Negative experience: I intend on filing a complaint with the BBB against JayJay Driving School due to unethical and coercive business practices by Ester, who I now firmly believe is a con artist. Earlier today, I went to their office to retrieve my 5-hour course completion certificate, which was issued by Revolution Driving School. However, Ester outright refused to give it to me. I initially purchased a package of 10 or 11 driving lessons. I have not attended my last three scheduled lessons, and I informed Ester that I no longer wished to continue with JayJay Driving School as I had found another driving school in Manhattan. At this point, she demanded that I pay a cancellation fee for each missed lesson and further claimed that, since I did not complete the full package, the price per lesson would be recalculated at a higher rate. Because of this, she insisted that I pay an additional $7 before she would release my 5-hour course certificate--a document that rightfully belongs to me. During this exchange, Ester asked to see my learner's permit, and once in her possession, she refused to return it despite my repeated demands. I had to scream at her multiple times before she finally relented and gave it back. However, she is still unlawfully withholding my 5-hour course certificate. To further escalate the situation, Ester later approached my mother and deceitfully claimed that I now only needed to pay $75 in cancellation fees--a completely different amount than what she originally demanded. This bait-and-switch behavior is another example of her fraudulent business tactics. Adding to the harassment, while I was in the office, a Hispanic male physically blocked the door, preventing me from leaving. Their tactics are nothing short of intimidation and extortion. I strongly warn anyone considering this driving school to stay away. Their entire operation is riddled with scam tactics, coercion, and outright theft. This was a disgusting experience, and I will be pursuing further action to ensure that this business is held accountable.

Negative experience: Terrible experience 10/10 do not recommend this place has so many hidden fees it’s crazy they cancelled my appointment then told me I had to pay them 30 on top of what I paid for the actual course this is insane they basically robbed me and now won’t do anything unless I pay them for an appointment they cancelled

Negative experience: Would NOT recommend! Wasted $350 on a package and had classes with a guy that’s falling asleep while giving the lessons. Failed the road test & received and email saying “congratulations! We’re sorry to hear you failed don’t give up”. Now they raised their prices. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! BTW the 5 star review from “Esther Mateo” is a worker or owner of the place. DO NOT TRUST THEM! THEY SEEM NICE BECAUSE THEY WANT YOUR MONEY! THEY DO NOT CARE!

Negative experience: Rude and incompetent teacher has no idea how to teach. For the price you could easily find a better, more sensible teacher

Negative experience: Receptionist is very unprofessional. Poor customer service she was rude & dismissive! Arguing pointing at me through the glass! I called to change my days of my driving lesson and she said there nothing available for me there was no flexibility available at all then when I asked for my refund she say I should’ve asked to change my days but she clearly told me there’s nothing available. She kept on contradicting herself & blaming me for her own mistake !

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with jay jay driving school. I took 5 lessons prior to my road test and I passed the first try. Thanks to Edwin my instructor who was extremely patient with me and made me confident enough on my road test.

Fantastic experience: As soon as you walk in to schedule lessons, Esther was beyond amazing. She made sure everything was prepared. Took 10 lessons and I enjoyed each and every one of them. My Driving Instructor Edwin is the best! He explained everything so well that you will feel so comfortable with him. He has lots of patience overall best of the best!! I learned a lot from him which resulted in me passing my driver’s test just in one try! I Highly recommend this driving school to everyone, their service is beyond great. I will definitely will be sending friends to take their driving classes here.

Fantastic experience: From the moment you come in to schedule lessons, Esther was beyond amazing to help me w/ Schduling & made sure everything was prepared. Schduling here is very flexible & lessons w/ Edwin were the best! Edwin was also excellent in every lesson I took & I learned a lot from him which resulted in me passing my driver’s test! 10/10 recommend this driving school to everyone, their service will go above & beyond to make sure you will get your license!

Negative experience: I found the receptionist very rude and dismissive! She was busy talking to someone and I felt she was actually shooing me away . I want to learn driving and found this school close to me but I just don’t want to now because of the front desk person. I’d rather go to a more welcoming place .

I don't understand the negative comments about the receptionist. She's really nice. Moving forward I recommend this driving school to every single person that lives close by.

Fantastic experience: Cesar was an excellent instructor. They sent email reminders for appointments (so I never missed one ;) and worked hard to get me the first 5 hr course via zoom held in the area after the coronavirus shut down. I passed the road test first try.

Fantastic experience: I had a positive experience with JayJay Driving School and my instructor Leo. I booked the 15 class package with road test and the school/receptionist was very accommodating with my requests to do many classes per week and occasionally to do back to back lessons. In the end, I passed my road test first time and I feel confident as a driver - I can't ask for any more. Thanks!

Negative experience: The front desk receptionist was rude and dismissive. She pretended we weren’t even there when I wanted to ask for information. I asked how much the clases were and she pointed at a flyer -__- I don’t know what kind of service ignores new costumers... definitely not using these services.

Negative experience: It’s suppose to open at 9am. Yet it’s 9:30am I’m at the door (because they asked me the previous day to come earlier for class) and it’s close. Second time this happened when I spent a whole morning trying to call them to reschedule a class, and no one picked up the phone for 2h. But I guess it’s the cheapest option.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time taking driving lessons and a road test... these guys made me feel so comfortable. For a first timer they were really helpful, answered all my questions and made my learning experience easy and comfortable. I went with one of their packages that included the 5 hour, 5 lessons and the road test with the car included. Before the test I picked up two more lessons, one that was two weeks before and the other the day before the test. I passed on my first time around!!!! I’m so excited, I can’t thank you guys enough !

Negative experience: Did not like the service, because i walked in for the first time ever and the Receptionist was on a Personal phone call on her cell and i said i'm here to Get inf. In the 5 lessons classes she replied, what, what, what you want to Know everything you need to know is that flyer and you not going to get Any class until about a month, We work by appointments only. I said i'm Here to pay for my driving classes and she said well you not getting any Class until about a month, it was about 2 pm on 5/22/2018. I walked out And did not booked any class because her tone of voice and her bad Attitude. I fell very upset.

Fantastic experience: I had my experience driving for a while but of course when prepping to receive your license there are things the ordinary driver should avoid. My instructor leo prepared me with three classes and I passed my exam on the first try! Of course I was nervous but I remained calm and kept his advice in my head while I was testing

Positive experience: The staff are really helpful and the instructor always tries to help you in where you're making errors and all you have to have in mind is to never give up and stay positive. Remember that the more you practice, the more chance you'll have to pass your driving test, so keep it up, good luck and with God everything will be fine.

Negative experience: Lady at the front desk is rude and the instructor barely makes you park and make u-turns, he isnt thorough either.

Negative experience: I Find It Very Unprofessional How Guys Claim To Open Up At 9am And I'm Standing In Front Of Your Business As I Write This Review At Exactly 9:30am An You Guys Are Closed. This Very Bad For Business And You Guys Need To Be On Time. Today Is Not A Holiday Or Anything Of That Sort. You Guys Should Give Your Customers A Heads Up For Future Notice.

Fantastic experience: It took 2 attempts to pass my road test, with 12 lessons in total. The staff are very friendly and patient. Ask for Leo ! He's a really good instructor. I had the same instructor for every lesson, and the same car for the lessons and road test. Just expect a 2 month waiting list for a road test if you're renting their car, but it was wort it. Ask to take the road test in red hook, as the streets are very similar to bushwick, with narrow roads etc.

Negative experience: I was not very happy with the school. The class started in time, but the instructor was too much to the point. He did not try to understand the difficulties I was facing, just went on with the class, did not clarify my doubts properly. Was always in a rush and did not help me much. Even when we went for road test, the lady from the staff was on phone throughout and was not courteous enough to be with the student.
