Fantastic experience: My 8yo son recently attended a class at United Karting Academy, and it was an absolutely exhilarating experience for him! The staff is highly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about go-karting, making it a fun environment for both beginners and seasoned drivers.The instructors broke down the track, driving techniques into digestible steps, while encouraging improvement. The karts are well-maintained, and the track is designed to provide a perfect balance of challenge and excitement. It's clear that United Karting is dedicated to providing top-tier training and an unforgettable experience. Passion behind United Karting team is evident. Great job, guys! We shortly were back for our 2nd class and are looking forward to the 2025 season.

Fantastic experience: Love this track! My son has been racing here since 2019 and looks forward to seeing his friends and having a fun time on race weekends. We have always had great experiences as a family here and the race community is something special.

Negative experience: CONSIDER IT BEFORE YOU VISIT! On October 20th, a friend and I visited for the first time and bought three sessions each. During the first session, we waited 10-15 minutes in our karts with no apology or explanation from the staff. They could have started without the latecomers but didn’t. After the session, I left briefly to buy water. A frustrated staff member, whom I’ll call “Mr. Angry,” vented loudly, saying, “I don’t f wanna do this anymore.” When I returned in minutes, he confronted me about taking too long, sarcastically suggesting I shouldn’t have needed to leave for water. His attitude was irrational. Things escalated when we were told we weren’t listed for the second session, despite paying for it. When I asked Mr. Angry about it, he blamed me for “wasting time” with my water break and ignored my point about the initial delay. He offered a refund or to return another day, neither of which felt like a fair resolution. After driving two hours for a single short session and dealing with rude service, I’d recommend thinking twice before visiting this place.

Negative experience: Extremely disorganized and short staffed. Expect a very very long wait. Also a lack of supervision on the track that borders on unsafe — we saw a child driving recklessly for laps until they got in a massive wreck. We waited for 2 hours to get on the track, then gave up and went home.

Fantastic experience: "Enjoy a lot of family fun at this place. Their rental karts perform well and rarely break down. The wide track reduces the likelihood of accidents. The staff is incredibly kind and polite. They offer excellent karting lessons for kids, teens, and adults through the Academy training program. Highly recommended if you don't have your own kart."

Fantastic experience: What a great experience. We did a private event on Friday and it could not have gone better. The staff was super friendly and attentive to our needs. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Fantastic experience: I almost never post reviews but felt compelled to comment on my very positive recent experience at United Karting. I have been to this track as a kart owner for myself as well as my 11 year old grandson (racing since he was 5) since the inception of United Karting in late 2018, so I know the owners well, especially on the competition go kart owners side. These guys work hard to improve the karting sport in this area, partnering with other organizations, car clubs and tracks. However, my recent experience was with their relatively new Carolikart rental fleet. My other grandson, 22 years old from Texas was visiting and the three of us drove the UK rental karts. The karts are obviously well maintained and performed flawlessly. In short, our experience was the most fun we have ever had on a track. I have driven on indoor and outdoor tracks across the US as well as Europe for over 50 years. The UK layout is relatively long, safe and fast. It has numerous areas that are safe to pass. The experience was exhilarating and nothing like one would experience on an indoor venue. But there was more: Track personnel were courteous and most helpful. It had rained earlier that day and the track was drying out when we arrived. We were even provided with a personal cell phone to call for a status as the track dried, although we waited nearby. They even offered to take group photos. I highly recommend this place for anyone interested in true karting: Outdoor karting!

Fantastic experience: First and foremost, United Karting is the premier highspeed go-cart training center on the East Coast, located in Hanover, MD. My kids 11yo and 12yo attended the United Karting Academy; a 4-hour dedicated class on safety, performance and driving. There were 2 additional training classes going on at the same time: one for Younger Drivers (slower go-carts) and then the Adult Drivers. The Training and Track Staff were outstanding; very professional. Their priority was on safety of the Drivers! They ensured that each Driver was confident with using the go-carts. Prior to sitting in a cart, the instructions (3-4 Staff) per age group walked the track and explained the proper “lines” of the track, again always highlighting safety over speed!! The Staff were personable, professional and most importantly efficient. I was beyond impressed with their diligence to safety and attentiveness to what was happening on the course. My kids had an absolutely great time and want to go back for their Sunday League sessions. Hands down-a great and safe experience. Fantastic experience: Really fun place for rental karting! Unlike the boring indoor e-cart tracks with no room to pass and a 20-30 sec. lap time, this place’s carts are pretty quick and the circuit is actually wide enough to overtake effectively. All around, great experience!

Fantastic experience: Well run track! Very responsive and professional staff - especially Devon and Steve. Great place for kids to start getting into the world of karting and racing (5 year olds and up) via their Karting Academy program.

Fantastic experience: Amazing track and staff to support all levels of karting experience. I started out in the rentals, took their racing school (which I highly recommend--really fun and I learned quite a lot from their experienced instructors), raced in the rental leagues for a bit, worked my way up through their more powerful karts (Club United Rotax), and eventually bought my own KA100 from the owners. Every step of the way was a blast. I also took my young daughter to the racing school for kids, and she loved it. The staff are friendly, the karts and track are fast and fun, and the people I've met along the way have been incredibly cool and supportive. If you like to go fast, I highly recommend giving this track a shot!

Fantastic experience: Great experience for me and my 9-year-old son. Very well organized event, great instruction, just the right amount of down time between runs. Lots of runs in the instructional sessions. Also Great value for your money. It's not cheap but it is One of the cheapest ways to get into real Motorsports!

Fantastic experience: Really great facility in this day and age. The karts are well maintained, and while there's the usual parity in the rental karts (i.e., there's always that ONE rental kart with a fresh front tire or subpar engine), most of them are on very equal terms. The track is very wide and the final sector is very conducive to passing opportunities, even in rental karts, because of the line variety available. Virtually every corner has a way for you to set up for a pass if you plan one or two apexes ahead though. Also thought it was cool to see the popularity of Junior Kart races and the karting class for learning how to drive. I've never seen that offered at other karting facilities around NoVA in the past 15 years, and the instructor's explanation to the kids was really good. My only wish is that blue flags were more vigilent when there is a substantial difference in driver pace, but I understand that it's difficult to keep track of when nearly everyone is wearing the same helmet. Drivers need to watch that the kart they're passing does an over-the-shoulder check before making a long-range attempt. Overall, had a really positive first experience here. Loved that there are rental gas karts in the area still, and that they also have ROTAX 125cc 2-stroke leagues as well. Looking forward to coming back here many more times!

Negative experience: By far the most arrogant and illiterate employees ever I’ll tell everyone not to go there coz they just plain lie on your face. Very rude and so not professional. These guys needs to shut down or May be owner don’t care about this.

Negative experience: I live over an hour from this track. I had some questions about their arrive-and-drive and racing programs. I left three separate phone messages with them (two with the same extension, one with someone else), and never received a callback. So I never went. I guess customer service is not their strong suit.

Fantastic experience: This place is a must for any karting enthusiast. The track is technical and fast. You must use your brakes to get fast lap times. They do not provide personalized reports, but the lap times are posted live on an app, so you can track your progress. Karts have adequate power for the track, you will be smiling the whole time. Bring food and drinks with you, there are no facilities close by.

Fantastic experience: United Karting hosted two full days of exciting racing with the recent Spartan weekend. A huge turnout of racers across all classes from the kids to the masters and legends for two stroke and 4 stroke engines. An excellent job all around for the stewards, race managers, and staff.

Fantastic experience: Great karting track that is actually wide enough to allow overtakes, public rental karts are fast and reasonably well maintained.

Fantastic experience: We went for an organized group activity that included a warm up race, qualifying, and an actual race. Activity was run well. Track is a lot of fun. Some variability in the karts which can add to the excitement or frustration when racing, but that's pretty normal.

Fantastic experience: Great experience at UK! Got there a bit early and was greeting by the staff. We were able to walk the track before it opened to figure out the lines. Promptly at 8am, Justin welcomed us and got us all set up. We were on the track at 8:15. 100 minutes of racing is just what my son and I needed to finish up the week. The track is fast and a bit technical. Perfect for both experience and novice drivers. Always a great time coming here!

Fantastic experience: Very fun track and the new Caroli Karts are actually pretty stable and equal in power being brand new. Wide enough track so if you have to pass there’s plenty of space to do so. Few issues: the announcement to see if you’re up next is weak. The speaker isnt loud enough to hear 30 feet away if there’s like 30 people crowding the cashier. Some of the karts didn’t have transponders so I couldn’t get my times for 2 out of 3 races. Overall would come back again!

Fantastic experience: Kids did their Comp University program and had an amazing time. Great staff, appropriate karts for each age group. These are the only place I know that can handle 5year olds. Highly recommended. Roomy course and high quality karts. Different league than casual kart rental places.

Fantastic experience: The place is amazing and has karting for (really) everybody! They just updated their fleet with all new Swedish (i.e. super reliably engineered) models that handle amazingly well. All enthusiasts will enjoy. They have adult and junior karting rental leagues so that everybody can get into racing! They have Club United for those of us starting to level up. And they have many classes of full on competition racing Kart events! The Staff is so knowledgeable, welcoming, patient, and helpful. They have a compkart university on some weekends to give everybody a little extra training and safety. Can’t say enough great things about them. My family loves the place!

Fantastic experience: If you want to get your speed fix in this is the place to go. They have a great course and it's not super expensive. They even have lesson for the young ones if you put them in a training class. It's a blast!

Fantastic experience: probably one of the best outdoor karting facility in the DMV the area with one of the fastest rental kart fleet They have intro kart classes as early as 5yr old and a huge track that has permanently taken over a part of bwi extended parking lot. Excellent support staff with kart purchase with the option to store them there. The place feels very welcoming with a close family vibe even for new comers to the sport We also went with a large car group for a private rental and was ton of fun . highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Simply a fantastic circuit for seasoned racers to new rookie racing enthusiasts. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The track and rental equipment allows you to have a superb racing experience. United Karting is perfect, cares about their customers, and staff!

Fantastic experience: Great experience! I wish they'd be open a bit more often. Also lockers near the track for people wishing to store things like their keys and phones would be nice. Otherwise every time I've been here it's been a pretty simple karting with little to no bs experience. If you're doing 3 rental races I'd recommend being there ~1.5-2 hours before closing since with track maintenance and/or other events like comp karts and moto being run between rental sessions that can be how long it takes.

Fantastic experience: United Karting was awesome in helping to get my son set up for competition sprint karting. I initially met Brandon at the track who provided a great overview of how United Karting operates. He then showed us a kart that would suit my son. Later we connected with Devin, Ed and Daniel to help us set up our newly purchased kart. I can't say enough good things about these guys! Negative experience: Drove by with a friend and wanted to go since it’s close to home and I have friends and family visit often. Had a friend visit from Texas for her birthday and we both wanted to go! Called 4 times, left 2 messages. After my 3rd call, I got a robot text back (see below) “racetracks can be loud. () Can I help you via text?” I responded less than a minute later. 5 hours later, no response. After reading the other recent 1 star reviews. It’s probably best not to patronize this establishment. ‍♀️

Negative experience: Be very careful with this outfit. I almost lost my fingers yesterday driving their defective kart... It's brake failed and ended up going full speed under the side guards which also failed to stop the kart by absorbing the impact... Instead it went over me and caught my fingers on the steering wheel. The worse part was the 17 year old "manager" wanted to charge me for "damages" to the side guard that failed! Amazing... Lawsuit to damage to my hand will be filed.

Fantastic experience: Today was my first time going karting ever and I had a blast! The staff was so pleasant and attentive. All of my friends who have gone to other places say this track was the best karting experience they’ve ever had. Prices are way better than some of the other places for what you get. Highly recommend for anyone who’s into the idea. The track really made this a much more enjoyable experience because it’s not just a circle, it’s like a real racing track!

Negative experience: United Karting was a true disappointment. I have been doing Indoor Karting for a few years. I don’t like indoor Karting location in Jessup with a passion. They run the place like it’s a privilege for customers to spend money with them. They don’t maintain the karts properly(lack of mechanic or under pay the mechanic) They also nickel and dime you with license fee or head sock fee. That is not posted anywhere online or at the track. I found that United Karting was very similar experience but more expensive on a outdoor track at a old BWI parking lot. The racing was much longer. 56- 60 seconds a lap on my first few races. Compared to 20-30 seconds a lap. Loved the elevation change, Much more open racing. I was not impressed with the customer service with the attempt to charge me for a head sock, no one doing any safety training(people need to be taught the flags), the threat to make us pay for barriers(break it, you buy it), poorly maintained karts( I had a vibrating kart in straight line that I had to fight to stay straight kart(#6), my brother had his left rear axle come off, my buddy has breaks that would be squishy and loose steering wheel) also we didn’t get our official times from the United Karting, I had to ask my brother to time me who refused to get into another death trap( kart, his words) Sadly I know this is a top down problem. Money over quality. The owner wants to make back his/her money and the karts and their Maintanence are probably a large part of cost. Well in the end, I hope it’s gets better. I really do enjoy Karting.

Fantastic experience: Awesome place, wish they recorded lap times, few karts are slower and less grip than others, fantastic and nice staff, good deal if you get the 5 race package.

Negative experience: This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. No fireproof suits were offered to drivers. On my first session on track the left rear wheel ripped off the axle in a high speed turn. This place is a death trap. Driver and kart safety is imaginary at this joint. I couldn't get a refund, what a joke.

Fantastic experience: Actual real kart racing. Karts are fast and the track lines must be learned for optimal lap time. 90% of drivers respected the racing lines and there was very little drivers that were all over the track. Best Karting experience I've had on the Mid-Atlantic

Positive experience: It's w fun experience. I would advise you to go early though, to avoid waiting in line for very long. Here, you have to drive the kart carefully, cuz if you bump into the barriers and break, you'll have to pay for them. Bring your own helmet if you have one, Cuz they're usually out of the larger sizes very fast.

Negative experience: Called hours didn't get an answer. Got a text message with hour late responses ahead of time to confirm that I could walk in, but then was told no one can walk in. I guess the person who's in charge of the phone just lied smh

Negative experience: What a waste of time this place is! I think it’s ridiculous that they had my family waiting in line for 20 minutes just to turn us away due to them having a league race coming up within the hour. They should have it on their website so that people don’t waste their time, gas or mileage. This was our first time coming to this place and this will be our last time.

Fantastic experience: I've been here multiple times to watch the races & it's always been fun with awesome people to talk to. I finally rented go karts with some friends & was surprised at how fast & fun they were. Gasoline karts are more fun than the electric ones, plus they don't slow down your karts & you can drift pretty easily. Definitely going to come back & rent Go-Karts again

Fantastic experience: Don't forget to put your visor down! Karts are quite fast and satisfying once you learn to drive them. Just be cautious with the braking and it's a great experience. Track layout is good and staff are friendly

Negative experience: We came and even though workers were all around, nobody acknowledged us or asked us if they could help. No clear direction as to rates or where to go to sign up. We ended up just leaving and we will not return.

Fantastic experience: The real deal!! The karts are surprisingly fast! The track was laid out with safety and great challenge in mind. The staff are very helpful and they are very well organized and equipped. I participated in a benefit for a fundraiser, so I am unsure about pricing, which I heard may be a bit high, but I am sure it is worth it. Best go-kart racing experience ever!
