the bad reviews but it was my overcare. My teacher was Alyssa. She is super nice, understandable, and has a great knowledge about driving. I really enjoyed learning from her and she always made me comfortable with driving and being confident. I finally passed the driving test because of her. Also, drive safe is major company in Colorado so setting an appointment and other administration stuffs are all perfect.

Fantastic experience: DriveSafe is an awesome driving school. Trainer Brent actually helped me with taking out fear from me on changing lanes, wheel handling and most important he helped me to control the speed. Negative experience: Completely unreasonable fail. I was failed because my first stop, I stopped before the line, and moved forward because on coming traffic is NOT VISIBLE, AND IT IS UNSAFE TO PROCEE .WITHOUT STOPPING FURTHER UP. Also said I was speeding at one point ( was literally 2 miles over and was due to unfamiliar with vehicle and was immediately corrcted.) Really loved the zinger the instructed put in at the end, "Good news is your a good driver, bad news is you failed. " Absolutely ridiculous. Failed me on learning points actually insane.

Negative experience: Unprofessional Scam Artists- DO NOT USE! Mile High Driver Training is better and cheaper :) I've been driving for 14 years with a clean record. Let my license expire due to living in another country. Made an appointment that was obviously not entered correctly as they had double booked my time slot and were surprised to see me. Waited 20ish minutes for my instructor who proceeded to make fun of me when I asked him to check the signals and break lights. That is DMV procedure! Then he failed me for what he described as a personal choice. When I brought up that this was ridiculous and they charge $80 for the test he was unaware of the price event though he bragged about doing over 1000 drive tests. This cost me an extra $15 dollars at the DMV as went and passed my test the next day with ease. Thanks to Drive safe I'm now out $95 during a pandemic. Save your time and money go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I took a driving skills test today. I called Monday, they were able to get me in Wednesday afternoon, where as the earliest DMV appointement was 5!!! weeks out! Everyone I dealt with was great; friendly on the phone and in person and the drive test administrator was professional but kind and not a robot. They emailed my certificate of completion within minutes of finishing the drive test and by the time I got to the licensing office it was already on their system and they didnt even ask for confirmation. I honestly have nothing bad to say about my experience and recommend, at least this location, very highly. Also, they provide a vehicle for the test, which wasnt a factor for me but probably explains the slightly higher cost compared to other 3rd party testers.

Fantastic experience: I took a 6 hour course and a drive test, nothing but good things to say about this place. If you have a bit of experience and want to learn the very acute skills and practices for driving safely this is a good place to go. My instructor Kevin was super chill and I got to take the test with him as well.

Fantastic experience: I have used DriveSafe for both of my kids and I've been completely satisfied with the service. For both kids I did Drivers Ed, +6 hours of lessons and then they took the Driving Test with them.

Negative experience: What a scam!!! If you want to pass a driving test don't go to them,they will intentionally fail you and then ask you if you would like to take the test again a day later for half price. .to get you to pay again. .what a joke a waste of time and money. I! !! Complete ripped off.

The driver’s license test is graded to a set of standards regulated by the state of Colorado. Even experienced drivers can make errors on the test which lead to a failing score. The reduced test rate is designed to lower the economic impact in cases where someone needs to retest.

We notice you left multiple reviews of this nature for both our Westminster and Louisville locations, but are not sure which one you intended to review. There is no one by your name in our database, so we were not able to look into your specific experience.
It is true that practicing, especially with a professional driver, can help students do better on the license test. There is a reason the State of Colorado requires students under 18 to practice 50 hours before applying for a license. Our lessons focus on safe, law-abiding driving, which is what the license test is designed to evaluate. Taking a driving lesson is by no means a guarantee of passing the test, however. All tests are subject to the same set of state standards, and even experienced drivers sometimes do not pass. We are sorry to see that you were dissatisfied with your testing experience, but we wish you all the best in the future.

Fantastic experience: Wow, I'm shocked by the negative reviews. My son has gone through the driver's ed and 6 hrs of driving lessons at Drive Safe and has had a great experience. Negative experience: CAUTION : Took a driving test here at Drive Safe at Louisville, one of the worst experience i have ever faced. The Guy who came to test the drive has attitude problems, don't have minimum common sense (Behavioral issues) very rude behavior, don't know about customer service. CAUTION : Please do not take driving test here at the center, they will NOT pass you the driving test UNLESS if you guys take Minimum of 6 hour training sessions. Very Political and Money minded people. People who want to give there driving test here, You are wasting your Money and Time. They will fail you and explain all Bullshit reasons, they want people to take more and more tests to gain money out of your pocket. I have seen very bad reviews about this center and still attended the test, wasted my money. Kindly do not waste your money.

At times, that means a student will not pass their license test on the first try if their skills do not meet State established standards for safety.
