Fantastic experience: I was initially very anxious about learning to drive and had a rough start with my lessons, but I ended up passing my road test on my first try. The driving lessons are well-paced, accomodate to your schedule, and drill in the needed skills to allow you to drive well. The instructor was kind, patient, and gave me detailed instructions and feedback. I feel that Joy Driving School goes above and beyond to make sure that you are more than prepared for the test and driving in general.

Fantastic experience: I applied to this school since one of my friend recommended. glad I did bc instructor helped me throughout the whole process, giving me tips and instructions to pass the test. was able to pass my test on first try with instructor's guidance! The instructor, Kevin Oh, makes scheduling weekly classes smooth and easy with quick communication via text message. He will ask your schedule a week prior so it won't interfere with your existing schedules. During driving lesson, he will go over same concept or how to do certain things over and over again, until you fully understand without making you feel stupid. I had hard time grasping concept of parallel parking, which he repeatedly explained to me in different ways, and would advise how it can be improved on by giving me feedbacks. Overall, had really great experience with Joy Driving School!

My driving skill was horrible bc I had a crazy schedule at work and couldn't t practice a lot, but I could have classes at this School. He made a schedule for me, even if early in the morning. I recommend this school. Someone has a crazy schedule and no clue about driving a car; they need to practice a lot!!

Fantastic experience: It was my first time driving, so as a beginner it was hard to grasp and scary. But my instructor Kevin Oh, guided me and taught me how to make proper turns and was pretty optimistic in terms of the things I needed to fix. I did fail my first road test but that was my fault for the wrong judgement of spatial awareness. But even when I failed, he was reassuring and helped me work on the things I needed to work on to help me pass my second time. Also it helped that he was very encouraging and really evaporate the nervousness upon taking the exam. Would highly recommend Kevin as an instructor!

Fantastic experience: Mr. Peter was my instructor. He's so patient and kind. I was anxious about the road test and he boosted my confidence by giving me praise/positive comments, providing extra practice, and sharing useful tips. I communicated with Mr. Peter through text messages and he replied quickly. They also have another office in Flushing. Call or text before you stop by the office because instructors are usually all out for driving lessons.

Negative experience: 친절한 강사님과 꼼꼼한 수업으로 무난하게 합격했습니다. 연습및 시험 스케쥴도 잘 맞춰주셔서 편안하게 진행했네요. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ (2/6/2023 수정 및 추가) 운전 연수는 친절하고 꼼꼼하게 잘 해주셨는데 대체 오피스 쪽은 뭐가 문젠가요. 처음 접수할때부터 주소가 변경됬다고 다 알려드렸는데 운전면허가 결국 옛날 주소로 발급됬네요. 연습 스케쥴도 시험 D -10 까지 연락이 없어서 먼저 연락하니까 그제서야 일정 잡아주시더니 제일 처음부터 강조했던 변경된 주소가 아니고 그냥 옛날 주소로 처리하셨나 보네요.

Fantastic experience: 5/5, I highly recommend Joy Driving School. I passed on my FIRST try with this school/instructor after failing with another school. The instructor was excellent. He was kind, patient, funny, thoughtful, and extremely helpful. He always picked me up on time for our lessons and was able to schedule a road exam at a test site near my house within one month of me initially reaching out to him, which was impressive since it's so difficult to schedule a road test in New York--let alone one near the client's house. I strongly suggest booking a 45-60 minutes practice session on the day of the road exam. He calmed my nerves with positive praise, let me practice what I felt like I needed to (parallel parking), and by the time I went to the road test site, I was calm and confident. I couldn't be more grateful for the instructor. THANK YOU JOY DRIVING SCHOOL!!

The instructor was extremely flexible and understanding about my limited availability due to school and worked with me to coordinate times for lessons. They also took care of the scheduling for the road test, the 5-hour certification course, etc. It would be very helpful to have some prior driving experience before taking classes, but regardless, the instructor was very amiable and informative.

Although I was nervous, the instructor made sure I was fully prepared and after a month of practicing I took my road test. They handled all the scheduling for me and all I had to do was show up to practice and drive. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: This is school is amazing!!! I passed test today . I went to another school and failed two times. And I came to Joy driving school and I passed my test. My instructor explained me everything and all details. I’m so happy. If I come to this school from beginning I would passed my first time . And prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this school .
