Fantastic experience: I haven't had my license since I was 19 years old I am 33 now. I was absolutely terrified about taking my driver's test but the very nice lady in the office was amazing she walked me through everything she was very sweet answered all of my questions super super supportive it was amazing she made this experience not scary and it made it okay even if I didn't pass but I did pass super excited to have my license back after God knows how many years thank you guys so much you guys are amazing and I will tell my kids that they need to go to you when it comes to getting their license

Fantastic experience: Staff was very friendly and clear with instructions, and very accommodating. They were also able to see me much sooner than any other driving school. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Started when I tried scheduling my behind the wheel appointment, person over the phone was rude and acted like I was wasting her time by calling. Day of the test the older gentleman was very rude to me during the entire experiences of taking my test. Go to the driving school in delta if able to.

Negative experience: old guy is genuinely one of the most miserable people ever, lack of professionalism and acts like he has better things to do than his actual job? I really don’t know why he is still an instructor there since it seems he makes a lot of people’s experience unenjoyable

Fantastic experience: I live in Grand Junction and was having trouble getting appointments for drive time at the local driving school. I called Montrose drivers Ed and had no issues scheduling my daughter for her drive time and driving test. Kathie, the scheduler, went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. She was very nice and professional and made the whole process very easy for me. Paul, the driving instructor, was very professional and helpful as well. My daughter really enjoyed drive time with him. He was patient and explained things to her and made sure she was safe on the road. I highly recommend montrose drivers ed! I have referred many friends there and will continue to do so. Great place, great people!

Negative experience: We had an appointment and the morning of received a text message to confirm. Unable to confirm by text as phone screen was broken. Tried to call two hours prior to confirm and no answer (as usual). Left a message but did not hear back so we proceeded to show up for our appointment anyways. Called again upon arrival and we were told that our appointment was cancelled because we did not confirm by text. Tried to work things out with the office lady we were talking to and she was the rudest person I have ever dealt with. No compassion, would not listen to what we had to say, spoke over us and just kept placing blame onto us. Highly recommend driving elsewhere. We were able to get into a place in Silt within a few days. Beyond frustrated and completely taken aback by the lack of professionalism. Will do my best to report this instance to every avenue possible as it is completely uncalled for to treat people this way.

Negative experience: I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Montrose Drivers Ed, where my son took his driving test. It became clear that this business is more interested in making money than providing a fair evaluation of driving skills. Despite my son being well-prepared and confident in his abilities, he was failed for reasons that seemed highly subjective and trivial. What’s more troubling is the pattern I’ve observed: it appears that many other students from our area are also being unfairly failed. This leads me to believe that they may be deliberately targeting individuals from certain communities, possibly to force them into paying for additional lessons or retests. This kind of behavior is not only unethical but also deeply concerning. It’s disheartening to see a business taking advantage of young people who are trying to earn their licenses and gain independence. I urge others to be cautious when considering this business for driving tests, as their practices seem more focused on profit than fairness. I hope that by sharing this experience, others can avoid the frustration and financial burden that comes with dealing with a company that appears to be swindling honest customers.

Fantastic experience: Chad was awesome. I really appreciate how kind and reassuring he was. We did have a less than great experience with a different examiner, but Chad , the owner, was much more professional . It was greatly appreciated vs the condescending treatment we previously experienced. Thanks again Chad.

Fantastic experience: Chad was my driving instructor/examiner. He was AMAZING! He really put you at ease. I had some anxiety about taking a driving test (maybe even a little nervous), but once I met Chad he made me feel soo comfortable. The person before me had trouble speaking in English so Chad just started speaking with her in Spanish, which you could tell really made her more comfortable as well. He is a very proficient in Spanish. 5 Stars!!!

Negative experience: It makes sense why 85% of the drivers in Montrose are either completely lost or break almost every single rule of the road. My driving instructor was a very stubborn, uncaring man. He had me break multiple rules of the road and was extremely short with me as if I was wasting his time. Halfway through the driving test, he told me to drive through a construction area with big detour signs and a giant hole dug out of the road. I asked if he really wanted me to drive through the hole and detour signs and he said, "Did I tell you to do something different." The car was a honda accord they have you pay close to $100 to drive and is in really bad condition too. The shifting column stuck and the steering wheel was extremely loose and misaligned. It is not an ideal car to learn how to drive in, especially with how poorly Montrose drivers have been taught. When we got into the poorly running Honda I had to pay to drive, he chuckled and asked "So you don't own your own car, huh?" Completely ignoring the fact I didnt have an active license, meaning I could not drive my own car to my driving test (that would be illegal) and instead of putting 2 and 2 together, he decided to start our driving test undermining my personal life.

Fantastic experience: Accomodations are available for Spanish speakers. Pueden hacer su prueba de manejo/ escrita en Español. I highly recommend this place!!

Negative experience: Took my daughter this morning to take her driving test. I let him know we had an appt. He looked at my daughter and asked who she was after answering he very rudely told her she needed to speak for herself. I bit my tongue and she took the driving test. After they got back and he went to get the paperwork she was so upset because he was so rude and condescending to her through the whole process. Its not ok to treat people this way no matter what your personal feelings are. She wont drive now because he completely terrified her during the driving test. This guy is something else and I didn't appreciate how my daughter was treated. If I could give negative stars I would. Go to Delta where they are nicer.

Positive experience: My instructors were very friendly. Although, the man who I took my test with was the rudest person I’ve ever met. I believe his name was Tom he was very unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: I went to this school to obtain my driver's license test. There I met one of the most outstanding instructors named Chad. He was very polite and calming. His instructions at the end of the test were very helpful. If you choose to learn or test from anywhere in Montrose Colorado Ask for Chad he's a really stand up guy!

Negative experience: I waited awhile to post a review. Pretty much the worst experience ever. The older gentlemen was unkind and attempted to belittle me and my younger daughter. Do not use this service. Shame.

Fantastic experience: Awesome school, awesome teachers! Mr Norris is do kind, well mannered, accommodating I can go on and on. My son amd I definetly recommend this school to all. Everyone felt and looked relaxed calm when taking all test and happy smiles. No one was unhappy. I went because my son has a slight dissability so i wanted proffesional help/advice and for best training for my son. Fantastic experience: We live in Cedaredge and two of my girls have gone through this program and both did awesome! Chad was such an amazing help. He let us know the expectations and what exactly we needed to do during both the permit and license process. He even extended his time so my child could get her drive time done without having to make so many trips down from Cedaredge. We truly appreciate the time spent and the true commitment in helping kids drive safe.

Fantastic experience: I had to take the 6 hours of btw driving and the test and I had a wonderful experience. With the 6 hours they were very helpful in telling me what I would be marked off on the test for and they were very friendly. On my last drive I asked to schedule a test too they were able to get me in on the day I was legally able to get my license. On the test the guy let me ask questions before the test. It was $25 for the test but it was worth it because they were able to get me in about a month sooner then the dmv. They were very helpful and was simple to get everything done

Negative experience: Changed $50 for a class for a student to get a permit. Was told since student has a reading disability they would help them pass so they could get their permit. Was not true my student told them at the beginning of class the they needed help. They helped my student at after all others left. Was not told this up front sat in the parking lot for an extra hour and half, the school did not give us information On the test it’s self apparently it cost $11.40 per test SO, to are surprise their was a cost $22.80 pulse $16.80 for the actual permit in which we had And yet again a child hood milestone crushed because you can’t get out correct information.
