911 Driving School - Seminole

Negative experience: I used 911 driving school for my 2 kids prior to getting their license. I bought a 6 lesson package for each. Used 6/6 for one, and 3/6 for the other. Pros: It was nice to have a professional driving instructor "break the seal" with my novice drivers with skills like changing lanes for the first time, going on the 417, etc. Overall, they were both able to gain confidence with their driving. They also were able to do a "practice test" with the instructor prior to taking the road test. Cons: 1. During the very first lesson, the instructor told my child "Do NOT turn your head to check your blind spot, rather use the blind spot mirrors. After the lesson, I asked it this was a new concept. He said no, he just tells them to use the blind spot mirrors so they don't turn into the lane they are looking into. I pointed out that not everyone has one. He said "They are $1". I said, "What if they rent a car?"..... and he shrugged. Hopefully he has changed his method to represent safe instruction. 2. After having one lesson, it was confirmed that the instructors do not have a curriculum, nor a check list, nor a documentation system for what was practiced during each lesson. When we had the next lesson with a different instructor, they relied on the student's report for what they had worked on prior. With each new lesson, the instructor said they needed to "assess" their driving skills (vs build on them immediately) and my children were asked "what have you already done". 3. It was VERY difficult to find times that coincided with my kids' schedules. (They are in school full time with after school activities). Schedules were often not released until a week or two in advance, and even then, there was little availability.) It was recently communicated by the instructor that they have been down to one instructor for quite some time now. This explains the difficulty in scheduling. The plus side is that it helped with consistency and progression from lesson to lesson (with my one child that completed their package of 6) since there was only one person teaching them. In summary- my children definitely gained confidence in their driving skills with 911 Driving School- Seminole, however, due to the combination of: no curriculum, lack of documentation of skills practiced/mastered, lack of carryover with instructors (when they have more than one) and the GREAT difficulty in scheduling, I wish I had used a different school.

Negative experience: Beware!! New out-of-state ownership. Make sure you get lessons scheduled before paying. They only let you see the schedule of available lessons after you pay. Very limited availability unless you want 7am lessons. I found the owner to be very unaccommodating and insulting.

Fantastic experience: Did one lesson with joe and passed on my first try he was caring and nonchalant the whole time , the most coolest dude you could meet

Fantastic experience: Omg, my daughter had a nice time with her instructor. The instructor went out of his way to give her advice afterwards & pointers on how to pass the actual road test, def great people that work here! Would def recommend!

Fantastic experience: Our daughter took driving lessons here and I was very impressed. The instructors are friendly, calm, and patient -- everything you would want in an instructor for someone who is anxious about getting out on the road.

Negative experience: I used 911 Driving School for my older daughter two years ago, when it was under different management. We had the most amazing experience. We couldn’t wait to sign up again with my other daughter. After hearing about a situation between the new management and a friend of mine, I will not be using this school or recommending it to any of my peers. The way the situation was handled with my friend was not professional at all. Immediately threatening a client to be kicked out of your school instead of trying to resolve a problem via a phone call shows a lot of inexperience in the management world. Very disappointing.

Fantastic experience: Awesome school this is the place to come if you want your license officer Charlie is great taught me a lot of driving tips after four lessons I was able to pass my road test

Fantastic experience: Absolutely loved Sharon. She was such a considerate driving instructor and really helped me overcome my driving anxiety in just a few hours. She really knew how to get you to think on your feet and I loved the driving tips that she would give. I would take another class just for the lovely company!

Fantastic experience: I love this school. I did one lesson with Joe and he was awesome. Very kind and taught me tips when it comes to driving. I took the test with this school to use their car and we practiced before the test too. Gladly I passed on my first time. Reasonable price and worth the learning. Receptionists are kind too.

Fantastic experience: I signed up with 911 driving school after seeing one of their cars on the road. I did a session with Dave and the other with Joe. They are extremely professional and are amazing instructors. One of the biggest takeaways for me was just how comfortable and relaxed they made me feel during the lessons. I highly recommend 911 driving school! P.S. Dave and Joe, you guys are awesome!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Took a few lessons with Sharon and Neal, they were very communicative and friendly. I passed on my first try!!

Negative experience: My daughter did 11 hours of lessons- never learned to park a car, back out of the driveway or 3 point turns. A bit disappointing considering the amount of money spent.

Negative experience: I contacted this business to find out what classes would be best for my child. I wasn't asked any questions and immediately told a price over a 1000 dollars. When I laughed and told her that wasn't doable and instead of answering the questions about the 3 month package she told me they offered payment plans. How about this ask the person on the phone some questions instead of pushing an expensive class. It pretty much sold me of going with a different company that shows they care about the customer and not the bottom dollar.

Fantastic experience: I am so happy and relieved that we decided to go with 911 driving school to teach my daughter how to be a good confident driver. Sharon was very kind and a great teacher. THANK YOU!

Fantastic experience: My son who is in the Army surprised me with a visit and on a short notice needed to get his drivers License to be able to drive vehicles on post. All of the DMV's were full due to COVID and Rob was able to get my son an appointment to take his Drivers test the very next day I called. He also was able to pick him up that night to practice the day before he took his test. Rob exceeded our expectations and came through for us very last minute and was able to practice with my son the night before and morning of. He was polite, very professional and patiently took his time explaining every detail of what is expected on the driving test. I recommend you see Rob at 911 Driving School. Also he was a previous Police officer in the UK so his experience is top notch!!! Thank you

Fantastic experience: I rarely post reviews but I cannot recommend this service enough! They helped me with my drivers license test but more so prepped me to be a good and safe driver. Rob is extremely knowledgeable and a wonderful instructor who helped me gain confidence while driving. 911 Driving school is definitely worth the investment.

Fantastic experience: They are the Best I would say, as they are not only trying to make you pass the test but they train you to be a better driver in US. Especially for a person like me who came to US from another country, where there is no strict road law and Stop sign ;), I would recommend to take classes from 911(Robert). The way in which they have designed their classes will help you build confidence while driving alone. I was trained to drive in small street, busy intersection, High way and Inter state during my training. Believe me clearing driving test in Florida is easy but learning to be a safe/better driver needs a good teacher and you will definitely find one in 911 Driving School.(Rob). It's a worthy investment I would say. :)

Fantastic experience: They not only want you to pass the exam, but also be a safe driver long after you obtain your license. I was referred by an old classmate to try out 911 and they taught me well. They were courteous and professional, while showing confidence in my own ability to pass the exam. Truth be told, I was livid and furious at myself for not passing the first time, because I had the right people, right company, right car, but didn't pay attention to the small details in turning that made such a big difference. It's a year later, and finally after years of being discouraged from others, and myself, I gained enough funds to go back with 911, and really try to improve my driving after each critique and compliment. Today, I got my license, and I would recommend 911 to friends, family, strangers, anyone who needs it. Ecen after I got my license, I was still being schooled on how to navigate the roads better while construction is going on, and got tips on how to start car and car insurance shopping. They really do believe in you, even when you don't believe in yourself.

Fantastic experience: It was a great experience learning to drive with 911 driving school. Sharon all ways accommodated any changes in the schedule for sessions. My instructor Neal was exceptionally supportive and very patient to teach all the nuances of driving on US roads. He did all he could to boost my confidence and prepare me for the test. I got my license in first attempt. Will highly recommend Neal and 911 driving school to my friends and colleagues looking for driving lessons.

Fantastic experience: I want to thanks Rob from the bottom of my heart to accept the challenge with my son. Rob is amazing!!! We called multiple agencies to taught my son who is deaf and nobody wants to do it because of this, when I called 911 Driving School they call me right away and accepted to teach my son. I am very proud and grateful for this company to accept the challenge with my son, something that other company didn't do. Had twin boys who both went through the program at varying levels and both were successful with the training and getting their licenses. Neal was an exceptional trainer and Sharon at the office is so easy to work with on scheduling and payment. I would highly recommend this and do to my friends and family that need driver training for license testing! They even pick up at the house for the test and drop back off afterwards! What a great convenience! Overall, a wonderful program.

Fantastic experience: I've been afraid to drive for a while, but the 911 driving school of Seminole County changed everything for me in just 3 days. My instructor was comforting and made small jokes to help me feel excited to drive, I went from barely navigating through a parking to finding myself leisurely driving down I-4. I had no confidence in myself that I could ever drive a car and get a license. Fantastic experience: My experience with the 911 Driving School of Seminole County was really good. I was up and running on highway the day I got my license. Robert was my instructor and he taught me all the basics and tricks that will really help your driving. I always had my concerns driving on the highway but he really helped me overcome that. He makes sure that you are really comfortable behind the wheels and he suggests the number of hours that you would need to be comfortable driving and believe me he is really honest about it. Robert is really friendly and your confidence level will be really high at the end of the course. I absolutely recommend this school.

Fantastic experience: Great Lessons, very nice and patient instructor!

Fantastic experience: Sharon & Rob are both ex-UK Police officers. Rob is an ex-pursuit driver and has undergone rigorous training and testing to become part of that team. Given their previous jobs, they are calm under pressure (maybe unlike us parents) and they make our kids feel at ease. They have dual control cars, so if something does go wrong, the instructor can take control immediately and avert the danger. Our two daughters aged 15 & 17 have developed quickly and we now allow them to drive our cars under our supervision. I would never have done that without them first taking driving lessons and we are very pleased we chose 911. I would highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Have moved to Florida I had instructions from Sharon prior to taking my test. I would certainly recommend her as she was an excellent instructor and assisted me passing my test first time. This is a reliable company and will recommend to my friends and family for any future driving.

Fantastic experience: I learned to drive a bit later than the average student and I have to say not only was the experience an absolute pleasure, but also a very professional and respectful one as well. Robert Persad, the instructor I had, was very qualified (overqualified in my opinion) and is one of the nicest people you could have the privilege to learn under. He was more than willing to work around my schedule, and provide both the instruction, and confidence I needed to be prepared for the roads and the driving exam. Highly recommend the service provided because it is one of the best opportunities to gain the skills needed and required to be a great driver. Check them out!

Fantastic experience: An excellent driving school! I passed my road test after taking just one class and a short lesson before my test. My instructor, Ms. Sharon, was extremely helpful, patient, and positive while teaching me. Not only did she help me learn the skills I needed to pass the test, I was also taught how to parallel park and do other important life saving maneuvers. Contacting the school was also simple and convenient. Calls were answered quickly and emails were replied within minutes after sending. I am very satisfied with the school's service and grateful that I chose 911 Driving School!
