Instructor #1 CARLOS– From the very beginning, CARLOS made sure I understood the fundamentals. His patience and clarity in teaching complex concepts made everything click. He was always calm, even when I made mistakes, and gave me the confidence to push through challenges. Instructor #2: Rodney– brought a lot of real-world experience to the table. He didn’t just teach me how to drive—he taught me how to think on my feet and handle unexpected situations that you face on the road. His practical advice was invaluable, and he was always there to answer questions, no matter how small. Instructor #3: Marc– What sets Marc apart is his dedication to each student’s success. He paid close attention to my progress and tailored lessons to fit my learning style. His feedback was constructive and encouraging, always pushing me to improve without making me feel overwhelmed. Instructors Rodney and Marc taught me absolutely EVERYTHING I needed to know in order to pass my CDL skills test (passed on my first attempt). They were extremely patient and were able to teach me in a way that I understood. I truly couldn’t have passed without either one of them, good dudes. Director Dustin was very personable and worked with my out of town schedule. Katie, in the office, was very helpful and would return emails and calls within minutes. They made scheduling my drives a breeze. I really enjoyed my time behind the wheel at the SAGE Truck Driving School (Casper WY.)

Fantastic experience: Sage helped prepare me for a very thorough DOT CDL test, I was glad I had a helpful team of instructors in Carlos, Mark, and Rodney. I was fairly green at trucking and those instructors helped me obtain quite a bit of knowledge. Mark constantly helped me with pre trips and took the time to answer my questions to help me gain better perspective and Carlos taught me how to drive a stick shift in a semi which I’ll always be thankful for! The Director, Dustin, always helped me and worked with me when my kid was sick or if I felt I needed more drive time. He ensured I had a positive experience at Sage! Fantastic experience: Caty in the main office is very knowledgeable, kind, and helpful-as is Dustin, the Director of Sage here in Casper. …but the heart of the school is in the instructors! Marc, Carlos, Rodney, and Cody consistently show genuine care and concern for all Sage students. They’re patient and courteous, and continuously provide helpful feedback. It can be unnerving (and is!) when being tested at the DOT after completing school. Carlos and Marc vastly helped me to calm the nerves, and to simply rely on what I have been taught. It worked, and I passed on my first attempt at the DOT. Thank you to all staff at Sage in Casper Wyoming. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: Review of Safe Trucking School Since Dustin took over as the school president, Safe Trucking School has transformed for the better. It’s clear he got everything into gear, creating a seamless schedule that works perfectly for everyone. The school runs like a well-oiled machine, and the positive changes are evident. Mark, Carlos, and Rodney are some of the coolest and most dedicated people I’ve ever met. Mark is hands down one of the best educators I’ve encountered—his teaching style is engaging and effective. Rodney deserves special recognition as well; his hard work and dedication should definitely be rewarded with a raise. Carlos’s deep knowledge and expertise in the field are invaluable, making him an incredible asset to the school. A huge shoutout to Catie, who manages the office and admissions. She handles a tough position with grace and strength, showing impressive leadership skills. Her efforts don’t go unnoticed, and it’s clear she plays a vital role in keeping things running smoothly. Overall, the entire team at Safe Trucking School is incredible. They all deserve raises for the hard work and dedication they bring every day. This school is in a league of its own, and I couldn’t recommend it more highly!

Fantastic experience: Amazing place to learn, great atmosphere and even better instructors! Carlos was absolutely fantastic on the drives- easy going, calm and patient. Rodney kept backing simple and drives fun. Marc is laid back& very thorough with his “roadmap/script” for everything on pre-trip, made it easier to remember. Nicole and Shasta in the office were both encouraging and very supportive. All of them have a special place in my heart and I’m very grateful for them for helping me start this new chapter in my life

I am so blessed to be fortunate enough to go through there program and obtain my Class A CDL. Now that I have completed I will be ready to start work and make a good living for myself. Fantastic experience: So I went to school here back in Casper 2021. The instructors were extremely helpful and I had a great time. The office now manager was and is awesome. Have had a few jobs since graduation it's a great living.

Fantastic experience: These trainers really know their stuff! Rodney, Tomahawk Tom, TJ, and Carlos were instrumental in hammering home the fundamentals of operating a tractor trailer. Nicole, Ashley and the other gals were so nice and sweet in assisting in anything they could. Shasta made sure scheduling was on point. -Tomahawk really expressed the importance of the pretrip inspections and the what-for and why-how on all things entailed. The routine of hammering abrasions, bulges, and cuts for hoses/lines, and cracked, bent, or broken for metal parts was a key factor in passing my pretrip inspections. Knifehand; thank you brother! -Carlos really hammered home watching for things when driving and watching for the “squirters” (haha) that might get out in front of you and minding any signage that alerts you to changing road conditions or other upcoming traffic discrepancies. -TJ really was key in understanding “floating gears” or as I knew it “jockey shifting” and minding your rpm’s for the gear you’re in or moving to. The log book fundamentals, how to manage skids and the different regulations. I could go on and on. It was nice to have a trainer with ties to my hometown and so much knowledge to tap into. A warm and welcoming man that takes care to make sure you understand what he’s trying to convey. -Rodney, what more can I say than backing. He is the master of ram-rodding the finesse of those maneuvers and procedures. You’d have laughed at my 90 during my test, but I somehow saved it (God must have assisted with an extra turn to the right to fix that (haha). But he really got it into my head about making minor moves to the wheel and not chasing the trailer all over the place. The other thing that was so awesome about the experience was having other students further along in their programs present. Dakota and Eric really really helped me with my pretrip. I implore everyone to do what you can or have to do to make the pretrip packet make sense to you. For me it helped to write down the components I was looking for and jotting down what I’m looking for on those. The students that spend serious time there and take it serious, pass the inspections without much if any issue. Thanks to the fellas on the range, I’ll be back with the work rig as soon as I can. I hope I made yahs proud! Rodney; don’t hate me because I’m red and white, green and white, and orange white and black. ;) (only PA folks will understand)

Fantastic experience: Well I graduated sage 02/23/2024 and it was the best experience I've had in a long time Carlos, Rodney, and Tom were awesome super helpful and extremely awesome instructors I only had Tom for one day in the classroom and pretrip labs but he was super friendly and helpful in the time I spent at sage I had Carlos and Rodney for a few of my sessions and they walked me through everything and I ended up passing my CDL test the first time, TJ was an awesome tester and was super nice, I just want to say thank you to all of you guy and to future students you'll never regret going to sage and you will have all the help you need from the instructors and the ladys in the office who are also vary nice and helpful thanks guys never could have done it without you

Fantastic experience: First off, I want to thank all the staff at Sage. Everyone was welcoming and helpful, from the office ladies to the instructors. It was a pleasure getting to know everyone and spend time at the school. A real special thanks to all the help from Tom, Carlos, and Rodney. These instructors were instrumental to my success here. It took me 6 weeks to complete the course, from the first day in class to taking my exam. They all had their own stories and experiences to help teach me what I needed to learn to safely and effectively earn my Class A CDL. The one on one time during the driving labs was instrumental in helping me learn all I needed for the pre trip inspections, the backing manuevers, and the actual drive portion of the test. Tom, Carlos, and Rodney were all very approachable and personable, very easy to get along with and to learn from, offering bits of humor to help all this new knowledge become memorized. Shasta and Nicole in the office were awesome, working with my difficult schedule and needs to help get me through class, and Catie has been incredible in helping me locate employers who are hiring. For the record, I was able to pass my test on the first shot, which I credit entirely to the efforts put forth by the staff at Sage. These people are changing the lives of others for the better! Thank you all so very much. If you attend, see if you can spot the tie fighter rod. It's there, just look for it. Tom, may the force be with you!

Fantastic experience: Carlos Tom and TJ were my driving instructors all very knowledgeable great communication and amazing people skills. Carlos took extra time with me before hours too help me calm my nerves, Tj was great at helping correct my bad habits and Tom was great at evaluating my basics and refining certain skills. The office ladies were very helping and accommodating.

All of the teachers were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Their years of experience came through in the teaching of the course. I have no regrets going to this school. The I only regret I can think of was, "why did I wait so long to go". This has opened all the opportunities of having a CDL to me and I am confident I will now succeed in applying the driving skills I learned to my future career. Negative experience: We’ll I paid 6500.00 I did get my CDL but the staff is rude! After I got my CDL passed my test I went back to the office and just the lady at the front desk was there! Zero follow up from your Trailers, trucks are all in very poor condition I don’t believe would even pass a level inspection. Horns don’t work, they leak, ac does work half of the time, there completely filthy, they pop in and out of gear, trailer brakes lock up on some of there trailer. The trainer will sit around bsing more times then actually training you. This is a place we’re you may get your CDL or may not and they don’t care rather way! There only 1 trainer Jeff that knows his stuff very well and is very helpful if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t have passed! I was on a drive and the trainer was on his phone! Not training me when I asked questions he was like yep yep doing well! So yes not happy and I know I’m not the only one that’s not happy!

Negative experience: Been meaning to do this sooner, hopefully they have better instructors and equipment than when I attended in 2013. Otherwise, I would strongly advise going to Mcmurry Training Center.

Fantastic experience: The sage truck driving school give me the information in the guidance to be able to Complete the program. With that being said these people are quality Educators they have real world experience and not just a little bit all of them are extremely educated in this field if you do what they ask you to do and put in work on your end you will Be on the road before you know it, with all the information you need you'll be secure in a career field that you knew nothing about you will know That you're going to succeed at the end of it, it is hard, it is not given to you, you have got to work for it But the most important thing in my opinion is focus 100% on the things they tell you and show you it is a proven method of success. I have social anxiety pretty bad And the very 1st day You feel 100% welcome and these people are truly there for your success Great company great instructors and Extraordinary experience.
