Coastline Academy Driving School - Mansfield

Negative experience: Driving program is ok but when you get ur certificate it is noted that u still need to take the driving computer test at the Texas Dept of Public Safety and per the rep we talked to “you took this online course for nothing then bc it’s supposed to waive the driving test. That is literally the point. You could have come in and just paid the $33 and taken our test. You didn’t need their program “ So basically other than doing maybe on road lessons . This program is a waste of money.

Fantastic experience: Coastline took care of us when our original driving school closed without warning. Scheduling with Coastline was easy, the instructors were great and the whole process was easy and simple. Thank you for taking our son and helping us get his license.

Fantastic experience: Everything about this driving school is awesome! When our school closed down due to unforeseen circumstances, Coastline reached out to us to pick up where we left off! My daughter has given countless feedback that she loves this school and wish we started here!

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible service. They did not honor their clearly worded email instructions and were forcing us to purchase another package even though we’d already paid. The customer service was terrible and I would never recommend this company - and I have two more drivers to go!

Fantastic experience: Normally I don't like to leave reviews, but,we have had a wonderful and positive experience with coastline line academy driving school.I do apologize in advance for the long review.Myteen son has been doing his driving lessons here after his previous driving school closed.The transition was smooth, excellent communication and it was easy to schedule his driving lessons. Everyone has been friendly,courteous and respectful. All the questions I had were answered in a timely manner.The student driver instructor Mr.Williams, is awesome, very patient and friendly. I can see the confidence and improvement in my son. One thing I love is the lesson summary,giving you a detailed breakdown of the driving performance. Plus, the excellent communication. Overall great driving school.

Fantastic experience: Our experience with Coastline has been great. It is very convenient that the instructors are able to meet at your house, and so nice that you are able to schedule the lessons with a friend. The instructors have been professional and provide you with a detailed driving report after each session. I would definitely recommend!

Positive experience: I enrolled my son in Coastline Academy’s one-on-one driving lessons and everything was good. Within a year, I decided to use them for my daughter’s 7-7 lessons and our experience has been completely different. We have had a couple of lessons scheduled for us, that we didn’t schedule. It has been difficult to get lessons because they have to be paired with someone else at the same time and it appears there are only 2 drivers in our area, which is a large metroplex. Today, my daughter’s 2-hour lesson was cut short by about 10 minutes because the driver had another lesson in another city. He decided it would be a good idea to leave my daughter and the other student at Target until both parents arrived. This is not acceptable. If he had explained the situation upon drop-off or during the lesson, the students could have called parents to let us know to be early. I am extremely disappointed . ****2/28/24***IFollow-up to my previous post. I was able to speak with someone at Coastline Academy and appreciate them listening and understanding the danger involved in the situation that occured last weekend. I also appreciate them acknowledging their error in response to my post and making changes so that this doesn't happen to another student.***

Fantastic experience: Very professional, my instructor Ken was always very clear and specific on what I needed to do or improve upon. He was also very polite and friendly, letting me feel comfortable being on a drive with him. As for the school itself, it always felt extremely easy and convenient to book an appointment at exactly the time I needed. The option to meet an instructor at a location was also very helpful.

Fantastic experience: Coatsline has been instrumental in getting my son on the path to becoming a successful driver. We're on lesson 5 and feel very good about his progress thus far. Charles is a fantastic instructor who puts our son at ease while at the same time instilling proper driving techniques. We especially appreciate Coastline meeting at our home for the lessons. What a time saver this is!

Fantastic experience: Very nice and informative folks; I am 26 years old and I really wanna learn to drive, and they are very patient and understanding as well as willing to answer any questions. I actually was even driving on the road on my first lesson! It's a very positive experience to be able to learn so much in a day. Will recommend to anyone who is looking to learn to drive.

Fantastic experience: It was very easy and convenient to book a lesson with Coastline. However, the highlight of the entire experience was Stephen the instructor. He was patient and jovial but also conducted the lesson with great attention to detail and ensured safety on the road was the takeaway point. Fantastic experience: We had a really great experience with Coastline Academy; from scheduling the classes to till the end of sessions. Nancy was very helpful with scheduling. Ken was very supportive and patient while my son put his foot on pedal for the first time; my son learned very quickly and he really enjoyed the sessions. Thank you all for helping my son.

Fantastic experience: So happy I chose this company. Mr. Jarvis was so patient with my daughter. My daughter was so nervous at first, but by attending Coastline Academy, she grew more confident every driving lesson. I highly recommend this Driving School to teenagers that are learning to drive.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended! I wish I could give 10 stars to Mrs. Patrice D! I passed my driving test at the first try. I was having troubles to learn driving as I just moved to the United States. I have no one to practice driving with. I went to other driving school before but it didn’t work for me and ended up doubting my driving abilities. I took 5 private behind the wheel lesson with Mrs. Patrice D. She took me to places in Fort Worth downtown and Arlington which I have never been to. Having lessons with her was like a stress relief and so much fun. I built a lot of confidence. I have two friends who also took lessons with her and they also passed the test on first try. I saw that she loves her job and has a lot of respect on it. She’s always kind and patient. Grab your chance to learn with her! You’ll never regret.

She has some life long pointers that will keep her a safe defensive driver. Communication was excellent and the staff was very flexible when booking times. An excellent experience all around.

Fantastic experience: I am an overseas driver from New Zealand and needed driving instructions to suit Texas/US driving requirements. Denton driving school the management and my instructor did an amazing job to help me achieve my goal to get the licence. They went out of their way to schedule, and the instructions were delivered in a precise thoroughly knowledgeable and also with a sense of humour and camaraderie. This school singlehandedly helped me to settle down to a lifestyle that I knew enjoyed previously, being able to be independent- having access to a vehicle and driving to places. Fantastic experience: I didn’t know much into driving going in a year ago, but being able to pick my instructor and having a trusting bond with them really helped me grow to trust myself in driving. I’ve always had a fear of driving and with my instructor she made good conversation that it distracted me so I could drive without any anxiety.

He has been very calm and patient with her, and helped her improve many of her driving skills.
