Negative experience: My friends and I signed up for the 3 hour Go-Kart race and that is what this review will be about. There was rain in the forecast but nothing too severe. The website says they have the race rain or shine, so we assumed it would happen. One small issue we ran into right of way was that they only accpeted cash for the gloves you needed to race. We did not bring our own and the website says they have some on site to purchase. They made no mention of it being cash only. We did not have cash so i had to run out of the raceway to go find cash or gloves. Pro tip if this happens to you, there is a Dollar General right outside the raceway that has gloves for $5 each (it costs $20 at the raveway). We got through the first hour of the day getting our gear and going through the overview. Right before practice started the rain came. They let everyone go out for practice but about 5 minutes later they called everyone back in and stopped it. The rain wasn't too bad but everyone was spinning out all over the course. Additionally, our kart cut out numerous times during that time and our driver was unable to complete more than two laps. The staff there said that was probably because of the rain. After a few more minutes they told us they had to cancel the entire day due to the rain. Their policy does state they do not supply refunds but rather just give a rain check that is good for one year. One of our teammates was from out of state though and would not be coming back anytime in the next year. We inquired about getting a full refund due to this. One of the workers that we talked to spoke with the owner and we were told to call the office the next Monday. We were given the impression we would be able to get a refund. We called the office on Monday are were not given a refund. They said we were told to just call the office, but not that we would get a refund. This made no sense to us and was frustrating. Why would they tell us to call if the policy would not change? Seems like a waste of everyone's time. The staff on the day at Pocono were all great and were professional. No issues with any of them or the raceway. Unfortunately that did not make up for the frustrations we had. TLDR: They actually do not race in the rain and will not work with you on refunds. Make sure you and your team are able to come back within the following year in case it gets cancelled due to weather, which is very possible. Otherwise you are not getting your money back.

Fantastic experience: This is the second time I drove at Pocono. It's a great experience. One you'll never forget and you will want to keep coming back!

Fantastic experience: I gave this to my husband for Christmas and he loved it. Such a great experience doing a ride along which he said was scary but fun because they go around 150 around the turns. Awesome day and everyone was friendly and helpful, and he said it was great to drive the car himself. He had a blast.

Fantastic experience: This was my second trip to Pocono and everyone involved made it a fantastic experience. It started with Joel in our briefing. I mentioned some of the mistakes I made on the first trip and he sat with me individually to help me navigate the turns better. He also made it a point to introduce me to my instructor on the track, Sean. We went out to his car, he took off his helmet, dropped the mesh and we also talked about how to get around the corners better. The first few warmup laps were timid and then his words helped me to push the car to places I didn't think it would go. All in all it was a great experience and everyone on the track was helpful and enthusiastic. I heartily recommend these guys.

Fantastic experience: Professional class. Informative for the beginner. The ride along in my opinion made it more comfortable to know the cars response to the track. I have been driving professionally for years and not sure I would have drove through the corners the way my teacher “Petey” did had I not known how capable the stock car was during my ride along. Negative experience: We bought tickets 8 months in advance, but in the meantime we completely forgot about it. Later I read the e-mails and saw that I received an automatic e-mail asking how it was..., We sent countless messages asking if we might get another date or something similar , but we didn't get an answer for any of them. We are very disappointed because we wanted to try it and the tickets weren't cheap either! ....At least if we had received a reminder message before the event it would have helped.

Fantastic experience: I’ve wanted to do this for years. The only thing I regret is waiting this long to do this. It was honestly the greatest experience of my life. I can’t wait to do it again. Thank you to the entire team.

Negative experience: STARS ARE REQUIRED TO POST. THIS STAR WAS NOT EARNED. Booked an experience that was canceled due to weather (understandable). Ian the owner is a theif. There is no availability until next year. A lot could happen in a year. I could use MY $655. dollars for rent, food gas and bills. Instead Ian has chosen to keep money I worked hard for giving me NOTHING in return. IAN IS A THEIF AND THIS IS A SCAM. UPDATE:I bought this as a gift for someone. It got cancelled 2 days before due to poor weather (completely understandable). What’s not understandable is that when I called and emailed(Stef) to try and get a refund ($655) I was told it was “completely impossible” because I had already “booked it for a specific date”. Which really shouldn’t matter at this point because that “specific date” was cancelled. I was told the only solution to this problem was to book a new date for 2024…? This to me is a completely unrealistic and unreasonable solution to a problem. So much can happen in a year and that’s not to say that next year when I book it again, that date might also get cancelled due to poor weather. Talked to Ian (the owner) and was told I “gambled my money away”. Not really something you wanna hear from someone when buying from their company that cost $655. Ian was probably the most unprofessional, cocky person I talked to out of everyone. Again not something you want when talking to the OWNER of a business. Before spending your money here, l would definitely consider whether or not you are alright with not getting what you paid for that day, that year or even years from now. COMPLAINT FILED WITH THE BBB, APPARENTLY KEEPING PEOPLES MONEY IS COMMON. REACHING OUT TO THE VISITORS BUREAU IN OA TO ASK THEM TO PROVIDE ACCURATE INFORMATION SO PEOPLE AREN'T RIPPED OFF. ALSO LICAL TELEVISION STATIONS DO THEY CAN SHARE ALL INFORMATION ON THIS SCAM. THEY FINALLY RETURNED MY NEICES MONEY IN FULL. IT TOOK POSTING, MULTIPLE CALLS, A REPORT FILED WITH THE BBB AND THE BANK FOR THEM TO DO WHAT THEY SHOULD HAVE DONE. THIS IS NOT ONLY BAD BUSINESS BUT ILLEGAL. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS DECEPTIVE BUSINESS !!!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Phenomenal experience, hard to even describe in words! My wife bought me the 10-mile drive for last christmas and boy do I owe her one now! I added on the ride before I drove and felt that really helped for my drive in knowing what it felt like first. Everyone involved was very professional and helpful, can't thank you all enough. Definitely recommended!

Fantastic experience: Hands down they’re the best instructors in Pensilvania if you are looking for a place just stop looking this is it!

Fantastic experience: As a present I purchased a 3 lap ride along for my 21 year old son with autism who is a huge NASCAR stock car fan. He was a bit anxious with all the potential unknowns of a new experience, but all the employees at Stock Car Racing Experiences were fabulous! They put him at ease and assisted him through all the steps with dignity and respect. He had the time of his life!!! Afterwards, all he could talk about was doing it again...but next time going for 6 laps! Thanks so much for treating someone with autism with such professionalism.

Negative experience: I did the drive your own car experience in October of 2022. It was not mentioned during the orientation that your car may be damaged by chips in the paint and windshield. My 2023 corvette had hundreds of small chips in the front end, hood and windshield from the track. I taped the nose with track tape but damage still occurred. The cost of repairs is $11,000. Insurance will not cover it because it is a high performance event. There should have been some warning of the possibility of damage.

Fantastic experience: Did the ride along, Incredible experience!! People were great, process was very easy, and the ride- amazing. I don't know if we actually got up to 160mph, but it was fast and the tricky triangle is an awesome track.

Fantastic experience: Casual/professionalism. That's my label for this experience. Everyone we were involved with throughout the day was relaxed but, knowledgeable. Everyone was happy. I think it had to do with the average age of those on staff...they themselves had a few years of experience. We did the three lap ride along first to get a feel for what it was like, then drove the 20 mile circuit. Felt safe and secure all day. Loved the car's responsiveness. Handled like it was glued to the track. Our lead driver quickly recognized that me and my son-in-law were drivers that were ready to go and after a few warm-up laps he let us run! A ridiculous amount of fun and adrenaline. Great staff, great experience. We will be back.

Negative experience: I paid close to $400 for the 10 mile drive and was the third car in the group. The instructor drives based on the second car and the guy was so slow and would totally drop way down in speed in the turns that it left me frustrated. I was penalized because the guy in front of me was afraid to push the pedal down. He also slammed on the brakes entering the pit ( you can hear his car squeal on the video ). At one point on a straight away, it felt like we slowed down to 60 mph to let 5 other cars pass. I wish I was put in a different group. I can’t really afford to waste another $400 for another disappointment.

Fantastic experience: Took my Dad for his birthday last summer and we had the best time ! Definitely recommend checking this place out.

Fantastic experience: We had an amazing time! The staff was very nice and helpful. We did the Jim Thorpe route with a rented slingshot. They have plenty of places to stop including a lake that you can swim in. We didn't go in because we didn't bring bathing suits and only rented the slingshot for 4 hours. Would definitely do it again and reasonably priced.

Fantastic experience: This is a very fun experience. Ride alongs for those not sure they want to drive and driving your own car for the more adventuresome! I've been there 3 times and I'm already signed up for next year!

Positive experience: Great experience. Very well organized. Felt very safe. The only issue I have is that the video I paid for was barely visible due to a dirty windshield. This should not be the case for those who pay for the video and want to watch it clearly and share it with friends and family. I actually mentioned it to the pit road staff before I took off. There should be a process for cleaning the windshield before take off for a clear video. Other than that it was great!

Fantastic experience: Did the 4 lap drive and added the extra 4 laps to make it 20 miles. WORTH. EVERY. PENNY. Max speed was only 116, but it's the corners that I loved!. Still was an amazing experience! 4 car lengths at over 80 mph! I loved every second. Many thanks to the whole crew, from the instructors, to the pit crew. You guys are awesome!

Fantastic experience: At 72, I wasn't sure I'd be up to doing this but everyone was patient and friendly and made it so enjoyable. When it was over I was ready to go again. I took the 3 lap ride along, then the 10 mile ride. I had no trouble keeping up with the lead car because the instruction was very thorough and he explained just what to do. All I can say is that it was GREAT!!!

Fantastic experience: I did the 3 lap ride. It was very quick and easy signing in. I arrived an hour early, but did not have to wait to ride. Everyone was friendly and professional. I think i'll do this again sometime!

Fantastic experience: I had such a fantastic time!!!! My driver's name was Sean and he rocked!! The track was huge; the best part was turn one because you are going super fast and think "how does the car not flip" but it hugs the road so well, just like being in a professional race! I could have ridden in the car all day - oh to be a race car driver..... Everyone at the place was so friendly too - I can't wait to go back!!!!

Fantastic experience: For Christmas my wife gave me a ride along, plus a 20 mile drive. We arrived on time for 12:30pm class,then it started to rain we received a rain check good for 1 year. They said to you can hang around for next class if you wanted. So rain stopped and we stayed for 2:00pm class. Got my ride along, driver spoke to me about what to expect,as we drove around he showed me where to lay off throttle,turn and accelerate. Helped me when I got to drive myself. I had a blast driving around my top speed was 160 mph. My wife upgraded and added another 20 mile drive.Let me add the staff was great, they wanted me to have a wonderful experience and to be completely satisfied. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to have a great time at the track.

If you enjoy driving, and have always wanted to go fast, but don't live by the Autobahn and/or you don't have a car capable of getting up to decent speeds, I highly recommend this experience. Courteous, professional staff, and so much fun getting to drive a high performance stock car. Stop reading reviews and book your experience already!! Get out there and drive like you were meant to!!

Fantastic experience: What a great ride!! My crew at work gave me a 6-lap ride as a gift upon retirement. What a great way to "ease" into retirement. I would recommend this to anyone. I now want to go back & drive a car!!

Fantastic experience: My boyfriend bought me the 20 mile drive experience for my birthday and I couldn't have been more excited. I had a great experience driving! Everyone there was very friendly and helpful, eased my nerves. It was a safe and thrilling ride, I wanted to keep going. Can't wait to do it again some day.

Negative experience: The booking experience - or attempt- was so unprofessional and rude I ended up not booking.

Negative experience: Last weekend was our 3rd yr participating in the 3 hr go karts. The past 2 times were a blast and was a very fun experience, everyone should experience the go kart racing! I am sorry to say this, the 10-8-17 date was not good at all. I followed the weather forcast all week, it showed heavy rain for that Sunday.  Per their website, the go kart racing is rain or shine, no refunds, have to show no matter the weather conditon and it would be up to them if there is a rain delay or if the race gets canceled and you have a year to use it There are only 3 dates to choose from.  So, if those 3 dates dont work for you, you lose your money. I think since we paid for the race already, there should be no expiration date on the rain check, if it was canceled Furthermore, the safety of the participants should be a priority, since the age starts at 16. 10-8-17, we get to the track, no rain.  It did rain alot during the middle of the night. The track had huge puddles in one area on the straight away. The drivers had a 30 minute practice and qualifying race. During practice race, alot of the karts skidded, spun out, ran off the road and hit into the tires, which were set up at specific areas, which led the employees to move the tires further out to make more room. Myself, my boyfriend and other participants were saying that we were surprised about the huge puddles of water on the straightway. We thought maybe they would have blown some of the puddles out with a leaf blower or something, which works bc we do it at home when it rains. My suggestion would be to put a tarp, not over the entire track, which would be unrealistic. I would think to only cover the actual track part; come up with some solution to put something on it, to keep dry. The stock car races that Sunday were canceled due to poor track conditons and safety of the drivers, so they were aware of the poor track conditons on the track their stock cars use and canceled them, which i understand bc they ride high speed. There were alot of spin outs during the race, due to the slippery track conditions, which was uncommon from our 2 prior experiences when there was no rain. There was a specific turn where i can tell my boyfriend was unsteady and could not keep his go kart straight and was a little wobly. I asked him about it, he said its a little slippery there and slightly wet. In that same corner, 2 karts were racing, one kart spun out, my boyfriend coming around the corner about 40 miles speed and he could not turn or stop the go kart in time and ran hard into this guys kart and my boyfriend flipped his kart, which landed on. He was rolling back and forth in pain, not speaking at first. He was in such pain. Two medics onsite came to assist him and Gregg told them he thought his arm was broken and his head and neck hurt, which he thought is due to a concussion. He got up and tried to assess his own injuries, alone. He was in mad and in pain and didnt want everyone touching him. I took him to the trauma center in PA for xrays and ctscan. It was hard for me to see him in such pain, to see the car flipping over on top of him and he was in shock and had trouble processing what just happened. Before we left to the ER, a man who said he ran the race approached us. I was still very angry at what happened, i explained to him what happened and that i was disappointed. He told me if we thought the track conditons were life threatening, we could have received a refund, that was a lie. Read their refund policy. I later asked for a refund bc I was extremely upset this took place and I was denied a refund bc the way i handled myself. Who wouldn't be upset, scared and very mad, when they see their boyfriend in extreme pain. This was a birthday gift. He was injured one hour into the race. Summary, this go kart race can be amazing expirence, be safe if you have to do it in the rain.

Fantastic experience: This was an awesome experience I have wanted to do this ride along since I was 5yrs old. The race was the best thing ever, a thrill of a life time, for someone who is 69 1/2

Fantastic experience: Never thought it would have been so much fun. The entire staff was outstanding in caring for safety, very attentive to our needs, knowledgeable in their craft. I recommend the 6 laps. Didn't want it to end and will book again. My wife wants to experience the excitement as well. Track and grounds were very clean and well kept. If you like to drive fast, this is for you.

Fantastic experience: The first and only word out of my mouth when I climbed out of my 600 hp beast at Pocono Raceway during the Stock Car Experience was "Wow!". My kids bought it for me for Christmas and I have spent the winter dreaming of today. When our 8am session was cancelled due to rain, and then the 9:30 and 11 sessions were cancelled too, I thought that today just wasn't our day. But we stuck it out and were lucky to get into the 12:30 class. And I'll tell you, Joel did a terrific job in the classroom and in the van...he has the perfect temperament for that gig. I added the ride along at the last minute and was so glad I did. Chris explained everything to me in the car and I got a great sense of what to expect when I got behind the wheel myself. David at trackside also was great in getting me comfortable and very patient in explaining the inside of the car. And then we were off....the 10 miles went by in a blur.i don't know who the driver was who led us around but he was great too....he did exactly what we learned in the classroom. Kudos to the entire team for a fabulous unforgettable day! I'll be back!

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to give a shout out to the staff at Stock Car Racing. my friend and i did our 2nd drive experience 2 weeks ago. WHAT A RUSH !!! I would recommend this for anyone male or female. already making plans for our 3rd experience. A special thanks to Chris my instructor, you gave the pointers to make that drive AWSOME.

Fantastic experience: This was the Ultimate Experience of a lifetime. It was a gift given to my husband and brother-in-law who just wanted more time out there on the track. When they got out of that car it was a smile that never left their face. I can only explain it as "Priceless". My husband couldn't thank me enough! As the old saying goes "Live like you were dying", If you have the opportunity, go for it! Still smiling :)
