Fantastic experience: The BEST truck driving school in the state!!! Mr. Marvin, Mr. Henry, Mr. Greg, Travis, Byron, and Ahmad were all influential in the four weeks I was there. Ms. Jennifer and Ms. Jessica are accommodating, warm, encouraging, and extremely helpful. I enjoyed the experience. The staff here really wants to succeed and even play a major role ensuring you gain employment even before you complete the program. I highly recommend Costal Truck Driving School to anyone looking to get their CDL in a timely and informative manner. 10/10

Fantastic experience: My name is Robert Wright and I had the wonderful opportunity of attending Coastal Truck Driving School. With Coastal’s flexible class schedules I was able to attend their 6am-to-5pm 8wk weekend class on Saturdays and Sundays.. It worked out great with my previous work schedule and my kids school and activity schedule..Their instructors and administrators were amazing and kept me motivated to be able to complete the course confidently…Their intimate classroom settings truly helped me to be able to focus on the instructors and all the information and techniques they were teaching..I love the experience I had at Coastal and I highly recommend anyone who’s seeking a CDL and employment in the trucking industry to try Coastal Truck Driving School….Thanks again Coastal!!!

Positive experience: They do what is advertised,I got my CDL. All the instructors will answer any question you have. The instructor Ahmad has a pretty good system to memorize your in cab and pre trip inspection. You also can get as much driving time and practice as you want. The reason for 4 stars is simply because they will not teach you how to drive a 2 stage transmission but you can test on one if you already know how to do it.

Fantastic experience: If you're thinking of getting your CDL, this is a great place to learn all the basics. The director, Ms Jenn S., will go above and beyond for her students, the admissions counselor, Ms Jenn P., will do everything in her power to help you find the right company to begin your new career with, and all of the instructors have years and years of experience, and will pass on to you all the information you will need to ace every test. Coastal BR is a great place to learn and make lifelong connections.

Positive experience: Hello to anyone who’s interested in coastal. If u are a person who wants ur CDL and need a short period of time of training or have kids and work or juggle a busy schedule but wants a change. This is the place for u 4 weeks from 6am-5pm if that doesn’t work they have weekend classes and other hours to meet ur needs. I passed today and I received my CDL license. When I didn’t believe in myself everyone else did even my examiners. Chris Greg and Ron are great just ask questions don’t b shy or afraid to ask closed mouths don’t get fed my mom always said. The women are great they treat u like family Instructors are very knowledgeable and experienced. Women with children both Jennifer’s will encourage u to take a chance and make it happen. I’m proud to say I graduated from coastal and relieved.

Fantastic experience: Diesel Driving Academy denied my application for attending school based upon assumption and by discretion in selecting students. I was accepted by Coastal and had an Awesome experience! You will become a professional commercial Driver if all information received is applied in real world. It's like the staff here has a "No Driver Left Behind" custom. Upon completion, you'll receive a Coastal College certificate. Mr. Jim will get you there. Ms. Joyce, just pinch her on the cheek. With Ms. Jennifer, try to stay out the principal office. You can have a good time while attending school. It's a totally good vibe workplace. If you have questions then ask them. They are there for you. You can even tell them that Paul sent you and may receive preferential treatment. I can go on about the experience but not enough space. Get focus, Study Hard and reap the rewards. There are other Coastal locations besides Baton Rouge, check what each has to offer for you. Thanks for the opportunity to share these experiences.

Negative experience: From a glance coastal in Baton Rouge is where i thought i wanted to be. It was super convenient for me. I live in Gonzales…until i had my sit down appointment with Kristen today. While we were reviewing my payment options she stereotyped me and said i wouldn’t qualify for the grant because she “See i drive a BMW”… i drive a 2021 Kia stinger lol thanks for the compliment. Before she pulled my driving record she automatically assumed i wouldn’t be approved based off of 2 speeding tickets within the past FIVE years.. I’m a disabled vet. Which means my CDL will be covered regardless of the tedious payment options that are available.. just like the other gentlemen said previously, if i don’t like how the secretary or receptionist is treating me, what makes you think I’m going to trust your instructors ? It was just an uncomfortable experience but my advice to anyone going forward is that a lot of people aren’t happy with their lives and they’ll project it onto you.. keep going. Find a school with a respectful staff that you can trust to lead you in the right ways. I will not be attending coastal in Baton Rouge. Be blessed.

Negative experience: Went to this place yesterday to try to get info about the program but they literally refused to help me because I needed an appointment. I mean, I get covid and all that but I only needed to know how long the program was and how much.. that's it! They didn't even seem interested in me trying to choose their school. Like really? I would've been less disappointed if at least they would have told me like.. oh this and that and I could give you more info if you make an appointment and come to talk to us more indeed BUT NOOOO. Not even that. The place was empty anyways like is not like they were busy. So yeah, that was just trying to get info, I can't imagine how they work once you get in. Really bad communication. DONT RECCOMEND.

Negative experience: We went to the school to get some basic info about the program that IM GONNA PAY. They didn’t even seem to care, told me I need an appointment and couldn’t even tell me how long the program was. She was so rude, well... all of them there were rude. Specially the lady at the front counter, she literally interrupted me to talk on the phone. I don’t recommend this school at all. Thanks to this experience we’re going to a different school. Cause... if you don't seem interested from the beginning that im trying to go to your school, why would I think you’re gonna be interested while im studying? FOH!

Negative experience: I called to look into enrolling and the lady on the phone had an atrociously insulting attitude with me .she scared me away I'm going to apply at a different driving school thanks to her negative insultingly disrespectful attitude.

Negative experience: Went over there to get CDL A .Price is outrageous Passed the state test by myself and got my permit, the next week the the lady called me about still coming and I told here I've gotten my premit already. She said that I WOULD NOT GET HIRED ANYWHERE. Three days later I got hired by a company with my permit and driving a tractor trailer. Go to National Driving Academy for school thats where I'm taking my road test.

Negative experience: If I could rate it -10 stars I would. If anyone has a class action suit against this company, please contact me.

Negative experience: Not good experience there. Hammond campus is way better. Trucks always broke down and no room for truck maneuvers in the back. Instructors falling asleep in the truck when they're supposed to be teaching us. We watched more teaching videos than anything else. Instructor from Hammond came over and chewed everyone out for their lack of motivation. Students weren't much better in my class. Most will get class A and never get a trucking job due to their criminal record.

Negative experience: This school is not up to par on their curriculum. Instructor Keith is awesome, has patience, and is very professional he will go over and beyond for anyone. Instructor Levell stays on his cellular device all the time, rather in the truck or sitting outside on the backing pad. He has no patience and will let you do the wrong thing numerous times until he decides to not be so lazy and get up and actually teach you. The Administrator, Sheila is very rude. She has a major communication deficit and is not willing to work with any student in anyway. She lets Instructor Levell do what ever he would like whenever he would like, she lets him make all of the decisions. You will know which one is Sheila, she is bald headed. Once you’re enrolled into school here she will not answer your questions, will not be flexible on anything with you. Please check out Diesel Driving Academy before you go to this school. All of th equipment is very raggedy and preventive maintenance is never performed on the trucks, so be ware that you will lose a lot of drive time due to the trucks not being maintenanced. Please stay away from this school!! They do not teach you everything you need to know. Everyone except keith is very lousy. Beware of this school!! It is a rip off, and also, the air condition does not work in any of their vehicles so you will be very very hot. Stay far far far away from Coastal Driving Acadeny!!
