Professional Driving School: Reviews

Fantastic experience: Sara, from the Parma Professional Driving School was fantastic with my daughter. She had a previous bad experience with an instructor from another school and was very nervous about driving. Sara made her feel comfortable and confident about driving and she loved all of the lessons.

Negative experience: My instructor, Mr. Hikmet, was an amazing instructor. Very patient and friendly. Definitely reccomend booking with him, he would get 5 stars. However, the ladies at the actual location… so unprofessional and lack to do the one simple job they got. I, just failing my driving test, came in with my instructor to ask about remedial options since I failed (unrightfully so might I add). They looked at me all snobby and pompous like I was stupid and copped an attitude for no reason. Especially the one old white lady with the glasses and ponytail. She needs some serious help. Anyways, book with Mr. Hikmet online. Don’t even bother with the people at the front or on the phone, they lack class and basic kindness apparently.

Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with my experience at the Professional Driving School. Medina (main campus Parma). My son, due to extenuating circumstances, has decided to wait till he turns 18 to take the driver's exam. He had already made payment to Professional Driving School and asked for a refund as no services had been rendered. The school is refusing to give him a refund. Instead, they hide behind the fine print of their policy of no refunds after 6 months. The customer support has been unresponsive and at times smug & rude. I would strongly advise others to steer clear of this company unless you're prepared for frustration and disappointment. Buyers be aware of the fine print. I think it's shameful of a company to take money from teenagers when they have supplied nothing in return.

Fantastic experience: I give this driving school a 5 star rating out of 5. My driving instructor, Nikmet, is a highly experienced instructor. He was very calm, which was helpful for a very nervous student like myself. The office staff was also helpful and responsive whenever I had questions. Thank you very much!

Negative experience: I really liked Rafat as my instructor. Although I made mistakes, he was extremely patient and made me feel at ease. Also I did NOT care for the instructor Mr. Fowler. He was horrible. Stay away from him. He’s horrible and extremely rude. I didn’t pay money to get yelled at. Don’t choose him to teach you how to drive

Fantastic experience: Just spoke on the phone with lady at the office super helpful very upfront about everything and gave me great information on everything about the process great customer service

Negative experience: Super, extremely rude, low paid, no customer service skill workers who try to flex their false sense of “power”. Refused to accept debit card while my daughter was in their office because keying in the card numbers was “too much work”. Insisted she leave to get cash and bring it back or go online to pay. Took months after completing written course before they had availability to do in cars, but they will not tell you that upfront. They force you to pay $458 for in cars before you can even see the in car availability schedule. Did all of this ridiculousness, waited months on them to perform the services they are selling, then my daughter went to take her driving test and didn’t have the certificate of completion. We walked down to the Professional Driving School Office on Snow Rd to ask if they could print it for her. One piece of paper, black and white, no fancy seals or signatures. All smiles, of course they can print it….for TWENTY DOLLARS!!!! One piece of paper. She said that’s the cost to “re-print it”. I pointed out they never printed it once. Totally ridiculous fees and extremely long wait time. Lazy workers. I suggest going to any other driving school. I would not recommend this business to family, friends and not even to enemies. Terrible experience with this business who consistently had shady business practices throughout the entire encounter.

Negative experience: Their driving school is not worth $200. This place is not professional, they just want your money.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE. PARMA LOCATION SNOW ROAD. This might be the worst place I have ever had to deal with. The instructor is a very aggressive, mean, crotchety old man. He goes out of his way to start confrontations with parents and students alike. He even told my son's class that he "could knock any one of them out at anytime". The instructor and the front office blonde haired woman are the rudest and most unorganized human beings ever. Take your teen and your money and PLEASE go elsewhere. I can't believe this place stays in business.

Fantastic experience: Parma Behind the Wheel instructors were always on time, diligent, and had great communication. Main office was helpful and communicated through the portal in a timely manner.

Negative experience: Place is dirty over packed and the instructor was saying weird things like they don't trusted with money but trust me with your kids no we are good

Negative experience: Was driving behind one of their "Studenr Diver" cars on 6/21/23 655pm. Student driving, instructor in passenger seat, another person in back. Going 53 in 35 zone...ran a red light..no blinker in line change. Had I caught up next to the car I would of pulled them over till police got there as instructor had head back. Poor student looked scared to death. Called main office and the lady was super RUDE! Talking over me, screaming...I mean litterly screaming. I hung up and contacted action news station. I don't know who this lady thinks she is. But if one of the owners this company needs to close as it does not have 1st time drivers best interest at heart.

Fantastic experience: This school is amazing I had mr.Larry/Sam as my drivers for north Olmsted and they were amazing and then came to Parma to meet an amazing person that will talk to you and be nice and not get mad about how you drive he helps me do better his name is Hickmet and I love having him. I would recommend the school to anyone

Negative experience: I typically do not give reviews, but this is necessary for parents who are looking to have their high schoolers get their license. The INSTRUCTORS are GOOD! They are more RELAXED and UNDERSTANDING. 2 Stars goes to them! The CUSTOMER SERVICE Reps, the ones at their desk, taking calls or answering your questions is like dealing with emotional reps who are always on the defensive side. Approaching them in any professional way or a kind tone, will make NO DIFFERENCE. There is certainly a LACK of professionalism from reps. I had multiple bad experiences with the reps but one stood out the most. This one was a slim, light tone and dark hair rep. Wish I was able to get her name. My simple question was about a form I did not understood. Her response had a tone attitude, her body language included eye rolling, neck swirling, head shaking ‘no’, and shoulder shrugging. I seriously couldn’t tell if this woman red responding in a condescending way or she actually had a medical condition. I didn’t let it bother me until she changed her approach even more by speaking to me like I was a child that needed to be talked like a clueless individual. At that point I asked if she could speak to me like an adult or if she couldn’t, I would like to speak to someone else. Her tone changed, her head swirling and eye rolling stopped. PARENTS or CUSTOMERS, YOU WILL HAVE TO PUT SOME OF THESE REPS IN THEIR PLACE. SADLY.

Fantastic experience: My son really enjoyed his 2 driving instructors, Hemza and Hickmet. They are very friendly and taught him well. Rick in the office was very friendly and his follow up with me was excellent online. Zero complaints.

Shalon Kandiko 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: The best experience we had was with the instructors. Both Mrs. Heather Zelenka and Mr. Briant Taylor. They are two of the most special people. They went above and beyond for both my girls. My daughter loved Mr. Taylor so much that she cried her last day with him. He is such an amazing soul. I was so blessed to have both of them in my life. As far as the office staff they were terrible, very hard to reach and rude.

Keira Ginka 4 years ago

Negative experience: Instructor Chris was incredibly rude and yelled at me the entire time and made me feel dumb. Not recommended to have him as your instructor for your first time driving.

Mark Reedy 4 years ago

Negative experience: This company is not professional. They are a rip off. They are not up front about the 10 lessons. They don’t tell you that you need to save the last lesson for the driver’s test. We were under the impression we could use their car for the driver’s test. We were we have to pay extra to use their car. The claimed everything is online and it is up to the customers to read the information before accepting their package. They are not up front about saving the last lesson for the driving test. We purchased the Elite package for our son, which is misleading. When speaking to the supervisor Mary Kay she was so rude and the staff was just as rude. Warning find another driving school.

Crystal 0527 4 years ago

Negative experience: This place is the biggest wast of time ever! I call for information and “Deborah” if that is even her name was the rudest, most incompetent & ignorant person I’ve ever had the displeasure to deal with! She has no clue what she is doing or even knows what her company offers.... if you feel like wasting your time, give Debbie a call for the joke she is.

ChaYWazy 4 years ago

Negative experience: So rude! I walked in and wasn’t greeted they just looked and kept doing whatever they were doing. I couldn’t even finish my sentence before they talked over me. This happened multiple times. Unprofessional.

Katiria 4 years ago

Negative experience: Please DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT do business with this place. These are the worst "professional" staff and administrators I've ever had to deal with. They don't care about integrity or professionalism. They will take your money and not provide the service you paid for. I've been getting the run around for the past month. I can't get a supervisor to speak on behalf of their staff and to make matters worst, the staff don't even know the manger's last name. According to one of the staff, "Lena", the manager's name is "Mary Kay" but she is never available or in the office and they don't know her last name or email address. I promise I am not making this up. I can go on, but I hope that anyone reading my review, decide to go somewhere else.

Negative experience: Terrible customer service was giving attitude not professional at all. WOULD NEVER SUGGEST THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!! DO NOT GO HERE! THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY!

Rebecca Ruffin 4 years ago

Negative experience: We encountered the worst customer service possible. Every time we called the employees were rude, hung up, didn't know their own policies. Mailed certificate to the wrong address after signing a paper with the actual address. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Its worth it to go out of your way to find a different and more professional company.

Fantastic experience: Tam Is highly received!, she helped me get the clarification I needed to get my certificate of completion. And she also gave me good tips on what I should do next , and was very consistent thank you so much.

Cassi Yerkey 4 years ago

Negative experience: Please go anywhere else! Worst experience, I have 3 kids and we decided for the last kid to go with this garbage place. Every one I spoke to was extremely rude. They have you run all around to get a certificate to get another certificate just so she can take the test. Hold times just to be treated like you are putting them out is at least an hour. Oh and the old blonde at the Parma location is the absolute rudest person I have ever come in contact with and I work retail! If you like being treated poorly, waiting forever for things that could be sent to you via email and waiting on late instructors then this is the place for you

Negative experience: Super rude staff. Awful instructor. Spelled my daughter's name wrong, twice, on her certificate.

Negative experience: So far not very happy. Was able to schedule class room easy but when it comes to BTW seems impossible. I realize they may be busy, but when the schedule is released and already booked seems odd...we are.looking at least 4 months since first class (and contract days everything should be done in 6 months), not sure what they will do I have several communications.

Negative experience: Awful experience. I called to confirm what to expect for my daughter's driving course prior to making my purchase. The representative told me she would be enrolled in online classes and indicated that there was no current classroom availability. I registered her for the standarfd package, scheduled her classes and never received any proper communication after that other than a receipt. When I tried to log her in to her scheduled class time, there was no link available. I aksed the online help desk and they just said that she was all registered for her classes. I told them I understand that, but needed to link to enter the online classroom. They told me again that she is already registered. This went back and forth for several minutes with the online chat person not understanding my question. Next, I tried to call their phone service. Her class was supposed to start at 9am, but the phone service hours don't start until 10am. How convenient. Apparently there is an after hours answering service, but that just sent me to voicemail. So, I had to cancel her first classroom session and reschedule that, which is very inconvenient for my family with our custody/visitation schedules. After 10am, I got a representative on the phone who told me I need to register her through a separate school that handles the online classes. I tried to do that, but it asked me for payment. I called back and told them I needed a different way to register because I already paid. The representative became very argumentative with me, saying there was no combined class and behind the wheel package. I told her repeatedly that is exactly what the website and the receipt I received through email said. Finally after more back and forth, she said the combined package I purchased (that she was just arguing didn't exist) was for in-person classes, not online and my daughter will have to attend classes at the physical location. This is extremely inconvenient for my family and this whole problem could have been avoided if their representatives actually knew how to answer questions properly. The online chat person had no clue what I was talking about and the receptionist is very rude and doesn't take time to understand the question being asked before blurting out the wrong information and trying to rush you off the phone. Disgusting display of horrible communication. This is not a company I would do business with in the future. I am currently seeking a refund and looking at other options. I may have to use this service out of simple necessity, but if so, I will not make their lives any more pleasant than they have made mine.

Professional Driving School

Sorry to hear about your experience. With everything you have stated you were talking to two different companys and not knowing how the whole drivers education works it made you very frustrated. We post all information on our website available 24/7 and with our high volume of calls the representative tries to take care of each and everyone while keeping wait time down. Our website is set up for the student to enroll and the online course is the responsibility of the student and parent, we don't teach on zoom nor is there a scheduled classroom time for online it is when you choose to do it. We have locations that do face to face teachings and the calendar has the days and times posted. Sounds like the answers you got were to the questions you asked but not the information you needed. When doing online classroom the process is very complicated.

Negative experience: truly terrible, the instructor wasn't very understanding and doesn't give you a second chance if you make mistakes, probably the worst experience i had in the united states.

Sarah Sentman 6 years ago

Negative experience: This is the most unprofessional company I have ever done business with. I paid $300 to learn how to drive and to fulfill the legal requirements to get my license and I have been thoroughly disappointed.

Professional Driving School

As a minor your (legal requirements) the GDL law, requires you to drive a minimum of 50 hours with a parent or guardian, hold your temps for six months and take a drivers education course, all is needed for you to test at the exam station for your drivers license. $300 is for only eight hours of behind-the-wheel with an instructor.

Nicole Li 6 years ago

Negative experience: Just horrible. The driving instructor was 2 hours late so wasted 2 hours of my time. Told me to shut up because he knew everything. Was probably one of the worst instructors I ever had. I would never recommend this driving school to anyone.

Kim Busciglio 6 years ago

Negative experience: My son was scheduled to drive and the teacher canceled one night (no experience on freeways, isnt that your job???!!!) and didnt show the next, never called us back or responded. Verrry disappointed!!!! I called the school and they will find out what happened and call me back, they close in 5 min.

J Davis 7 years ago

Negative experience: This is my knowledge ... they treat their instructors like garbage. I wouldn’t spend one dollar with a company who allows people to be harassed, that doesn’t have the common decency to pick up the phone to call their employees but send them text messages, have them walk home 2 hours after dropping off the company car, have instructors who don't even complete a full in-car and lie on documents and then turn around and ask other instructors pick up their slack, have an instructor who gets out of the car on a back road and teaches a student how to "grind" AND take students paddle boating instead of doing in-cars and yet believe whatever this instructor says about anyone as "true" without any "real" facts. That's right, trust the dishonest instructor and then treat other instructors who actually work 40+ hour work weeks, get nothing but compliments from their students like they are a piece of garbage.
