Fantastic experience: Great instructors. I had a fun and educational time made it easy and comfortable to learn. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: My instructor was an awesome lady with real knowledge about motorcycles. She was strict but great as a teacher and she earned my respect very quickly. I usually go to the courses with the mindset that I'm a paying customer (yes, that kind of a-hole :-)) but as a new rider she really caught my attention and taught me a lot. Going there tomorrow to say hi with my wife to show her how msf course is organized and get her into the class so we can ride together.

Fantastic experience: Recently had the pleasure of taking a weekend long course to get my M2 license here. Tom Graves and Jeana Green were both great instructors. Very informative, clear, helpful, friendly, and patient with everyone in the class. It rained heavily one day and was really hot the next, they were both very accommodating to everyone’s needs and always attentive to all the rider’s safety. Really nice experience overall, definitely recommend requesting a class with Tom and Jeana if you’re getting your motorcycle license and you’re located in the greater Richmond area.

Fantastic experience: I loved it! Very informative and very helpful for myself. The coaches were super supportive and helpful to insure you had all you needed to pass the course. I'd recommend this facility to anyone who has a desire to obtain a M2 license.

Fantastic experience: I completed my 2 day course yesterday. To go from not even being able to turn a motorcycle on, to swerving, cornering curves etc...on motorcycles I learned a lot. Thank you to The awesome instructors who didn’t sugarcoat anything and gave the support when needed.

Fantastic experience: Great experience. The instructors are very passionate about what they teach and show they care about student comprehension. I learned so much.

Negative experience: The class was effective, but the instructors seemed determined to choke any fun from what should be at least a pleasant experience. They gave sloppy instructions and then yelled angrily when a student, out of shear confusion, could not comply.

Fantastic experience: This course is great! Mark and Armistead are great instructors. Armistead is a little rough around the edges with a dry sense of humor, but is a great guy and instructor. I highly recommend this class for either a beginner or a seasoned rider that wants to learn the right way to ride. Be on time and operate your motorcycle safely and you’ll have zero problems.

Positive experience: I would give 5 stars to some aspects and 2 stars to some aspects. I think that this is the cheapest training class in Virginia - 5 stars. New building. Comfortable class. It stinks that they won't let you bring coffee inside. Tom is very dedicated - 5 stars. Training book is great - 5 stars. Armistead is like a drill sergeant - no comment - he also seems dedicated but it seems that he offended, insulted, scared/made nervous at least four students at one point or another which made for unpleasant times - but in Armistead's defense, he seemed mostly concerned about "liability" and yelled at least three times about "liability". Students sign a liability waiver though. So maybe Armistead just doesn't want to see anyone getting hurt?Class started with 9 students. One quit because she was too cold trying to ride in the rain. One failed written test. All remaing riders passed. Very few could have qualified for a perfect riding score - but still passed. Here are some negatives. 1) they tell you to park next to "the cone" or to ride through the center of the cones -- but what cone?? Oh, you mean that 2-inch disc on the ground that I can't see without a magnifying glass??! 2) the paint on the riding range is faded and hard to see. 3) it is hard to understand instructions when you can't hear because your ears are covered by a helmet. But also I think that Armistead speaks with an accent that some could not understand -- but also, it was hard to understand the riding lesson because the instructions were long. Maybe they could have index cards to give out so that we can visually see what the exercise is. Or have a dry erase board on the side of the range to give a visual aid of the lesson. Maybe they could use bigger cones so that we can see the riding course. They tell you the instructions on the side of the range -- "ride through cones" and they point to them from the side of the range and you can't see them until you get close but then they tell you not to look down...how can you ride through cones you can't see until you get close and then you can't look down to locate them? Nearly every student said they had no idea what he was supposed to do on the range because he was confused because he could not hear or understand through his helmet, because of the long instructions, faded paint, tiny "cones".... Conclusion: radio equipped helmets could be a huge help. They give frequent breaks so it is easier to get through the long day. But there is a lot of learning. So you must get plenty of rest. Bring lots of water, snacks, sunscreen, and appropriate gear.

Positive experience: Great teachers that go in to detail on the science of how it works. Only give it three stars because the silly fact that everyone passes. One guy slide out and bent they’re shifter and he still passed. Also one lady couldn’t do a tight circle took turns wide as a tractor trailer. It is good for first timers that just need the basics.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience with MSCV. The course was in good shape and so were the bikes. We got a little rain during the outdoor portion but it never slowed us down. The instructors were very professional and knowledgeable. They gave ample breaks which is ideal for smokers like me. The class was easy and everyone in my class passed the final assessment. I would highly recommend this class to anyone looking to get a motorcycle license.

Fantastic experience: Mark and Armistead were very knowledgable and took their jobs seriously while providing a bit of humor. This class is definitely worth the money so if you are on the fence, just do it! I had some riding experience but still learned a ton on the range and in the classroom, and the best part was coming home after and legally riding my own bike with the provisional license they issue at the end of the course.

Negative experience: Management should discuss the importance of instructor Mo*** remaining professional with her students. I blanked out her whole name for privacy, but she’s African American with dreads. Some male students do not appreciate being touched every time she laughs. This can feel and look like unwanted sexual advances. My husband did not want to be touched just because she found something funny, but didn’t want to offend her in front of the other classmates. Don’t put your students in that predicament by keeping your hands to yourself. Unless of course it falls in line with the daily course of business. In our case it wasn’t.

Fantastic experience: This is a great place to come if your want to learn how to ride any kind of motorcycle. They train you to ride 2 wheel motorcycles three-wheel motorcycles and motorcycles with sidecars. The training is very good and very thorough. They teach a lot of safety and when you're done with the two-day course you're ready to hit the open road.

Fantastic experience: This needs to be said because of a recent posting. It was made very clear that not showing up on time would mean I forfeit my money and class. This is because time is limited for all the necessary information to be relayed and skills to be taught. It is your responsibility to plan ahead. If you buy a ticket for a flight, do you complain to the airline about when the flight left without you and on time? Be there on time. I managed to lock my keys and all my gear and overnight supplies in my car the morning of and still made it on time. I called Fred as I was driving a completely different car detailing what had happened and that I might be there a little late. he was very kind and said he'd let the instructor know but he couldn't make any promises (which I understood because it was made very clear). I made it in the door at 8am and took the class. And the class was great! Highly recommended. Just show up early. It's that simple. Oh and I loved riding the new Enfields. Really cool, fun bikes. And being a bigger dude, I was glad I didn't have to learn on a bike that was by all accounts too small. Thanks for everything!

Fantastic experience: The instructors we had this weekend, Chuck and John, were fantastic! They were very helpful and so encouraging!! I would recommend this course to anyone who is looking to get their motorcycle license.

Fantastic experience: Very good class! I recommend this to everyone looking to get your m2 and m3 license. I started out not even able to shift properly to being able to ride a bike without mistakes. Chuck and John were very helpful and informative. They helped everyone and instructed us on how to fix our mistakes. They are thorough on every lesson in the class and at the range. For a very reasonable price its a good way to see if it is for you without making a larger commitment.

Fantastic experience: I just finished the class Yesterday. Had Jeana and TM as instructors. Was a great time, and learned a lot. They really increased my knowledge and ability when it comes to riding. I recommend anyone thinking about buying a bike to take this course.

Fantastic experience: I took my BRC in 2011 and had a great time, even though i was an experienced rider i learned many helpful tips, another plus was that i got a great discount with my motorcycle insurance for having taken this course. I recommend this facility to everyone who rides or intends to ride!
