Negative experience: 2025 2023 Do not use this service, certainly not is Mr. Heredia is the instructor. In our experience, their communication is extremely faulty when even for road test, you get an email notification for a driving class stating you will be picked up at your home. But they really expect you to show up at another location. Despite the fact, we missed that appointment because of their faulty communication and they went ahead and charged us for rescheduling. Worst part however was the instructor. First, he delayed the appointment by half hour. And then shows up an hour late after that delayed start without telling us anything, all the while we were waiting outdoors (their test location is at parking lot of a church!!). When the instructor did show up, he wouldn't answer simple clarificatory questions, instead he became extremely defensive and argued almost like a petulant child. What? My question was very simple, can you please explain what line item were the 2 charges for, one for $85 and another $30. I was expecting a 1 sentence answer, and he went into a long diatribe, arguing rudely all through. Rather than being apologetic for his extreme tardiness, we found him to be extremely unprofessional in his conduct. As for their faulty communication, their own office confirmed that their communication is faulty and that they will waive the rescheduling fee but he went ahead and charged it anyway. Anyhow, that was the sum of our experience.

Negative experience: I never leave bad reviews but I must say I should have listened to the bad reviews. This place is very unorganized but for this review I will stick to the main part that really upset me . The guy that gave the road test is obviously racist/prejudice against my husband.. My son came couple weeks before my husband did the road test with the same guy, my son who is mixed race and American made mistakes on his test and the guy past him so easily. My son even said mom this guy doesn’t really care much about this test. My husband is very dark carribean man been driving for years did very well on the driving test I saw him with my own eyes for most of the test. My husband recently moved to America. He also seemed very frustrated with my husband accent. The way he talked to my husband like he was a child was unacceptable. My husband felt so sad. The first thing my husband said when he got out of the car was this man does not like me. He lied about our road test saying my husband did things he did not do only to take our money. We paid twice took the test twice we lost more than $200.

Fantastic experience: Two of our sons have taken lessons and their road tests from here. Rafa and Nina were very personable and helpful. I highly recommend!

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars I would. We paid $450 for 6 hours of lessons for our aupair that recently moved here from another country. She waited for the instructor in the shade as it's 100 degrees outside. He didn't see her and told her "This is America, I don't know what y'all do in Colombia but you need to get with what Americans do. You should have walked over to my car at 9am." He also called me and repeated this same message. Dan taught her parallel parking and she doesn't know how to part forward facing into a spot. The manager said today because regular parking isn't on the test . We are having trouble with turns and staying in the lane. I told the manager I was not happy and shared our experience. He said Dan is an excellent teacher and not racist because he's Hispanic. I never called Dan racist I said I was offended by that comment. It's unkind to tell someone that. Our driver doesn't know the basics and uses her blinker at roundabouts and leaving the driveway. Dan told her to use the blinker each time she goes left or right. The manager recorded my call when I was complaining and I asked to speak to someone else. He was not helpful at all. I didn't feel heard or like he cared. I would not recommend this driving school to ANYONE. Complete rip off. They will just take your money.

Negative experience: Not happy with their training and service. The address in google is wrong. We have chosen it because it was near Sugar Land but disappointed.

Negative experience: Save your money and go elsewhere especially if you’re looking to enroll a teenager.. Not only is the setup of the program ghetto, the instructor is extremely rude to new drivers. If you’re out here trying to instruct new drivers let alone teens how is scaring and yelling at them going to make them want to return and continue learning? Extremely unprofessional.

Negative experience: Takes advantage of customers. I signed up for this course in 2016 and was ghosted by my instructor for my last two lessons. I tried reaching out to no avail, only for them to call me back a year or so later but still no lessons. I ended up having to find another driving course and start over because they would not honor the last two lessons. If you are young and trying to get your license, go elsewhere unless you want to be taken advantage of.

Negative experience: THE MANAGER IS RUDE. During my initial inquiry, I specifically stated that my child cannot drive to their location as he doesn't have an adult available to accompany him. They offered that it is not going to be a problem that they can arrange a pick up. Feeling grateful, I even signed up to extra class just to make them feel that I appreciate them. During the class, the moment that the driver arrived he immediately have an opinion about my child and that he needed more classes. So confused, as he need to evaluate the child first before feedback. He spent 30 minute selling extra classes. During the driving test, they did not pick up my child. I called but the manager was VERY DISMISSIVE AND JUST NON STOP BLAMING YOU for the missed appointment instead of finding a solution! I requested a refund but the manager doesn't want to talk to me. I can hear her in the background telling the staff that she is not avaialble and taking her lunch at 11 AM. Addenum:And I am pretty sure it is Colony Driving School located in Sugar Land.

Negative experience: I recently applied here for a behind the wheel training course and have been neglected for my appointments for almost a month now. I don't understand where the communication gap lies but I would like to say I'm extremely disappointed considering all the reviews raving about how amazing this place is.

Negative experience: Totally waste of money and time. It’s almost impossible to schedule driving time, driver doesn’t always show up. Management is irresponsible. Ver disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough how professional and patient Raphael the driving instructor has been. My daughter has learned so much from him and is now a confident driver. The staff has also been very helpful and kind in answering all my questions. I highly recommend this driving school.

Negative experience: I wish I could give zero stars to this driving school. They took my $380 and never refunded my money back as I enrolled but haven’t gone for the class. The papers clearly say they need to refund me but they did not. I still have the receipts with me , it’s been 4 years. They have cheated me . Don’t ever go to this school. Worst driving school in texas.

Negative experience: This place almost never answers call. We have a bad instructor with lesson issues and left voicemail a few days ago and still no one called me back. My child is taking driving lessons currently. After the first lesson, the second and third lessons started going down hill. Not only the driving instructor showed up late, but also he went and sit down for lunch during my child's lesson and he asked to do so again next lesson. The 4th lesson would have happened with the same person from previous two times, I ended up telling him to forget it after waiting for over 45 minutes. Additionally, this instructor's unprofessional behavior is even more alarming. BTW - I thought we are getting driving lessons from Colony driving school, but somehow we end up getting lessons from courtesy driving instead. Please be aware!

Negative experience: I enrolled at Colony Driving School this past Summer so that I could get my license for when I went to college. It’s safe to say that I read almost every single review before I did so, and after a couple weeks of close consideration I went ahead and paid the $300 for the Behind the Wheel 14 hour course. Usually after having paid, an email confirmation comes through with a link and it’s safe to say that the link I was given didn’t work, and in addition to that, I was having log in issues. After calling, the representative didn’t help with the log in issue nor did he mention why the link didn’t work. Long story short, he promised to call back with an update on the issue and gave me the phone number of a driving instructor named Dan that was supposed to teach me the behind the wheel lesson. Well, no one ever got back in contact with me. I sent multiple emails, left multiple phone messages, and text messages. This all happened in July and it is December. It has been 6 months - almost half a year, and I still haven’t received any response from Colony Driving School nor have I gotten my $300 dollars. DO NOT TRUST THIS DRIVING SCHOOL. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: I'd definitely recommend Colony Driving School to my friends and family. Mr. Dan Heredia is a fantastic instructor! He took the time to help me understand what I did right and wrong while learning to drive. He is a very patient, knowledgeable, informative and detail oriented teacher. I passed my driving test on the first try. Thank you, Colony Driving School for helping me become a confident and a safe driver.

The course was exactly as they infom you, the instructor that I had has a lot of patience, honest, hardworking and a dedicated teacher. His name is Mr. Daniel. This experience had given me a lot of confidence as a driver, I would highly recommend this school and this instructor Mr. Daniel. Thank you for helping me to achieve my drivers license and my confidence on using the road. May this review satisfy any fear or intimidation on finding a good driving school. I am officially a 16 year old driver.

Fantastic experience: You know that feeling when you find something great and want to share it with everyone? That's how I feel about Colony Driving School. All the good reviews are true (including Yelp). I can only speak for behind-the-wheel training since I am an adult but I imagine the school is good across the board for teens and adults. Dan is calm and really eased my nerves with his patience. He will teach you how to be a good driver and what is needed to pass the drive test. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Mr. Heredia is fantastic: flexible, knowlegeable, and patient, what more could you ask for in a driving instructor? Having such an understanding teacher built up my confidence and motivated me to practice more. As a result, I passed my driving test on the first try. As a bonus, Colony Driving school started doing pickups and dropoffs from homes and makes it easy to schedule (and reschedule) drive times. This is a top notch driving school that always tries to improve itself. I'd recommend it to both adults and teens.

Fantastic experience: Dan & Rafael both are very courteous, professional & pleasure to deal with. $50 very reasonable charge, home pickup & drop off, extremely convenient. I felt very safe to have my family member learn driving from them. I would definitely recommend them in a heart beat! MB
