Negative experience: Please stay far away from this school especially if you're paying out of your own money! I applied back in April to go the Joliet location(its run by the same people in Granite City IL). I only attended one day, because it turned out they did not have manual trucks only automatics which wasnt going to workout for me. The instructor told me I had 3 days to ask for my money back no questions asked, which is what I did. My recruiter told me it was going to take 30 days for the money to go back into my back account a total of $5,592.34. Well till this day that I'm writing this review I have not received a dime back. I call and they won't answer phone calls or emails. Its seems like they want to steal your money it's been a total nightmare!!! Update: its been a year since I wrote this review, I had to get a lawyer to fight for my money. Case is still ongoing please stay away from this school. They're thieves Update: 4/9/2025 I have received the judgment in my favor for full refund, and Premier has not responded back to attorney. I will also proceed to making a complaint with the Attorney General of Illinois. This school is the biggest scam.

Negative experience: Terrible

Negative experience: Do not step foot in this school. It's a money grab. All they care about is you paying or signing a contract then could care less. The class before me or atleast what was left of them payed cash thinking they would get trained on a manual then the manual broke down and they was told they had to test with an automatic which means they would be restricted to just driving automatics. The instructor doesn't care and berates students and calls them crackhead and stupid and is senile and can't relate to younger people. The instructor had students from the prior class who hadn't even graduated yet in the truck teaching me maneuvers and other things while he was off doing more important things. Also the yard is full of mud holes and pot holes which makes it impossible to do turns and maneuvers without getting stuck in the mud or bouncing up and down constantly.Gonna see about talking to a lawyer.

Negative experience: Cannot get a hold of anyone. Do not go or have anything to do with the school. Total waste of time.

Fantastic experience: CHUCK BAILEY IS ALL IMA SAY! HE NEEDS HIS OWN COMEDY SHOW! 5 Stars hands down! And to the nice lady Diana thank you for your kindness!

Fantastic experience: I wanted to leave a farewell message and review. This truly was a great experience I’m thankful for Chuck, he has dedication and he will drive you to succeed. He taught me a lot. When I lost confidence he made me go harder. I failed my first test and had to try again, Chuck seen my weaknesses and helped me push myself through. For that I thank Chuck so much. Chris was an awesome state examiner. I felt comfortable the whole time. Thanks again to all the staff and to all future students YOU CAN DO IT.

Fantastic experience: Chuck does an awesome job and helps out in every way possible. He personally cares to make sure you understand and know everything you need too in order pass. He definitely needs some help as one person cant properly teach as many people in a single day as they are asking of him. Would recommend this school though.

Positive experience: Graduated April 12th 2023. Started off with 2 trainers but unfortunately one quit towards my last week. Chuck is a great instructor and did a great job working by himself under short notice. He might yell at you sometimes but that’s only if you’re messing up. I was the only women in my class and still felt very comfortable. I would recommend this school. Thanks Chuck and the ladies in the office as well.

Fantastic experience: Graduated in May of 2022. Chuck was a straight talking teacher. Always willing to answer questions and was very knowledgeable. Leslie more reserved/less outgoing during my training. She always made sure when a mistake was made it was pointed out and corrected. The trainers overall may seem a bit strict, but when you think about it, you are driving a 40 ton machine at 65mph or faster down the road. You can kill someone. Safety was there goal only second to making sure you could pass the CDL test. Been driving a truck since July 2022. Enjoying my job!

Fantastic experience: I just want to say thank you to all the instructors there especially Chuck. You all were good instructors. You were patient and you made my time there easy. Of course you have to apply yourself but once you the students did your part there did their part. Over all I will give my experience a 10/10. I would refer the school to others.

Fantastic experience: If anyone ever asks me on how or where to get their CDLs I was proudly send them to Granite City! Chuck taught me more than just trucking he taught me some life lessons I’ll never forget! Leslie doesn’t say much but she will say just what you need to know and I am FOREVER grateful for them!

I really appreciate the both of them taking the time out and showing me about The important parts to learn about the truck I had a great experience.. I thought Chuck was being mean to me. But he only wants you to succeed so I really appreciate him. I give them all five stars

Negative experience: If i could give them no stars i would because they are not fully hands on with their students and everything you learn you will be basically leraning by yourselves. They are very rude and discriminate against people who they feel aren't worthy of teaching. In my opinion from experience do not go to this facility its a scam to get your money.

Fantastic experience: Chuck and Lesley are great instructor's. They are reasonably patient and tell things like it is. If you go in wanting to succeed they will do their level best to help you. As a bonus they both have pretty good sense of humor. I didn't see the ladies in the office, Kathy and Dana, much but they were helpful and nice each time I have spoken to them.

Fantastic experience: Instructors did a good job, they make you aware of any mistakes and tell you what caused it and how to correct it. They make sure while training that you form good driving habits and do their best to prepare you for the road. Great place to learn.

Fantastic experience: Gene did an amazing job. Our daughter mentioned she appreciated his insights, knowledge of what to expect on the test and his willingness to practice the things she wanted. We feel it was not just a standard six lesson design but rather a tailored lesson plan to what we wanted covered. I highly recommend this company.

Negative experience: Friend of the family attended this facility with more than enough qualification over the peer group accepted. They will block you from succeeding if you decide not to continue education with them. They will make sure you are blacklisted by the state over a drug test and physical cost that they do not make clear to inform you that you are responsible for. Stay clear!!!!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic school. Ron & Bob were great instructors. Class size allows for plenty of hands on practice before testing. If you have a special situation, talk to them. They will do everything they can to work with you.

Fantastic experience: Great instructors from the class room to the road. I highly recommend this school. It's a smaller school so smaller groups so you get more hands on training. Kurt from MTC in Cape is the best, that man has helped me jump start my career couldn't have done it without his advise! Chuck from Premier CDL Training in Granite City is a great guy down to earth if you have any questions he has a answer. Greg and Lesley are the yard and road instructors they will help you in any way so you can understand everything you need to know about getting your CDL. Overall a great school good people I would definitely recommend this school for your CDL training! 5 STARS!!

Fantastic experience: I loved my experience here. I mean, they were patient and dedicated, to all of their students. My trainers were Ron (RIP), and Bruce. You will never forget your experience here. Granite City, IL. was where I got my Cdl training at. Best damn school there is!

Positive experience: The teachers are very knowledgeable and work hard to get you out driving. The only reason I dont give them 5 stars is that they seem very disorganized at times.

Fantastic experience: I started at Premier Truck driving school in Granite City IL as a part timer but took the last 2 weeks off if it wasn't for prayers, friends and family supporting me with encouragement and kind words and the awesome instructors at the school I would have struggled the whole time. It is a lot of information to take in but if you follow there instructions to the "T" you will have no problems. If I had to do it all over again I would choose Premier Truck Driving School all over again.

Fantastic experience: If your getting cussed out you prolly deserve it pssy, I laugh cuzz I'm sure I know who the instructor was! Plus if your getting Butt hurt now you better find a different career. I give 5 stars I had no problems out of them and my school there was 6yrs ago! Nothing but good ppl there!

Fantastic experience: I attended this school and one of the teachers was always cursing us out on the yard while we were messing up while learning how to drive 18 wheelers, but he was written up once the owner found out about it. The other two teachers were genuinely concerned about us learning and passing the course. I actually failed the test my first time, but I had to fight to take the test because Harold said that I was not ready. Apparently he was right! Because I did fail along with the other girl in the class. But I trained for another 3 weeks and got all zero's on the yard test!!! I was super happy with following their expertise. They really do want all their students to pass and will not lie to you. If they say you are not ready, just listen to them....they will make sure you do pass as long as you will stick with them. It took me twice as long to graduate trucking school, but they promised me that they would get me thru and they did. I have nothing but respect for them all because we are all human and have flaws, but what is importantant is keeping attitudes out of the equation and getting thru the course with people who are dedicated to you and want to see you succeed. Negative experience: They have falsely billed me for training that was not completed. I was only allowed to test one time out of three. I now see why I was taken to court. They have to find someone to pay for their bills. Don't go to this truck driving school.

Negative experience: they don't pay their bills to companies that do services for them. We have had to call several times and send invoices to collections in order to get paid for services that our company has provided to Premier CDL training school.
