Mullens Driving School

Fantastic experience: I passed my road test today 8/1/2025. I enrolled for private lesson last April and Melissa assigned me to Jeff Soucy asy instructor. He is the best everything i learned from him i apply it during my road test and boom! One take i passed. Jeff is the best instructor he help.me overcome my anxiety. He motivates every lesson and he trusted me that i can do it. He was very compassionate and understanding. I am from other part of the world and 45 years old. Mullens has the best instructor. I highly recommend this school.

Positive experience: Was going to be a 4, however knocking it down one due to the fact that customer service is refusing me to tell a reason why I missed some of my zoom class to the instructors. Said instructors in the real class were great though, really helpful. Only issue is the small room. (EDIT: part of it was Maine law, but still, should of let me talk to instructors and the first customer service person was being rude)

Positive experience: A pretty pleasant experience. The fees where quite large when having to reschedule but the teachers have empathy and want to answer the students questions.

Negative experience: If I could I would give this place negative stars DONT GO HERE ABD WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Great instructors! Miss Judy and Mr Hancher are fun,cool and very professional instructors. I love how they make me feel comfortable when I did my behind the wheel lessons for the first time. Learned a lot from them! Thank you and continue doing whatever you are doing!

Negative experience: Worst driving school ever! Had to get the state involved for unethical and illegal activity from Penny, the instructor. We brought the issues to the owner (of Mullens) attention and he hung up on us. The state came in and supervised the rest of the class and the written test because of how bad this school is. I would never recommend this school to anyone, EVER!

Fantastic experience: Very good driving school, fun and well spoken instructor, aswell as incredibly knowledgeable who helps learners understand and utilize the classes material.only got tazed 7 times for trying to kill the instructor while driving.

Positive experience: I had a good experience with this school. The instructors are really nice and I liked the ability to do 8 out of the 10 classes on Zoom. The Student Portal is easy to understand, and notifications were sent to me via email and text message a day or so before my classes and drive times to help remind me.

Fantastic experience: Mullens driving school is good we had some problems in the beginning when i say we i mean my dad i like mr mullen hes a pretty great dude

Positive experience: Classes were clear and informative although they were long and it was sometimes hard for me to focus. However, it was well worth it and the infomation was very creatively and clearly relayed!

Fantastic experience: The Mullens driving school was very helpful, and very educational. I do recommend going here 100 percent! The teachers are very relaxed, but always stay on task. They respond quickly and are very open to change, such as rescheduling sessions, or in car lessons. Also, the experience I had with the In car lessons were amazing! They were able to calmly tell me what to do, and how to do it without getting frustrated, because I know that can happen sometimes. When I made a mistake, they would always tell me its okay and that Im still learning and it made me feel validated and okay. I had an amazing education through this driving school, and thank you to all the instructors for helping me get through this!

Positive experience: Very strong experience to learn Driver's Ed. Ben was a very good teacher that really ended up being quite funny. The only complaint I had was that it was a little confusing to ensure you aren't charged for medical/weather cancellations but it ended up making sense. The cars are quite cramped for someone as tall as me, but that isn't really something that can be fixed. Overall quite good.

Negative experience: Unfortunately the communication was extremely poor. We had a complete opposite experience from this one then our first drivers ed school with my oldest. I will definitely not use The Driving School again for my youngest
