Cowboy Driving Academy in Yukon

Fantastic experience: Full Disclosure: My son took the in class portion through Mustang High School in July. There was a misunderstanding between my son and the instructor on what else needed to be completed to get the completion certificate. Fast forward to March and my son was ready to take his driving test and we were at a test center in OKC. However, he couldn't test without the certificate. We called the phone number and the phone operator wasn't the best. We were told we needed to go to the Yukon office so we did. The first guy (Sam I believe) looked my son up and clarified that he needed an additional 6 hours of driving time with their instructors before getting a certificate. At that point, I was uncertain if my son was going to be able to get his license anytime soon. Then, Austin (another instructor) called their boss, Matt, to get his input. He told me Matt would call me later that day to get the drives set up and they would also do the driving test for my son. Later that day, Matt called me and was very professional and helpful. He was determined to get the driving times and test completed as quickly as possible. In less than two weeks (we were out of state for spring break for several days) we got everything done and my son got his license! Pros: Austin was super helpful and a wonderful driving instructor. Matt was a blessing and made sure we got taken care of after the misunderstanding over the summer. I highly recommend this driving school! Cons: I think they should have a better telephone system. The operator couldn't connect me to anyone else. That part was very frustrating.

Fantastic experience: My driving test instructor Will was amazing and I passed!!

Negative experience: First drive scheduled for today and they were a no show. Tried to call the office to see if there was a misunderstanding but no one answers even though office says they open at 9am. Went to the office too but no one is there. The drive was supposed to start two hours ago but still haven't heard from anyone. Revised 10/29 - We received a call on Monday when the office opened. We were given another drive in addition to the drive we missed with an explanation but still not a firm understanding of why we didn't get a phone call. Not cool. We were also told that the office is closed on Sunday but the door says differently.

Negative experience: Pésimo servicio lo único que quieren es dinero para llenar sus bolsillos hoy cancelaré la sita de mi esposa para sus lecciones y creo iré a otra escuela mejor donde tengan un mejor servicio prefiero perder mi dinero que perder el tiempo con esta gente definitivamente no vengan aquí enserio no vengan

Negative experience: Extortionists, called and emailed to cancel a drive and were still charged $75 and would not let my son do his rescheduled drive until the $75 was paid, called female receptionist to resolve the issue since we have documentation of the notice of cancellation and she was rude and and unwilling to acknowledge the email and phone call

Negative experience: Don't waist your money taking your teens here.

Fantastic experience: I have nothing but good things to say about my driving instructor Brock. He was nothing but helpful throughout the entire process, and is extremely knowledgeable about how the system works. He was extremely patient with me even when I made a mistake and always stayed calm. I would 100 percent rececommend asking for Brock if your somebody who gets nervous easily. Never once did he make me feel like I wasn't capable of achieving my independence. He in fact was the exact opposite and encouraged me and made me believe that I could accomplish getting my driver's license.

Negative experience: Never been there but warning people.This place needs to stop using neighborhood parked cars and private driveways for practice.They are awful teachers and if I find you blocking my car again I will call my lawyer.

Negative experience: Customer service overall, is ABSOLUTELY horrible! Stephen in the a Yukon office stays on his phone while the students drive and he only teaches “stay straight”. I chose this place over Browns because I saw they offered more. It just seems to be more expensive with less constructional teaching. The positive was the classroom experience my teen was able to tell me good information learned. Also there was an older gentleman who helped my son with a couple of things. Taking all this into consideration it was still a horrible experience overall. I wish I could get a partial refund (partially only because I understand that it is a business) they must do better!! Hire more people with tenure, patience and knowledge of how to communicate effectively with customers. Lastly I believe this place is only open because people won’t take the time to write reviews to warn others for them to KEEP THE teens THEY LOVE away from places that don’t care about the care of those you care for!

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible. Samual is one of the most unprofessional people who hates his job. He reschedules constantly for everything. To the point we had to call their main office for a new instructor which they didn't give us. Upon another lesson with Samuel, he was completely on his phone, not paying attention. Rude, raising his voice and telling he didn't care If we continued here or not. Then tried to refuse giving us a manager number. NEVER COME HERE. Will continue to raise this up until Samuel never has traumatize another person trying to learn

Fantastic experience: Great place to learn.

Negative experience: Was bringing groceries in from my home when a student driver car came up to the front of my home and begun practicing parallel parking without permission in front of my car. Not only did they get extremely close to hitting my car, not once did they ever roll their window down to explain what they were doing or ask for permission to do it, the only reason has two stars is because they didnt hit my car. No insurance, phone numbers or information was shared with me in case they should hit my car, extremely unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: This driving school taught a lot of good principles for driving! Both of my instructors were entertaining and very informative! We did eat lunch for 10$ each day, but there were complimentary snacks and drinks in the back. I highly recommend a lot of these people are ex police officers and are very informed.

Fantastic experience: Passed my driver's exam today. Highly recommend Cowboy Driving Academy. They train you not only to be an efficient driver, but a safe driver. I appreciate all the wisdom that they imparted into me. This was definitely an investment! Thank you Cowboy Driving Academy!

Fantastic experience: This is by far the best driving school. We have used another one in town and it was NOT even close to what my 2nd son received (information wise as well as being taught by retired state troopers) versus what my 1st son was taught by random people and videos! You pay for what you get and I prefer for my boys to be taught by men and women who has actually been on dangerous accidents and really drill the importance of driving carefully and how the car is a weapon and you must be cautious. Yes, my next son will be attending Cowboy Driving Academy!

Fantastic experience: Very informative and they have experperts in all categories(including former law enforcement and crash investigators) such as basic driving safety to CDL info, trailer load rating and clearance, ect. Glad our company attended.

Fantastic experience: BEST DRIVING SCHOOL EVER! I came in to take my test after a HORRIBLE experience at the DMV and boy do I wish I came here sooner! I recommend getting the one hour prep package! Within that time of practice my instructor Matt helped me so much and I thank him for helping me pass and getting my drivers license. Thank you Matt! :]

Fantastic experience: This was a great experience for my son in taking his driver's test. I booked online requesting an appointment and they called me that evening to get scheduled for the next day...a rarity in the testing and license business for youth today. They have a variety of package options. We selected he package that took my son on a 2 hour practice drive before he took the test, so he was warmed up and could ask any last minute questions for his test. He went into the test with confidence and passed with a high score!

I got 1 hour of practice time with a licensed instructor that helped me work out the last few kinks and the test was not even 15 min!
