Fantastic experience: There is a reason why this school is #1 in the country, if your serious about trucking you wont find any better school! Its like being taught by your brothers and uncles. Tim, Dale, An Randy go above and beyond to make sure come test day your ready and confident to pass. If you have trouble with you 90° have Tim or Dale check the 5th wheel grease lol. I can't say enough good things about this school and its trainers.

Fantastic experience: SDI is the best in the business. They are very professional and show individual interest in each student. They go above and beyond to assure you are ready for test day. Dale was our instructor and totally knocked it out of the park with his 20+ years of experience behind the wheel. Dale, Randy, Mike, and Tim truly run a tight ship. Fantastic experience: Tim (instructor), and Randy (Bossman) are two bad ass cool dudes .... I have never driven any sort, a big rig. Period... i overthink everything, and I always screw things up. These guys made sure. Did I learn everything? And they did everything in their power to help me pass my test to get my CDLs ... they kept good contact with me at all times and when I struggled, they went out of their way to help me. And didn't have to. Many shouts out to both of them... and thank you for taking your time with me and helping me when you didn't have to I would recommend anyone that wants to get their CDL license to call superior trucking in Columbia, Tennessee. If you want to get them and no, for a fact, you got somebody that has your back. It's going to make sure that you get them... BIG thanks again Tim and Randy !!! I don't want forget Ms. Connie for helping me with my test taking for my permit test ... she would video call me and study with me for hours may days before I even started school she went out of her way to help me understand what I was reading and explained this in a way that truly helped me remember what I was reading to get my permit to help me get on the road .... thank you Ms. Connie Last but not least Ms. Danielle, the recruiter. My situation was a different one. And she did everything in her power to make sure that I was able to pay my tuition and get started on my new path in life ... thank you Danielle Don't be fearful of Ed either .. Fantastic experience: I recently trained for and passed my CDL at SDI in Colombia, Tennessee and it was a fantastic experience. Randy and Mike were outstanding trainers—super knowledgeable and supportive. They made the learning process smooth and confidence-building. I’d highly recommend SDI to anyone serious about getting their CDL. You’ll be in great hands!

Fantastic experience: I graduated back in October 2024 from SDI. It was the best choice I have ever made. I’m a Veteran of the US Army and knew nothing about Trucking. Before the school I’ve only seen tractor trailers from a distance. I was terrible the first week. Especially at backing up. lol the Instructors Dale and Randy are top Notch instructors. They both worked with me personally and made sure I was ready to test! If you want a school that cares about you. I would go with SDI and hope you get Dale as an instructor. He once told me that the only way to become a good trucker is to get behind the wheel. And that’s what we did. We drove all over middle TN. Interstates, back roads and highways. I failed my backing the first time. I was very disappointed because I knew they had me ready. So Randy and Dale instructed me to stay and work on the backing until my next scheduled testing Date. They both worked with me all day. Randy even stayed with me till 5 o’clock. I call that Dedication to your students! The next Monday I passed and received my CDLs. If you want dedicated instructors then SDI is the place.

Fantastic experience: Overall, it was a great experience with Superior. My initial contact via Danielle was professional and very helpful. She went above and beyond to ensure that I was enrolled in time and that my funding was ready. My instructor, Dale, was very informative. He was the perfect balance between being tough on you to ensure you are ready and being friendly and welcoming to keep you motivated and ensure a positive experience. I thoroughly enjoyed every day of class, and they definitely go above and beyond to ensure that you are ready for your test as well as your future. Fantastic experience: 10 out of 10! Highly Recommended!! For starters, Danielle Carr was very helpful and informative through the whole process! Any questions that I had she got an answer! Need help finding grants or funding? She will help!! The school itself… very laid back and easy to understand My instructor, Dale, was there every step of the way to help out and give his expert knowledge of the industry! I learned a lot in the 3 weeks of class and had a blast doing it!! Check them out if your trying to get you CDL!!

Fantastic experience: If you were a trucker in the '80s on I-40 I was the little boy with the arm out the window. On day one I was a mess. I met my instructor Dale, and he tossed me the keys and told me to Crank it up. I wasn't sure that I was even able to do that. 3 weeks later here I am as Dale would say, "You couldn't even spell one. Now you are one." Dale really took the time to learn each student's learning ability and changed his methods to make it work with each one of us. With 22 years of driving experience under his belt he had to be thinking some crazy thoughts watching us rookies. He never once put us down. He always lifted us up. At times I got so mad I had to walk away from the truck. He just let me be. He was patient and kind throughout the whole experience. In the truck on our long journeys he would talk with us and get to know us. He really invested personally into our story. We started out as strangers and finished as friends. This has been the single greatest joy I've had in my life in a very long time. I even got to catch up with Tim and Randy on several occasions and they are great men as well. It doesn't matter who you get as an instructor. Either one of those three turns the worst class d driver into a class A trucker. Special shout out to Danielle, the school's recruiter. She really was with me through it all. She's a great and professional lady. Connie spent hours with me making sure I was ready for my permit test. Anytime I called the school and didn't get through within a few seconds, Michelle would be calling. The whole team came together and got this done for me. It changed my life. Fantastic experience: I took the December CDL-A class through Superior drivers Institute in Columbia Tennessee. Overall, I was very impressed with the school. It was incredibly beneficial to be training in the exact truck and on the exact course that we would be testing on for our license. Dale was the instructor for myself and the two other manual transmission students in my class. He was very experienced and knowledgeable within the trucking industry. Dale offered a lot of information above and beyond the basic training of how to pass the test which has been an invaluable asset to the start of my career driving a commercial vehicle. Dale was excellent at tailoring the driving routes and his instruction style to each individual student in order to grant them the best learning experience and highest chance of success in testing for their CDL-A and starting their own careers.

Very high success rate for a reason dale my trainer is extremely knowledgeable and tailors your course to you .I feel confident that he could train anybody. Randy the other instructor was extremely knowledgeable as well.They have 60 years of experience between them.If you want to be a great driver not just a average one I highly recommend this school.

Fantastic experience: This is the only CDL school you should choose. Randy, Derek, Denny and Ed are fantastic. Their knowledge, patience and will to go above and beyond for you as an individual is way above standard. I felt as if I was the only student there. You'll get more drive time and range time than any other school. It's no wonder why they're voted the best in state with the highest passing ratio. Even though things didnt workout for me at this school, but with my hard work and determination I finally got my class A cdl at another school. Fantastic experience: I graduated from SDI back in November of 2020. I was instilled with the knowledge I needed to lock down a career requiring a Class A License. You can not go wrong with this institution as the small class sizes make for a more meaningful learning experience and allows you more time in the drivers seat. Negative experience: Worst school i ve ever ben to the owener calls u name disrespects me and dont teach u nuthing he sits in the trailer he calls a office playing solitary no restroom be sides a port a jon DIDN'T GO TO THIS SCHOOL

Negative experience: This is the worst "school" experience I have ever had without a doubt. You are not taught anything the whole time you attend the "school." The instructor is the worst part. He is one of the biggest jerks you will ever meet. He is very rude. He does nothing but sit behind his desk and talk about anything but driving school or he will sit at his desk and sleep. If you are looking to get your commercial drivers license go somewhere else. This is a big waste of time and definitely not worth what it costs.

Negative experience: Don't take a cdl here. The guy on the phone will hang up on you if you call him from any number but columbia. Go elsewhere!
