Negative experience: The classroom part is okay but it took my daughter two months to get one driving session scheduled. If it takes that long to get driving hours scheduled then they need to enroll fewer students. I used to recommend them, but not any longer. Update: It has been over a week since my daughter finally finished her 6 driving hours with the instructor (3 months after taking the class) and they still have not sent her paperwork to the MVA. They told us it would take 3 days. They hardly ever answer their phone and when they do, they always say someone will have to call you back. No one ever does. Worst customer service ever! I would give zero stars if I could.

Negative experience: I booked and paid a deposit for the extra Behring the wheels package they had and it took 2 months to get a hold of someone to actually book my driving session. I kept getting someone telling me that someone would contact me but I had to keep calling them myself. I never got a receipt for my deposit because the person who booked me said there was something wrong with his email system. It was just a very unprofessional experience and honestly a waste of my time. 2 stars because someone TRIED to help me at the last minute but it was too late I was over it.

Negative experience: I enrolled in this school (Laurel location)thinking that I was going to be getting the service that I paid for. Boy, was I wrong. The class was wack. The instructor could barely be understood, and when I would ask him to repeat what he said he would get an attitude and act like it was MY fault that I didn't speak his language. He was all over the place. He even fell asleep once. He also dismissed the class LONG before it was time. I attended the class TWICE and asked for my money back. I got the run around for 2 months and then I was told that the money wasn't even in America. They had sent it to where they were from. It took forever to get it back. My advice, DON'T give this school your money. They don't care about you passing as long as they get paid. They just don't care.

Negative experience: It took me months to schedule my behind the wheel hours. On my second appointment it was double booked and I had to come back a separate time. One of my instructors was also very rude.

Positive experience: Shahida Ahmed is a saint. Her teaching is impeccable, she made me feel so comfortable I think I’m going to try out for nascar. The school on the other hand was an absolute headache to deal with. Nobody knew anything, they cancelled 2 of my appointments without notification, the list goes on. But that’s where Shahida saves the day and makes everything go smoother

Fantastic experience: I had Ms. Shahida Ahmed as my driving instructor and there was never a day in class that I wouldn’t end up in a fit of laughter. Ma. Shahida combines humor and education in the best way which helps to alleviate the monotony behind learning Maryland’s rules of the road. She is also able to intertwine her personal experiences within the lesson—an attribute in which I greatly benefitted from. I was enthusiastic to come to class, even after a tiring day at school. Thanks to SP Driving Academy and, especially, Ms. Shahida, I am now able to recall the most arbitrary of driving facts. Thanks Ms. Shahida!

Negative experience: Choosing SP driving academy was the worst decision I made this year. I attended Mr. Davis class in the Laurel center. He seemed more interested in watching/showing gory YouTube videos that had no correlation to the lesson of the day. He often slept in class, and got real upset when I’d challenge his lazy attitude to the program. I couldn’t wait for the program to end, it was an absolute waste of my time & money. It was hell scheduling my ‘behind the wheel lesson’, no instructor was available at the Laurel center. Both lesson fell short of my expectation and I did not get my money’s worth. Needless to say I failed the driving test. The school isn’t passionate about helping you pass your driving test, all they care about is your money. If you are considering choosing SP driving school- take my advise and go ELSEWHERE.

Negative experience: Hello PAYPAL, I paid $350 for 36 hours of MVA Certified Training for my drivers liscense. The classes were supposed to start on August 13, for the first two days of classes Mr. Leonard Davis and Miss Z Bello made us watch YouTube videos, that we’re not instructional, they were YouTube video such as “Canada’s worst driver” which were 45 minute clips. I expressed my discomfort, and was told that things will be better. On day three when I entered the classroom, I had a new driver instructor Home could not answer any of my questions, and got agitated and Verbally abusive when I asked questions. I then went and express my discomfort to Leonard Davis and requesting a refund which is when he decided that on the following day he would take me to a different location for a different class (Driver improvement— even though i paid for driver education) for that day. He also asked me to be nice to Mr. Bolaji (the instructor) because he was still NEW and in training. I expressed my discomfort about the fact that I am paying for driver education and they wanted to take me to driver improvement class, to which then Mr. Leonard Davis says “$350 must be a lot to you because you keep on talking about it“ which i felt was rude and inconsiderate ESPECIALLY because I am the paying customer. And that was discrimination against me due to my financial situation which is why I than proceeded to ask for a refund again which is when Zee Bello told me I needed to wait for her to visit the location in Lanham to start my process for a refund. I called her 6 hours later and she told me she had not needed to leave to process my refund but she hoped I would just “calm down and deal with the class for the remaining time” I told her I couldn’t and I wished for the refund process to start, she asked me to visit the Laurel office again to sign paperwork for the process to start for my refund. On the evening when i went to the office, Zee wasn’t there, she had been emailing and whatsapping the other office worker my paperwork. Mr Leonard Davis had been at the location and he continually yelled and screamed at me, saying very rude things and that he “bent over backwards” to help me, referring to taking me to Driver Improvement class, or referencing the idea that he would cut my class by 6 hours so i could take my driving test on time. Overall, I requested my refund in writing to their office by August 20th and they hadn’t done anything which is why I than contacted paypal.

Fantastic experience: Ms.Shahida is a very excellent teacher that helps and listens to your questions. She is very helpful and funny, And a fun teacher to be around. I really enjoyed my two week classes with her.

Also she teaches us the proper way to drive and makes sure we know everything we’re supposed to do and not do behind the wheel, and she’s very Friendly and kind and make everyone happy to come to class. Also she asks about how u are and makes sure your ok and not stressed.
