Negative experience: Absolutely terrible experience, I took my 5 hour course just to lose internet with 20 minutes left and what do they do?? They do now allow me to rejoin the zoom call after timing out because of the internet and now they are making me retake the 5hour and waste another 5 hours of my time even though i was in the 5 hour for the full time except the last 20 minutes. I had my camera on the whole time, participating in the questions etc. They will not accommodate to you and they will not care about anything you say. Very rude over the phone I refunded my 50$ and i will never be coming back here again along with i will be telling everyone i know to never and i mean NEVER come to this location. I've never written a bad review in my Entire LIFE. This was my first actual bad experience to the point where i need to write a review. NOONE should use this business.

Negative experience: I had the worst interaction with a driver of the school. I'm a client to one of the business on the same Plaza. After parking, i proceeded to cross the parking lot whilel talking with my paralegal (on speaker). I notice a car coming into the lot and coming towards me so I stopped to give him room. Then I move out to continue to the building, what does he do? He puts the car on reverse while I'm still walking, almost hitting me with the front driver side of the car. I stop and scream becasue he came few feet away from hitting without a care in the world. We exchanged words. My paralegal told me to file a complaint. He didnt even parked in a parking space. So I turn around to go in to Decat driving school and he blocked me from entering saying, "You are going to complaint, you are talking to me, I'm that guy". In my mind, that means he's the owner. I told him again that he almost hit me twice and his response was that I was an ignorant person for using my phone while walking. I'm 5'2" and he came so closed to me as to intimidate me. He was so close that I could see the blue on his eyes and the red of anger in his face. I know there are cameras in the parking lot and I was just walking. This is not the teacher that you want or you'll learn how to injure civilians.

Negative experience: DANGEROUS, AND UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE! THE "OWNER" DOES NOT HAVE A GOOD TEMPER. I was on the phone with my friend while she was arriving to her appt. at Dr. Dassa. My friend almost got hit twice by a guy from Decat. She had me on speaker the whole time not on her ear while she was in the car. When she went to Decat to complaint the guy blocked her way and stated if she was going to complaint to complaint to him since he was the owner. Kept blaming her for being on the phone, again I was on speaker he saw her with her phone when she came out the car. The guy was super rude! I heard him so clear. My friend stated he was yelling in her face. I called to get a supervisors name to file a complaint, but the lady that answered asked for my first and last name. I provided my first name and I asked why is my last name necessary. Per lady that answered my call she stated she will need my first and last name before providing me the Supervisors name. Since I did not provide my last name she did not provide the supervisors name. For his staff to cover for him says a lot! Do not trust this place. If this is how they treat people, please do not give them your service or your money. Do not support business that do know how to treat other.

Fantastic experience: I'll start with the positive: the secretaries were pleasant and easy to talk with, barely any problems with them. I paid 260 for 5 lessons and it wasn't even worth it. Overpriced, and my instructor was terrible. He knew what he was talking about but he was a very rude man, and made me feel discouraged about driving, making me not want to learn. The way he taught me, he expected me to know what I was doing although I clearly stated I was a first time driver. Of course I won't know what I'm doing and will make mistakes- he was very easy to lose patience with me and raised his voice to me. I almost demanded my money back because it was that awful an experience. UPDATE: I am updating my review after six years in passing, and I wanted to say I ended up going back a second time to take my road test. As always, the secretaries were lovely. I didn’t even care about the price. Brian was amazing and if it weren’t for him, I would have never passed my road test. Thank you Brian, and thank you DECAT! As per my last review, I have learned that since the tragedy, that instructor no longer teaches, and good riddance. The price may be a little up there, but with the right instructor and a good experience (along with getting your license!), it’s worth it. Since that instructor no longer teaches, I’ve decided to update from one star to five. My last experience was a 5 star experience, the secretaries that work there even remember my name and know me by face. :)

Fantastic experience: I passed my test today. Thank you Tom you are simply the best instructor. I rate you as a 5 star instructor. You made me feel comfortable, gave me the confidence and you reassured me that I was going to pass. I will definitely let any and everyone that I know use your school and Tom to help them pass the road test. Than you so much!

Negative experience: I definitely would recommend another school! We bought a 10 lesson package (was not cheap) before COVID and had 2 lessons left. We were saving one for the last lesson and one to use for the driving test. We were told they expired. Well the reason why we did NOT use them is bc of the PANDEMIC! We should of been given a just little leniency! If the pandemic NEVER happened we would of made the expiration date and the greedy woman who works there knows this! They are a very money hungry company and l rather give my money to another local driving school!!!!

Negative experience: I do NOT recommend this driving school. I signed my son up for the pre licensing course and it turned out to be a complete waste of time and money. More then 3/4 of the course was taught in Spanish catering to the Hispanic community. Due to the new licensing laws recently passed. However this is America and the native language is English. Decat should offer Spanish only classes to avoid this.

Fantastic experience: I took the 5 hour course there. They were very friendly. The class itself was not what I expected. I expected just to watch videos the whole time but it was actually a class. The class was fun and the instructor was very nice and very fun as well.

Fantastic experience: Best 5 hour class I’ve ever taken I’ve seen instructors bribe with food or sob stories. If any negative reviews you probably didn’t come on time and I don’t blame you, but take it as a life lesson. You have to come come from the struggle to like his way of teaching. I haven’t seen the lady yet but she was very understanding nonetheless. His teaching style will change your life. Only suggestion if it’s winter definitely wear warm clothes but it keeps you awake and focused. P.S. Florida is awesome it’s not the water it’s the heat lol.

Negative experience: Horrible place to receive lessons. Do not go there they will rip you off. My son was waiting for the instructor and he left my son waiting and would not refund my money. They are so bad I am calling the better business bureau.

Positive experience: Car is a piece of garbage and the inside of it is dirty and disgusting, but the instructor was super nice and patient.

Fantastic experience: I would definitely recommend this driving school to ANYONE trying to get their license. They are amazing and so helpful. They have helped me learn everything I needed to know. I got my license thanks to them and their professionalism and teaching. Thank you for everything!

Negative experience: I would give no stars if possible. Pay for 7 lessons for my son. Excellent instructor and always showed up with same car. Day comes for my son to take driving test and instructor shows up with a car with a totally different shifting unit and car that makes noise that you cant hear the person next to you. My son fails because not familiar with shifting. I then call office twice and am told the owner will call back before day end. No call back to following day from a rude man who says not his problem a different car was sent, all that matters is his cars are certified safe. I highly suggest using another school for your beloved teenagers.

Negative experience: Definitely not the best driving school. You will feel ripped off and feel as if you wasted your money. Instructors were not the best, the Secretary was really nice, but overall the experience sucked and felt lacking. One of the instructors was really mean and tough for no reason, while the others acted as if they were there just to get paid rather then teach first time drivers and make them feel comfortable behind the wheel. Only if I could get my money back and invest it in another driving school. If you choose DECAT yen expect a crappy experience.

Fantastic experience: Great school and great experience. Used other driving schools in the area for my son and he's learned the most at Decat. Very organized and better cars than most other schools around here. :)
