Cascade Motorcycle Safety is a highly recommended motorcycle training facility known for its friendly and supportive staff. Many users have praised the instructors for their neat courses that emphasize safety while also making learning enjoyable. Here are some key highlights:
- Friendly and accommodating instructors who ensure a positive learning experience.
- Efficient handling of classes and tests, helping many students pass their endorsement and permit tests successfully.
- Variety of motorcycles available for training, making it accessible for all types of riders.
- A supportive environment that empowers new riders to gain confidence on the road.

Overall, Cascade Motorcycle Safety offers a great learning experience for both novice and experienced riders, though enhancements in customer service and clear communications would further elevate their service. Cascade Motorcycle Safety: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Super nice fellers and lady. Highly recommend. They're there to help you succeed at getting your license. It's up to you to fail.
Fantastic experience: Great Instructors & lots of riding practice! We were a group of 5 new riders & they really helped us learn the basics!!! I would recommend them to any new riders looking to get their permit or endorsement!!
Positive experience: Like what they do, though this location has pros and cons vs. the former Bellingham location.
Negative experience: An interesting experience indeed. I recently went here to take my permit tests. When I finished the written exam the lady convinced me to just sign up for the endorsement tests too. When it came time for the riding skills tests, I joined the group of other riders and was practicing when the lady running the test called me over and told me I wasn’t wearing proper footwear and that I couldn’t take the test unless I swapped shoes. I guess this is a pretty common occurrence here, another rider in the same testing group was also wearing improper footwear but nothing was said about them and I didn’t want to point them out and ruin their day too. It just baffles me that they don’t have any rental boots or any gear you can borrow or buy. What really threw me off here was the attitude of the employees, I had a few questions about proper gear (I’m very new to motorcycles). The sign on the building said “open” but the door was locked and I had to knock and wait to get any response. When someone did answer, the guy seemed really annoyed with my questions like I was wasting his time. He barely cracked the door and wedged himself in the opening like a scared grandma instead of just talking to me face to face like an adult. Really unprofessional in this regard. When I came back to take the skills tests the next week the proctor for the test didn’t even glance at anyone’s gear to make sure everyone had the right equipment yet the week before the lady was absolutely adamant we all had to have it. Anyways, we took the tests and we all passed, they even gave one guy an endorsement after he DROPPED HIS BIKE during the figure 8 test. My buddy who took the tests just a couple months before said someone in his group also received their endorsement after dropping the bike during their test. So I can’t even take the test if my shoes aren’t the right shoes but someone can do the absolute worst thing you could do on the skills tests and still pass? The registration/rescheduling process is also just ridiculous. They do not offer any refunds, the only thing you can do is reschedule tests and everything has to be done yourself on your own device. The employees refuse to help or clarify any questions and get irritated when you ask about the process. Overall I would’ve given a 1 star but I did pass all of my tests so I don’t want to be too harsh (did I really pass it though? They passed a guy who dropped his bike so who knows if they actually paid attention to whether or not I completed each test properly). Way better employee attitudes, clearer test taking requirements, rental equipment, and a refund option would have made this a great experience.
Fantastic experience: I recently took my permit and endorsement tests with them. They were very accommodating as I did all 4 tests in two days and they helped me make sure everything worked out; they also made the tests very fun, efficient, and informative. Their course is pretty neat as well. I really couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Fantastic experience: This place is awesome. I thought my permit was expiring in 2 days. talked to a company in everett that told me I to pay and take everything over again. Luckily I reached out to cascade they expired how to call Olympia and find out accurate days I had left. It was almost another 22 days. . I booked private lesson and took test with Daniel and passed. The world needs more business like cascade that care and help customers not just try to make a buck. Thank you guys
Negative experience: Big nope. I signed up for a class and wasn't sure if my permit exam was valid. I wasn't able to get ahold of anybody from the time I signed up a week before until I showed up and was told to email them to try and reschedule. I have yet to receive a response and it's been 4 days.
Fantastic experience: Great instructor, very very professional awsome teacher also took the time to listen to any questions. I can say 5 stars not enough to rate would give 10 If I could. Great business.
Fantastic experience: Rob Garrison is a very friendly person, it makes the class fun and helps you with any kind of question during the course. I had a great experience
Negative experience: What a joke from first call the lady always seemed short and to busy for your questions but hey we all have bad days now testing day and the attitude I'm person was 100 times worse. Then ok I failed the final test there's 30 minutes left I ask can I pay for a retest right now and retry? Nope there's not enough time what 30 min and we don't have the 3 minutes to have 1 guy retest? Worst testing experience in my life and I hold automotive, cdl with multiple endorsements and now a motorcycle permit cause their to busy to retest I'll be going else where to retest
Fantastic experience: Mikki was awesome!! She help me deal with my nerves. She's a great listener and is funny as heck! If you can get a private lesson choose Mikki.
Fantastic experience: Knowledgeable, friendly, caring, and funny instructors who really help you learn how to ride. Whether it is your first time, or whether you are experienced at riding, they have courses and differentiate their instruction well for you. Tests will always be tests that depend on your final performance, but they will do all they can to build you up for it. Decent bikes available from cruisers to dual sports to some sport bikes. I forget her name, but Nikki? Mikki? Definitely a favorite instructor here by many students. Definitely recommend Cascade for your motorcycle licensure and training.
Negative experience: I found it extremely suspicious that everyone in my testing sessions was there for there second time. I was the only person that did the test course in 2nd gear and she said I was too slow. Even though I crossed the line then looked over and saw her hit the stopwatch late. Then tells me I was .5 seconds too slow. So now I have to take another day off of work. The other students felt the same way as I did. Seems like a pretty easy way for them to get more students making them test twice. Just charge more money instead of failing me and making me take work off for 2 days now.
Fantastic experience: Great place to get ur permit or endorsement! Friendly people, could crack jokes and have a smile on ur face. They offer a wide variety of bikes to take ur test on. Reasonable prices. Good place to go!
Fantastic experience: Loved taking a class with these guys! Never rode a motorcycle in my life and now I feel empowered to take to the road. I highly recommend these folks, I learned alot!!
Fantastic experience: The coaches (Rick, Micky…) here are really nice, humorous and courteous. The classroom sessions are resonable, and they try to make it easy and witty. To be honest, the range sessions could be a little stressful for those who have zero experience on any 2-wheel thing, but you can always get help from the coach. They did a great job. Besides, I got to America last year, and English is not my first language, so I was a little worried in the beginning, it turned out my worry is not necessary. they were always happy to explain things that I didn’t totally understand. I appreciate it.
Fantastic experience: They were very helpful and I learned a lot about riding 3 wheelers.
Fantastic experience: Great instructors, fun environment, and endless knowledge of 2 and 3 wheels.
Fantastic experience: Ok, ...went to observe and was given advice that was superb.... don't necessarily have to take class if you know enough to just take a quick private lesson and get a permit and then an motorcycle endorsement. (Especially if the motorbike is small and/or automatic) Thanks !!
Fantastic experience: Good and quick service. Nice experience.
Fantastic experience: The motorcycle chores and the instructors are great, and you can go back for 1 on 1 training if you think you need it. I'm very pleased with the training.
Fantastic experience: Great people friendly service with an assortment of rentals.
Fantastic experience: Not MY experience, but my husband, in one day of class, learned more and gained more confidence than even he expected. He appreciates that the class focuses on safety and maneuvers instead of novice details.
Positive experience: Great place to get your endorsement training
Fantastic experience: The best
Negative experience: I passed my written and skills test for my endorsement class and was told I was able to go get my new endorsement license. The DOL turned me away because this school forgot to inform me that I would have to take all 4 classes in ordered to get my endorsement. I called them explaining my frustration and the women on the phone (Brandie) said I should have seen it somewhere and was not helpful along with getting an attitude. I’m now going somewhere else to receive my permit test because these people suck.
Fantastic experience: Your more than welcome. I am having a fun out here all legalized.
Thanks Kelly. Hope you are having fun out there.
Fantastic experience: Outstanding people to work with. Really appreciate them for their help in me getting my trike endorsement.
Thanks George! Great riding with you today. Have fun out there on that beautiful trike.
Fantastic experience: I took the Basic Rider Course and had a great experience overall. The team was fun, knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend Cascade Motorcycle Safety to anyone looking to learn more about motorcycles and I look forward to taking more classes.
Thanks for the review Tom. We look forward to riding with you again. Have fun riding!
Fantastic experience: Good people and training
Thanks Caleb! Hope you are having fun putting some miles on your bike.
Fantastic experience: Great group of people and knowledgeable to boot ️
Thanks Chris! Looking forward to riding with you again!
Fantastic experience: Great place for learning to ride bikes!
Fantastic experience: I had an opportunity to ride with Jesse and crew at Pacific raceways in Kent at their street strategies course. It was an eye opening experience. Highly recommended. If you get a chance in 2020, go do it. After the BRC it’s a perfect progression path. Had a chance to ride with Jesse to Winthrop as well. He showed me the perfect lines through the curves. Overall a great experience.
Fantastic experience: This team is amazing in their method of teaching how to ride a motorcycle everything is taught very controlled and they make it alot of fun. Thank you Jesse main instructor and his wife, for all your knowledge and Hannah for being patient and also demonstrating everything and teaching on Sunday. Thank you so much.
Thank you for your feedback Erica! We look forward to riding motorcycles with you again sometime! Have fun out there!
Fantastic experience: Very good information and Jessie makes it fun.
Thanks Jim, great riding with you! Have fun out there
Fantastic experience: I took the basic ridercourse. Bri was fantastic and taught me a lot. Her coaching helped keep me going even when I was struggling. I would recommend this to any new rider, or someone looking to get back in the saddle after a while.
Fantastic experience: Great instruction, entertaining even with typical dry rules and such. Great equipment to ride. I recommend this experience!
Thanks for your review Joseph. Have out there riding! We hope to ride with you again sometime!
Fantastic experience: They rock
Fantastic experience: I'd definitely recommend this place for basic training and getting your endorsement. The coaches were all very friendly, helpful, and patient (and funny). For people who have never sat at the controls of a motorcycle, or if you're very nervous about it, I'd recommend doing the introductory class (Jumpstart). There were people in my class who didn't pass the range test, but I think they just needed more confidence and more basic coordination with the clutch/throttle.
Fantastic experience: Attended a seminar, really cool place ran by great people. I look forward to talking a class there.
Fantastic experience: Very detailed and hands on lessons...you get your monies worth~
Fantastic experience: Great class... I learned alot about motocycle safety and also confidence in my riding ability. Coaches were great I'm definitely going back for more training. I passed my BRC today so I got my endorsement, I highly recommend new riders take this class well worth it. Can't put a pricetag on your life so be safe and take the course and hopefully see you guys on the road.
Positive experience: Signed up for the intermediate class this Saturday and only have one question, do I need to bring my own bike? Or just my gear?
Hello Mike, We supply a training bike for you to ride. Just bring your riding gear. Regards, Jesse
Fantastic experience: I had an absolute blast leaking to ride motorcycles here. The instructors took me from zero experience to perfect practical exam scores in 3 days, which I was very happy about.
Thanks for the review Kuni! Good job on your skills test. Have fun out there, hope to see you on the road.
Fantastic experience: I intended to take the IRT class with a friend of mine who had experience but wanted some formal training before receiving his endorsement but low and behold he bailed on me. I've been riding motorcycles for the better part of 20 years and honestly was a little skeptical of weather or not the class was worth it. And I'll be the first to say you never stop learning in life and learn I did! These guys are all passionate and informative while keeping the class directed and on schedule. After 8 hrs. Of class work and hands on training I felt like I have a whole new perspective on how I ride. I was tired of being pulled over and not having a license so I took the class just to get said license, and at the end of the day I don't feel like there was a better way to really learn how to keep YOURSELF safe on a roadway where drivers are NOT looking for a bike in their mirrors. Take the class! You shouldn't put a price on your safety. Im a very experienced rider and would do it all over again.
Thanks for the review Mason! Glad to help you improve your ride. Have fun out there this summer!
Positive experience: Went for a free seminar... I was on time but they started early so I missed part of it.
Fantastic experience: Great Place to get your 3 Wheeled License or Motorcycle License Training, if you already took your written test and need to take your riding test, this is the place !
Fantastic experience: The instructors are knowledgeable, passionate, and experienced. I barely passed the intermediate class, though, the techniques I learned, as well as correcting bad habits - such as keeping my toe down after shifting, as well as my head etc. If you want to take the test, take the intermediate class. You will be glad you did. Safety is a serious situation, and they made it palatable.
Negative experience: took my credit card then send out the details .didn't have time to get the right boots.oops no refund. not happy
Hello Greg, sorry to hear you are unhappy. We were not aware that you were not able to get riding gear before the class you signed up for as we did not get a communication from you. Please contact us if you would like to pursue a resolution. Since you have not made any effort to contact us you have not been told by any one with authority that there are not any options for you. We would still be happy to help you if you choose to contact us. Regards, Jesse
Fantastic experience: Amazing group of guys doing a wonderful job out here. Patient, knowledgable and caring in all aspects of rider education. As someone who's spent 20 years on 4 different bikes accumulating near 15k miles... all without taking a safety class. I'll tell you, there's always new things to learn. Don't do what I did. Make this class a priority and be safe out there!
Fantastic experience: my instructor was great.
Fantastic experience: Great instructors (Jesse and Rocky!), great class (interactive, interesting, and real world situations and discussions). Polite, professional, friendly, and encouraging! And very respectful, the instructors DO ASK if anyone would like to know their scores PRIVATELY or talk about their scores privately. You guys are the best and I highly recommend them and their Basic Rider Course.
Fantastic experience: Thanks Jesse for the awesome tips and positive experience. Very easy to deal with and one heck of a riding coach!
Fantastic experience: Great instructors and classes! Highly recommend taking this class. Yes, the instructors will point out what you're doing wrong to save your life. I'm definitely going back for more advanced classes
Negative experience: Same experience for my wife. Instructor was verbally abusive and embarrasses you in front of the class.
Fantastic experience: Great instructors, patient and thorough. Very informative class .
Positive experience: The class and practice course was good, but the professionalism was lacking. I had a intermediate class with students who has rode off-road dirt bikes professionally, and others much more capable than myself. At the end they called out everyone who missed any points on the skills test in front of a crowd; it was like a reverse award ceremony, shaming anyone who messed up on the skills test. I never signed up to get ridiculed in front of a crowd for not being a seasoned rider. Okay class, but go in prepared to feel bad about yourself after the trainers humiliate you for your errors.
