MTC Truck Driver Training

Fantastic experience: Chris is an amazing instructor! You can tell he really cares about his students! He makes sure you understand all the knowledge provided and assists you whenever you have struggles with a maneuver or procedure! Instructors like Chris make this program extremely enjoyable and make it seem shorter than what it is! Thank you Chris and MTC!

Fantastic experience: This school was a major step for me since i didn't know anything about trucks , except they were big and huge, and was giving it a second thought, but after my 1st week in class and my teacher and instructor took the time to teach everything you needed to know and the safety of it,... my instructor Austin Littetron made everything so simple and easy to learn he definitely is amazing at his job and the entire MTC team was amazing and showed they actually cared about your success. Yes I thank the MTC team for alot, but the instructor/teacher gets my overall rating...couldn't do it without him....Thanks to my instructor Austin Littleton for everything and the MTC team.

Fantastic experience: I came here knowing that if I applied myself then it would be easy. My top priority was to focus on safety. If you can remember "Safety" first, you will be on track to becoming a great truck driver. This school has had it's ups and downsides no doubt. The best thing to do is to adapt and overcome the adversity. Realize you're in an ever-changing world and what you learn, you may have expand on it. Mr's Ronnie is a fantastic in class teacher and be sure to absorb all she has to give you. You're gonna have a great time in class. Austin is laid back and also very informative with his teaching ways. Listen to him and follow his lead out in the yard. He's the teacher, you're the student. You're here to learn, so listen and learn. Mr's cox at the test site is highly feared and she shouldn't be. If you're doing all that you need to do in the classroom and yard, you will be just fine. Don't get in your head and keep your mind fresh and properly oiled lol. I highly recommend this school to newbies and vets alike. 10/10 for me.

Fantastic experience: My instructors were absolutely amazing both Dusty & Dan were hands on & thorough. They were very patient & worked with every on on a individual basis. In doing so it they were figuring out in what way to teach or coach u through the training. I appreciate the time they put in to give me the knowledge to be a professional truck driver. The formula works if u work it. Thanks guys.

Fantastic experience: Scott City Location was recently moved to Cape Girardeau. Our instructors Dan & Dusty. These gentlemen were everything and more. They truly cared about the success of the class. They had a wonderful balance of “tough love & soft discipline”. Giving the cool uncle vibes. Their methods were night and day from one another which is AMAZING when dealing with such a blended group at once. As a team we conquered any and all obstacles as a UNIT. I now feel fully confident and secure as I take steps to a newer and better future as a Lady Trucker.

Fantastic experience: Instructors are extremely patient and thorough with explaining all aspects of tractor and trailer operation and safety. I'm very pleased with my schooling experience.

Positive experience: Good school, I was able to learn a lot and the instructors were very helpful. The location I was at, the yard was terrible with lots of pot holes and the trucks getting stuck while doing backing maneuvers, besides that the school was great and I recommend to anyone that wants to get their trucking career started.

Negative experience: Great instructors, worn out equipment that needs repairs, did not set up the time for my drive test which was frustrating, the worst I mean the worst is the yard lot pot holes so deep you keep getting stuck trying doin maneuvers, when it rains bring your fishing poles.

Positive experience: Adam and Lou are amazing teachers/instructors, the practice yard needs better maintenance, and the equipment needs proper maintenance and service when needed

Fantastic experience: Every potion of the program was helpful and life changing. The instructors made sure that I knew the material I was learning by heart. The also passed down their years of experience by sharing cituation they faced and how they overcome them. The instructors and the school as a whole equipped with all the tools for success

Fantastic experience: I went from being a hairstylist to driving. In just a few short weeks the training I recieved had me ready to take on anything. Mike and Adam my instructors, really helped me get past my struggles. I learned how to drive the manual which was so much harder than I thought it would be. These guys had so much patience with me. Now I am driving team OTR with my husband and enjoying every second. I 100 percent recommend this school. If I can do it anyone can.

Fantastic experience: I am so thankful for my time and experience at MTC. Getting my Class A CDL in a manual was critical in the success of my business and Mike, Stephen and Mike from Paducah played such a huge part in making that happen. You build a relationship with not only the trainers but the other students and when I struggled they never gave up on me until I aced what I needed to do. They were always willing to break it down for me and give me the honest feedback I needed to ultimately succeed.

Fantastic experience: it’s a small class but a Great school I like mr mike & mr Steve I build a bond with mike the day I walked in the door . . . when times I was giving up on myself scared to do alley docks & offset backing he help me overcome and become the guy I always wanted to be a truck driver !

Fantastic experience: I loved my experience at MTC. The lead trainer Mike Walker is a great trainer. We actually text to this day from time to time. I started off very slow in my training then next thing you knew that light bulb went off in my head. I eventually got in plenty of drive time to get the experience I needed to get trained. I recommend MTC it’s a laid back school and you’ll have to put in the work to get to where you need. I strongly believe that Mike cared that I got a CDL and was there with me every step of the way. Fantastic experience: I was very fortunate to be able to attend MTC with a grant from the state. The staff was absolutely fantastic! Very relaxing atmosphere. The staff were great in assisting with learning everything from pre trip to driving. Big trucks can be very intimidating, but with their hands on approach to it, it takes a lot of that away from it. Highly recommend MTC! Like anything, you get out of it what you put into it...give this 100% and you'll leave there ready to take on the road!!

The instructors complemented each other as they brought different perspectives to our training and learning process. The other students were supportive and patient.
