Fantastic experience: Eagle river driving school really focuses on making your child a safe driver even if that means teaching them longer to make sure they are fully ready to be on the road. Going to Eagle river driving school I have learned many new things that you can be ticketed for while driving that I never knew. The teachers are very patient with you and willing to take more time to work on things that you are struggling with.

Positive experience: I’ve definitely learned a lot from my classes here, and overall the instructors have been very helpful and informative. Although I hate to single out one of the instructors, I have not enjoyed any of my drives with Ms. Shannon, and in my experience, she seems to act in a significantly less calm and kind way than the other instructors. Additionally, I have found some of her directions to be confusing or misleading in some ways. My only other complaint with this driving school is that they don’t seem to communicate super well, and I often received links to the video lectures multiple days after when I expected to receive them. Everything else about this driving school is very good, and I have really enjoyed having Mrs. Ruth and Mr. Caesar as instructors.

Negative experience: I echo other reviewers comments, do not take the road test here if you have not taken their school. As a parent I felt berated by the examiner for not paying for the driving school. The examiner then failed my son on a technicality in an area where road lines were not visible based on snow removal and gravel on the road. We subsequently retested in Anchorage and he got a perfect score. I’ve met two other parents who had the same *exact* experience doing a road test only here.

Fantastic experience: I’d definitely recommend this driving school. I learned a lot about the rules of the road and how to be the safest drive I possibly can. The zooms and driving classes were all very helpful and I learned so much from them! Everyone was so understanding and willing to answer any question you had.

Fantastic experience: The instructors are excellent teachers. They broke down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand terms, which made learning a breeze. They also were always encouraging and gave constructive feedback, helping to improve skills with each lesson. It was top-notch all the way, and highly recommend!

Negative experience: DO NOT take a road test at this driving school unless you've paid the huge fee to do their driving school. They will fail you on technicalities. The drive instructor (Ceasar) talked and talked about himself and gave driving scenarios that were not helpful.

Positive experience: My daughter has been extremely happy with the entire course. We moved down here almost two years ago from North Pole. Looking into other classes offered this one had the highest review I could find within our area that she could walk to due to me working full time and being the only driver in our home. All of the staff has been extremely friendly and informative during the course of her education. She has had nothing but good things to say about this course, so in turn I am very happy. Thank you all for what you do.

Fantastic experience: I had a lot of fun in the driving school. I got to learn a lot of new things over the course of the driving school. Mrs. Shannon, Mrs. Ruth, and Mr. Ceaser (May have spelt his name wrong) they are amazing driving instructors. It's scary at first but you get to feel more comfortable as the course goes on. They always try and have conversations with you while you are waiting to drive. This school was a lot of fun and I highly recommend going to this school.

Positive experience: Learning under this school has brought noticeable improvement to my driving school, and I’ve gone from being anxious over my drivers test to feeling confident of my results. That being said, I found the the instructors would sometimes give conflicting advice, and scheduling concerns were fairly common. That being said, none of them interfered majorly with the instruction.

Fantastic experience: My cousins took this class a few years back and loved it, and Mrs. Ruths Driving School did not disapoint this time either! interwoven with fun and the education every driver needs before getting their license, Mrs Ruth's Driving School was the pefect place for me to learn the basics every driver needs. The driving instructors taught me very important techniques to know while we were on the road. The off the road classes were just as fun and interactive with Kahoot quizzes, driving videos, and personal experiences throughout the years of her driving. Over all, this class is great for anyone with any attention span.

Fantastic experience: Eagle River Driving School is great! The instructors are knowledgeable and friendly. My son enjoyed the interactive classes and learned a lot from his driving classes. We had to reschedule one of his driving classes and Ruth made that quick and easy.

Fantastic experience: I found my time here to be very beneficial. Both the zoom classes and the driving classes taught me details which I hadn’t known before, and helped me improve upon the driving skills I already had. I had Mr. Caesar as my instructor on all but one of my drives. He helped me feel comfortable and patiently pointed out the things I needed to improve. Positive experience: Really awesome instructors! Especially Mr. Caesar. Wish scheduling was communicated a little better. Also, sometimes instructors give conflicting feedback. I really enjoyed learning from Mrs. Ruth, Mr. Caesar, and Ms. Shannon! I would recommend this course to anyone who is struggling with their driving, anyone who wants to pass their road test, or anyone wants to become a better driver! I do not regret the time and money that I spent on this course. Worth every penny!

Fantastic experience: The online class is pretty easy if you follow along and all of my driving classes were fun. All of my driving instructors have been really nice and we always hold good conversations while we drive.

Fantastic experience: This class was very helpful and I learned quite a bit from it. Mrs. Shannon, Mrs. Ruth, and Mr. Ceasar were all great teachers and were very good about offering advice. The only trouble I had with the class is that the Remind app only works on mobile devices and I had to have my parents email everything to me which caused confusion because they would forget. However, that's not really the driving schools fault and overall it was a good experience and I would recommend it to another person needing to learn the basics of driving.

Positive experience: The class was very helpful in getting me a lot better at the fundamentals of driving, and helped especially in knowing how to drive significantly more safely in winter conditions. The instructors were also very helpful when I asked questions and were gracious in helping me reschedule drives when I had conflicts.

Fantastic experience: My son has been improving his driving immensely since his time in driving school. And despite challenges with weather creating great havoc - they have rolled with the punches and do all they can to accommodate schedules and work with us to get all the drives completed in a timely fashion. Negative experience: Went to take my driving test, paid $80 for it, had to pay extra to use my personal vehicle then didn’t get to because they overbooked appointments and wanted to save time, and didn’t get a refund for that. The instructor I had asked me a 16 year old about my dating life, then proceeded to tell me about his. Then failed me for very insignificant reasons. Such as, my hand placement, how I parallel parked, and pulling up to far at the stop signs when there are 4ft piles of snow on the side of the road. And told me all I needed was one more week of driving and I should be good. And had zero privacy when explaining why I didn’t pass, so not only was I devastated because I didn’t feel as though I had done anything terribly wrong but also extremely embarrassed. And the girl who was in there about to take her test got told all the things I did wrong so when she went to take hers she knew what they were expecting. It’s all one big scam for money. Find somewhere else to go. Don’t waste your time or money.

The class had also help me understand traffic laws since I didn't really understand most of them at first the classes were useful and helped me understand them better

Fantastic experience: As a student I really recommend this, I learned a lot through this school, it was a lot of what my parents say, but when you are just driving with your parents you don’t retain much info given to you, so to hear the feed back from qualified teachers helps kids actually retain and listen to what is said
