Cowboy Driving Academy in Poteau

Negative experience: She got to take the class but can't get her drives done. She has one left and they won't send drivers to finish her driving part. Would not recommend.

Negative experience: I showed up for the class session and no one was there. I’ll like a refund of $395 right away. I was looking forward to it and they let everyone down… I thought it was a great academy to go to but I guess not.

Negative experience: My daughter attended class in August and then did all her driving close behind in September. We still don’t have her certificate for her permit which now means she won’t get her license when she turns 16 in February. The certificate should have been handed to her at the end of her last driving course. Apparently a little downtown traffic had the instructor sidetracked. Getting that license around her 16th Birthday is important to my daughter and it won’t happen now. The computer app doesn’t work for either of us so we still don’t have any proof that the course was even completed.

Negative experience: My daughter had her in person class weeks ago and after class we were told we would be able to schedule drives online. However there have been no drives at all available to schedule. I have called multiple times and left messages as well as spoke to someone on the general line who takes my info and says someone will be in contact, yet no one has contacted me to get the drives scheduled. I paid $395 for this because for some reason our school no longer does it but I’m not seeing the benefit when I can’t even get my child’s drives scheduled.

Fantastic experience: Even though we live in Arkansas, we sent our youngest son to learn to drive through Cowboy Driving Academy in Poteau. Simply reading the Arkansas driving manual does NOT teach someone how to drive, plus our school district no longer offers driver's education, AND it isn't required by the state. Dean's classroom teaching accomplished this with our son, along with one-on-one, behind the wheel lessons. After completion, our son recommended his older (licensed) brother take driving lessons with Dean in order to gain confidence in his driving ability. He did--and it is amazing what a difference it has made! 100% recommend this investment in your child. For our sons, the best teachers live OUTSIDE our home!!!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this place! Dean and Beth were very professional and so easy to work with. I have 3 boys and two of them took drivers education at the school and the last one here. Cowboy driving academy may be more expensive but your kid will learn so much more going this route. Dean did a great job with the class and you get one on one driving instruction. It’s well worth it! Thank you Dean and Beth for all your help!
