Fantastic experience: This is the school you need to be the best of the best I got my CDL A license in 5 weeks where I took 1 week off all the instructors are awesome

Fantastic experience: At the age of 27, not knowing what I wanted to do with my life and being a bit intimidated by the thought of driving anything bigger than your typical pick up truck, Canandaigua Driving School changed that for me. And they changed that quickly. I had no prior experience before I signed up for their Class A program and it has been an absolute pleasure working with every single instructor. They take their time to teach and coach you, they believe in your skills even when you don’t. I graduated in just 5 weeks there and feel more comfortable than I ever could have imagined. A huge thank you to all of the support and knowledge I gained from everyone at the school. I look forward to what this new journey will bring me!

Fantastic experience: I started my journey on March 3, 2025, and ended that fantastic journey on April 1, 2025 with my new upgraded CDL Class-B license. Nothing but thanks from the wonderful staff there. Very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Leaving there I feel more comfortable and confident with my Pre-Trips, and any B-class vehicle I’ll be driving in the future. Hands down the best schooling in upstate NY, if not the state. It gets my stamp of approval! 100% recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic experience: Definitely recommend Canandaigua Driving School for your CDL license requirements. Passed my CDL- B the first try a couple days over three weeks. All the instructors are very friendly, informative and helpful. I not only came out of the school with a CDL license, I made connection that will stick with me for a life time.

Fantastic experience: I took the under 21 program here and my 340 hours were well spent with the people here, great people id add. Very thorough at teaching useful methods of doing certain things in a truck and the most helpful driving school.

Fantastic experience: Got my class A in five weeks, instructors are very thorough and walk you through everything on the test so your prepared when you get there. You get all the practice you need through pre trip, maneuvers, and on the road driving, would highly recommend to anyone looking to get their class a or b license on the first try. Also had a lot of fun while learning in class

Negative experience: I have to say the Instructors were amazing with my son. But the office staff scheduling was awful. I had to reach out two separate times (a week apart) to have my son’s road test scheduled. The day of the test, obviously excited, his amazing instructor picks him up - only to find out the scheduler back at the office had booked the road test for the day before. So the DMV turned him away. This scheduler called me to say it’s happened before and must be a “glitch” with the DMV. Well I called and it’s no glitch it’s sloppy work. So not only did he disappoint a kid who’s been so excited and ready for this test, he wasted the instructors time that could have been spent working with someone else. Again - instructors are amazing, office staff needs a lot of clean up. At over $500 for these lessons you think the scheduling of the test date would be communicated accurately. - Extremely disappointed.

Fantastic experience: This driving school is top notch. They know exactly what you need to know when it comes to passing your road test and teach you accordingly. The instructors are great people to work with. If I ever decided to upgrade. I’ll most definitely go back to this school. Passed my road test on the first attempt. Thanks to everyone at this school.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this driving school. Everyone I came in contact with was so amazing and welcoming. I am a grown adult who was battling with some really bad driving anxiety. I let the manager, Romeo know this and he made sure I had the best instructors. Emily, Al, and Joan were all so wonderful. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend the Canandaigua Driving School for anyone in need of getting their driver’s license mainly in the Monroe/Ontario County area. A member of the driving school will drive to your home (so long as you are in the area). They will get you experience behind the wheel from the first lesson and walk you through what you need to know (such as K turns and parallel parking) to pass your road test. They will pinpoint your strengths and weaknesses as a driver as you work towards setting up your road test. I came out a better and stronger driver thanks to them. I am now a licensed driver and look forward to starting a new chapter in my life now that I have passed my road test, which really is a rite of passage. I can’t recommend the Canandaigua Driving School enough.

Romeo was extremely helpful throughout the process of lessons, five hour course, and all things needed for the road test. Fantastic experience: From the start to the end , my experience here was great from the beginning to the end . Starting with Romeo he was supportive and enabling with the sign up/ initial process for me to peruse my time at the school, you could tell the atmosphere you were getting into from the get go from his character . During My 160 Hour program I learned a lot from their regime / routines and techniques taught that enabled me to achieve my CDL A. The instructors are friendly and kind yet disciplined and thoughtful ( PS to Steve, Dave, Bill, Cliff and Chrissy) treated every student with respect . It was like a family here , I always looked forward in attending my sessions . My time here at the school will always be monumental in my memories

The driving instructors (Al & Emily) were knowledgeable, experienced, kind, and approachable. Positive experience: My experience at Canadaguia driving school was very good had it’s up and downs ofc but everything in life does. I must say it flew by very quick I obtained my cdl CLASS A in 5 weeks.The instructors were very great.btw Krissy is bad A$$ but she is also very knowledgeable just shut up and listen!!!. Bill aka mr rippities is a jokester and also very knowledgeable. Fantastic experience: I have been in this driving school around 5 weeks as a part time student. From start to finish, the entire experience was top-notch. First and foremost, the instructors (Steve, Frank, Dave, Bill and Krissy and other two instructors)at Commercial Driving School are incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. They have years of experience in the industry and it shows in their teaching methods. They were able to break down complex concepts and make them easy to understand. They were patient, supportive, and always willing to answer any questions I had. The training program itself was comprehensive and well-structured. It covered all the necessary topics, from basic driving skills to advanced maneuvers and safety procedures. The hands-on training was particularly valuable, as it allowed me to practice what I had learned in a real-world setting. The school also provided access to modern and well-maintained vehicles, which made the learning process even more enjoyable. One aspect that stood out to me was the emphasis on safety. Commercial Driving School takes safety very seriously and it was evident throughout the entire program. They taught us not only how to drive safely, but also how to handle emergency situations and prevent accidents. This focus on safety gave me the confidence I needed to become a responsible and skilled commercial driver. Overall, my experience at Commercial Driving School was exceptional. The instructors, the training program, and the support provided were all top-notch. Negative experience: No idea who is in charge of driver routes at this company, but driving down 96 in Victor going 30 MPH under the speed limit is ridiculous. Then the driver goes to take a right turn and has to do a 5 point turn to even make the turn. Im all for learning to drive truck but this is just unreal

Fantastic experience: This place is excellent the staff krissy ,Fred ,Dave and Bill are all pros at what they do and are Genuine good people they get straight to business. I just graduated and I passed my test on the first try just by absorbing all of the training and Knowledge these people offered there was a few days I had to have tougher skin then normal nothing a snickers couldn’t take care of I wouldn’t recommend any other place but here if you’re looking to actually learn something and get your CDL give Sam a call and get the ball rolling it’s nothing to it but to do it !!

Go beyond to make sure you pass your test and learn something they are great People the facility is clean , accommodating Space and also the trucks are clean nice and up-to-date. Fantastic experience: I just graduated today. The instructors are top notch and very knowledgeable. The important thing is to listen to what they are saying and apply it. Negative experience: They are racially biased at the school they favor the students that look like them the professor yells and screams and her lack of communication the bosses obviously let her do what she wants to do we’re paying all this money and I think they’re trying to push him out because he’s black. At this point I just want my husband took it out of the school I wish we knew this before he started going here their trucks never work they only have one working vehicle most of the time with all the students that they cannot accommodate they are sabotaging people of color.

Fantastic experience: I was able to obtain my CDL B license through Canandaigua Driving School and I wouldn't have gone anywhere different to do so. Their team of instructers are very thorough and flexible. They were willing to stay after and take the extra time to get me the practice that I needed so I could fine tune my skills for the road test. I would highly recommended their driving school to anyone who is looking to obtain a license.

Negative experience: The instructor would not wear a mask in the car and my 16 year old was not confident enough to speak up. I feel this instructor put my entire family's health and safety at risk and should potentially go to jail. Also, he apparently felt it was appropriate to try to convert my daughter to Christianity. He told my daughter "he gets complaints all the time" for doing this, so he is either the owner, or the owners support this behavior. The instructor was a vocal Trump supporter, anti-vaxer and anti-masker. But, if you're into all that, then this is the place for you.

Negative experience: Some old man Did not put the date on my 5 hour course and made it so i had to do it all over again. Then when I came for free I had to sign the paper at least three different times because he can’t get my paper right. But everyone else’s was perfectly fine.

Fantastic experience: Best place in upsate NY to get your CDL... the very best instructors in the industry with years and years of experience. I recomend it!

Negative experience: This place is horrible! I hate to even give them 1 star! The employees blame and twist facts and flat out LIE! I’m surprised their rating on here even surpasses a 3! I could go on with more information but this place deserves NO more of my energy, I’m DONE!

Fantastic experience: Starting my cdl class next week, hopefully I will do well

Negative experience: For whatever reason their driving "inscrutors" are incapable of showing up on time. This is only my second lesson and I'm stuck waiting twenty minutes after the time they were suppose to be here. I called the depot twice and no one bothered to answer, I have no clue if the "instructor" will even show up today. The first lesson the "inscrutor" was 15 minutes late and I had to call the depot to find out if he was even coming at all. I literally paid 390$ dollars for these lessons and so far they've not only been late but wildly underwhelming. I have an extremely busy schelude and do not have the time to sit around waiting for them to do their freaking jobs! Absolute waste of money!
