Negative experience: My daughter totalled our car the day she got her permit after passing her courses and "doing great" with her driver's on their drives. I'm not sure how difficult situations they practiced with her...like going on and off the interstate. Also the conversations had with her during drives didn't quite seem appropriate. Fantastic experience: DON'T LISTEN TO THE OTHER REVIEWS. I absolutely loved going here to get my license in March-April 2022! Mr Josh was an amazing instructor and made me feel comfortable driving even looking at the car manual to figure out how to move the steering wheel so I had more leg room (I'm 6 ft) His class was super easy to pay attention to and if you actually paid attention you could easily pass. Definitely send your kids here! && CHECK FOR AVAILABLE SPOTS DAILY / MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY!!! The school is amazing, so the spots get grabbed up quickly, and sometimes instructors will decide to take on extra so more people can get their drives done! All these reviews stinking the place up, but if you don't get a spot, that's a you problem. Because I know for a fact that if they can make it work, they will. They took on extra slots in a day so I could do all 3 of my drives the same day since I lived an hour away. So if they turn you down, either it's 100% not possible or you're being a complete A hole. ⬇️⬇️ proof I've gone here and passed

Fantastic experience: I am a repeat customer for Academics of Driving. My oldest and middle son went through the program 2 years apart. While I was satisfied with my the 1st experience, scheduling the drives wasn't easy. This time it was very easy. At the end of the classes he was asked to turn in 6 possible dates and his drives were scheduled that day. Each step was smooth. The staff is very helpful. Will be going back for my last son in a few years.

Fantastic experience: All these one star reviews aren’t accurate, everyone here was professional & they have great instructors, would recommend to anyone, finished the course within 2 weeks of starting it. If your kids are gonna do driver’s ed, let them do it here.

Negative experience: Extremely unprofessional. On three different occasions I had to show them a copy of the receipt to prove that the driving lessons were paid for. This is because they entered the information in correctly into there system. They gave me attitude, mainly the man Josh, who was very disrespectful to my wife and I. I would recommend to find another driving school to bring your children to and if you do choose this school make sure to keep your recipes. Lastly be sure to not let your child take any lessons from Nadine. She was very rude and intimidated 2 of my children when they drove with her.

Fantastic experience: Get coach singer as your driver, he's an amazing guy who isn't afraid to talk to ya while yall cruise around.

Fantastic experience: This school was one of the first on the Northshore and their experience really shows. My kids have gone through the classroom and driving parts of the program and I really feel it helped then with getting road worthy.

Negative experience: Takes your money and cant even schedule the driving portion of the schooling for months. You can call or email and get no response for weeks. You go see them and no one there has any information or it's not their job. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!

Negative experience: DO NOT USE THIS SCHOOL!! My son scheduled his class in July. Everything went fine, until I picked him up and he told me he has to schedule his drives online. When you go online, there are no available spots open for MONTHS! Finally got to schedule in October. I didn't say anything to them even though I thought it wasn't right. However, today they sent him an email that 1 of his driving times have been cancelled. He will have to log in to their portal to schedule another day. How do you get to take money and not deliver on the services? That's theft in my opinion.

Fantastic experience: This place was amazing. All the instructors and staff were so nice and taught us everything we would ever need to know. They worked so hard to teach us and make a schedule that fit us. Absolutely the best place to learn how to drive on the Northshore.

Negative experience: The people running the school are extremely rude on every phone call; they’re of no help when attempting to register for drives (they never have any available anyway). They even went so far as to tell me they wouldn’t register my son for drives bc we hadn’t checked online enough. Then yelled at me when I thought he was speaking to me (it was directed to an employee) and I asked for clarification. We will NOT complete the course at this school. We’ll finish with a different driving school.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE!!! Try any other place in the area. Had multiple classes canceled and rescheduled. Never answers the phone. I am on month 4 waiting for class 4 which just got canceled. It will take you half a year to get your license at this place. Checked every 15 minutes for classes and they would just pop up filled in. Finally was able to get my last ones but of course they get canceled or rescheduled for a month later. AVOID AT ALL COST!!

Fantastic experience: I don’t know why there are bad reviews for this place... it’s awesome to say the least. The people are very kind and they really want you/your kids to pass their driving tests. I’ve been waiting to get my driver’s license for a couple years because I don’t like to drive. Academics of Driving changed my mind completely. The written test was super easy (they want you to pass) but you can’t be lazy. If you want your kid to pass, they need to pay attention in class. It’s as simple as that. As for the drives, they were amazing. I was extremely nervous for all of my drives, but when I got in the car I felt so much better. Mr. John and Mr. Josh are very good instructors. They made me feel comfortable and we talked full conversations for all of the four 2 hour drives. It really made me relax. For my final test, which was today, Mr. Mark was very relaxed and made me feel at ease while I was driving (and extremely nervous). As for scheduling, YOU HAVE TO CHECK THE SCHEDULE EVERYDAY. Yes. Maybe even twice a day. And guess what? That’s because they’re booked months ahead. Is that their fault? Nope. Just understand that lots of people are taking their kids here to get their license. If you can’t check everyday and don’t find a spot, that’s your fault. Be responsible. Don’t complain. It’s really annoying. I passed in less than two months. Why? Because I went to the website everyday more than once a day and I got myself scheduled. It’s pretty simple, people just want instant gratification. 100% would recommend this place to anyone who needs a license. Great business and great people.

Fantastic experience: I totally recommend Academy of Driving! The staff is extremely amazing and polite! The class instructor "Ms Debbie" is very informative and ensure you understand everything so well that you will pass your first go round! If I can rate the classroom aspect, it'll definitely get a 10 out of 10 from me! Each driving instructor was just so perfect! I was able to get through my drives quickly (all 4 of them) and was able to schedule the road test the very next day. They are at the top of their game! Looking forward for my son to have the same great experience. Thank you all for being so kind and amazing! PS. I cried after I past my road exam "Happy Tears"

They are highly friendly and treat you like family. Its incredible the understanding that they have. You do not meet too many people like them.

Negative experience: I've been trying to schedule my son for the driving portion of the class, and every time that we check online for a class there is none available for 3 months. I've called multiple times over the past 3-4 months and asked for them to please schedule my son so that he can get his driver's license. Today, 12-14-2020, I called again and spoke with "Deborah" who stated that she was the owner and she blamed me for not checking every single day. She was very rude and stated, "It's your fault for not checking every day. If you only check weekly, you won't get scheduled." I explained to her that I've been checking weekly and the 3 months are filled with no available slots. Again, she stated, "It's your fault, you gotta check every day." Very rude. Their website told me to call them to schedule the driving lessons and I did, but they didn't allow me to schedule any driving lessons. All I got was the owner telling me that it's my fault for not checking the site every single day. Very poor business practices, especially when your site told me to call to schedule lessons and you didn't even schedule a lesson. The instructors were great, I don't blame them, but I blame the owner for not even scheduling my son for the driving portion and then blaming me for not checking every single day. As you can see from the schedule, there is no available slot and that's how it's looked since August 2020.

Fantastic experience: I did my adult driving course and 3rd party test here and the instructors are very nice and very through. They genuinely care about your safety as a driver and want to help you learn so that you can be the best, safest driver that you can be. From the class to the driver's seat, I'd say that going to Academics of Driving LLC is one of the best places you could go to learn to drive in the Convington-Mandeville area.

Fantastic experience: My 3rd child was going through the program when covid broke out. The staff worked hard to fit her in to finish her driving. They worked with us throughout the pandemic to get her license. If I had another child that needs this class they would go to this school.

Fantastic experience: I had AMAZING Instructors Mr. Dean, Mr. Randi, Mr. John and classroom instructor Mr. Mark . They were very helpful and kind to me. I was in a timeframe and urgently needed to complete my adult driving course as I had to move to Houston and so they worked with me and got me an earlier schedule. No matter who you are academics of driving will help you out

Fantastic experience: I went looking for a class that would give me the earliest start date. Academics of driving started the classes right away. Class was very informative, gave a lot of information. My friend took a different class 2 years ago and I told him about this experience and he also said he didn’t learn nearly as much. The driving instructors are very patient, even if you’re experienced they give you a little more information and let you know more about the road. That is why I give it 5 stars.

Negative experience: We had a good experience until we had to schedule the final drive. The owner was very rude and demeaning when I tried to work out a drive time for my daughter’s final drive. I was advised that I have to call everyday and hope I call before others to get a spot. When I questioned this process, he lost it on me. I understand that they are overwhelmed since reopening after the Covid shut down, but I think you still can handle customers (and people in general) with respect. I am appalled.

Fantastic experience: Great place to learn to drive. Very professional. Ask for Coach Bob (Gegenheimer). He's the best instructor.

Negative experience: Worst driving school around. They have caused so many issues and extra hidden payments that it has cost me nearly $500 to get my child a license. I do not recommend going here.

I would defiantly recommend Academics of driving to any parent who has a teen needing driving instructions. I will be sending my daughter here this year for her class as well.
