Fantastic experience: This is a very organized driving school and my son was comfortable with the course and in person driving. They definitely prepared them for getting a license.

Positive experience: They did a good job of getting my son through the process. My only complaint is that he finished his last drive and observation less than two weeks from his birthday, and it takes up to two weeks for the Secretary of State to get the information uploaded. We are hoping that there will not be a problem getting his license on his actual birthday.

Fantastic experience: Grateful this driving school opened a location near us. We had previously used another company and did not have a great experience so were ready for another long several months with our second new driver. Much to our surprise and happiness, Excel exceeded our expectations. The enrollment process is easy, the timeline was clearly mapped out on our web portal, scheduling was straightforward, the final documentation was submitted very quickly and their customer service was very responsive and friendly when we had questions. Highly recommend.

Positive experience: Company is professional and walks you thru the whole process. The class times for the coursework were convenient with plenty of space and were flexible with make-up days. The Driving classes took a lot longer than expected, they are booked with weeks in lead time. The only way around for us was to take my daughter out of school several times to do a 3:00pm appointment so she could finish the actual driving courses within a month's timespan. They are good but busy so plan ahead.

Fantastic experience: My daughter's instructor, Ms. Colleen, was absolutely fantastic. We used the Palos Hills location. I have been recommending Excel to everyone. Worth every penny!

Fantastic experience: My twins both took lessons from here, and it was a great experience. The classroom portion was more engaging than most, and the behind the wheel instructors were great as well. We had experience with both Mike and Bill, and both were patient, kind and helpful. We also chose to take advantage of the newly offered driving test, and their examiner Mark was tough (in a good way) and helpful when it came to the rest of the process. I also have to say good things about the customer service, as they could not have been more helpful! I left every call feeling like everything was solved for me. I've run out of kids, or we'd be back :)

Fantastic experience: My son had Mr. Bill for his behind the wheel lessons. He can't say enough good things about him. He always comes back from his drive with a smile on his face. I just want to thank Mr. Bill for actually caring and putting him at ease.

Fantastic experience: Nothing but IMPRESSED with Excel. We had to change schools due to the other schools lack of availability in driving times. Excel went out of their way to help with scheduling and understood my sons tough schedule with football and helped me work around that. Highly Recommend!

Fantastic experience: Our family has used Excel Driving School for both of our teen sons. Excel has the best drivers instructors. The teachers made our boys very comfortable learning how to drive. Our instructors were Steve, Kirk, and Joe in the south Naperville location.

Fantastic experience: I signed my daughter up 1 year before her 16 Birthday so she would have driving experience in ever weather climate before she got her driver's license. The class was online due to the pandemic. I sat in on some classes so I would know what she was learning and it was fantastic! The teacher was thorough and so positive and encouraging. My daughter was engaged the whole time since she had to be responsible for answering "quiz" questions throughout the class to be sure she was paying attention. When it came to driving instruction, she was met each time by Cherms. He was always kind and encouraging each time she drove. Cherms was so good at teaching my daughter applicable rules of the road in real time. He never made her nervous. In fact, it was the opposite. He would tell stories that would put her at ease and encouraged her good driving skills the whole time. I had another child learn through Excel and I would do it again ever time. Excel is an amazing way to learn. Their instructors are knowledgeable, professional and overall outstanding in every way. Thank you Excel for such a good experience.

Fantastic experience: School did such a great job on still holding class and doing the driving sessions during the pandemic. My child loved it and look forward to having my second child to go through excel when he's off age.

Fantastic experience: The Pandemic hit in March of 2020 and schools closed which meant no drivers Education classes for teens turning 16th in 2021. This was an important milestone in my daughter's life. I wanted to help lessen the impact of this unprecedented times in our world. So after research I found out that students needed to have their driving permit for 9 months well if there will be no driver's education from March 2020 until it did resume January 2021 this was not what my daughter wanted to understand. She turns 16 in May 2021. Well huge thanks to Excel Driving School and all their selfless dedicated staff their commitment to our children in the community was beyond reproach. I personally experience Excel Driving School provide support, teaching the curriculum at a high level of expectation for our children. Full services were offered and the staff was on time for every stage. We were giving good instructions for each stage of the driving and educational process to meet state requirements. My daughter was able to enter the summer program at excel and also took advantage of the instructor driving time which ensure that she was ready behind the wheel. Yes I did my part the scary part driving with my daughter who I think listens to everyone else better than she does me at least when it comes to driving. Let me be honest I am not the best teacher for this stage of her life. I think my anxiety is to much watching her not but seem to me to almost hit the car I front or the curb on our passenger side of the road. Well I think you get my point. Yes I give huge thumbs up to Excel for helping our family achieve this important mile stone. Mr. Joseph Sitzman he was the behind the wheel instructor for my daughter. If he is available get him he is the best trust me he has the patient's of Job!! My daughter gained so much confidence behind the wheel due to the encouragement and constructive feedback she received from him. She passed her final drive with Mr. Roy Cruz on the 1st round. The class instructors prepare them very well for the written secretary of state exam. If it something you can manage in the family budget I recommend Excel Driving School. I am so glad we did it. Side bar it was a huge challenge getting my then 15 yr old to see the value in summer school online early wakeup to log in but parents flex your authority they can do it and this is a win win for the family!!
