Parkside Driving School

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend! This is a great place if your parents need to work and can’t drive you to class. It’s all done on zoom. Super useful. For the payment, it’s monthly I believe, not all at once. I was a student that just finished the course. Way better than going in person for the classes. But the drives have to be done in person (obviously) 6 drives total. It’s from 14:00 (2:00 pm to 16:00 (4:00 pm or 16:00 (4:00 pm) until 18:00 (6:00 pm). 3 times per week (mon, tue, wed). Overall the best place to way to take drivers Ed in my opinion, and I’m sure others too. Definitely recommend going through parkside.

Fantastic experience: We went there for my wife’s driver's test and she passed her test 1st go. The instructor was nice, polite, and very patient per my wife while driving test. And I had personally gone to this place 10 years ago for my test as well and passed in 1st go as well.

Negative experience: Worst experience ever. I went to take my drivers license test. I was already nervous as is but the Proctor, Luis had to rudely point it out and was being quite passive aggressive. Going as far as insulting my intelligence. I didn’t end up passing thanks to him. Never going here again and never recommending it either.

Fantastic experience: My teacher Chris is the homie and made the test stress-free. The instructors on the drives are really nice and make you feel safe and in-control in the car.

Fantastic experience: As a student, I really enjoyed this drivers ed course. The main instructor Chris, did a very good job at keeping students interacted and focused. I definitely learned alot, and passed with a %96!

Fantastic experience: We recently had 2 children go through Parkside Driving School. Everyone we worked with was kind and professional- from the office manager, to the classes to the driving instructors. Our absolute favorite driving instructor was John W. He’s amazing! So patient and kind and knows how to teach these kids to be good drivers!

Fantastic experience: I had a pretty good time taking my test here—I can’t for the life of me remember her name, but the woman (she was in her 40s or early 50s, said she used to be a truck driver) who administered my road test was incredibly nice and made me feel comfortable in a stressful situation. I remember taking my lessons at A-1, and I wish I’d taken them here, as the people at A-1 were very rude by comparison in my experience. But anyway, yeah, great place! I’d recommend coming here.

Yes I did not pass my first few attempts But today I give thanks to the people at parkside for making sure i Understand the rules of the road Special thanks to the secretary cristina for scheduling me in and canceling my appt.when need be ,and to Sarah for not taking easy on me .Thanks to the Gentleman who did pass me on my 3rd attempt have a great day

Fantastic experience: Sarah was a very tough examiner and good at her job. I failed first time but took on board her comments, improved and came back to pass second time.

Negative experience: This place is horrible, more like a scam, was there on feb 14, 2023. To take drivers test , that tall, blonde (female instructor), treated me like an enemy not a customer(She is very , evil and rude. How she treated me l would not wish on anybody not even my worst enemy. (i would not recommend this place) I had to get my money back.

Negative experience: We called ahead to book a written examination with a language interpreter. The person we spoke to told us they can do language interpreters and booked us for 12pm. We arrived the day of the test and the two employees had no idea what was going on and said that they have never used language interpreters. Plus, they said they close for lunch at 1pm and we would only have an hour for the test. Why would they book us at 12pm without telling us about closing at 1? Also, the owner is the only person who can do anything for you. When calling for scheduling, they say "we will forward the information to the owner and they will contact you." What's the purpose of having office staff if only the owner can schedule? Unfortunately DOL has delegated testing to only 4 offices in Yakima.

Positive experience: Parkside Driving is a very comprehensive driving school, with great in-person customer service. They offer tests for permits and for licensing and the tests are well administered and the staff is courteous and friendly. They offer drivers testing to enrolled students and also to non-students. They have great flexible hours for drive tests and the instructors are very knowledgable. The only critique that I would have is that the building can get distracting due to people coming and going and telephone operations, and it is sometimes difficult to get an instructor on the phone as they are very busy each day. It is best to make appointments or ask questions in person. I recommend Parkside over other schools based on their in-person customer service.

Negative experience: This place is scam, a con even I've known 6 people go here for there first exam and they fail for following the drivers instructors instructions, they word what they want you to do in a way where once u do it they fail you and tell you to come again to pay more then what other driving schools charge for a test. I've known people come here and get failed then go to somewhere else like A-1 or fact and get passed this places just wants your money and sets you up for failure. These instructors are rude and don't even want to give you a chance the tall blond woman who's an instructor is the worse as she doesn't want to be there in her job witch u paid for and wants to end the test immediately so you can " come again" do not even try to come to a place like this instead go somewhere like Fact or A-1 where the instructors know there job and don't just want to take your money

Negative experience: This place is terrible my son go fora driving Test and the lady was insane she told muy son reversed and he was doing that and she said you wrong is done? Why? Is stupid she wants my son reversed in the Parkin lot and go straight really he was doing the correct way when you reversed see no cars and go I don’t think she not driving is insane what you think? She was right I not recommend this place they stilling you money Don’t G To this Place

Fantastic experience: Really fast and thorough communication!

Positive experience: Great place, amazing people, great customer service, although one thing that kind of annoyed me was i flunked due to Instructor error, i had my test Aug. 2nd and felt like i was doing amazing, until it came to the “park on a down hill” section where i should have passed, i stopped, turned the wheel to the RIGHT, put the car in park, and pulled the emergency break, then when we got back to the school, instructor claimed i turned to the left (which i know i didnt cause i had practiced each day 5 days prior) then proceeded to try and argue with me when i tried to confront, but other then that i would recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: My daughter took her driving test here. John the instructor made her feel so comfortable which helped with her nerves! We highly recommend Parkside. The staff is great as well. We first went to A1 and the woman there was rude and my daughter felt uncomfortable there so I asked my coworkers and they all told me about Parkside. We give Parkside an A+ Rating!

Fantastic experience: My son started the summer of 2020, at that time the classes were videos that he had to watch. That worked well for my son. I was very happy with what my son learned there, and I will be enrolling my other son there as well.

Positive experience: Quick as long as u do know what you are doing . They have a school for those in question.

Fantastic experience: I'm currently a student at park side at, I've been going so far for around 2 weeks now and what I can say so far is how Lovable the place and the people who work there are. Going into drivers Ed I wasn't sure if the instructors who work there would be any nice. However the first day of driving school was great my teacher/instructor was amazing, respectful, and just great all around. Every 10 min before class he'll put on music for us and let us talk. And half way through the class he gives us breaks. All around Parkside is a good driving school and I highly recommend it.

Negative experience: I’ve never felt so disrespected. I took my whole course at park side with the most rudest and disrespectful instructor. I can honestly say that I learned nothing from my classes, I simply passed the class by doing my studying on my own and teaching myself. I’ve heard countless instructors talk so bad about other students right in front other clients in the room !! This certain instructor could of handled a situation with so much more respect and in such a better matter. honestly worst service ever. the receptionist is nice though.

Negative experience: I have not been to the school but I have dealt with what I guessing to be one of the instructors. I was patiently waiting in line at the car wash (there is a sign asking you not to block the exit) when a guy got out of the passenger side of one of their cars. He walked up to my window and told me to pull forward or let them through to be next. I pointed out the sign and he tried to argue with me at first but once I basically had to spell it out to him he went back to the car and sat inside of it. If he is going to instruct people how to drive (not sure if the female driver was a client or not) he needs to learn a little patience while he waits. Not a good combination, an impatient person behind the wheel and teaching others to be the same way.
