Greg's Driving School of Silver Spring: Reviews
Fantastic experience: We had a great experience with Greg's Driving School. We appreciated the information and scheduling tools to help us manage the driving instruction along with other commitments in our schedule. Also, special thanks to our driving instructor, Joshua in Silver Spring, who was encouraging and helped build a lot of confidence in driving. It's been a really positive and educational journey!
Fantastic experience: Love it just love it
Fantastic experience: Had Mr. Price and he was both incredibly knowledgeable and a great teacher, would recommend to anyone looking for Drivers Ed
Fantastic experience: I had a GREAT time! While I haven’t yet done the driving with a person for 6 hours, I just finished the 2 week course with Mr. Paguia. He was extremely patient and knowledgeable, and knew everything. I do recommend bringing something to take notes on. Overall, while the class was enjoyable, the teacher made it great. Because of him, I’ll definitely be a good driver. Thank you Mr. Paguia!
Negative experience: Classroom portion was online and worked great, but we've been trying for a month to schedule behind-the-wheel with no success. Called and was told they're short on instructors. I was put on a wait list but they could give no timeframe, just have to wait for a call, I guess. Really disappointed as my permit-holder was excited to get started.
Fantastic experience: I Finished my classes and driving hours and they were both fun. My instructor Craig gave me great advice especially on the driving portion. Great Feedback I will use to take the test. Classes was fun as well had a great time. Couldn’t wait to go I learned a lot. Highly recommend school I say.
Positive experience: First lesson I got Craig he was a bad instructor, he was to aggressive with me and it was my first time driving. I had little to know experience outside of a parking lot he threw me out in the street but, I have to say it did teach me to be a little more confident and he taught me how to avoid things so I give him a solid 4/10 if he would just be less aggressive and more sensible he would be a much better instructor. I hate to talk bad about someone but he’s not good at all. I’ve had plenty of friends and my sister tell me they all had bad experiences with him. I should not be yelled at while I’m driving because I don’t know how to properly turn ITS MY FIRST TIME! Second lesson & third lesson I had Rakeem very very enjoyable and helpful instructor. He taught me how to properly turn, switch lanes, be a more confident driver, how to properly stay in my lane, three point turn, two point reverse, and in all I was so so so much comfortable. I felt like I was doing good and he was talking me through it everything he told me when I did good and corrected me on my wrongs. He’s definitely an Amazing instructor and I recommend him highly 10/10. To speak on the building location it is hard to find and I did pass it twice while waiting. You all should let students wait inside at least the lobby because there’s a billion mosquitos in the front. Oh and to add please answer your phone box that would be very helpful.
Fantastic experience: Omg thank you so much guys I got my driver’s license I passed it the first time I went for it thank you so much for the good skills and especially for the confidence that I got behind the while thank you AG so much and loubna ✌️✌️
Fantastic experience: Business that cares! Both of my kids went through Greg's. Never had an issue. Reliable, organiazed, safe, and responsive. What made me write this review is the excellent customer service I have recieved when the MVA cancelled my daughter's test during this extremely volitilie time. Greg's was able to accomodate us with a new schedule, on a weekend, and went far and beoynd of what is expected of a business. Thank you! I am glad that there are still businesses that care!
Negative experience: Worst place. Called them nobody answered. Went to the place didn't even open the door
Positive experience: I went here and wasted thirty hours of my time, and my money. They were supposed to prepare me for my drivers test and I failed based on four questions that directly contradicted their program. Find a class that teaches you what you actually need to know.
Negative experience: Very rude instructors. Would not recommend.
Fantastic experience: I had a great Expriance with the school and my driving instructor Mr. Meralice Maurelus!!!
Fantastic experience: Evening class will be the best class for y'all...it's hella fun
Fantastic experience: Greg's is a great driving school in downtown Silver Spring. Maryann and Eric are great instructors.
Positive experience: Mr. Bohn was very funny and made those 3 hrs pass fast. He also loves what he does which made it more enjoyable
Positive experience: The teacher was Mr.Bonn, I really liked and enjoyed his lesson, he is very fun and sarcastic person. Told us many real stories from his carrier. And definitely taught us safe riding rules. But if you dont have an experience at allyou should all the time to explain all the symbols and sign meaning. Because he doesnt pay much attention to that.
Fantastic experience: I love my instructor Maryann. She is wonderful and very good at her job. I learned a lot from her and she is very patient. She will take her time and prepare you for your road test.
Negative experience: First of all, if you are running a business you ought to be mindful of your customers and Greg's Driving School isn't. If I have registered for the 6:15PM-9:30PM schedule and I show up at 5:30 PM and wait for 30 minutes and there is no one there I should not be disqualified from that class. This school does not send any pre-class information giving any directions. I looked up this school through google and called the number provided and saw that the office should be open till 6:30PM so why wasn't anyone there. If the teacher only arrive at 6:15PM then you ought to ATLEAST send an email to people registered to inform them that you should not show up to the class early because its not AN OFFICE its just a CLASSROOM tucked away in some BUILDING and there is ONLY ONE TEACHER THAT SHOWS UP to OPEN THE "CLASSROOM" If I am paying for your services I should not be paying to find out things that could have been avoided had you just provided students with more information. It is not that difficult. Institutions should be providing more information to prep students for classes!!! HORRIBLE SERVICES. I clearly have no choice but attend these classes again but the inconvenience caused is due to lack of a company not knowing how to estimate outcomes and try to prevent it for their customers (people who pay you).
Fantastic experience: Great teacher
Fantastic experience: I had Mr Bonn. He's great!! I learned a lot from him and he truly cares about the safety of others.
Negative experience: Very rude and will never recommend.Looking for money ask the time
Fantastic experience: My teacher was Mr Bonn and he was Amazing! He thought us; advices us and cared about us as much as parents do! He is great and really cool guy!! I definitely will recommend Gregs to all my friends and family members!
Negative experience: Not helpful, run down building In a sketchy area do not waste your money.
Fantastic experience: Great teacher, my type of person
Negative experience: We hired Greg's Driving School to give lessons to my 19-year-old daughter, and dismissed them after the first time that a Mr. Michael Lang of Greg's Driving School gave her the first lesson yesterday. We fired them for two reasons: (1) bad instruction, and (2) disrespectful behavior. Mr. Lang came unprepared about where to go, and asked my daughter to tell him where he should go to teach her to drive. Mr. Lang's driving instruction to my daughter, who had only been in the driver's seat once, was "feel your way for how to start the car." He laughed at her questions about how to drive, and did not answer them. He made fun at her anxiety about driving. He called her "babe," asked her what her father did to afford a big house, and spent more time criticizing the neighborhood than teaching her to drive. In addition to being rude, Mr. Lang demonstrated ignorance in teaching. Stay away from him and an organization that has people like him teaching your children.
