Negative experience: DO NOT GIVE THIS WOMAN YOUR TIME, MONEY, OR ENERGY! I called Donna a few days ago to try to book some lessons and a driving test (which admittedly were a little short notice, but I was simply asking if she could do this or not, not demanding anything of her). She began the call angry and tense, and I could hear that she was driving with a student while on the call because of the way she was angrily snapping at them about their driving. She actually shouted at me unprompted for a solid minute/minute and a half when I said I couldn’t accommodate her request to see me drive from 10-11 am (I am in school until 2:30). She was shouting about how my requests were impossible— they weren’t, I had called 3-4 local schools who could all do the times/dates I wanted. And if it was impossible for her school, she should have been polite and simply said she couldn’t do it. I swear this woman has never taken a customer service class in her life, which she desperately needs because it seems that she was neither born nor raised with any manners, decency, or patience. Her fuse is short, and my patience for her egregious attitude is even shorter. Honestly, even if she had been able to book lessons for me & paid ME to take them, I wouldn’t drive with her for a second. Overall I would not engage with this school at all, based on other reviews Donna seems to be a childishly impatient woman with a knack for making others feel uncomfortable and terrible about themselves.

Negative experience: I can’t believe this driving school is still allowed to operate. Donna’s behavior in the car is terribly stressful. She is impatient, erratic, and unsafe. If I spoke to students in my classroom the way she speaks (screams) to new drivers, I’d be out of a job. Screaming at a new driver while they’re behind the wheel is unconscionable. She is also very unorganized. A few times she showed up hours before the scheduled lesson just because she happened to be in the area and wanted to get the lesson done. My driver transferred to a different auto school and became a confident, safe driver. The comment after the first lesson with the new school was, “Is that how all lessons should be? It was amazing.”

Negative experience: RECOMMENDATION: Address Donna's attitude issues to create a supportive learning environment. If you're a beginner, consider alternative driving schools with more supportive instructors. Be cautious of Donna's classes, as her behavior may impact your learning experience. Negative experience: Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Donna is very unprofessional. We did a lesson on accelerating and decelerating, the whole time she’s yelling at me because I kept braking, if i hadn’t i would’ve hit the cars in front of me. She does not pay attention, I would go because I had a green light and she’d hit her emergency brake and start yelling at me cause she hadn’t realized the light changed. Also, when my lesson was done, we went to pick up another student. This student stated she had never been behind a wheel before, the student didn’t even know how to put the car in drive. She had the student drive me home 30 minutes away from her house, I swear we almost crashed 6 times, very unsafe. She causes so much anxiety for me, everytime I did something wrong she would yell and she put me in a very unsafe situation.

Fantastic experience: Donna really takes her time to teach her students every detail. Without her, my daughter could never have gotten her license. Thanks, Donna!

Negative experience: Horrible experience. Please do not go here unless you want to ruin your mental health. The classroom is ok, but the driving instructions are absolutely awful unless you are a perfect driver.

Negative experience: The Instructor Donna is very mean to her students she gave me very bad anxiety I should sue for what she has done to me.

Negative experience: Donna achieved her primary function of preparing my daughter to pass the road test and be a safe driver and for that I'm thankful. It was challenging to get through the 12 hours of on road training as we seemed to have a hard time confirming when we did and when we didn't have an appointment. Sometimes Donna was a no show and once Donna showed up yet we had not confirmed we were available. Once the road training happened her criticism should have been more constructive. She did warn me she is not there to be our child's friend but to make them a safe driver and that they may come home crying. Donna and I disagreed on the readiness of my daughter to take the road test with my view being she was far more ready than Donna claimed. In the end my daughter got her license on the first try so the training worked yet could have gone a lot smoother.

Negative experience: Don't ignore the bad reviews, read them all. Donna is an incredibly unprofessional instructor, up to and including giving me bad instructions. I believe she and her practice are an active danger to the public, and my experience needs to be public knowledge. Keep reading for details, I warn you this is long, but I'll make it worth every word if you're considering choosing Donna. If you want the short version, here: Unprofessional, dangerous, screaming, incorrect instructions and incredibly stressful environment to the point of being unsafe. Long Version: One of the first places Donna had me drive was through an active school zone, with kids walking through the parking lot, playing sports and presumably having gym or recess. I told her it was a bad idea but she yelled at me until I just gave in an accepted this obviously bad and dangerous idea. Making this worse, Donna's car is unnecessarily high off the ground, giving new drivers reduced visibility. Driving around children, this is exceedingly dangerous. The fact that was Donna's idea for a first location to head to is incredibly startling. Her practice should be closed down as a danger to the public for this alone, but wait, there's more! Her instructions are blatantly wrong and dangerous. She told me to blast through a yield sign, not only did she tell me to, she screamed at me to do so. I was doing the correct thing and stopping and looking before I turned, because I hadn't been able to get a clear look at if anyone was coming. When I tried to tell her this, she dismissed me entirely and screamed at me that I should have read the driver's manual. So she lied to me, made me think I was doing it wrong, until I got home, talked to my dad, and he told me I did the correct thing. So her instructions are actively a danger to the public, and are incorrect. She somehow has less knowledge on the rules of the road than I do, and I AM THE STUDENT. Again, her practice needs to be shut down. One of the main rules of being a passanger is to not yell at the driver. Ever. Unless you want the car to stop immediately, you don't yell. My instinct especially as a new driver is if my passanger yells, I slam on the breaks. Donna doesn't seem to get this, nor does she even seem smart enough to realize she's yelling. You DO NOT yell. Especially as an instructor. How I, an inexperienced driver, knows this to be a rule even with an experienced driver, but somehow Donna doesn't is astounding to me. It made the environment far more stressful than it had to be. Not only does she yell once, if you make a mistake, she will yell continuously, non stop, and very loud, until the mistake is fixed. Make a turn wrong? Prepare to be screamed at for the entire turn. A driving instructor, a real one, one who has any level of professionalism, is calm even in stressful situations and does not yell. She nearly made me have a panic attack in the middle of an intersection and somebody could have gotten hurt, if it weren't for my ability to keep my cool, finish the turn, and ignore her yelling. I learned in spite of her, not because of her. I genuinely would have been better off on my own, and that's really saying something. I would ask questions, and she would refuse to answer. My entire ride, of all the many questions I asked, I got an answer for one of them, and only after I asked it 4 times. No I'm not joking. She will either say "use your thinking skills" (which means nothing, it's just word soup) or "use a thought process" (which is even more word soup) or just dismiss it and say I should've read the driver's manual (I did. Clarifying questions to jog my memory don't mean I didn't read the manual.) So I ask, what is the point of a teacher who not only doesn't teach, but actively refuses to and demeans you for asking? Nothing, there is no point, again, I would have done better on my own. In conclusion, this practice should be closed down, it is a danger to the public, and I will do everything in my power to make sure as many people know as possible.

Fantastic experience: I just got my Driving license today! I can’t thank Donna enough for what she did for me. She is a perfectionist and once I realized that, I didn’t feel bad when she was a bit firm for the many blunders that I did! She came all the way to the RMV for my sake ( it was not part of the deal initially) and her positive talk and guidance helped me nail it the very first time! I understood how committed and passionate she is about her job, when I saw her face after the examiner announced that I passed. Only a true soul can smile and hug the way she did. Thanks Donna… you don’t know what this means to me.

Positive experience: I got my license in a very timely manner through this school. Though, Donna can be a bit harsh to some students depending on the learning type they are. For me, everything was great until I was on a driving lesson and had a really bad panic attack, Donna, didn't know how to deal with it (neither did I) but showed great sympathy. The pressure helped me grow, but this is not the case for all people. I think she puts things in perspective, driving is very deadly but instilling too much fear can make nervous drivers. Overall, pretty good for me. I've heard some bad things so take that as you will.

Fantastic experience: I will just simply say that A-Z driving Academy is the best driving academy in the entire State of Massachusetts.This academy has highly professional and wastly experienced staff . All their driving trainers and teachers are highly professional and skilled in their jobs and have excellent training equipments and their location is easily accessible. I will fully recommend whomever wants to be a good driver and wanna get his/ her driver's license then A-Z Driving Academy is the best option for you. You will never regret your decision. Negative experience: DONT GO HERE - I never took lessons with her but she would make my little sisters cry after their lessons. Not only is it a horrible experience for the student, the whole family must suffer as well. Donna would show up either way too late or way too early to her lessons and would honk like a crazy woman outside our house until my siblings got outside, and her disorganized nature is a strain on any family with working parents or any other commitments. After more than half a year, they still hadn’t learned to drive properly and my mother had to send both of my sisters to another driving school. This was literally a year ago but we just had a family flashback and felt the need to document incase anyone else trying to decide where to send their kids.

Negative experience: This would be a lot better of a review if I even got the chance to actually attend the classes! I submitted my application, nothing. Weeks without hearing a word. So I thought okay, maybe I submitted my info incorrectly, maybe they’re swamped because it’s spring so all the students are starting to sign up for classes because it’s about that time students are off from school. So, I called, left a voicemail, left my number… STILL nothing. The blatant lack of communication honestly just made me choose somewhere else to try and get classes.

Fantastic experience: Donna is a fantastic instructor. She is super detail-oriented and will force you how to learn to control your vehicle properly to the point that failing a driving test is not a possibility.

Fantastic experience: I booked one hour session after one failed road test. One day before the test she called to inform me that she has covid and she was apologetic for canceling the session. I found another instructor for a crash course. 3 days before my test she calls to me check if I was able to get a lesson. I confirmed I did. I was however not too confident about test. She said she will drop by the next day and check if I am prepared. She trainer me for over an hour and refused to charge me for it as a gesture of appreciation for being understanding about her situation. On the morning of the test, she calls me to tell me that she believes in me and that she is confident that I will pass the test and asks me to believe in myself. I passed the test. The examiner was very impressed with my preparation thanks to Donna for she taught me the basics I was missing. Remember she refused to charge me and she was fully invested in my road test. Donna is a true instructor who wants her students to succeed. I have not met a teacher as passionate and dedicated as she is. I wish her the best of health and all the success.

Negative experience: DONNA is a Evil person and should not be aloud to teach kids for driving lessons. My Daughter has to seek medical help after DONA treat her very bad. She was on medication for long time .Please don't send you kids to this school. I am seeking legal help. She is the worse person and very rude lady.

Fantastic experience: The best driving instruction I've ever received. I found Donna through a recommendation from a friend (who was also one of her pupils) and I'm glad I did! She modified her instruction to my level of understanding and was incredibly patient with me. I had never driven before the classes; after the lessons, I now drive with self-assurance and complete control of the vehicle. Since I consider driving to be a luxury that I've earned, she advised me right away after each class to never give up and to keep trying because she could sense that I had a weak will and give up easily. Donna has a great deal of compassion and gets along well with folks like me who have serious mental health problems (anxiety)

Negative experience: I’m not usually one to post reviews but I feel like I need to warn people. I took 30 hours drivers Ed with Donna and it was fine. I started taking road lessons and it was horrible. One day she would tell me that I was a great driver and the next time she told me that it would be hard to pass the test. She would yell at me and literally take the wheel out of my hands. She took me to a roundabout and never told me where to turn and then proceeded to yell at me! The constant yelling and nitpicking has made me a very nervous driver when I wasn’t before. I got home from a road lesson and could not stop crying because of how rude and insensitive Donna was. She took me on a road lesson and made me drive to her house and wait outside!! She would constantly take personal phone calls during lessons as well. She is not qualified to teach since she failed the driving instructor test 4 times herself. Please avoid at all costs!

Fantastic experience: I took road lessons with Donna. Though her expectations is high from new students and often be impatient, she really cares for her students and very helpful. She wants her students be focused and determined. If someone wants a hard push from the instructor, Donna is the one.

Negative experience: Absolute garbage instructor. Covers the speedometer when doing in car sessions. Cuts classes short so she can sleep because she has to get up for work. If I could give zero stars I would. Beware she doesn't post her policies and will change them to suit her needs. Just find another instructor. Not worth the headaches.

Fantastic experience: Donna is an absolutely OUTSTANDING driving instructor! After failing my first road test, I contacted Donna and had a lesson scheduled within a few days. She completely built back the confidence I had lost after failing the first time, giving me the skills I needed and pushing me in a very positive way to become a better driver. After 3 Lessons, I passed my test with no problems! Donna even brought me to the test, practicing with me beforehand and calming me down (I was super nervous!) She genuinely wants each of her students to pass and to become safe, skillful drivers!

Negative experience: Where do I start? First believe the negative reviews, I read them before signing up and brushed them off. That was my first mistake. The classes went well, no issues. Driving lessons did not begin until two months after classes were finished because Donna was all booked up. She continually rescheduled and canceled driving lessons, most of the time at the last minute. She and I had a long conversation about it and I had hoped things would be better. My child was a very nervous driver to start with, which I explained several times to Donna. The nervousness was made much worse by Donna. She is the owner and only employee and it shows. She really needs other instructors, and at least a receptionist to schedule road tests, lessons etc. Donna would cover the speedometer when my child was driving and tell him that he should know how fast he was going. She would grab the wheel from him while he was driving, which made him extremely nervous. Like the other reviews stated, she was impatient and yelled constantly. He did not even want to drive with her by the end. She scheduled a road test when he told her that he was not ready. She signed off with the registry that he had completed his hours when he had, in fact, not even completed them yet. We had to cancel this test as he felt he was not ready and I had to pay a fee and reschedule. She does not usually schedule road tests, you have to do it yourself online. There are never any tests available so good luck with trying to get one. The night before his road test she calls and tells me she cannot take him, stating that I will have to take him or get someone else to!! I was not pleased at all and expressed this in no uncertain terms. She said that she had booked another road test at same time so she could not take my son. I used another driving school with my oldest and had zero issues. After I took the day off and made arrangements to take my son myself, she calls back and says her husband can take my son. I have never met her husband, my son had never met her husband. No thank you!! She knew I was very displeased. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE THIS DRIVING SCHOOL!! My 16 year old son said he was relieved that Donna did not take him for his test. That should tell you something. I didn’t get all the lessons we paid for but I don’t even care, she can keep the money. It was worth not having to deal with her anymore.

Fantastic experience: Donna is so responsible for her job of teaching how to drive safely. She taught me everything in three lessons and with some practice at home, I feel confident in driving safely on the road already. I have good driving habit and feel fully controlled when I’m on the road. I only had 5 lessons with her and passed my FIRST road test last week. I didn’t know how to drive at all before! I can’t imagine I can do it this fast without Donna. She is so friendly and easy to work with. Highly recommend her if you are looking for a driving school.

Fantastic experience: Best driving lessons I’ve ever experienced. Came across Donna from a reference from a friend (who was also one of her students) and did not regret it! She was so patient with me and adjusted her teaching so that I could understand everything completely. Before the lessons I had never EVER driven in my life after the lessons, I now drive with confidence in myself and with full control of the car. Driving is a privilege that I feel I’ve earned, and from the beginning I think she could tell that I have a weak will, (I give up very easily) so the first thing she told me after a lesson was was to never give up and keep trying! Donna is very understanding and works well with people with severe mental health issues including myself (anxiety) and driving with Donna feels like driving with my mom. Very comfortable learning experience.

Negative experience: incredibly impatient. constantly yells at students, treats students as if they are completely incompetent, will completely demotivate good drivers. while attending this school i came incredibly close to quitting because the instructor (donna) was so mentally draining and i was genuinely afraid to get in the car sometimes. she would tell me to do things that were very obviously incorrect, such as not yielding for traffic when i should. often times when driving with other people i tell them that she said i should or should not do something and they would be completely appalled. the thirty classroom hours were fine, but the driving lessons were anything but fine. i often find myself panicking when i step into a car with someone else because i feel as though i am going to be verbally berated like i was during the lessons. whether it be for you or for your child, avoid this driving school at all costs. if there were other instructors available it may be different, but she slows herself to make her own rules since she is the only instructor. absolutely 100% avoid this school.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough how happy I am with Donna. I got a lot of suggestions from our local parents group to take driving classes with her, and I am so happy that I decided to take classes with her. She is passionate about what she is doing and very responsible for her students. She is very strict in a way that help you step out of your comfort zone and be confident to be a good driver. I got my license only less than 2 months taking her classes. And I am a person that I have never thought I could drive. Highly recommended!!!

Fantastic experience: We tried Chelmsford driving school and paid for 2 private exam's for my son and plenty of special preps. He failed twice. Donna spent 5 lessons with my son and taught him how to drive and went with him to the registry to take the test which he passed! She showed him how to do basic stuff he was not taught previously, she will not hesitate to speak up if my son is not driving correctly or was unprepared for lessons. He says she's the best teacher. From a parent point of view, affordable and she comes to the house so it saved me hours waiting and commuting compared to chelmsford auto School.

Fantastic experience: Donna was so patient with me & that is an understatement. She made time to teach me 1 day before my road test. She taught me great techniques to help me learn to reverse (miracle worker). She even came day of to let me know I was supported and she believed in me. I can not even describe everything she has done. I wish I could give her more stars.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a lot of anxiety about driving, so we looked at a lot of reviews before we picked a driving school for her. We're so glad we picked Donna- she's very patient and thanks to her my daughter just passed her road test! It was also very easy to schedule lessons with her. Donna was very flexible with her scheduling and even willing to give driving lessons early on weekend mornings. She really went above and beyond- even scheduling daily lessons for my daughter right before the road test to practice. She also took my daughter to the area where the road test would be ahead of time to practice and get familiar with the route. I can't thank Donna enough and I would highly recommend her!

Fantastic experience: I was sure that my aunt is going to fail the test when I use to teach her because she will not look at her mirror, roll on the stop sign, always forget to give signals etc etc. So I started looking into driving school, no one was ready to teach my aunt in such a short time but Donna was confident that she can do it. I called her for my aunt 10 days before my aunt's driving test. It was nice of her to teach my aunt with her busy schedule. My aunt has limited english but still Donna was able to communicate with her and was able to made her understand every rule and things she need to do to pass the test. She even cancelled her scheduled classes to take my aunt for the road test and my aunt passed the test which my aunt and me is very thankful for. When no one in my family believed that my aunt can pass the test, Donna had full confidence in her teaching as well as in my aunt. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this driving school!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Just recently got my license with the help of Donna from A-Z, and it was an extremely positive experience. She’s extremely supportive of all her students, and throughout the entire time made sure that we were working towards our goals of getting a license. Donna cares a lot about all of her students, and does her very best so we can reach the level needed to get our licenses. Very happy I had her as my instructor.

Fantastic experience: Last week I had the pleasure of taking the parent class. Donna’s love and dedication to our young drivers was abundantly clear from the start. I had many questions and concerns. Donna was not only knowledgeable but comforting as well. I have faith that my son will be an amazing driver. I’ve grown from being nervous and scared to happy for him and excited to watch him on this journey towards adulthood. I will also admit, she taught me a few things in the class as well! How many of you remember what the hand signals really mean? Haha! Hands down, 5 stars, thumbs up...I couldn’t recommend this school more!

Fantastic experience: I completed all of my driving hours here and had a fantastic experience. Donna is very supportive and patient with students. She takes time to explain things to you, so you can better understand. She even has a little model car and board to give you a visual, instead of just verbal direction. If you had doubt about something or was a bit nervous, she would be very motivating, kind and encouraging. Donna communicated often about openings and would respond very quick if you called or messaged her. Making sure you got your hours done and got quality driving time was definitely her main priority. Not to mention, her car was very easy to spot with multiple 'student driver' stickers and a 'A-Z Driving School' sign on top. Very nice experience and if I had to learn to drive all over again, I would most certainly go back. :)

Fantastic experience: After doing a lot of research I found this school and decided to give it a try. My son didn't want to drive and was afraid of it. I wanted to make sure he got someone patient and easy going. I had a great conversation with Donna who put both my son and I at ease. I told her I had heard terrible things about some other schools and I was afraid to get someone who would make my son feel even worse about driving. After my son's first lesson, he was more confident and happier to learn how to drive. He said Donna was very nice and made him feel comfortable. It was amazing to see his progress and that he actually really liked the classes. I was a single mother and having someone to help me to teach my son how to drive was a blessing!!! Needless to say my son got his license!!! I will be forever and ever grateful!!! Thank you so so much Donna for treating us with so much respect and patience!!!! She got her license at first test! Donna was going extra steps to help her, with a lot of patience and overtime too, even during this pandemic time! Negative experience: Cannot give lesser than 1 star. so giving 1 star. Highly impatient, annoying de-motivator; don't know how to teach or handle teenagers. Specifically, if your kid is a good driver, do not send to a-z. Donna will demotivate them! She even criticizes people's appearance. She takes students in her personal white Chevy car without even "student driver" sticker on it. Communications are one way. Never responds to email or phone calls. Bad attitude! Simply harsh! In short, AVOID A-Z. Do Not go there!

Fantastic experience: Search no further, there is definitely no doubt that the school stands as the name suggests. U get all that you need from the professional herself. It doesn’t matter if you are a new driver or if you just moved to this state. Donna is amazing at her job and trust me she will help not only to get your license but to be a good and responsible driver for life. Fantastic experience: This school is great at explaning to the student how to drive. I go there and absolutely love it, no other place I’d rather go, Donna is also an amazing instructor! She teaches you one thing over and over again and the things you’re are afraid of she goes through them many time every lesson so you find out that it’s not bad at all!
