Fantastic experience: I can tell you this class is worth every penny you spend! Jerry & Raymond are amazing instructors! Take the class, whether you are a beginner or think you know how to ride. I garuantee you will walk away with knowledge you didn't know you had! Thank yall so much! It was a great time.

Fantastic experience: Took the course this weekend as a stand by. JD and Landon were phenomenal with every student experience and new. I was able to freshen up my skills and learn a lot more!

Negative experience: I didn’t get to finish my beginners motorcycle rider course that I was so excited to take. I don’t feel I was given a fair chance to finish the class. I was on the bike not even an hour and Jerry told me to go home and that I wasn’t ready. I never dropped the bike or did anything unsafe. He just simply didn’t want to take the time to teach me. Which was what I was there for. I don’t feel like you can call yourself an instructor if you don’t have the patience to teach someone. All the other students were male and they already had been riding and even rode their bike to the class. He was more focused on talking with them and I felt like I was just in his way and an annoyance to him. He said I wasn’t ready cause I didn’t make a turn sharp enough but he only gave me two chances to do it and then told me to leave. I cried the whole way home.. it’s okay, just another hurdle I will get over. I WILL learn to ride it’s something I’ve always wanted to do. Will just have to find someone who actually wants to teach me.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience learning to ride the Basic Rider Course at The Safety Center. As a mid 40s guy who has never rode before, I was a little apprehensive about taking a motorcycle class. But Jerry and Ray were amazing instructors. They would take the time to explain the exercise and offer constructive feedback. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a "diploma mill". They will teach you the skills but you have to put in the work if you want to walk away with a motorcycle license. I highly recommend taking a class even if you have ridden for a while. The emphasis is on safety, correct operation, and good judgement. It is well worth a couple days of your time.

Fantastic experience: Great place to go if you are new to riding or experienced and looking to give your riding a solid foundation. I've been riding for 12 years and wanted to finally get my license in a fun and easy way. Jerry and Terry were amazing and didn't disappoint. Keep it rubber down fellas.

Positive experience: Jerry and Woody are great instructors. They will pull you aside and tell you what you need to improve on and what your doing that is dangerous but only because they genuinely care about you forming good riding habits. Highly recommend taking the course even if you think your experienced you'd be surprised what you may be doing outta habit that can be potentially dangerous. They where able to teach me how to ride ( never rode before) and do so well.

Fantastic experience: 100% worth it. All the skills they teach will transfer over and you daily riding. I will be back in a year or so to take the advance course to keep building my skills!

Fantastic experience: Top notch motorcycle safety course, instructors, and facility. Jerry was a fantastic instructor and you can tell he genuinely cares about what he is teaching. He doesn’t just break each lesson down to what’s required but to what each individual needs to understand the overall objective. I was a little hesitant when I first signed up due to having prior motorcycle experience, but I will say this course highlighted areas that I would have never known needing improvement. Fantastic experience: Riding SAFELY is the number one focus here, and I was very impressed with how Jerry and Raymond led my BRC course. No machismo and no nonsense (aside from plenty of humor), and I found it to be a very supportive environment where questions were encouraged and new riders who didn’t fit the stereotypical “biker” archetype (like this dork) were welcomed and taught with patience. Prepare to leave your ego at the door and come with a learning mindset as you pick up good riding habits. This school seems to be a passion project for the instructors, and you are 100% guaranteed to learn something from them no matter your skill level. Plus, you’ll have a lot of fun in the process!

Negative experience: I would not recommend this safety center for individuals brand new to motorcycling. The instructors are good motorcyclists, but they are not good communicators making them less than ideal teachers to walk through all the challenges a new rider may face. Additionally, as a new rider during the course I felt like asking questions was more of a nuissance vs the reason we all were there: to learn. During the two day course the instructors gave feedback such as "That wasn't absolutely horrible, do it again", screaming for taking a wrong turn, and talking down to students. At times I felt like the instructors forgot who was paying who, with how they spoke to students. The instructors were knowledgeable but this was not a positive learning environment, or experience, and although I passed all aspects of the class, I would not do it again through this center or recommend it.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend The Safety Center highly enough. I worked with Jerry as a 1:1 student for the MSF Basic Safety Course. From beginning to end, the entire experience was profession and efficient. From the time I reached out via the website to the time I completed the class, I very much felt like a valued customer and student. Jerry does and excellent job of identifying your learning style and how to coach you to be successful both on the written and riding portion. Especially for someone like me who can "get in their head" too much, he was a very calming presence and I was able to pass the riding exam no issue. He was also very willing to answer other questions relevant to a newbie such as good size of bike, good dealers, other resources, gear, etc. I definitely plan to take and advanced class now that I went and got my license and bike!

Fantastic experience: Jerry is a great coach. Instead of just trying to pass you, he's very good at making sure you leave a better, safer rider regardless of your experience level. Nothing but positive things to say about the experience.

Fantastic experience: Signing up for the Motorcycle Safety Foundation eCourse and the Basic Rider Course at The Safety Center was definitely the way to go to give me the confidence to ride on the streets. The eCourse has several helpful acronyms to remember safety checks for your bike and mind set, to how you wish to approach a curve. Jerry was the riding instructor whose sole purpose is the safety of each student in the class and beyond. Examples of riding techniques for the course were given by another instructor named Guy. He was absolutely flawless and seeing things done the correct way before students were expected to try the maneuvers was very beneficial.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend the BRC. Woody and guy did an amazing job at teaching the class the basics and I can now say I'm a new rider because of them. Best decision I made. Will be back for the advanced class.

Fantastic experience: Great place to learn how to ride! Terry and Woody were great coaches and very knowledgeable. They made it easy to learn and explained things to make them easy to understand. I am very happy I decided to come here instead of another driving school. I definitely want to come back for more advanced classes or maybe even a a one on one class.

Fantastic experience: Woody, Terry and Guy are fantastic staff that work hard and have fun to ensure that you learn how to safely handle a motorcycle and learn tips to keep you safe on the road. The Whites are amazing people who are kind, knowledgeable and provide a great service to the Kansas City Area. I highly, highly recommend this class to anyone wanting to learn how to ride or even just get more training.

Fantastic experience: Took the weekday class with Jerry and it was a great experience. My only two wheel experience prior was riding a scooter and the exercises are fantastic at preparing you for the final riding test. There is an online portion now that isn't the most fun to sit through, but being able to do it on your own time reduces the amount of time you need to take off if you're working during the day. If you're nervous about taking this course then just sign up and trust the coaches.

I learned a ton here and no matter your skill level if you've never taken a Basic Riders Course then there is nothing but benefits for you here. Fantastic instructors. I learned about things I didn't even consider a possibility and got to get some hands on training on how to operate a bike effectively and safely. I cannot recommend the BRC course enough for those who want to learn how to ride a motorcycle. From the very first day, I felt at ease maneuvering my bike around my neighborhood, and now that I have completed the course, I confidently ride on the streets and genuinely enjoy every moment of it!

Fantastic experience: I took the basic rider course and it was great! The instructors are very experienced and knowledgable and provided lots of individualized feedback. And they have a scooter available if that's what you want to learn. I went from having zero riding experience to acing my skills test, all thanks to their class!

Very kind professionals that can teach almost anyone how to ride proficiently and safely. If you have no riding experience whatsoever I highly recommend their basic rider course.

Fantastic experience: Great instructors that give great info. Class is small (about a dozen folks) so lots of interaction between students and coaches. Lots of bike practice time.

Negative experience: Absolutely unforgiving and unrealistic with their refund policy and for helping you out with unforseen problems. Attended the first day and altho the teachers complained about the class being behind was hopeful for the 2nd day and to get my license. Then got a flat on the wayto the class the next day, i asked if I got a flat patched What time I needed to be there and they said if it's not 7 would have to constantly come in every week waiting to see if someone didn't show and fully repeat the class and had 0 interest in a refund of any type. Find somewhere eelse that will actually care about the individual and not just the money

Fantastic experience: I loved this course! I had THE BEST instructors ever (Woody S. Ray N.), along with THE best group to learn with! I learned so much in just two days than I could of ever imagined learning on my own. They make it fun and knowledgable at the same time which is my favorite way to learn. I definitely recommend anyone especially female riders to take this course and get their M endorsement. Thank you instructors for all you do and your guidance in helping us pass!

Fantastic experience: If you are new to riding... (even if you're not)... you should take this BRC course from The Safety Center. I rode dirt bikes, scooters, and motorcycles as a kid, but it had been 20 years since I've been on a bike. I bought my Harley and signed up. I wanted to get my license and fine tune skills... but what happened was I learned so much more! Shane and Raymond were my instructors and took so much care and effort to make sure we were safe and learned so many new skills from these guys. They were incredible! Spend the money and gain the skills. It could def save your life one day. I'll be back in a year to do their advanced courses for sure.

Fantastic experience: Great Instructors. Scott and J.D. A lot of fun learning to ride a motorcycle for the first time. Instructors are very knowledgeable and have good advice during class and riding exercises. Will be back to take another course once I get my bike. Also I took the basic rider course. It was well worth the 275.00.

Fantastic experience: Loved taking a class through here. Jerry, Ray and Guy were great. They were great about giving positive and constructive criticism. I feel like I got the best information and experience I could through this class. I learned to trust myself through the exercises and got out of my head when riding. I took my bike out shortly after passing this class and was able to ride with confidence!!! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I took the beginners riding course with ZERO experience on a motorcycle. Instructors Jerry and Raymond made the class fun and enjoyable with their great personalities, extensive riding experience, and priorities on safety. At no time was I afraid to ride the bike because they talked through each step and showed demonstrations. I highly recommend this class to anyone interested in riding a motorcycle! You spend more time on the bike learning, but still get sufficient classroom learning to be a safe rider.

Fantastic experience: I passed and I am only 15(and a half). The instructors were great. I really enjoyed the straight aways and the tight turns. Ray and jerry were awesome. I recommend this class to anyone who has zero experience in riding. Thank you for the experience I look forward to riding in the future.

Fantastic experience: Instructors were excellent. I took the course having never ridden a motorcycle before and they were exactly the people I needed to be successful. Stern when needed, Funny when appropriate, and knew exactly when to say just relax and ride your ride. I have already recommended to several friends who are experienced and inexperienced riders.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend taking the BRC for novice and seasoned riders. My experience as a beginner was great, I gained confidence and learned new skills. I know the seasoned riders learned a thing or two and broke some bad habits. I came home after the last class and immediately hopped on my bike that had been collecting dust in my garage. Fantastic experience: This place is FANTASTIC! I highly recommend The Safety Center, LLC to anyone looking to learn how to ride a motorcycle for the first time and even for experienced motorcyclists wanting to improve their skills! Jerry & Belinda were knowledgeable, experienced, and most of all FUN!! Over a weekend, they walk you through building-block exercises for you to be prepared to perform your State-recognized (MO and/or KS) motorcycle performance evaluation, which you do on-site after completion of the class and courses. You can then take your proof of completion to the DMV and get your "M" endorsement! Couldn't be happier! Keep Calm and Ride On! :)

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about the Basic Rider Course; Belinda and Jerry were excellent coaches! Each of the skills were broken down into manageable units and any bad habits were immediately caught and positively corrected. If you're considering buying your first motorcycle, this class is well worth your time and investment to see if you're ready!

Fantastic experience: I failed this class today. But my failure taught me a very valuable lesson. KEEP YOUR WRIST FLAT!!! Squeezed the brake in a stopping excercise which leveled my wrist and cranked the throttle and I paniced. This class is absolutely amazing. The staff is light hearted and theres no way you can not walk away from this class more educated unless you do it on purpose. I WILL be back, and I WILL pass. This failure has taught me a very valuable lesson and probably saved my life in future riding and for that I'm thankful. Sorry about your fence, Jerry! LoL.

Positive experience: While motorcycle training they seem to have down, time management seems a foreign concept. Instructors could not keep to a schedule. That they dictate. Saturday class had a one hour lunch, and ended almost an hour early. Then my wife was told told ( on Sunday) that class would go two to two and half hours later than scheduled to make up for the previous day. ( there had been some rain in the early part of the day, which should not matter in a training that is supposed to be rain or come shine.”) If you take training here, it will be quality training. Just ensure your schedule is completely free and you don’t have commitments during this time. Block out the entire weekend. I’m a big supporter of say what you do, do what you say.

I learned a ton and confirmed whether or not many of my instincts were night or wrong. The instruction was often humbling but gave me confidence when it turned out I knew more than I expected. Negative experience: You fail people for not maintaining a specific speed when you give them a motorcycle without a functioning speedometer. That is absolutely ridiculous. Maintain your vehicles. I understand a broken mirror or minor dents. But giving someone a bike without an functioning speedometer and expecting them to “just know” when they are going a certain speed. What a waste of money. Find somewhere else to take the course people...

Fantastic experience: Just finished yesterday i passed and i was a nervous wreck i didnt even sleep Friday night cause i was nervous lol but on Sunday with the help of both Ray and Jerry they told me to relax calm down the motorcycle will do what u want it to do as long as u relax. i finally calmed down and started enjoying the practice exercised. when it came to the evaluation skills test i did very well i had no experience on a bike anyone can do this as long as u listen no matter what experience u have it will make u a better and safer rider Thank you both for your commitment to teaching the course oh and u get a discount on ur insurance if u take it as well

Fantastic experience: I had such a blast at the beginner course. I have never driven a motorcycle before and feel like I have learned every skill I need to ride safely. The instructors are passionate and you can tell they really love what they do. If you want to learn, take the plunge.

Fantastic experience: This review is two years past due. Ok, Being a female, I was very nervous to take this course. I was relieved to see other women in the class. Also, I knew ZERO about riding a motorcycle. Could not even find neutral on the bike. I will tell you I found the class to be very difficult, because of how nervous I was. Lol I even dropped my bike at some point. Then I failed the class, and you know what? At no extra charge, Jerry trained with me on a Sat or Sun, and I got to re-take the test, and passed!!!! For me, I needed that extra one on one. All of that sounds hard right? Well, they make certain you can handle the road before releasing you on it, and I respect that. So much so, that I’m going to take the class AGAIN in a few weeks with my daughter. Why? Because as a rider, you should always be learning. Back then it was Jerry and another young male teacher. Fantastic experience: Sadly I missed the appointment schedulingi wanted but the instructor was very helpful. Responded in a timely manner on numerous occasions. Really went above and beyond to assist me. I will prolong my trip to make the class he has readily available to thank him for his work and time. Ty again Jerry. ✊ See you in June.

Fantastic experience: I just took this class this past weekend it's a great class I learned alot and I rode my bike last night after class and today as my first time riding in my life I felt alot more confident after this class I done and remembered everything they taught me and been riding very good and smooth one thing that's stuck in my head is slow look press and roll lol and it has helped..great guys here and I will be back for the part 2 of the basic riding course pick this training facility and you wont be disappointed

The instructors are what make this place-I can’t express my gratitude for the amount of patience that they had with me. I'd never been on a motorcycle or driven a stick shift. I’ll be keeping these lessons with me for life! If you’re afraid of taking a class because you don’t know what you’re doing and are worried that other people will, don’t be. Very diverse class that is paced at the right speed. Everyone in our class passed. Just step out of your comfort zone and do it. Thanks for getting me riding guys!

Fantastic experience: Great experience. I had a blast! The instructors, Jerry and Teresa, are excellent teachers for people of all skill levels. Everyone in the group learned a lot and left the course with more skill and confidence than they had before. Some people in the group had never ridden a motorcycle, and so the learning curve was very steep, but the instructors were patient and positive and gave them excellent advice and personalized instruction. Everyone in the group passed the examinations and got their certificates! Even people with a little more experience were able to improve their skills and correct some of their self-taught bad habits (talking about myself mainly : ). I would recommend this course to anyone who plans to ride a motorcycle on the public streets.

Negative experience: Buyer Beware, this business needs a two tier class. the teacher catered to top of class. so if you have no or little experience, and you cant do the exercise within two minutes they throw you out, without refund, the teacher kicked 50% of the students, so there is no room for people have never driven a stick shift, or sat on a motorcycle. so if your class holds CDL drivers or people who drive for a living or more experienced riders and you are a rookie, and need more attention , you will be asked to leave, buyer beware!!!!

Fantastic experience: As a truly novice rider (never even been on a bike), these guys were amazing!!! Even the experienced riders in our class benefited from their thorough instruction. I was a little nervous, but they did a spectacular job walking you through exercises and explaining what, how, and why we were about to do things. They were very patient, but made it clear when you made a mistake, and why it would be dangerous to do outside of their controlled environment. Couldn't recommend Jerry and Jason enough!! What an awesome experience!
