Negative experience: Johnny is such a poor role model on young drivers. Smoking in front of children and directing aggressive language toward other drivers on the road promote unsafe driving. Do not waste your money at Middletown Driving School unless the owner George takes responsibility for his egregious employee.

Fantastic experience: Love Johnny OH, he was great. My daughter felt comfortable driving with him and having him teach her. The price was right!

I failed my first test because I couldn’t get over my nerves but the second time around I was reminded that I was overthinking it & that I knew exactly what to do. The price was great & I gained so much confidence in myself. I wish I didn’t wait as long as I did to get my license because it was a great experience & nothing to be scared of. Fantastic experience: My Daughter's instructor Johhny of middletown driving school was amazing. She was really nervous about starting to drive, as I'm sure all kids are, but when she came home home from her first lesson, she was as confident as ever. It's a testimate to the professionalism of Johnny as an instructor. She was so excited for next lesson, and once she finished her 6 hours and recieved her permit, she wants to drive all the time now. I have 2 more daughters that will be going to Johnny at middletown driving school. I would recommend Johnny to anyone who needs a driving school.

Negative experience: Johnny, you disrespected the fact that my son was a new driver by screaming at him and threatening to take him home for making mistakes on the road. If you didn’t feel that he was ready to drive on Route 35 and Route 36, then you shouldn’t have instructed him to drive on those roads. Also, you can’t expect him to learn how to drive from solely watching me drive. Humans don’t learn by just watching; they require practice to form consistency. I’m ashamed that your company took five weeks to schedule my son only to offer him your immature behavior.

Negative experience: My friends and I all had to quit before our six hours were completed because of Johnny. He's a tall man with gray hair in a ponytail. He loses his temper which makes the driving unsafe for students. Don't bother wasting your money at Middletown Driving School; go somewhere else instead.

Negative experience: John is the most unprofessional driving instructor in Monmouth County. His car reeks of cigarettes, and he becomes verbally aggressive if students make mistakes.

Fantastic experience: My granddaughter was a nervous wreck about driving. George sent an instructor that had her drive the parkway to Eatontown and had her practice her parking. They took her for a test, were very calming, and she passed the first time. Great school!

Negative experience: When my daughter called to inquire about their services, the lady who answered the phone was very, very rude to her. Not necessary. Learn how to politely speak to teenagers!

Fantastic experience: I have NO idea what the negative poster is talking about. The school is there to teach the practical basics of driving and to satisfy the State's mandatory 6 hours of road time. It's up to the parents to take their kids out and help them get the time & experience necessary to PASS the road test. Both of my kids went through MDS' program - one has her license and the other takes the road test in a few months. First, the owner & office staff could NOT be more courteous, helpful & accomodating - START to FINNISH. John met us at DMV, helped us with the paperwork, then gave my daughter the confidence she needed to get through the written test, passing it without a hitch. He then worked around our busy schedules to fit her in between school, dance & homework. He took her neighborhood driving, getting her accommodated to the streets, with concise instruction & patience. Next, she had Jake for the next two lessons, which built on the first 2 hours with John. Jake took her parallel parking and taught her the "Jake System" (his own :-) ) then took her on the highways & GSP to help build her confidence. She said that Jake was super laid back, had a calming 'no stress' approach, and that she felt very comfortable learning from him. I HIGHLY recommend MDS, and can't imagine how anyone could have a bad experience with them. Furthermore, if they did, they should cite examples and reasons before posting negatively.

Fantastic experience: My son was very nervous to get behind the wheel. George the owner assured me that they would make him comfortable and get him driving. After just one lesson my son wants to drive all the time. I highly recommend Middletown Driving school and really appreciate everything the George and his staff did to make this a great experience for my son! We will be sending all of our friends here in the future.

Negative experience: I could not have had a worse experience with this driving school. I paid over a hundred dollars for basically nothing. The instructor did not let me practice driving before my road test which is EXACTLY what he was getting paid to do. I HIGHLY considered calling for a refund because the instructor was so awful, but I didn't because I knew it would be pointless and I was not going to get the refund that I deserve. I'm so upset I wasted my hard earned money on this school. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS DRIVING SCHOOL UNLESS YOU'RE LOOKING TO WASTE MONEY ON HORRIBLE SERVICES. I will be sure to let friends know not to use this driving school and I'll be posting my review on every review site I see Middletown Driving School on. WORST DRIVING SCHOOL IN MONMOUTH COUNTY!!!!!!!
