Fantastic experience: David Yachtis was my instructor for 2 of my on the road driving classes, he made me feel very welcome and comfortable while driving. If I could give 10 stars David would get it.
Negative experience: IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THE NEXT STREET, DONT!!!!!! DMV instructors hate the next street and will not pass anyone that tests there!!!! No value for what you pay for. The lessons are nothing but youtube videos and powerpoint slides on a zoom call. Instructors said 100% ready for test, DMV instructor was so rude to say nowhere near ready. This place is a scam

We’re sorry to hear that you feel this way. We have not received any prior correspondence from you regarding dissatisfaction with your program until now. For context, our pass rate at today’s Wallingford test was 90%, and our annual average is 85%.
We understand it’s disappointing to fail a test, and we sincerely empathize. Maintaining proper speed, without going significantly below or above the speed limit, is a crucial part of safe driving and our curriculum. Driving 10mph below the speed limit can indeed pose safety risks and is considered a valid reason for failure, regardless of the testing location.
Additionally, our retest fee of $150 covers the use of our vehicle and testing services at our location. We understand your frustration and regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. We wish your family all the best and hope your next road test is a success.

Negative experience: The wallingford location is a complete scam for driving tests. Extremely high failure rate (at $150 bucks a pop). Something fishy going on with them and their dedicated dmv tester “Scott.” Was there for several hours and not one kid passed (one kid every fifteen minutes— you do the math) On my kids second test, Scott abruptly changed the route (different than the three routes the company told us he was doing that day) after my kid was doing well on the regular route. They make more money when the kids fail. Go to the DMV.

Negative experience: This place is awful, paying almost 800$ for drivers Ed to then be stuck not being able to schedule any drivers lessons because they don’t have enough availability. The customer service is beyond awful, barley lowers insurance, they don’t teach you anything at all and often times the instructors are very rude. This place SUCKS. Don’t spend your money, go to the shield
