Fantastic experience: I was part of the April 2025 class. All the instructors here at Kaizen truly want you to become a better driver no matter what your skill level. We had people with no track experience all the way to people who race and just wanted a refresh. None of the drivers felt out of place. All of us left the school better no matter our skill level. For me who never raced wheel to wheel, their method of progression for the two days had me racing wheel to wheel at the end. I was not nearly the fastest but it didn’t matter I was doing it safely and at speed. This is a great experience!

Fantastic experience: I feel very fortunate to have found the Kaizen team, they are wonderful people! Having never been on a track I started out with 2 days of private lessons and later attended the Kaizen racing school. The entire experience was top notch, and the program is very well thought out which made going very fast in a race car quite comfortable I'm looking forward to continuing this journey into racing cars with Kaizen in my corner.

Fantastic experience: I was fortunate enough to do the Kaizen racing school in April of 2024. Prior to this school I had very little racing experience (one autox) and zero wheel to wheel racing experience. The classroom lessons perfectly explained what I needed to do with the car, then on-track drills drove those lessons home. I learned enough to be able to keep up with a Ginetta for a few laps!! Overall this school was transformative for me. I am 10x more confident in my and my car's abilities. I cannot emphasize enough how excellent this school is, and how much I recommend it to everyone who is willing to listen. Thank you to Peter and the rest of the crew!! I'll see you on track soon!

Fantastic experience: I did the 2-day advanced school with a 3rd day on the full course at VIR. Kaizen provides a lot of seat time and "real" racing situations that other schools won't provide. Day 1 was primarily skid pad, autocross, classroom and track walk. Day 2 provided tons of seat time on South Course and racing situations at the end of the day. Day 3 introduced the VIR Full Course with plenty of seat time and opportunities to run as fast as you dared. They offer a unique experience and they do a great job of delivering proper instruction, both in the classroom and on the track. This school will test you. The environment allows to you find your limit if you are seeking that challenge. It is an immersive school that prepares you to race.

Fantastic experience: Attended the 3 day school that began on 9/17/23. Cannot say enough good things about the entire Kaizen Autosport team. I learned a ton, had more track time than expected, and even the little things like drinks and snacks were covered. Guest instructor Tommy Milner shared insights that an amateur racer may otherwise take years to learn. Whether you're looking to improve your HPDE skills, get licensed, or take your racing to the next level - Kaizen is the place to do it!

Fantastic experience: The Kaizen Autosport 3 Day Advanced Racing School is an immersive three days of racing. Peter and the other coaches have developed a curriculum that is phenomenal from race craft, situational awareness, open track sessions, practice starts and races. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants to race

Fantastic experience: The team at Kaizen is fantastic. I gave my daughter a 1 on 1 driving day as a gift and Bruce delivered a phenomenal experience. Everything from their communication, their equipment, their vehicles, to their staff is top notch. The fact that my daughter was excited and open to learning from a highly qualified and experienced racer allowed her to have a great time and gain a ton of knowledge. We will absolutely be returning for more driving with Kaizen.... and you really can't beat VIR as a location for some driving fun. Thanks again Bruce. Can't wait to do it again.

Fantastic experience: For a super novice like myself, I found that the coaching staff was outstanding , Very generous with their time spent with their driving students in class and on the track . I would recommend Kaizen to anyone who is looking to learn the race craft from a group of winners like the entire staff at Kaizen.

Fantastic experience: Talented, expert coaching combined with an exceptionally organized building block curriculum equates to a highly effective racing school. This was easily the most useful track time I’ve ever experienced.

Fantastic experience: I started with a well-known open wheel multi-day racing school back in the mid-90’s. Actually, I attended three such schools at different tracks (Lime Rock Park, Road Atlanta, and VIR) culminating with the now (I believe) defunct Ford Racing School at Miller Motorsports Park, run in tandem with NASA Utah, where I was awarded a provisional competition license. In short-- I am no stranger to racing schools. I can say, without reservation, that Kaizen was the best orchestrated school that I’ve attended. It ran like clockwork. The course material was concise and well presented without becoming overwhelming or simply redundant. The applied exercises, both on the skid pad and the track, were well designed and challenging without ever feeling unsafe. The program was developed by racer Peter Heffring with input from industry gurus Ross Bently and Peter Kraus. And it shows. The instructors and crew were knowledgeable, accessible, and just plain fun to be around. And a shout out to Donna who was just marvelous. The fact that Kaizen can effectively pull this all off in a two day school is just short of astounding. Also, their “BYOC” (Bring Your Own Car) option is unique and a great way to explore the limits of your own car while saving a few bucks. I would offer a word of caution, however-- give serious consideration to the car you bring. I pretty much brought a pocketknife to a gun fight. While I still learned a lot, I was at a definite disadvantage when it came to the racecraft exercises on day two. If you are looking to get a competition license with any of the big-three in amateur racing, or just want to buff up your HPDE game, I can’t recommend Kaizen highly enough. And let’s face it VIR is just an outstanding facility, which certainly doesn’t hurt. As a matter of fact I’m heading back to Kaizen this September for coaching and to attend another Racing School. I’m already counting down the days!

It is invaluable for any level of driver incredible amount of time on track and the customized support of your Kaizen coaches. The amount of time on track and the drills we ran helped gave me the confidence that I could go wheel to wheel with other racers. Fantastic experience: Having been to VIR in other settings such as track days, intro experiences, and so forth this was my first experience with Kaizen's school program and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the quality crew maintaining the cars, to knowledgeable instructors, down to the very punctual schedule and comprehensive program structure, this was a fantastic experience all the way around. Fantastic experience: Been doing auto-x and HPDEs since the early 1990s and have been instructing and coaching for several years. I also already had a competition license and 2 racing schools behind me. However, I STILL hadn't enough training for me to feel confident and excited about wheel to wheel competition. The Kaizen Race School was what it took! THEY give you the challenges, the drills, the pressure, the intensity, to either get what you need or decide you need another round. THIS IS THE RACE school you want if you want to race. It was GREAT!

Fantastic experience: Our teenage son just completed the April 2 day Racing School. Everything was A+ but what we liked the most is how the school took risks closer to real racing. Drills to make you comfortable in wheel to wheel racing then MANY real life starts at over 100 mph into a 180 degree turn with almost 20 cars. We have done 4 schools at different companies and this was by far the best one to prepare you for REAL RACING! Additionally, not all students passed to earn their industry licenses which shows this isn't just an "attend and go race" program. You have to earn your license!!!

Fantastic experience: I recently attended the racing school at Kaizen and came away very impressed. It was a great combination of classroom instruction, theory, and practical application on the track. When I was sitting in the first session the first morning and they described all the things we were going to do and learn by the end of the long weekend, culminating in two "graduation" races, I thought, "oh man, what have I gotten myself in to? This is way over my head....I don't belong here." But I stuck it out, and throughout the entire time, they kept providing just the right amount of information I needed at the right time to let me take that next step. By the time we ran the first race, I was still apprehensive, and trying to remember all the information we had gotten over the two days, but to my surprise, I was prepared. The entire staff was attentive, concerned, and appeared happy to be there. Bruce said he was running the show for the first time but handled it like a pro. Wyatt, the lead driving and classroom instructor, was excellent. Carlos, Geoff, and the rest of the guys (sorry didn't catch all the names) assisting on the skid pad, and around the track well all very helpful. I'll be back.

Fantastic experience: Wow!! What an experience! A super bunch of racers, mechanics and cars. Top notch school from very capable experienced instructors. The class room instruction and on track practice sessions were invaluable to all of us that attended the school. Would love to go back and attend the Advanced Driving experience some time in the near future to take my learning to another level. Fantastic experience: Just spent a wonderful 2 days with the Kaizen crew at VIR for their Advanced Road Racing School. Very professional school, excellent classroom material and on track coaching. For anyone looking to earn their racing license this is an excellent way to do it. The option to bring your own car is very unique, I rented one of the Kaizen cars and was not disappointed, well prepared and quick on track. IF your on the fence, don't be, you will not be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: Two Day licensing school is an exception driving experience, this more about racecraft and understanding when and how to pass safely than just driving fast. Exceptionally well structured with excellent coaching / instruction. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Attended 2-day racing school October 2021. This is an excellent program that advances skills in a stepwise fashion culminating in two, wheel-to-wheel races. Skills are assessed throughout to ensure each student is comfortable with the scenarios. Great feedback from the instructors in all the sessions. I highly recommend to anyone that is ready to make the leap into racing!

Fantastic experience: Drew, Peter, and the entire staff at Kaizen Autosport worked tirelessly to ensure that the experience was a success. Safety was a top priority as they made sure we felt comfortable and prepared to push the cars as hard as we felt was appropriate while making sure everyone stayed within their skill level. Speaking of the cars, the Radicals/F4/etc. were race prepped and ready to rock. The staff went out of their way to make sure spouses, parents, and siblings were included. We are already making plans to go back next year. Truly a 5 star experience.

Fantastic experience: An amazing experience, far exceeding my best expectations. I attended the driver's school in preparation for a competition license. The curriculum was well developed and the instructors were knowledgeable and helpful while making everything fun. If you invest money in your race car, you might gain a tenth of a second in lap times. If you invest money in your driver, you may gain 2 or 3 seconds. Attending the Kaizen schools is a sound investment.

Fantastic experience: From beginning to end this experience was bucket-list caliber. The attention given to help everyone be comfortable, safe and faster was more than I expected. The cars and equipment were in great condition, and delivered all the excitement I anticipated. Peter, Honey (may not be his wife’s real name), Drew and the crew were fantastic. Art, the VIR Photographer took excellent pics that bring back the excitement of the moment. Just a complete package. I recommend Kaizen Autosports without reservation.

Fantastic experience: Spent the day at Virginia International Raceway with the Kaizen Autosport Group. The track is absolutely amazing, the surroundings are pristive and the Kaizen team are complete and total pros. They walked us through what would become our racing experience from classroom instruction, to ride alongs with professional drivers, to an entire day of driving an SR1 racing car on your own. I've had the thrill of driving NASCARs at Charlotte, but that experience cannot compare to the rush of adrenaline that comes with road course racing. Learning how to hit the apex of a turn correctly and the optimum timing of braking and acceleration allowed for a complete racing experience. I would recommend to anyone interested in gaining first hand knowledge of road racing--Kaizen is the place for you. You'd be doing yourself a favor by going for it! 1000%

Fantastic experience: Attended the 2 day advanced program and you can tell they put some thought into it. Excellent progression of details and skills development leading up to the test races on the end of day two. The days were long but that's what you're paying for. I've been around the track for 25 years and I still learned quite a bit in a friendly and inclusive environment. Great school at one of the best tracks in the US.

Fantastic experience: Attended the Kaizen Race School in March 2021. To say it was excellent would be an understatement. The classroom instruction was on point and very focused. As a result, the on track exercises and graduation races provided a real opportunity to implement the knowledge gained in the classroom. The instructors were top notch, experienced racers able to share their knowledge first hand. Attending this school was one of the best decisions I have made since driving HPDE's for 8+ years. Look forward to eventually taking the Advance Race School.

In the advanced school they teach you how to collect data from your car, how to read and use this information to improve on your weaknesses. Great school, great people! Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic program. I have done HPDE for 10 years and am a PCA driving instructor. I entered the driving school with the expectation of leaving better prepared for racing. My expectations were far exceeded! Peter, Drew, Wyatt, Carter, Nathan and the Kaizen Team are great hosts and fantastic instructors. I learned far more than I expected. I highly recommend Kaizen!

Fantastic experience: Kaizen Autosports at VIR looked like a great opportunity to get checked out in a Radical sport racer in a arrive and drive format. I join them for their Formula Experience venue to ease my way back into driving purpose-built racecars. What a great group of people to spend track time with. The entire crew from Formula experience/ Kaizen Autosports, from the owner on down to the instructors and track side support were very professional and attentive to the day’s participants. The main show, to me, was driving the Radicals! Awesome car! After a couple of sessions learning a new car and track, I felt comfortable enough to start working the racing line harder. My last session left me thinking “how soon can I come back and get better with this car”! My plan is to do a couple of HPDE days at VIR in 2021 that include some expert coaching from Kaizen Autosport to get the most out of the high downforce Radicals. My previous experience in F1600 racing with SCCA taught me the hardest lesson to learn in motorsports is how tough it is to undo bad habits

Fantastic experience: This event was a gift to myself, a "spirited driver" of a 2005 325i. What a gift it was! Peter, Drew, Shannon, Nathan, Wyatt and everyone else were professional, knowledgeable, and courteous but kept everything casual and FUN! I could tell they'd done this enough to know what kind of problems could arise from hosting ~15 drivers of varying experience levels because the whole event went off with no hitches that I ever saw. The cars were running beautifully and were kept running that way throughout the day. They even brought out an extra F4 car in the middle of the event to accommodate the number of people that wanted to drive one. The event itself was well organized and structured with enough flex to make sure everyone drove every car they wanted to. I could go gushing on and on, but here's the bottom line: I HIGHLY recommend Kaizen Autosport for your driving experience - I had an absolute blast, and you will too.

Fantastic experience: Peter and his skilled team put together and outstanding and truly thrilling experience that was both fun and extremely informative. I came out of the weekend with a much greater appreciation for racing and how to control my vehicle. I can’t express enough how amazing the experience was and I strongly recommend this to anyone interested in learning more about speed and control. The course is held at the Virginia International Raceway, which is a beautiful facility. I stayed on the property in the hotel and had dinner at the restaurant. The meal was excellent and the lodging was convenient and adequate. Kaizen Autosports, gives the students access to race simulators which drastically helped me before I stepped foot in the Radicals (cars). We also spend time on a skid track and learned to push our vehicles to the limits as we drifted around turns and listened to the sounds of sliding rubber tires and a humming of the Porsche engine. I don’t often write reviews and I know the most reviews are negative because people like to focus on the bad rather than the good. That being said, I feel compelled to spread some positive feed back, that hopefully will be helpful if you decide to take up motor sports.

Fantastic experience: If you want to learn to drive fast and safely this is the place! Peter and his team do an excellent job of building your skills throughout the two day program that eventually prepares you to start racing. The coaches assume you'll be on the track racing against them one day and therefore want to be sure they'd feel comfortable racing against you. With that in mind, they pay close attention to every detail to make sure you're ready to be a competent and safe fellow racer. I will definitly return to learn more!

Fantastic experience: What a great experience. These guys really are a class act. They want you to go as fast as possible and teach you to do so. There is no holding back, you can drive as fast as your ability will let you. I would give the 6 stars if I could. You can tell they want you to enjoy the sport as they do.

Fantastic experience: I went to Kaizen for a 3-day race licensing school - I had a blast and learned a ton. The first two days featured a combination of ground school, skid pad exercises, race procedures, off-line exercises, lots of practice rolling race starts, and several races.The third day featured a full "race day schedule" of practice, qualifying, races, and reverse grid races. Together, it was tremendous learning experience and provided lots of on-track time. The staff was fantastic. Just as one example, a coach was sent out in a Spec-e30 just to provide me with someone to race closely, as my car was outgunned by most there. They didn't need to do that - but they just wanted me to learn a lot and have fun besides, so they did. I suspect everyone at the school would have a similar story, where the staff did something to customize or improve the experience just for them. Awesome!

Fantastic experience: Just back from the racing license school at Kaizen Autosport. I cant say enough about how well this program is run. Terrific facility, experienced and professional staff, excellent track support if you bring your own car, and high quality personal coaching. Bonus is that they are all really nice people who care a great deal about quality in the sport.

Fantastic experience: Out of the many highlights of the experience racing with kaizen, it's hard showcasing a single one of them as they've managed to combine so many different compnents into a unique, comprehensive, tailored racing experience that's impossible to summarize with a simple "⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ highly recommended" type review The team leadership, the expert instructors, the high performance vehicles, the world class facilities and track are all standout aspects of the experience. But the one thing that i cannot emphasize enough is the creative program they put together to expose racing drivers to a variety of scenarios and situations allowing for rapid progression, skill development and confidence. It might seem outlandish to expect a novice driver to progress from limited track experience to a race ready pilot, but these guys have figured it out and proved it. Within 48hrs they're able to build you up safely and have you compete in 3 multi class races, something which would initially seem technically impossible from a skill and safety perspective. I cannot say enough about the care, skill and method Peter and his team have put into this program and how they accompany you through the process. Outside of the racing school, i also had the benefit of doing 2 hpde days with the team which was really a culmination of this top class program. Having access to 1 on 1 instruction around the track was a tremendous way to consolidate and enhance the skills built up in racing school. Kaizen has earned in me a repeat and loyal customer. I highly highly recommend any aspiring driver to reach out to them and take advantage of this top class program in this world class facility. i cannot wait to go back!!

Fantastic experience: Kaizen Autosport is located at VIR a world-class facility that's about 4 hours away from DC. I completed a back to back 2 day race school and 2 day of full track day with the coaches. Peter Heffring (the owner and who also happens to hold the track record at VIR in a radical sr8) tailored the race school unlike any other typical 3 day race school. First they consolidate the normal 3 day race school into a packed 2 day program with SIGNFICANT seat time which also helps make it more accessible for busy professionals. They also run the advanced race school (2 day) and regular race school together which makes for a very interesting learning experience. Day 1 was time on the skid pad with a m235 and a manual porsche cayman for car control (oversteer,understeer) and figure 8's , excellent class room training on vehicle dynamics , track analysis/breakdown , a full track walk which was quite rare for a race school but common amongst pros as well as the usual suv tour of the course. Day 2 was action packed which included cars of varying class, students brining their own cars , radicals, formula cars, or using one of Kaizens fleet. I drove the their f4 and a few of my buddies in a radical sr3 all were in great condition and ready to run. I won't spoil the entire class but i'll just say the exercises are EXTREMTLY helpful in learning vehicle dynamics, the limit of your own driving, the track, race craft etc.. Some of the exercises we did were also very specific to Kaizen which i haven't I experienced in other schools. We also had 3 very real races and significant amount of race starts all with multiclass cars and a professional photographer. The program was well run with the highest safety standards and we had no mechanical failures which speaks volumes of the high quality of cars. Another major notable was the instructors really encouraged and gave us the leeway and trust to push the cars while being safe . After 2 days, Peter also arranged for us to attend a 2 day track day after our race school and provided 1 on 1 coaching. All of their cars included telemetry, driver/coach audio and very tailored coaching with very well maintained cars. I can say for certain, this was one of the best race school and 'motorsport therapy' I've attended in the past 12 years. This includes many factory driving programs from BMW, Lamborghini , Skip barber etc. A big kudos to Peter and the team! We'll be back!

Fantastic experience: After having rented vehicles from Kaizen in the past, I recently attended their racing school. I cannot complement them enough. The staff is professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. The racing school curriculum was fully comprehensive, methodical, and efficient. They constantly strive to improve and mold their program to get better, by being immediately responsive to feedback. Whether you want the driving experience or you are a visiting driver wanting to rent a car or wanting to get your racing license, go with these guys, you will be pleased.

Fantastic experience: I took my 14 year old son to one of their licensing schools and the experience was priceless. My son had plenty of kart racing experience but limited experience in a car. The school gave valuable experience in car control and racing line but most importantly provided experience with overtaking, maneuvering on and off driving line, racing side by side and rolling race starts in a pack. I feel we are way ahead doing this school vs attending multiple HPDE events. Looking forward to scheduling some one on one coaching with their staff in the future. Highly recommend. Admittedly I’m kind of jealous I didn’t get to do it!

Fantastic experience: I just completed the Kaizen Autosport Racing School at VIR and had a fabulous experience. I rented a track-prepped Porsche Cayman for the course. The car was great and the instructors were incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and tremendously helpful. I gained so much confidence over the two days and really improved my driving. The entire team works together to meet your needs and individualize their instruction so that you get the maximum benefit. I highly recommend Kaizen and look forward to going back for more!

Fantastic experience: Our company, Capewell Aerial Systems had a team building exercise on October 24th at the track and we all had a blast! The staff was professional, accommodating and fun. Our team enjoyed the competitive go-karts and especially the hot laps around the track. It was an awesome experience that everyone is still talking about. Fantastic experience: Nathan and the Kaizen team were instrumental in our podium finish at the 2019 SCCA RunOffs at VIR, silver medal in E-Production, which would not have been possible without their services and support during the RunOffs. We met as strangers and left feeling privileged to get to know them. Good people and a good team = a good business.

When you successfully complete a two day course, you will have the potential to race in SVRA, SCCA and NASA. I highly recommend starting here to get your license(s).
