Fantastic experience: Listen people this CDL school is TOP NOTCH. I can not say enough great things about this school. Everyone of the instructors were great at they're instructing. Not only that but it felt like a family and they are so encouraging and really know how to get you learning the skills you need to be a TOP NOTCH driver. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. From start, Mrs. Molly- helpful with the paperwork of things and great service skills, Instructors- Mr. Rich, Dave, Ryan, Nate, Jose, Robert, Jim, Terry, Mrs. Linda, The "Homework" Guy, sorry I forgot your name (I learned the best from him on Pre-Inspection), and the "Boss" man. I was able to get enrolled and start with Richard ( The instructors) in the yard made it a lot easier to understand maneuvers . He is awesome. Tell me a lot. A Big shout out to driving on the road. Fantastic experience: If you're looking to take a test without needing a class (though I imagine their classes are great as well), I cannot recommend this place highly enough. FCG has a highly professional and kind staff who genuinely want to help people start or advance their careers in commercial driving. I've had a class-A CDL with a fifth wheel restriction for five years, and a class-B for four years before that, all with zero violations or accidents. After a different local school failed me on the pretrip last fall, I tried this place out to remove my fifth wheel restriction. The truck my company supplied from another region had paperwork missing, so I failed the test i was scheduled for. FCG went above and beyond to get me another test arranged the same day, and the staff was incredibly gracious through the whole process - even as I was having a panic attack from years of pent-up frustration. Regulations are changing and the test has become more difficult for someone as scatter-brained as myself to pass, but the staff at FCG did everything they could to get me through the process and help me move forward. I truly cannot recommend them highly enough.

My examiner Terry was kind, professional, and made me feel like a friend was riding with me while checking my driving skills. I would recommend this place for testing!

Fantastic experience: Thanks to all the great trainers and staff at FCG. You took me from knowing little to getting my CDL-A in four weeks. The training schedule was similar each day but each day was challenging and the staff was responsive to my individual needs. Every day was valuable and a lot came together for me in this last week!

To-date, all of the staff members have been really engaged, and seem to truly care about the success of their students. Fantastic experience: I had a great experience. I called was able to get an appointment the next day. When I took my test the instructor was very detailed and helpful. We had nice conversation which made it a little easier. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: I took my drivers license test here in October of 2019 and it couldn't have been a better experience. Friendly, and professional, no pressure ore rudeness, everyone I talked to on the phone or in the office and the guy who tested me were easy to talk to and made it a good experience.

Fantastic experience: Best trainers for beginners, big shout out to Bill and Matt. Without these 2 I would not have been able to pass the alley dock portion of the test. These people want to see you succeed, thats the best part. Can't go wrong with doing your training at this facility.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend you to go to this school I had a great time with the instructors and they teach you until everything goes into your brain I only had a 2 weeks and those 2 week I obtained my CDL first 3 days I got confused thinking like I will never be able to know all the components on the truck but the stuff helped me to get through it I can back on my second week repeating everything without looking on the paper I miss you guys

Fantastic experience: Great place if your looking to get your CDL! I did the 4 week course and it was plenty of time to learn how to drive a semi. If you have previous experience driving trucks or backing trailers (like trialers to hull wood or whatever else) I would recommend the two week(full-time) course. Just be ready for information overload if you do the two week course, plan on studying a lot. I feel for people like me with no experience 4 weeks is what you need though. The facility and staff are amazing! They made it fun and challenging to be there. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone I know looking to get there CDL

Negative experience: I've been training my fiance for a year now, we spent 2 weeks training in the yard at our work for her to get her liscense plus of course that year of on the road experience. We went here and she was failed instantly at the brake test. Spent $150 and 10 minutes later she was failed. Now it's TRUE that it has to be done 100% but we've gone over it and over it. She knows it front and back, according to the manual there are only 3 parts to this test. See MI CDL manual pg 136-137. I've gone over it with her again and again and she never gets anything wrong, she's sure she did it right and yet the tester told her "you're missing whole parts of this". Of course by law he can't tell us which "parts". After much thinking on this I am certain that what really happened was this; when we got there I asked if I could watch, I've got a lot tied up in this ya know, were broke the 150 is a lot of money and I've spent a year training her, the last two weeks in a dirt field without pay or a bathroom after 6pm. Well he got mad, I clarified that I meant well out of ear shot, edge of the parking lot kinda stuff. I know she can't receive help, that's obvious. I just want to see how she did. Well anyways, in the end I waited inside and I think he knew he could get away with failing her since he didn't have to say what she did wrong and he did. Also remember it's in a training courses best interest to fail you, they get the money either way and if you fail you have to come back. Which of course afterwards he offered us a $900 pretrip training course for 8 hours straight. So basically a thousand dollar cram session that ends with a test. Point is, dont trust this place, these other reviews are probably by their employees and this place is a scam, sure you'll pass, if the instructor likes you or you take one of their more expensive training courses.

Fantastic experience: Great people, great service, great scheduling. Nothing bent, broken or missing with these people. We're sending more people from our shop to train here. And cheaper than other local schools in town. (Couldn't get anything done at star trucking they enjoy being a roadblock to your career)
