Training Wheels - Bedford: Reviews
Fantastic experience: I passed the BRC with Training Wheels Bedford last weekend, and I couldn't have had a better experience! We went from feeling the clutch friction zone and rocking back and forth on the motorcycle to making tight u-turns and swerving. We learnt all the essential basics for a solid foundation and now, thanks to this course, I know what to do and what to practice. Our instructors Paul and Hai were amazing, their passion for motorcycling and teaching transpires! I also really appreciated the focus on safety and risk management. The course includes exercises that go beyond the license exam requirements and can save your life. I strongly recommend this course with Training Wheels!
Fantastic experience: I passed the class and am grateful but would definitely encourage folks who don't have much motorcycle experience to either learn on your own or take the introductory course first. The basic riding class moves pretty quickly and with up to 10 people in the class, theres only so much time to practice an exercise you may struggle with. With that being said, I want to thank Colin and Kevin for their knowledge, great energy and fun class. I learned so much and am looking forward to riding!
Negative experience: I have mixed feelings about this course. I reached out to the owner asking to take an Intro course on a Vespa, but was told not to bother with it. At the BRC, I was fine the first day but failed the second day. The instructors on the second day recommended that I should have started with the intro course and seemed baffled when I told them I tried to but was declined. The instructors were excellent and did their best to help me, however, I'm giving the company 3* as the owners should listen more carefully to emails. I could have avoided losing so much money and so much embarrassment if I was just allowed to take the intro course in the first place. I lost money that's not refundable and now I'm pretty disheartened from trying with motorcycles again.
Hi Alex,
Thank you for your feedback — we’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations.
We did try reaching out to you and are sorry we didn’t hear back. As we explained during our call, the Introductory Motorcycle Experience (IME) is designed to help students become comfortable with shifting and operating a motorcycle smoothly in a private, low-pressure setting. Many students find it helps boost their confidence before entering a group class.
Since scooters like Vespas don’t require shifting gears, an IME wouldn’t be the best fit for that type of vehicle, which is why it wouldn’t typically be recommended for scooter riders.
Additionally, being able to balance on a bicycle is a key prerequisite for all of our courses — something we try to make very clear on our website and in our class materials. We understand that balancing can be challenging at first, and we genuinely hope you'll continue to practice. Once you're feeling more confident on a bicycle, we’d be happy to help you move forward in your riding journey.
Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts.
Fantastic experience: I had at the BRC this past weekend in Bedford! The instructors, Kevin and Collin, were friendly, funny, professional, and clearly subject matter experts. They were both great teachers and patient with their students. I was able to learn a lot in a very professional yet inviting setting. I will definitely recommend this course to anyone I hear is looking for their license!
Fantastic experience: I took BRC I course. The course was fantastic. I have never ridden a motorcycle, and while it was fast-paced and challenging, it was a speed I could keep up with, and I felt like it was created to make sure I learned no matter what challenges I encountered. The instructors were completely amazing. They were very supportive and gave me useful and insightful feedback, and I improved immensely.
Fantastic experience: I started off in Plympton for two private lessons at Training Wheels. After my second session I booked my BRC. (If you take the Private they give a discount for the BRC ) The BRC was a hot weekend 9/2-9/3 and this was a way closer location for BRC. I liked the area, the instructions were clear, the instructors were awesome, friendly, good at giving critical information about your form or riding ability. They were also very good at giving presentations for how each practice was done. Demonstration and verbal communication was key and they we’re phenomenal. I made a few new riding friends and will always practice what was taught and the things they advised me on. I passed and am grateful, for this MSF course and the people who run this. If you’re looking at any other course— you aren’t going to be as satisfied as this class makes you. Confident, satisfied and they make sure you have fun, safely. Haha, thanks to Training Wheels, ride safe, hope to cross paths with the instructors one day on the riding day! Couldn’t be more happier with this school.
Fantastic experience: Great day , I learned a lot, the instructors are awesome , full of knowledge and very good at communicating what we are supposed to learn…. Would recommend
Fantastic experience: Perfect team, Kévin and his assistant Muddy, they are really great coaches, patients, professionals and friendly. I really loved how they work. BB
Fantastic experience: Just finished the course. Great class. great instructors I can't believe how much I got out of this course. And i own a Harley no joke worth every dime looking forward to their advance riding course that I thought I would never even consider taking. It was fun and very educational
Fantastic experience: The best teachers I've ever met
Fantastic experience: I recently took the basic riding course with training wheels at the Bedford location and I can not say enough great things about the whole experience. I was lucky enough to have had two amazing instructors for the course (Kevin and Colin), who made everyone feel comfortable and prepared us for the riding on the road. They did a fantastic job teaching us how to ride the motorcycles, the whole experience was enjoyable due to their teaching methods and personalities. I passed the course thanks to them and I’ll be getting my license in the mail shortly! Thank you so much Kevin and Colin!!!
Fantastic experience: The basic rider course was everything I had hoped for. It really does teach you everything you'd need to know. If you're fortunate enough to get Corey as your instructor you will feel extremely confident in your abilities and his coaching style is amazing. He really breaks things downs for you. Kevin is also a great asset for training wheels. He is really good at demonstrating how to perform the trainings. Had an amazing time and feel confident getting on a motorcycle because of this course.
Fantastic experience: This class is really effective, it is really setup like a set of building blocks. They essentially Miyagi you into being able to ride. Huge shout out to Collin and Kevin they were great to work with, willing to explain and answer questions. Always provided feedback mid exercise. Do yourself a favor and get your learner's permit before registering, that way you just get the license in the mail automatically
Fantastic experience: Very professional and well run training program. I benefited tremendously from completing the Introductory Motorcycle Experience (IME) course prior to the Basic Rider Course (BRC). If you are new to the sport, they will definitely get you up and running.
Fantastic experience: I had a great class in Bedford. Gary did a fantastic job helping everyone through the MSF curriculum. The instructors are incredibly passionate about motorcycling and doing everything to improve novice riders. I highly recommend this MSF course and the Training Wheels schools
Negative experience: It's a waste of money if you have zero experience, my coach although very experienced, didn't payed enough attention to me. It was easier for him with the rest of the riders because they had been riding for quite awhile already. The main point of me going there was to actually learn from scratch.
Negative experience: A school that wont teach people if they did something incorrectly, instead just tell them not to go back
