Negative experience: They stole my $350 and then closed the doors for good! Don’t sign up for anything these crooks offer!

Fantastic experience: You are not going to find a driving school that cares more about your kid being a good driver. They love to teach driving and it shows. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: If I could give this place negative stars I definitely would do that! That business is unprofessional and down right scammers. My daughter showed up to her 5th behind wheel class and the place was closed. We tried calling, leaving messages and emailing them for months after that and no one ever had the decency to reach back to us. My daughter ended up having to wait until she turned 18 to get her license. WHATEVER YOU DO! DO NOT GET SCAMMED BY THESE PEOPLE!!!!

Negative experience: My son completed the online course, obtained his permit, but they never sent in any paperwork to the dmv, have made several phone calls and no response, out $350 and unable to get license.

Negative experience: Signed my teen up for the online driving school, but now can't get a hold of anyone to do the next steps. Not impressed but now I'm out $350. Disappointed.

Negative experience: Very rude staff. Only nice driving instructor is Holly. Place is just overall not good.

Positive experience: Now, I would give this driving school 5 stars based off of their flexibility to do driving school online and the smoothness of it all, but 5 stars isn’t how I would describe American “Professional” Driving School. To start, I love how their online option lets students work at their own pace to get the course done. However, I feel that once it gets towards the end, that very last course is confusing. It’s confusing for the simple fact that it doesn’t fully tell where the students would take their permit test or how they’d get their MV3001 form from Am”Pro”. Not only that but, when the students end the course they are given 2 weeks to review the content they were taught so that they’d be refreshed for their permit test, which leads me to my next point. They give the students these 2 weeks to review and they say, “We’ll get your form (MV3001) ready,” but it clearly doesn’t seem to be ready when you need to go get it. Saturday, June 26, 2021, workers at Am”Pro” contacted parents saying that we should come in for a meeting at 9:15AM to discuss the students next steps. When we went, at 9:15AM, the doors were locked and nobody was there. What kind of business is that? You tell your students and parents to come in for a meeting and you guys are nowhere to be found!? And then, we go on to call Am”Pro” to see if the meeting was cancelled and what was going on but guess what? No answer. We have called multiple days, and they never answer the phone. This is a clear pillar of unprofessionalism, which doesn’t adhere to their name American “Professional” Driving School. This company needs serious help. And let’s not mention the price! Jesus! It increased by $50. Ain’t no way these parents are paying $350 to get their students poor driving lessons. Now, American “Professional” Driving School, please stop wasting students and parents time, and stop keeping students from getting their permit. However, on the contrary, they are a very great driving school. Kevin, Holly, and Jerilyn are very nice individuals:)) Sincerely, An Irritated Student.

Fantastic experience: Four of our kids went through Ampro in the past 4 years. They are tough, but they want to make sure the kids take driving seriously. As parents, we greatly appreciate that and share those values. We have always had great follow up from the owners and appreciate their organization. They end with a parent's class that explains everything in great detail. I have read the other reviews that minorities may not be treated the same. That troubles me if it occurred. We did not experience this with our kids. Three of our four kids who did the training are fully Hispanic and they never had any issues.

Negative experience: Trying to schedule my sons driving time...called and am unable to leave a message as your mailbox is full. Having to schedule driving aapps two months out. Wish there was an easy system for this.

Negative experience: This may work for some but absolutely not for us! My son didn't learn a thing and was so confused about assignments after each class that she refused to let him take his permit test there and caused a missed day of school to go out to DMV she is VERY impatient rude and unorganized. She never answers the phone or returns calls. We had so many questions that needed to be answered and she was always clised unless there was a class and necer returned our calls. There is no support from there end. Luckily we were able to practice with our son daily and he was able to pass his test. I would not recommend sending your child here.

Fantastic experience: Last spring, my husband began researching/visiting the drivers education schools in our area for our adolescent to attend. After completing his research, he decided on American Professional Driving School. American Professional Driving School is owned and operated by Jerilyn and Kevin Bradley. Jerilyn is a graduate of UW-Whitewater with a M.S. in Safety/Driver Education. She taught drivers ed/physical education/health in the Racine Unified School District for 33 years. The drivers education course consist of a 30 hour Theory Class and 12 hours of In Car Training. The Theory Class "is designed to help students with the basic skills and knowledge required to operate a motor vehicle safely. It introduces and reinforces the techniques for applying the Rules of the Road to the physical, mental and social aspects of safe driving." The 12 hour In Car Training consists of 6 lessons, each is 2 hours in length. (1 hr. Behind the Wheel training and 1 hr. Observation) Students will experience a variety of driving situations during this portion of the course. Gerilyn, Kevin and their staff are courteous and professional. The instructors work with the students to give them the knowledge and confidence they will need to pass both their written and behind the wheel exams. Our adolescent's experience with American Professional Driving School has been a positive one. We give this driving school two thumbs up!

Negative experience: I think that the owner should call it quits.. She is very rude and I feel like her mind is leaving her already. Its sad but all she wants is the money and don't care about anything else.. She has an ugly attitude and I feel like the people around her have less experience then She has.. I feel as if she was the one who gave birth to the current president of the United States.

Negative experience: Very inconvenient, unorganized, rude, disrespectful, and doesn’t teach a thing. They had to reschedule my behind the wheel 5 times in one day. They never answer the phone and call you back weeks later and have to schedule behind the wheels months out. The best person for your behind the wheel is Holly. I learned nothing for the other instructors when I had them, but Holly helped me and actually taught me how to drive. The amount of money I paid is ridiculous considering my experience. I definitely DO NOT recommend. Every person I talked to that went there is disappointed and would say the same thing.

Negative experience: Horrible!! They are rude and inconvenient more worried about criticizing them actual teacher the student how to drive!

Negative experience: Very unorganized. They screwed up my daughter's behind the wheel appointments and now she's not getting her license til months after she was supposed to get them. 300 dollars is a lot of money for a big inconvenience.

Andrea Peacock 8 years ago

Negative experience: If I could give zero I would. Unprofessional and rude. Never return calls. Because they keep booking my daughters behind the wheel 2 months apart they now have caused her road test to be delayed by about three months after her elgiblity and her already set appointment. Wish I could charge them for all the inconvenience and grief they have caused us.

Fantastic experience: Well taught courses that make learning the rules of the road easier. The instructors and the focus on learning make this driving school a 5 star place.
