Fantastic experience: Wife failed the test but it was within reason. The instructor was very professional and she even provided tips for next time. No issues and would definitely go back.

Negative experience: Please do not come to this location for road testing! The worst experience I have ever had. First of all the lady administering the test is very rude and gives an unsettling vibe right away. She did not smile or even greet my daughter when we arrived. She simply said she needed our money and paperwork right way. After failing my daughter within the first 10 minutes of the test, she was very condescending and made her cry. She informed me that my daughter needs a lot of practice and that she could come back in 24 hours to take the test for the same price of $45. I really hope this woman learns some common courtesy and instead of being money hungry and downright rude to people, actually taking time to help them learn. We will not be coming back here and i suggest you think twice before bringing your child here.

Fantastic experience: My 17 yr old failed with her the 1st time (legitamate) and at 18 she passed. Very nice lady and professional!. Very accommodating as well. I would take anyone here.

Positive experience: They did the road test same day I called. We were early she took us right away. I see no problem with them. The only reason I rate them a 4 star and not a 5 star is because the lady had no personality. You couldn't joke or have fun with her before the road test started. I can understand not joking or having fun durning the test but really she needs to lighten up a little. Sure would help the kids before the test!

Negative experience: If I could give this business 0 stars I would. WORST driving experience of my life. All of my drivers training instructors said I was a great driver and I practice a lot, however this lady failed me in 10 minutes. She obviously only wants money, horrible person!

Fantastic experience: All four of my children took thier driver tests with Rubino's Road Testing. Very professional and extremely patient. I would recommend them to all my friends and family members.

Negative experience: The worst place ever to go for a driving test. The lady just cares about the money and fails you so that you come back again

Positive experience: Did not take their road test, but the cones are always setup. I have, however, witnessed others getting their tests done here, and there is often a language barrier. A great place to take your teen to practice. Not visible from the road. For some stupid reason, each of the testing sites do not allow practicing, but isn't it best to practice with cones instead of other people's cars when someone is learning to parallel park?

Negative experience: I wish my son would have looked at these reviews. It would have saved him his 45 hard earned dollars. He's 18 and has been driving with me since his permit 3 years now. I myself am a extremely excellent driver no tickets and have trained him this way. She was rude and badgering him and gave him points for nonsense like not looking both ways at a three way with a field on the one side, also not stopping on the line but just before it at a stop sign. Also not looking both ways while going over a railway while in rush hour. Save your money do not go here judgmental and not very friendly at all. Rip off

Positive experience: Took my road test here today. She was friendly and competent, not intimidating or unprofessional by any notable means. My only complaint was her directions during the parking segment. At the end of the test, she went over with me what I did wrong/what skills I could have performed better. At first I wish she could have told me during the test, but I'm glad she didn't since it probably would have made me more nervous. Not sure why everyone is giving this place so much flak, this place was fine.

Negative experience: She is terrible and mean! Not fit to be an instructor...she failed me for taking to long to look both ways at a stop sign...PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

Negative experience: This lady was very rude and very hard to talk to, borderline mean and judgmental. If you want to waste your money to have the odds stacked against you go ahead and go with her. I implore everyone to don't take the risk and just go somewhere else. I highly doubt some of the reviews that gave her 5 stars are legitimate.

Positive experience: I was nervous the first time so I fail the driving test...but the second test, was less nerve wrecking and I pass. The lady was nice, gave me pointers about what I need to work on.

Negative experience: This place is a money scam. Do not pay the 45 dollars. She will collect the cash and fail your child. She got 1 star for showing up with a bad attitude and snatched the money and rushed our daughter. The star is because she promptly showed up.

Negative experience: !! STAY AWAY !! If you are an experienced driver only then you might have a chance of passing the test. If you just learnt driving and trying to appear for the road test then forget about passing the test at this location. The first hit is when you see the lady. Just by looking at her face you will get scared to death. No smile and no intention of making you comfortable. All the instructions are correct but too much strict. There might be few good reviews but they might be better drivers. Don't get carried away and take the test from this center. As other reviews stated, she will mark you for very very minor issues. If all the driving road test inspectors are like this and there will be very few cars on the road. SAVE MONEY and choose someone else. I got carried away and booked my appointment just because it was close to my home but as I said, don't take a chance.

Fantastic experience: I read the reviews before taking the test and was a bit apprehensive about taking my road test with the company, however, it turns out there was nothing to worry about. The instructor was clear and concise with her directions and was more than willing to clarify if I had any questions. She does come off as very serious, but it's a serious job. She even gives you tips afterwards to help you become a better driver. All in all, great experience. Also, I'd recommend you Google "Michigan road test" and download the pdf because it tells you exactly what to prepare for.

Fantastic experience: I'm guessing the people not ready for the test and failed wrote the bad reviews. I found Mary Lynn (the tester) to be VERY professional and obviously experienced. Her instructions were concise and rehearsed. Yes my daughter failed the first time, but with good reason. Passed the second time and Mary Lynn's evaluation and suggestions afterward were dead-on. This is the type of driver tester I want to keep new drivers off the road if they are not ready. Communication setting up the appointment over the phone was pleasant and helped us be prepared when we showed up for the appointment.

Fantastic experience: I considered other road testing places but Rubinos was the only one that called back, and after reading the reviews I was nervous to go. I talked on the phone with a man and he was very helpful and answered all my questions, then a day before my road test I called and the owner answered and she was also helpful. My road test was simple and she was specific and as long as you know what you're doing, you'll pass. She won't just let anyone on the road of course.

Negative experience: The lady is horrible. She failed me with in not even 10 minutes of the second part. Instructions are VERY unclear expecially when it came to parallel parking. she doesn't go down main roads or expressways. It was side roads and subdivisions that had construction on them and she doesn't let you know that there is any kind of construction Ahead of time. I would not even recommend her as a resort as she was for me.

Negative experience: Horrible, the lady is so rude and mean, don't go there. She failed me for stupid reasons like using my blinkers to early. I have been driving for 20 years in mexico city. Took the text 24 hours later in other company and pass whit no problems. So don't go with her.

Fantastic experience: I don't know what everyone is talk about, I found the lady to be very professional, and helpful. I took my test with her, and yeah she did mark everything I did, but that's her job. If you're not ready for the test, you will fail. But if you are ready, you'll be fine. I was able to pick a date within a week time frame compared to over a month with other companies. She's not going to just give you your licence, you need to be capable of handling it.

Fantastic experience: prior to picking a road test service,I read the reviews for any number of them. I wanted one that was close to me and looked at Rubino's. After reading the reviews,I will be truthful and say I had some reservations about choosing them. I decided to go there anyway. The examiner was pleasant but you could tell she knew her business well . This made for her to be able to tell you specifically what was expected of you to pass a STATE required exam when giving the directions for the test. For the negative reviews that I read,all I can assume is that those individuals were expecting to pass an exam ill-prepared and /or with out a sufficient amount of practice/experience to do well. Possibly like many other things in their life they were anticipating it as an automatic "gimme"------ Edward Szymanski

Fantastic experience: I recently took my road test with this company, and I was really happy I did. Besides a few minor things I could improve on, I passed with flying colors. I really liked the lady that gave the road test as well. She was very professional and thoughtful. She even gave me some advice on things that would make me an even better driver. : )

Negative experience: It just so mean. THE woman want you to start braking your car befor60 feet as there is a traffic lights.i can't image that the main reason i failed.

Negative experience: My experience with at Rubino's Road Testing was the worst you can imagine! She will take your money and fail you no matter what! She failed me for very stupid details and I passed my test after 24 hrs with John's Road Testing on Hoover Rd. She is very intimidating and tries to explain things in the end after you think you did pretty good and you passed she would say " I'm sorry I can not pass you today because you could have gotten a ticket with the mistakes you made, you just need a little more practice" She is a scam! Do not go there. I did the worst mistake after reading the 3 reviews, I still booked an appointment with her. Do not make the same mistake I made. Go to John's Road Testing on Hoover, no intimidation, and no hard time. If you know you are capable of having a license then you will have no problems at all.
