Great South Harley-Davidson

Negative experience: Talked with Dustin over the phone, and I made it abundantly clear the price I was willing to pay for a motorcycle and he gave me his word he could do that price. I let him know I was driving 2 hours and didn’t want to waste my time and he assured me the price again. When I got there, he immediately tried to sell me a cheaper motorcycle and told me the bike I was interested was 1k more than agreed. He was rude and condescending and pushed us off on John to further waste our time with poor sales tactics instead of being transparent on the phone. They both didn’t care that I drove out of my way to be there with blatant lies. I would not recommend or work with either of them or this branch ever again. But if you’re in Montgomery, AL at HarleyD ask for Cowboy… upstanding gentleman and best salesman I ever had the pleasure of working with. Got me the price I asked for, free delivery, and stayed an hour after close just because I told him I was driving a long way. When it’s time to upgrade we will be going back to see him.

Fantastic experience: Dustin worked hard to put me on the bike I wanted, even though that changed at least 3 times during the process. Dustin and John worked together to make sure that I got the terms I wanted. Holly, the GM, was also very helpful during the whole process. This is the second Harley that I've bought and I would recommend you use them too.

Fantastic experience: My bike tripped numerous fault codes one evening so I drove to Great South Harley Davidson just before they closed to have the codes checked. Dalton was extremely helpful in analyzing the issue quickly and even updated my radio and ABS softwares on the spot so I could drove my bike home. Fantastic experience: i called Dalton at Great South Harley yesterday around 2pm about having my recall completed. I had been trying to get there since October but with work its been hard to plus I live an hour away. I asked him if I could come in today since I got off early. He said come in I'll get it handled. I live an hour + away got there around 4pm and left after 5p Great Service! Great Atmosphere! Great South Harley is a Great Harley Davidson Dealer. Don't take my word, go see for yourself. Fantastic experience: I knew what I wanted, and I called Dustin, as he had worked with me a couple weeks before when I was considering a Sportster S. This time, I explained that I would only drive two hours if he could work up a deal simply too good to refuse on a Low Rider ST 2024. Within hours, I was on the way to Newnan, and I rode home on my new bike with a better deal than I thought they would ever consider. Also, John in the finance office and the gentleman I spoke with at the parts department were great and extremely helpful.

Fantastic experience: This dealership was a huge help with getting my bike fixed. They picked my bike up from my house , which was very helpful since I was unable to trailer it myself at the time , and had it diagnosed and ready to go within a few days.

Negative experience: Worst customer service experience I have ever had. GF and I were supposed to take the riding class and had to cancel due to an immediate family member death and they basically said sorry absolutely nothing we can do for you no exceptions. I have never experienced such a lack of empathy from a manager in my life.

Positive experience: Service writer, Dalton insulted my intelligence a 2nd time. Had to put in a complaint and let them know if it happens again they will lose my business and as many friends I can get to avoid them.

Negative experience: Initially buying the bike was a wonderful experience as per my review. Having the bike for 1 day it already had issues. I was told by Dalton it would be picked up 1.5 weeks later (originally, I was told 1-2 days lead time is all they needed to pick up by Dalton as well) also found out my bike never went through a safety inspection prior to sale. I was told they would service it for free---you think!! Then they told me my tire has a nail in it.... I rode it for 2 hours on the way home from purchase not being safe in the first place and I need to put tires on it. Communication was terrible, had to ask several questions to get simple answers. Really disappointing after the sales experience. They are short-handed, I heard that like 6 times.....I wasn’t in a rush...check all my issues before calling me not 1 at a time. My brake issue is still not resolved. I had it checked and verified it has a problem from another dealer closer to home. Have a shop foreman or someone tenured test drive your bikes to verify a safety concern before you release an unsafe and uninspected bike. Maybe show a customer who spent 1500 on initial visit in accessories/apparel some appreciation and replace the tire as goodwill. Just a horrible experience and I could not recommend this store for service.

Negative experience: Was NOT impressed. No pet products,ladies intimates and very little jewelry. We are out from California on vacation.

Fantastic experience: Awesome customer service. Went to multiple dealers trying to buy a new bike. They were the first one to actually give me straight numbers on a new bike no games like other dealers wear playing. Dan was awesome with working with me to get on the new bike.

Negative experience: Spoke to a salesman 2 days in a row. Set an appointment. Sent in all the info I was asked for on the bike I wanted to trade in. Got money out of the bank. Called on the third day to finalize everything before driving over an hour to buy the bike I wanted, he tells me someone is test driving it. He'd call me back. Still waiting on that call...... Would put zero stars but Google won't allow it. **UPDATE** Two days later, I get a call, bike is sold, but they can get me on something else, not even remotely close to what I was originally purchasing, and talking about my payment amount. I never asked about financing. I pay in cash. Tells me he never listened to our conversation to begin with.

Negative experience: Called to ask about tires, part associate didn't even attempt to ask for my tire size. flat out just said "no, absolutely not." This is my second time attempting to use this Harley and the last.

Fantastic experience: It’s rare these days to find a business that is so helpful and friendly. I would recommend Greater South Harley Davidson in Newnan to absolutely anyone looking for a motorcycle. They will treat you with respect and have customer service that you just have to experience. My son has bought three bikes from them and my husband got one today. Go see these folks and do yourself a real favor. You won’t be sorry!

Negative experience: Unwilling to budge on price or terms at all. Went in pre approved (though Harley). Just looking for a bike to not break the bank for a first bike. I found one I wanted and applied online for financing. It said I was approved so went to the dealership the next day. I told them what I was looking for payment wise and the plans I had with the bike and the loan. I was presented with terms no where near what what was advertised and also included dealer addons such as extended warranty and gap included in the payment that i never asked for. After bringing these addons to the salesman's attention we were within $70/mo with what i was willing to spend. $70.... His response to that was "well the dealership is only making $400 on this deal. If we come down on the price than the dealership loses money". When I didn't take the horrible deal he tried to show me a beat up bike about 10 years older just to make a sale. Needless to say I declined. I understand that is is a business and at the end of the day needs to make money to keep the doors open. However if this is the attitude you have with a 10k bike.... congrats on never getting the customer to keep coming back every time they want to upgrade. Will be looking to Honda and Kawasaki for twice the bike and half the price.

Fantastic experience: Great buying experience. They not pushy at all. This dealership has so much to choose from new and pre-owned. Took me nearly a month to select my Harley, but mainly because I was so picky.

Negative experience: We have some history, I bought 4 bikes from the previous owner Gene, but I recently went into store to find some items for our trip and noticed the owner was charging nearly $7 for a poker chip. We stopped in the Harley store on the Dragon and noticed her chips were 1.99. I told her she was losing revenue, our Harley was charging nearly $7. She said well those are owner discretion but I guess the new owner at Harley Newnan has no discretion and we will go to Big Foot Cycles for our motorcycle needs.
