MTC Truck Driver Training

Fantastic experience: Great group of people and very knowledgeable. I began my journey with MTC by contacting Heather(receptionist/administrative assistant), she was very friendly and helpful. She took the time to answer all my questions and helped me get a better understanding on what the school has to offer and what to expect with their 3 week course. When I began my first week of school it was in the classroom with Liz(manager) and there’s not enough good I can say about her. She has a great personality/sense of humor and has a way of making your first week in class fun, but also very informative. After your first week you’ll move to the yard where you’ll be hands on training with Marvin, Jason, David and John(instructors), if you pay attention and follow their instructions they will help you make quick work out of the maneuverability and driving portion of your training. They are a great group of guys and they’re very patient with their students. Their experience really shows through their teaching techniques. Learning to double clutch(manual transmission) was a breeze with their help. With the collective efforts of everyone at the school I was able to obtain my learners permit in one attempt and also pass my CDL Driving test in one attempt. Overall I had a great experience and would highly recommend this training academy to anyone interested in getting their CDL.

Fantastic experience: Man listen i love the staff they are very down to earth and they care about you getting through and passing they will also make sure you have all the resources you need to pass and get it done.....I highly recommend MTC AKRON!!!.....BIG SHOT OUT TO MARV, LIZ ,JASON AND DAVE couldn't have asked for a better staff

Fantastic experience: I just graduated from MTC and cannot thank the instructors Marv, Liz and David enough for teaching me what I needed to know to obtain my CDL. I want to truly thank Marv and Liz because I doubted myself on driving manual they didn’t let me quit and helped great school and great instructors.

Fantastic experience: I'm so happy I choose this school from all of the others I stopped to check out for my new career. Liz, Marv, David and Anthony are great they will work will you teach you their ways to help you understand and get each move. They don't rush you to make decisions when choosing the school which I liked, they teach manual and auto, and your more relaxed if you don't understand something just ask they will help you totally. One of the best decision thanks for all of your training fyi I passed my test glad Paul is awesome as well

Fantastic experience: I was a student that was not confident. I was coached by Liz, Chad, Marv, and Dave, which gave me the confidence to continue along with the drive I had already. I'm grateful that I had instructors you shared the same passion I did, for me.to obtain my CDL and I did it. If they see you reaching they will match your reach.

Negative experience: Just watched one of their trucks pull right out in front of traffic from the shoulder on I-76. That’s a great way to train new drivers to cause accidents

Fantastic experience: All I can say is, wow. This is truly a family run trucking school and all I can say is you can really feel the support and care from the instructors. Anyone who attends here will be very glad that they did. Passed my cdl class A on the first go and I have all the instructors to thank for that!

Fantastic experience: Can't say enough great things about this school! I came in having minimal experience with big trucks, practically none with semis, and in just under 4 weeks, I passed my final exam on my first try! They give you all the necessary training you will need to feel confident in passing! I can't give enough credit to Marv, Liz, and David!! They are the BEST, plain and simple! Even the Driver Resource Center made me feel better when things got frustrating/overwhelming with the e-nugget learning, and I wanted to quit! Just hang in there is all I can say and talk to Liz if you have ANY questions whatsoever! She is VERY helpful! I'm now a licensed CDL class A driver and couldn't be more excited! Thank you, MTC!

Fantastic experience: I can not say enough good things about the people that teach at this school. I went into school knowing absolutely nothing about trucks or the industry. The instructors truly want to see you graduate and get your cdl. They go out of their way to make sure you are prepared for your final exam and they are there to do nothing but help! Great place, would highly recommend to anyone! Shout out to Liz, Marv, David, Cynthia, and Howard. Couldn’t do it without you guys

Fantastic experience: Great learning environment and the instructors were amazing. It sounds over the top, but I truly believe Liz, Marv, Eric, and others cared about us during training and afterwards. Training during winter was challenging but they went the extra mile every time they could for us. I learned a ton in a short period and made friendships. These people are amazing with a no BS mindset. Eric and Liz made learning manual as easy as boiling water. I recommend everyone in the area attending this school.

Fantastic experience: I genuinely enjoyed my time as a student here. Amazing staff hands down! Eric was my primary instructor and was a blast to work with and is amazing at making sure you are comfortable and goes out of his way to figure out what works best for you. Fantastic experience: MTC driving school and staff was great. The staff at the school is very patient and working with you and very understanding with your work schedule. I would strongly recommend going there. I graduated in 3 1/2 weeks and was feeling very comfortable going on the road.

Positive experience: This is a great place to get CDL if you live around Akron... For me William is the best instructor as friend to me.... All otherstaff are fine ... I had some problem in the beginning to get used to with Tom but later it went just fine.. The lady Teacher is always supportive..... I got my CDL from here on my first Test .. I did Manual.....

Fantastic experience: This was a great place to get trained to drive a 18 Wheeler. The staff are awesome and go out of their way to ensure you can pass that test. Their attention to detail while you're doing your on road training helped save my life out here several times.

Fantastic experience: This training was definitely an experience I can say that I enjoyed. The instructors (James, Russ, Bob, Tom and Tommy) had a lot of knowledge and made learning fun. They take their time and make sure you are prepared. I can say that not only did I gain experience, I also gained friendships.

Fantastic experience: Just recently graduated from MTC. The staff here are very friendly and the instructors are top class. Before I had came here I had never driven a big rig, and 30 days later, I am now a proud CDL holder and a current employee of US Xpress. I would highly highly recommend if you are interested in getting your CDL Class A License to go to MTC here in Richfield!

Fantastic experience: The best school got my cdl in 16 days The instructors were very nice and very helpful and they know what they doing especially the training manager James he’s the man and Especially Russ he’s a good guy i’m recommending everyone I know to go to this school one love MTC!!!
