Fantastic experience: Amazing program and amazing instructors. Highly recommended

Negative experience: The course is comprehensive and covers a wide range of skills however one instructor in particular lacks the patience needed when instructing extremely new/beginner riders who have not even touched a bike in the past. Chuck and MJ are compassionate and very informative instructors who take the time to explain and re explain themselves as much as needed however the third instructor, who our class had the misfortune of having for both days, will yell at you in a disrespectful tone and bark orders without proper explanation.

Fantastic experience: I have wanted for years to learn to ride a three wheeled bike. I finally decided to pull the trigger this year. The 2-day course was $99.00 which to me is a steal. The instructor staff was great and very knowledgeable. One thing I can say that if nothing else they were all consistent with what we were being taught. They preach safety, which is what it is all about. The student check-in process was seamless and before I knew it, we were off. Absolutely recommend!

Fantastic experience: This was a phenomenal experience the past couple of days. Very friendly and patient staff help new and experienced riders sign up with a free ride day to get your feet wet and when you join a class, you have consistency with having the same instructors both days. Felice and Marty were very informative and valued everyone’s safety, skill building exercises, and stress free approach to getting everyone to think about what they are doing and execute actions in the safest way possible. This MSF course provided by this professional staff is well organized and I believe anyone looking to start their safe and fun motorcycle journey should check them out.

Fantastic experience: Completed BRC course. Instructor’s Marty and Felice were very informative and detailed instructions were given. Come ready to learn and let the instructors guide you into success. If you show up like a know it all and you like to blame everything and everyone but yourself, you might have a more difficult time then others. It’s not hard and can actually be a fun time if you like to learn. The Majority of the BRC course is about Safety and Control and will be useful not only for your own safety but for the safety of the motoring public. So take it seriously. It could be your family member out there on the road.

Fantastic experience: Marty and Felice were phenomenal instructors. Riders with no experience would greatly benefit from taking the MSF course with license assessment. Both Marty and Felice explained and demonstrated each exercise with amazing detail. Their individual feedback definitely helps make you a better rider. If you want to be safe on the road and learn the basics of a motorcycle, I definitely recommend Big Apple Motorcycle School.

Fantastic experience: Took my license waiver class today with George and Michelle and couldn’t have asked for a better experience Michelle was especially helpful when it came to making sure to stay calm and focused on the exercise and not overthink it. I would highly recommend anyone from a beginner to an experienced rider take one of there classes and will recommend them to anyone looking for some training or to just brush up on there skills.

Fantastic experience: Constantine and Matt were FANTASTIC riding coaches. They were thorough, and patient with each and every student. Big Apple was recommended to me from a friend, and I was able to have my brother and husband attend the class with me. We even recommended the class to another friend who is looking into taking the BRC course now. Thank you guys!!!

Fantastic experience: A very honest review below: I will first start out by saying everyone from the owners, office staff, and instructors are extremely on top of their game, helpful, and very honest. They also go above and beyond to get you situated with every part of the process. Now to the actual experience: Constantine and John are extremely professional instructors. You might think you know more than you do prior to entering. You will change your mind after an hour, but, they are there to teach you. Let them talk-trust me. I learned more in two days of this than I ever knew. It’s not all about riding. It’s about so much more but, that’s for them to teach you. If you are capable of following directions, if you are respectful, and can handle a bike”you will be taught well, then this will be an amazing experience for you. We all know LI is one of the worst places to get a road test appt now. This works. I finished up with them today around 1pm with their testing. I had a pre scheduled appt at dmv for 3 and then received my M enforcement with a flawless transaction at the DMV. Thank you again ladies and gents for some good reality checks, the education you provided, and just for an all out great experience.

Negative experience: Signed up and paid for the beginners class after only being there for 3 hours the teachers asked me to leave because I wasn’t keeping up with the class with no opportunity for a refund only to come resign up for the class at a discounted price! It was a terrible experience! Why would I resign up for another class only for them to take my money again and not teach me??? I 100% don’t recommend using this school! I didn’t do anything wrong such as dropping the bike and I feel like I wasn’t given a chance to learn??? Following being asked to leave the class which I did the owner tried to call me which I was unable to answer because I drove a hour away to take the class! I called back the next day and the man I was speaking with hung up on me and when I called back repeated to pick up the phone and hang up on me ! I was so upset and it was beyond unprofessional since all I was asking him to do was leave a message for the owner to me and he told me no ! Over all it was a terrible experience for me

Fantastic experience: On June 15-16 I decided to take my 3 wheel motorcycle course to get my license. Let me say that this class was amazing and really informative. My instructors were Felice and Randy, both staff members were excellent and knowledgeable. I am very happy that I took this course and would recommend it to anyone looking to obtain their 3 wheel license.

Fantastic experience: Just completed the 2 day beginners course and I absolutely loved it. Bozena and Scott were very knowledgeable and effective in explaining and demonstrating safe and proper ways to operate and manipulate the motorcycles. I knew nothing before I started and by the time I left the class, I had the proper knowledge, tools and techniques necessary to effectively practice so that in time, I will feel confident in becoming a safe motorcycle operator. The instructors don’t mess around when it comes to safety and everything I experienced was fair and effective! I definitely recommend taking this course with this company if you are considering becoming a licensed motorcyclist.

Fantastic experience: I personally chose this company based on all the positive reviews that I have read on them. I went in expecting to learn a few things in order to become a safe and knowledgeable rider. Upon arrival and meeting our coaches ( Felice and John, who by the way are phenomenal) I instantly knew and felt that I had made a wise choice. From the introduction to the instruction of the tasks that we would be required to complete, it was all explained in a manner that was clear and precise, Felice and John made sure that everyone understood what would be expected and if someone needed additional help understanding the task they would do so in a very calm and professional manner. These are two well experienced individuals that have the proper patience and techniques to guide you in the right direction, wether you are a seasoned rider or someone with no experience at all, I’m sure you will leave learning something you didn’t know before.

Fantastic experience: Riding coaches were great and explained every exercise very clearly, and showed how to do them just as clear. They also expressed all of the important factors of riding and hot to improve on riding.

Negative experience: I had the most disgusting encounter with woman named felice she was racist and her demeanor was just disgusting. as soon as I entered the building she was telling a Hispanic student this is her country and her rules all over cause he made a mistake writing the date since In a lot of Hispanic countries it goes day month and year. Not even mentioning the fact that she dropped me out of the class CAUSE I TAKE MEDS THAT MAKE ME USE THE REST ROOM OFTEN SHE had a filthy attitude WILL NOT RECOMMEND I PAID TO BE TAUGH NOT SCREAMED AT LIKE AN AMINAL.

Fantastic experience: I personally ride a motorcycle for 20+ years and have taken at least two other safety courses in my home country Greece. After taking that safety course, I have come to realize that this course is a life saver when it comes down to accident prevention. In theory, everything is easy, but applying those theories in real life is a challenge. This is what this course does, it is simulating several hazard scenarios you have to avoid and you apply theory in real life circumstances. I suggest that all brother and sister riders out there to spare some time for this course, not only to avoid the DMV road test, but also to learn something that down the line might save your life. We had the privilege to be guided by experienced instructors such as Diane and George, with the outermost professionalism. Riding a motorcycle is a challenge itself, but how about adding to your safety? Do not think twice, just take the course..

Fantastic experience: Completed the Basic MSF Course today with George and Constantine (Scott was on hand for day one). All were outstanding instructors and just great people. They made the two days beyond enjoyable. While enjoyable, make no mistake…their focus and concern is on helping all students to become better riders. There was constant constructive feedback and one-on-one coaching when needed. They truly care about you as a student and aside from running through the exercises, they impart their invaluable years of experience which will only make you safer on the road. Our class was a mix of experienced and novice riders and everyone passed the “celebration of knowledge” at the end. Lol. This course will benefit any rider and you’re guaranteed to learn things that will help you. To George, Constantine, Scott and all at Big Apple Motorcycle School, thank you! See you in the future for an advanced course.

Negative experience: This class was the most humiliating experience in my life. I felt that I was not treated with respect. I was yelled at multiple times even though I was really trying to learn. I would not recommend if you are a real novice. I am really sorry for myself that I chose to take this class and end up having this experience. I was forced to leave the class because of my slow learning within 90 minutes of the class start. The instructor kept insisting me to check off that I am withdrawing from the class which is not the truth. I spent about $400 for less than 2 hours of class without any money back. I think that the instructors do not have any patience for slow learners.

Fantastic experience: This course was excellent. It was completely safety-oriented and great for beginners and new bikers. I started with absolutely no knowledge of riding a motorcycle. The program is hands-on. We got on the motorcycle right away. The instructors provided detailed information prior to every exercise. Each exercise built upon the previous one. The first one was walking the bike while on the bike. This was day one hour one. By day two we were riding a bike in figure 8s, riding across bumps, riding around hazards. It is amazing that so much learning was accomplished. This is only because the instructors were phenomenal. They provided critical feedback after each lesson and great positive encouragement. I highly recommend the Big Apple motorcycle school to everyone who is interested in riding a motorcycle.

Positive experience: My fiancé and I took the beginners motorcycle class Thursday and Friday of this week with Felice, Matt, and Constantine. All of the instructors were incredibly knowledgeable, courteous, professional, personable, impressive in their own riding skill, and impressive in their abilities to teach in a compassionate, patient, and thorough manner. They emphasized safety, skill, and maintaining one’s composure through the entirety of riding and I know that will stick with us for the entirety of our riding career, as well as everything they taught us in the class. Though I had struggled through the class, I never once felt rushed, belittled, or otherwise less-than by the instructors. Constantine and Matt were upbeat the entire time and focused on encouragement and safely handling the bike which made more difficult maneuvers seem more manageable. All of the instructors focused vastly on safety, and when I and other students had mishaps on the bike Felice, Constantine and Matt handled the situation with grace, professionalism, and the utmost patience and support in such a way that reassured and calmed any anxieties we might have had. I know that I personally had a mishap in the ring during an exercise, and without their emphasizing safety and confidence it would have ended much more poorly. Even while panicking, I was able to reinforce what they taught and safely regained control of the bike, shut of the engine, and uprighted myself. Felice came over to me right away, and I know that should she had not had the confidence, knowledge, or patience to handle the situation I probably would have cried, left the class, and never touched a motorcycle again. Instead of rushing me, belittling me, or otherwise, she calmed my nerves, coached me into realizing what I had done wrong, reassured me that I could return safely to class, and comforted me in that should I wish to leave the class there would be no harm or foul and no one would think less of me. There has been no other teacher I have dealt with in the entirety of my schooling, undergraduate, graduate or otherwise, that had handled a situation like that with such kindness and respect that I couldn’t be more grateful to Felice for handling my anxieties the way that she did. I know that other students also felt the same way with Felice, Constantine, and Matt. I would definitely recommend taking classes through Big Apple with Felice, Constantine, or Matt. I believe it is an asset to myself and others to take this class. However, from briefly meeting Diane and George in a visit, I don’t think the same could be said for classes with them. Diane seemed knowledgeable, professional and courteous, but George seemed as though he didn’t have the time of day for beginners in a class he wasn’t even teaching. I know that myself, my fiancé, and other students in the class got the same impression. I think that as a whole taking this course was a wonderful opportunity, experience, and an absolute asset to learning how to safely operate motorcycles. However, while I would whole heartedly recommend classes with Felice, Matt, and Constantine, and I plan on taking more classes with them, I don’t know if I would say the same for the other instructors. That interaction would be the only reason to not give the experience 5 stars. Otherwise, I could not recommend the experience more and definitely plan on recommending the class to others, and sending my children here should the classes still be offered.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely enjoyed the experience. Luckily with small group it was good to have almost one on one training session. Coach John with his emence knowledge was helpful and sharpen my skills. He was right behind me whenever I made mistake and corrected me without any hesitation. Mark absolute gem of coach even though he new traine but his knowledge of how to control motorcycle was good thanks for teaching me Clutch and throttle. Konstantine guy is da man. Great personality easy to deal with his technique to ride was helpful. Felice our first day was good experience rider but tough coach.. but tell u the truth her knowledge was something I can always keep in with until I ride. It was great experience with Big Apple Motorcycle school. I love to come back next year with 2nd course. I strongly and definitely tell my friends and family to join BAMS if you want to learn how to ride motorcycle for sure. I went in as rookiee but now feel comfortable and will practice what learn from my coaches.

Fantastic experience: I never road on a 3 wheel motorcycle before and I wanted to learn how to ride. I took the 3 wheel BRC and it was amazing! I learned so much in just two days. All the instructors were very patient and extremely knowledgeable. The pacing and onsite training was perfect! Big Apple Motorcycle School is a great place to learn proper motorcycle riding techniques and safe riding skills. I had a great time!

Fantastic experience: What an unreal experience. I figured this was just a routine thing to get out of the way in order to get licensed. Not at all. Constantine and John were FABULOUS instructors. Fantastic experience: This class is designed for the beginner rider, or anyone looking to sharpen their basic skills. I took this class with the hopes of learning about riding, but walked away with much more than I could have imagined. Constantine and his fellow instructors are extremely knowledgeable and detail oriented. Their number 1 priority is rider safety and thanks to them, I feel more comfortable than I could have imagined. The skills learned here are build upon each other over the course of 2 days in a way that is easily understood for someone who may has never ever touched a bike before. Diane and George are fantastic instructors, as well as other staff members. They teach you everything you need to know. The motorcycles you use are in very good shape, and you cannot beat the location (Heckscher Park) or the price.

Fantastic experience: I went there with zero experience and i had never been on a motorcycle before in my life. They gave me a great foundation they made the class fun and interesting. I can say im a better car driver because of stuff they taught me and finally a motorcycle rider. Fantastic experience: The systematic way the class was set up, from the E-course, range, and the classroom, gave you precise building blocks to ride a motorcycle. As you went through the course, your knowledge, comfort level, and confidence increases. The instructors (First day- Felice, Constantine, and Bozena and the Second day- Constantine, John, George, and Diane) were amazing, very perceptive, and knowledgeable. Even with twelve students, it felt like one-on-one training. I not only learned how to ride, but I also have more respect for the motorcycle and understand now the importance of your mental and emotional capacity needed to ride safely. Thanks guys

They encouraged me to ask questions often supplying me with a how too response. Would encourage all who really want to gain knowledge of trike or bike riding, this is the school.

Fantastic experience: I went into this as a novice. No 3-wheel riding experience behind me but I was greatly encouraged and supported by the instructors. The classroom time provided great information that was then applied on the "range" when we were riding. The coaches were great in their teaching and coaching. The learning here laid a super foundation for safe and defensive driving and I am very excited to continue on this journey and to get a bike of my own. Thank you for a super experience!

Fantastic experience: I learned how to operate a motorcycle fully with little to no experience and enjoyed the class it had 11 people in 3 instructors very strict and it was fun every 1 was a adult and every 1 helped each other would love to do it all again P.S. I passed my road test and I have my license
