Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Polonia. I already had my international driver's license but needed to sit the New York test. I took one refresher driving lesson with Mirek and then Polonia promptly scheduled my driver's test, which I passed. The staff are efficient and kind. They handle all the logistics so you don't have to go to the DMV. Win.

My driving teacher Marchik (Sorry If I spelled your name wrong) Was very nice and helped me a lot he gave me a lot of tips. I took 4 Lessons, the 5 Hour Class, and the Road Test. I passed the road test on the first try! I recommend them!

Fantastic experience: My license had expired ages ago, forcing me to retake the dreaded drivers test. I avoided it like the plague (an unnaturally easy task in the city), but alas, I finally decided to join the throngs of New Yorkers at the Hertz in Jersey City every Memorial Day weekend for my very own Nissan Rancheros to whisk me away to the Poconos. Granted I had no idea how to make this vision into a reality, I turned to a more competent friend who pointed me to Polonia Driving School. Via email, they explained the process, which turned out to be as simple as ordering a combo meal at a fast-food joint. You pick a package with a certain number of lessons, including the mandatory pre-licensing course, and they handle all the scheduling for your driver's test. I took three refresher lessons with Maciej, who taught me how to parallel park. He was patient and friendly, and had no qualms about infusing the lesson with his Polish humor while recovering from a near-death experience involving a sneaky stop sign. On the big day, Maciej chauffeured me to Ridgewood, where two other students and I took the test in the school's car. Later that night, I checked the DMV's website where it said that I had passed. It took me a decade to gather the courage to start this journey; with Polonia Driving School, I had my license in a mere three weeks from that point on.

Fantastic experience: I am a new driver with zero experience and I am so glad I decided to learn how to drive at Polonia driving school. Magda was extremely helpful with scheduling all the classes and called to remind me about every class that was coming up. My driving instructor Merek was amazing, positive, patient, very good at explaining everything and overall fun to drive with. I later learned he has 20+ years of experience as a driving instructor so it all made sense. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to learn how to drive. Thank you Polonia!

Fantastic experience: They go above an beyond. I was with Polonia Driving School for a few months and had the opportunity to learn from all of their instructors. Krystian is a very relaxed guy. Driving with him will really help instill your confidence and get you to feel comfortable behind the wheel. I recommend that first time drivers or people who don’t feel confident learn with Krystian. Waćław as a very knowledgeable instructor with a critical eye. He will try to take you to places you have never been to and is a very good instructor for a mock road test. He will challenge you as much as he can. If you can do well with Waćław, you can pass any road test. Mirek is a relaxed guy who is also knowledgeable and will prepare you very well. He has over 20 years experience and knows how to help as well as how to approach any situation. It depends on what you are looking for which instructor to learn from. I recommend learning from all three because each has their own style. When I had my road test, the previous 2 students went and a DMV inspector noticed the brake light was out. I was unable to take my test. Rather than to reschedule it, Mirek took us to a mechanic and had the light fixed 10 minutes later just to give me the chance to take my road test. I ended up passing. I cannot recommend this school enough. They will prepare you and they will see to it that you will get the best chance you can to pass your road test.

Fantastic experience: I took one driving lesson here with Mirek before my road test and I learned more about parallel parking than I did throughout a whole course at a different driving school that I went to before. These guys will go above and beyond to help you pass your road test.

Negative experience: Teaching students to honk and be aggressive towards cyclists. This is New York City. You should be teaching new drivers to expect cyclists and follow the 3 foot law for passing. Responding to your response: There is no such thing as a "short honk" to a person that's not driving around in a sealed box. Horns are loud to pedestrians and cyclists. NY law only allows for the use of horns for emergencies. You're teaching new drivers to break the law? Similarly, if the street is too narrow to pass someone safely you should be teaching them to be patient and wait until it is safe to do so.

Negative experience: Doesn't know the law and teaches new drivers to be dangerous because the "streets are narrow" rather than to slow down and be patient.

Fantastic experience: Great Driving School! I first started out taking 5 lessons but then quickly realized it wasn't enough so scheduled 5 more. (10 in total) Took my road test. Didn't pass that one. But then took 10 more classes (20 in total) and passed the next time I scheduled the road test. If you never drove before I HIGHLY recommend taking the 20 class package.

Fantastic experience: I came here and took 30 driving lessons (starting from scratch), the Pre-Licensing Course and the road test. The instructors were very patient, they teach you how to drive well step by step. The schedule was very flexible and I was able to take lessons in the early morning, afternoon, late night and even on Saturdays. After passing the road test I also took a couple of lessons for the highway. The office always calls you 1-2 days before the lesson with a reminder, so that the schedule is easy to keep track of. I would definitely recommend this driving school to anybody learning to drive.

Fantastic experience: Great school and people

Fantastic experience: We were two to come to this school and both of us were very happy and satisfied about it. My friend enrolled for one hour driving + exam and I took 5 hours + exam. First, the prices are really attractive. Then, they scheduled the exams really fast (they were scheduled for after 2 weeks for my friend and three for me). The driving classes start at 7h15AM which was amazing as it allowed me to have them before going to work. It is also possible to have classes on Saturdays. Two days before each class, they call you to remind you. They were really flexible when I needed to reschedule one hour, and even when I needed to postpone the road test as I get injured. The teachers were really nice and giving good advises (special thanks to Merek) and the car was nice to drive. For the road test, we were 4 of us from this school to go together, and we all got back with a passed exam.

Fantastic experience: Took 7 classes and passed on my first go. Instructors are well knowledged and helpful. They show you the maneuvers step by step and keep repeating it so it forms a muscle memory. Theyre also kind and friendly and are open to any questions you have and will answer them in a way you can understand. The environment is also friendly in the office with any office related matters. Would recommend to friends.

Negative experience: Such an irresponsible school, they cause you the problem and let you seek a solution on your own. They called me two days before the road test to let me know that they don’t have a car for the test and I should find a car on my own, and won’t give you your expected refund. As they gave me $25 instead of $135. I believe they had a suspension or something! Overall a disastrous driving school! Don’t choose them unless you’re polish!!!

Fantastic experience: Did my Class D license there, flawless. Instructor was cool, fully prepared me for the road test. Wanted to do Class M license there also, but they don't do it, so they gave me info on where I could get it done.

Negative experience: the customer service here is absolutely terrible. the instructor that gave me lessons was awesome to be honest -- but when it was time to finally do the driving test we discovered, after wasting half a day and $60, that they forgot to put us on the list ! moreover they didn't apologize, refused to refund & accused us (we were 2 people) of having hacked the DMV system (which only them can access). so yeah, terrible and infuriating. in short if i had simply just 1 advice to anyone reading this: do not go there.

Negative experience: Horrible and totally unprofessional place, they have no problem wasting your time, don't go unless you are Polish.
