Suncoast Safety Council: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Yaritza was super helpful especially in calling out of state for paper work. Kindly, helpful, and cheerful. Excellent service.
Thank you for taking the time to post this 5-star review. Yaritza frequently goes above and beyond to assist clients. We are glad you are pleased with the service she provided you.
Fantastic experience: Yaritza was awesome. She took her time to give me the right information and more. I appreciate all the help and can’t wait to finish this.
Thank you very much for taking the time to post a positive review about your experience with Yaritza. She is a valued member of our team and strives to provide excellent customer service. A compliment from a client means a lot and is appreciated!
Fantastic experience: Yaritza was absolutely amazing. She helped with absolutely everything I needed help with and all with a smile! Definitely a pleasure speaking with!!!
Thank you for taking the time for posting a complimentary review. We hope every client has a positive experience and we are glad to hear Yaritza provided that to you!
Fantastic experience: Dui class, instructor, Cindi- made the class very interesting, interacted with others and learned a lot! She is excellent!
Thank you very much for taking the time to post this complimentary review. We hope every client in our program has a positive experience and we are happy to hear that you did!
Negative experience: Level 1 DUI classes was fine. instructor was really nice and all but if you ever need any help don't bother calling them. Their phone system is so confusing and messed up and anytime I get through to anyone it is the most rudest person ever. every time they do not help they do not care they have an attitude with every word they speak. and act like we are ruining their day just by simply asking them a simple question. they keep transferring me to the wrong department and then getting mad at me for apparently calling the wrong department when I was transferred by someone else on the phone
I apologize for the difficulty you experienced through our phone system. Our intent is to provide options that direct you to the department you are seeking. Our records indicate you called and were transferred to the correct person. You left a voicemail. Within 15 minutes you called back again and got transferred to the correct department, rather than an individual person. You left a message there as well. Within 10 minutes of leaving that message you posted this review. I understand you may have been frustrated with the phone system, but you spoke to the same staff member both times and she was not rude to you. She connected you with the correct department to handle your request. Your call was returned within two hours and another certificate has already been placed in the mail for you.
Negative experience: You can attend all three classes, get your evaluation rescheduled due to lack of staff and still have to pay a provider change fee even though the change wouldn't be based off me doing anything wrong it's based off the treatment that I'd referred to you won't answer the phone.
Your evaluation was not rescheduled because of lack of staff, it was because your evaluator was out sick. As for calling the treatment provider, you informed us on 4/25 you attempted to call the treatment provider three times but only left a message for the first time on that day 4/25. You stated you were on a time frame so you were offered the option of choosing another treatment provider for the nominal fee of $15. You indicated that is what you wanted to do and we sent you the treatment provider list. If you want to remain with the treatment provider you originally chose and you do not receive a call back from them, please contact our office so we can address it.
Negative experience: Horrific. The counselor referred me for additional treatment despite being in recovery for 6 years. As someone who uses mental healthcare services and has embraced recovery being referred for additional treatment is incomprehensible. 0 stars -
Clients are referred to substance abuse counseling based on standardized risk criteria set forth by the State. You met the risk criteria that requires substance abuse counseling which is why you were referred. We did not render services reflective of one or zero stars because you do not agree with outcome. We complied with state guidelines.
Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would. The staff is completely incompetent and will do nothing to help you. I would definitely try avoiding this school at all cost.
You spoke to several of our representatives who informed you of the residency rules the state requires. Unfortunately, we told you we could not allow you to register for our program because you provided a Pasco County address and you and your mom told us you are living in Pasco. Suncoast Safety Council must comply with the state rules we informed you of and we were unable to satisfy your request to attend the DUI program in Pinellas. Though you did not agree with what we told you, we provided good customer service and gave you the information for the Pasco County DUI Program.
Fantastic experience: Realy good counselor here ex trauma sergon layed back. Trying his best to explain. Difficult addiction. People don't think. Drugs affect there life was funny
Fantastic experience: I had a very pleasant experience. Everyone was nice & professional, and Briana was an absolute pleasure. They contacted me in a timely manner, I got all my things together and setup - if you adhere to the rules & guidelines they have set in place, you shouldn't come across any issues. It's quite easy to understand & everything is laid out in black and white, read what you're signing so you don't say later you didn't know!
Thank you very much for taking the time to post a positive review and for your comments. We strive to provide excellent customer service and we are glad you had a pleasant experience.
Fantastic experience: ***very knowledgeable, teacher is amazing, everyone is really nice, and I learned a lot. However, the state of Florida needs to tighten up and fix some of their little bogus rules that they make these people follow. Other than that awesome!!
Thank you for taking the time to post a positive review about our staff and organization. We are glad you enjoyed the course.
Fantastic experience: Courses went smoothly. I had an issue with the DMV (of course) about courses that I had completed YEARS ago, and they helped me with no hesitation. Recommend these guys for all your DUI related issues without a doubt. Best place around.
Negative experience: Their "risk" assessment is outdated and asks general questions that if you even answer yes to, they will recommend treatment. Weird that that DUI class instructor would say, "I dont care if you drink, just don't drink and drive" but if you admit to being a social drinker in their outdated questions for a risk assessment, you WILL be referred to counseling whether you need it or not.
Being a social drinker does not constitute a referral to counseling. During your conversation with the DUI Program Director yesterday, it was explained to you that there is much more to the outcome of your evaluation than reporting you are a social drinker. It was also explained that a referral to counseling is based on risk factors set forth by the State of Florida. We strictly adhere to the administrative rules and guidelines of the State. It is understandable that you do not agree with the outcome of your evaluation but the result was not only because you are a social drinker. What you reported the DUI instructor said has no bearing on the DUI evaluation results though our instructors do convey the important message that if you drink, not to drive.
Positive experience: It's driver school, DUI School, drug evaluation and treatment, so not a place people go because they want to. As far as court ordered, government sponsored, non-voluntary clientele places go it was typical, average. Not too bad. The people who worked here were friendly and professional so there is that.
Thank you for taking the time to post a compliment about our staff.
Negative experience: I won’t recommend it to anyone, they don’t care about the customer or their safety. There were spare tire before my car went to the shop. It will cost them $100 extra after they make at least $5000 from my claim, but they are very cheap and choose not to do it even if it is not safe to drive with spare tire. They simply don’t believe of second mile.
Robert, we have no record of you being a customer of ours. It seems you have posted this negative review for the wrong company. Please remove this negative review. Thank you.
Negative experience: Stay far away from this place if you can! Scheme. Frauds. What a joke they are.
We are a state licensed non-profit organization that has proudly served the community for over 50 years. In your disparaging comments you did not indicate your grievance. Your profile does not provide enough information to identify you so I can attempt to address it. Though we do not know your specific situation, we are required to enforce state rules and often that displeases clients. Please contact our office if you wish to have your complaint addressed.
Negative experience: How a business can have under 3 stars and stay afloat is a total joke. Money pit, scam
Unfortunately, you did not attend your scheduled appointment and were required to pay a reschedule fee to reschedule the appointment in accordance with state guidelines that we are required to follow. You paid the fee and rescheduled your appointment.
Fantastic experience: I couldn't tell over the phone if it was Vanessa or Anessa, but she was extremely helpful and friendly on assisting me with some programs needed to obtain my hardship. If she didn't guide me in the right direction I'd be screwed!
Thank you very much for taking the time to post this positive review. We pride ourselves on serving our community and we are pleased to hear how helpful Anessa was to you.
Negative experience: very diprestfull and nasty the way the talk to people on the phone.
We apologize for your negative experience and strive to provide quality customer service. Upon notification of your review we attempted to investigate your complaint but we do not have enough information. We encourage you to contact our office at 727-442-0233 and speak to a supervisor to provide more specifics about your experience so we may look into this further. Thank you.
Negative experience: This has been a devastating experience for myself and my family. I had been charged for a DUI in 2017 and it had taken us a pretty long time to pay the State of Florida the fines I owed. After I paid my fines, I enrolled in the DUI program for my one and only DUI in December 2021. My final evaluation was today (February 28th, 2022), and I received my certificate. I was recommended additional and expensive substance abuse treatment for a problem I had 5 YEARS AGO!!!!! This is the definition of extortion through a public/private partnership. I passed all of the silly breathalyzers, my wife is 7 months pregnant, and I work up to 60 hours a week to provide. How is it that a private company can force you into drug treatment based on an ISOLATED incident from 5 years ago and revoke my right to travel if I deny the treatment? Look at my background. Where's all of the substance and abuse? My case should be reviewed. EDIT: My evaluator kept up with this "I was like you once" charade. It was NONSTOP! She even joked about being a "raging alcoholic too." She passed serious judgement on me and I took that personal, because that isn't who I am. EDIT 3: After some careful thought and expensive therapy, my review remains the same. I have completed my first group meeting and had pushed this issue there, as well. I am not on probation or any kind of supervision. My original legal documents do not mention additional treatment, outside of the 72-hour program. There is yet to be a response from Suncoast, so I will ask again: What authority does this private company have to mandate treatment, outside of the judicial system? My additional treatment requirements seem to be completely unknown to the State of Florida. Once again, I am not under supervision of the courts and I had no pending traffic infraction, related to this DUI. Will you write a letter to the State, suggesting that my license be revoked for not accepting additional treatment, which was not a requirement to begin with? How does that process work without an open criminal case?
Mr. Holcomb, I wish you had contacted our office so we could provide an explanation and discuss in a non-public setting.
Your court order states that you must complete DUI school and any required treatment. You met the state standardized risk criteria for substance abuse counseling. Completion of the counseling requirement is a part of the DUI Program, which is required by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles in addition to the court. Your case was reviewed and the disposition is correct. The accusation about what the evaluator said is completely false.
Fantastic experience: If you have to go through the process then if get Mr ivey you'll be ok he is a good instructor.
Thank you very much for taking the time to post this review. We are glad you had a positive experience.
Fantastic experience: Signed up for your class. I need this for my job and legal purposes. When I paid enrollment I was told someone would call me within 5 days. Today is the 9th day counting weekends and still haven't heard from anyone. Please reach out to me as soon as you can. Thank you, Dan Young.
Mr. Young, we apologize that we did not contact you within 5 business days as intended but we were delayed in trying to obtain the required paperwork from the 90’s from another county. However, it was the 6th business day (2/17) that we left you a voicemail. You returned our call the next day (2/18) and you have since completed the necessary paperwork to complete your registration. We contacted you the next business day (this morning 2/21) to schedule you and left a voicemail message.
Negative experience: Extremely rude and nasty employees. Doesn't have a working doorbell but will tell you that you are late and make you pay another 75$ and when you ask to talk to their boss Melissa will lie and tell you she is the boss. Very nasty people shouldn't have jobs...... edit... and the "owner is a living peice of trash" doorbell issues huh? Your trash you want another 75 bucks how bout you fix your trash doorbell and get a real job where you're not harassing people and milking every dollar you can from them for what exactly? What do yall do again? Trash
The doorbell was acting up but it was less than 1 minute from the time you arrived until the time the door was answered. You arrived for your 10a appointment at 10:17. Melissa did not lie, she is a boss. You were provided and signed rules and regulations and a late policy stating that if you were late you would not be seen for your appointment and would have to pay a reschedule fee. The staff was not in appropriate in any way, just enforced the rules.
Negative experience: Beware is SunCoast Safety Council. I enrolled for my first DUI and I have been dealing with these liars and manipulators for almost a year. Did my initial 15 hours expected to get my license afterwards. They said I needed more treatment so I enrolled and now they tell me it will take up to 3 weeks for their supervisor to approve it! No license yet. This business is dirty and disrespectful. They threatened to put a hold on me getting my license if I don't complete their program. Stay away from SunCoast Safety Council
Mr. Lambuth, you enrolled in our program in April 2021 and have failed to complete the treatment requirement twice. Most recently, you completed treatment but your provider did not send the required paperwork. We received the correct paperwork just yesterday (11/23) and it is awaiting review. Paperwork is reviewed in the order in which it is received which can take up to a couple of weeks. The accusation that we threatened to put a hold on your license if you don’t complete the program is false. We have no authority or ability to do that. Once enrolled, completion of the entire program and any required treatment is required or you are not eligible to have your license reinstated per the Dept. of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
Negative experience: The DUI evaluation was a joke said I needed treatment. While currently in treatment, they did not accept my private therapist as valid wanting to push me into expensive Rehabilitation or Salvation Army TREATMENT that is based on the antiquated 12 step model The evaluation was not based on DSM 5 Substance Use Disorder and talking to others EVERYBODY gets referred to "TREATMENT " The so called "Driving Classes" were a joke she quoted the "Big Book " of AA Bill W. and Dr Bob continued to use the term "Alcoholic and Alcoholic " repeatedly and false statistics that were proven as false with a quick search. The Straw that broke the camel's back was a false statistic regarding hereditary Pre disposition on Native Americans and Irish Americans. I'm BOTH I've had to hold my breath and keep this inside me for about 9 months out of fear of retaliation.
Suncoast Safety Council does not push clients to a particular treatment provider. Clients choose from a list of approved providers who have memorandums of agreement in accordance with state guidelines. If a client is currently in treatment or has attended prior treatment subsequent to the DUI, the client is asked to sign required release forms in order for Suncoast Safety Council to obtain the required documentation to determine if the treatment and the provider are acceptable and meet state requirements. Unfortunately, there are circumstances in which treatment or the provider is not accepted. It is not true that everyone gets referred to treatment.
As for the class, there is course content that must be delivered as well as mandatory videos the state requires are shown as part of the curriculum. Suncoast Safety Council is aware some of the information is outdated and we have expressed our concerns to the state. Unfortunately, Suncoast Safety Council is not permitted to choose the content.
Suncoast Safety Council is concerned about the statement that you fear retaliation and has no knowledge of what you are referring to. Suncoast Safety Council does not have enough information to investigate your case specifically with the name connected to the review, so we encourage you to call the office at 727-442-0233 to discuss further.
Negative experience: They went out of their way to make sure that they couldn't help me in any way. They have helped me decide that this world is done with me. And they've helped me decide that I'm done with this world.
Mr. Speckner, please call our office tomorrow morning. We would like to discuss this matter with you further - 727-442-0233.
Fantastic experience: Suncoast safety school is good. They are friendly DMV road test I passed through a one time because of them. They are absolutely perfect driving school. I love it thank you suncoast safety school to pass me a road test
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave feedback! We are dedicated to giving quality education that will build a foundation for positive and safe driving career. Congratulations on passing the test!
Negative experience: Before the final day of class, I receive a phone call that class will be cancelled. Due to the fact that an individual in class was knowingly COVID +. They are very quick to test your alcohol level prior to class, but do not check your temperature prior to being in a small classroom with 10 people for 8 hours? Many businesses have implemented this easy prevention method since the pandemic. In addition, after notifying me of this I was told "I'm sorry, you can go get tested if you want". Perhaps they could have the courteousy of providing resources and available testing if desired. Also, "we're not sure how we're going to make up the 8 hours remaining, we'll let you know". Highly unprofessional.
Suncoast Safety Council’s COVID-19 safety protocols prioritize the health and safety of all students and faculty. Because of these diligent procedures, the immediate decision to cancel the remainder of the class, following a student reporting his positive COVID-19 test result, was deemed the best course of action. The student did not attend class when he was knowingly positive COVID-19, he learned his test result between the scheduled days of class.
The classroom setting was significantly reduced in accordance with recommended guidelines. The classroom where the class was held is a large classroom that normally seats 32 and this class had 10 (one student per table). Seating was arranged to allow strict 6 foot spacing between every student. All students and staff wore face coverings and asked by the instructor if they were experiencing an symptoms of illness. It is most unfortunate the student who tested positive answered no to that question. Another student did express she wasn't feeling well and she was dismissed and not allowed to enter the building. There is also a notice posted on the front door of the building that states guidelines for entrance and one of them advises if you are feeling ill you are not permitted to enter the building. There are numerous credible sources that have reported temperature testing is not effective because not all individuals experience fever as a symptom, nor will it identify individuals who are asymptomatic.
Upon being notified by the student who tested positive we immediately notified all students in the class as that was most important. However, at that point we had not had any time yet to determine how the required remaining hours of the class would be satisfied, which is what we told you and why we said we would get back to you. You posted this review before 1 business day had passed. You did not express any concerns when we spoke to you by phone and we would have gladly discussed them with you.
The decision to get tested is a personal choice and testing information is publicly available. Here is the link for information on testing in Pinellas County https://covid19.pinellascounty.org/testing. You may also contact the health department at 824-6900 for more information or if you have any concerns. We consulted with the health department and there were no further recommendations about how the situation was handled and they commended the preventative and responsive actions that we have taken.
This is an unprecedented situation that we did our best to handle by prioritizing the health and safety of everyone.
Fantastic experience: I have to give Brandy Howard and the staff at Suncoast Safety Council a 5 star rating. I acquired a DUI and had no idea on how to go about my situation as well to progress with the mistake I made. Brandy really stepped up and immediately called to help me to keep moving forward in the right direction. I truly admire great customer service as we all know it's getting harder these days. I can't thank you enough for all that you do to help others, job well done. Sincerely, Mr. Alexander
Thank you so much for your feedback Robert! We appreciate you taking the time to send a good review.
Negative experience: Make sure you get all of receipts and keep all of your paperwork. On 2017 i had to take a class to reinstate my drivers license got my license back and discovered two months ago it was suspended due to me not taking a class. I spoke with someone in the facility and i dont remember her name but ahe stated that i dont have to take the required class because i already took it in the past. She dos not ask me for paperwork. So i assumed i didnt have. To do anything else. Wrong. I payed for everything and my license is still suspended. Now i have all my proof that i took the class and now i jave to wait to get my license due to an employee who made a mistake. The supervisors there are pleasant and friendly but they need to retrain some of the employess on how to provide better customer service because some are rude
Good afternoon Danny,
Thank you for taking the time to express your concerns. We strive for excellent customer service in every aspect of our organization.
Your complaint of information being mishandled has been noted.
Our records indicate you were unresponsive to the letter we sent you in 2017. When you contacted us in March 2020 we provided you with the necessary information to resolve this matter. We have talked with you several times since then and your situation is still in process and expected to be resolved.
It is unfortunate that your license was suspended however, we now have the required information and are processing it in the order it was received.
Fantastic experience: Amazing customer service!!
Negative experience: The lady at the front desk on March 23rd at 1:02 pm with fake orange blonde hair is extremely rude. Edit. I notice im not the only person to complain about this same person.
Negative experience: Charge you for a class then never show up to teach it , and steal your money.
Due to a highly unusual and unexpected situation with the instructor, a class this past weekend did not commence as planned. Unfortunately, our management team did not receive notification of the situation until after the class was scheduled to begin and the situation was addressed. We promptly contacted every student affected first thing Monday morning.
Upon notification of your Google review, we have been trying to investigate your complaint. However, the contact name on your Google account does not match any student enrolled in the aforementioned class.
We have proudly served our community for over 50 years and customer service is important to us. We take all dissatisfaction seriously and would like to know more about your situation to make sure it has been taken care of. Please contact us at 727-442-0233 to discuss your concerns.
Fantastic experience: As fun as it could be ig lol
Thank you Elijah! We appreciate your feedback!
Fantastic experience: Selecting a good company that can help you refocus on driving training is important. There are many to choose from. The course was very informative and our instructor, Rosemary was very good. She made our class feel at ease and used used her experience to help explain the valuable lessons we can take foward. I would highly recommend taking this class, and see if you can get Rosemary as your instructor. Mike
Thank you so much for our feedback! We will be sure to let Rosemary know about the positive impact she made.
Positive experience: Make sure if you get any information from them that you get it in writing and the employees name. Because they wont give you any leeway if they tell you the wrong information if they mess up. Now i have to pay a extra 115 to change my classes when suncoast told me to call on sept 9th when it was really the 7th. Edit: After reaching out to me they waived the class fee but i still had to pay to reschedule the evaluation.
We have been trying to contact you to resolve this matter. However, we have been unable to reach you via phone. We have tried to send an email as well. Please contact us to resolve the matter. Than you.
Fantastic experience: I went to Suncoast saftey council today to solve an issue that I had. The front desk ladies were kind, helpful, and assisted me to what I needed. I also want to give BIG thank you to Christin Carney for the amazing job that she does and for all the help that she provided me. Great customer service.
Thank you so much for your feedback - we appreciate it!
Negative experience: The spanish front desk lady needs to watch how she treats people. She treats you as if you were her kids. Only greets people she wants to greet.i walked in and she just looked at me standing at the door i said good morning she said it back as if she didnt really care. She asked for my name and as i was walking towards the desk she told me quickly to have a seat as if i were a child. Later on a guy walks in and she happily greets him wow!then the blond tall lady the gave me my evaluation was rude and she acted like she didnt have patience wasnt nice. After they get your money they pretty much dont care even the instructor for the class was testy and rude. They all need attitude checks suncoast please talk to your staff.
Providing excellent customer service is important to us and all complaints are investigated. After further exploration regarding our Customer Service Representative, we found she was working with a client in front of her at the time you entered the building.
All clients are equally important, and we extend the courtesy of undivided attention to everyone. While your additional concerns are from 3 years ago, we do not have enough information to investigate and encourage you to contact our office if you desire a resolution. Please call 727-442-0233.
Fantastic experience: Was a really great experience helped a lot with being nervous on the road and learned a lot !! Had a lot of fun driving and getting more and more comfortable with it.
Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback! We are thrilled you are getting comfortable behind the wheel and wish you all the best!
Negative experience: Rosemary was really a good teacher for the first 5 minutes and then she seemed to have some attitude against cigarette smokers, she seemed to really like authority and the power she holds to discipline adults, she also talked about her grand daughter grabbing a charcoal lighter for 10 minutes which had nothing to do with driving. Next time im doing it online
Upon notification of your Google review, we have been trying to investigate your complaint but we do not have enough information as to the nature of your business with Suncoast Safety Council. Customer service is important to us and we take all dissatisfaction seriously. We would like to know more about your situation. Please contact us at 727-442-0233 to discuss your concerns.
Negative experience: Extremely racist, I couldn't believe it! I'm a US citizen even though I wasn't born in the country. The director of that facility made me feel horrible, she even said that I was using 2 social security numbers and that is absolutely not true and when I pointed it out she said "she didn't mean to imply that..." It was a horrible experience! They tried replaying to my review still accusing me of making a mistake but ignoring the fact that she said that I had 2 social security numbers. If I made a mistake registering I would hope to get some kind of assistance resolving the issue, instead I was accused of having 2 socials and treated poorly not to mention she lie about me providing 2 numbers. That was never tha case!
Suncoast Safety Council believes in a good customer service experience for all clients. Although we regret that you are dissatisfied, we can assure you that race nor citizenship status do not affect the type of customer service we provide.
Because you registered twice, the information was entered into our system two different ways since one registration was online. The first registration, online, did not require a Social Security number therefore we could not locate your record that way. The last name you provided in person was different from the hyphenated last name used to register online. This is why we had difficulty locating your record.
After our Customer Service Department and Operations Manager were able to determine the correct information to query, your records were accessed. Suncoast Safety Council apologized for your trouble and you were promptly refunded.
Negative experience: The staff is very rude and unprofessional. They sent me someone elses person information and the processes are slow and uncoordinated. I get the impression that they see you as a criminal because of your past so they treat you will little respect and quality service.. Get a grip.
Upon notification of your Google review, we have been trying to investigate your complaint but we do not have enough information as to the nature of your business with Suncoast Safety Council.
Customer service is important to us and we take all dissatisfaction seriously. Please contact us at 727-442-0233 to further discuss your concerns.
Negative experience: If you guys want to be perceived as helpful and supportive I would not use Tiffany as an example. She failed to give me the proper papers I need and also, was very protective of her pen! Other stuff were friendly and helpful.
Positive experience: First & Foremost- My 3 * rating is not a reflection of services provided to me. I received 5 * service & was treated with with the utmost respect & professionalism. However the reason my rating is not 5 *s is because the reason I was there. ME. I did not want to promote a 5 * rating because I feel it is essentially saying that the reason I was there was no big deal when in fact it is one that is life changing. It's not meant to be pleasant. Accountability needs to be taken here . I understand the negative reviews. Yes, it is terribly expensive, inconvenient & not exactly a day at the park. But WE are the reason they are in business & have jobs. Because of US. Listen, I welcome all the money, appts, fees , schedule conflicts in the world, why? Because I am damn lucky to have been given the opportunity to do so. The alternative is SO much worse. I'm blessed I did not mame, kill or injure anyone or myself & not sitting in a jail cell, funeral or 6 feet under. If you are court ordered to attend you should say Thank You, NOT bashing the people that are there because of OUR mistake. Accountability is needed here. Take a hard look at who is responsible & stop deflecting. That is truly the 1st step
Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. Customer service is extremely important to us and your feedback is appreciated!
Negative experience: phone number is out of service.
We apologize you had difficulty contacting us. We have verified that both of our numbers fully operational. Those numbers are 727-442-0233 and 727-442-5121
Negative experience: Wish I could give 0 stars. Very unprofessional. Had my next door neighbor conduct my evaluation. When finding out they had more then one evaluator I called and expressed my concern. I was put on hold for 25 mins while the supervisor talked about laws of Florida. Took no interest in my concern of conflict. My address is on the paperwork and they expressed the evaluator doesn’t look at that on the paper. I was told I should have expressed I was uncomfortable with my NEXT DOOR neighbor asking about all my present and past alcohol/driving/drug problems. Not the fact that a professional worker would let me know I had an option to sit with a different evaluation representative. I’m embarrassed, and very uncomfortable with my living situation. This ladies been around my wife, in my back yard, and it’s made my living situation ashamed. Wish this place would take responsibility in being a professional organization, instead of lying by saying they were unaware of her knowing me. Which she claims she didnt / doesn’t know me.. Really disappointed by the unprofessionalism of their counselor and their supervisor for not resolving the issue.
We understand that you are dissatisfied with the outcome of your situation and have chosen to make your opinion public. However, Suncoast Safety Council takes any conflict of interest accusation seriously. All appropriate management personnel have reviewed your case and notes. Suncoast Safety Council staff practiced proper protocol in this situation and the allegations are without merit.
Negative experience: These people are the scum of the earth. All they care about is taking your money. At every turn they ask for more money. Fee for this and a fee for that. Find another driving school!

Negative experience: This place is a joke, dont waste your time, dont be fooled, this place doesn't care for your safety all they care for is your hard earned cash, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY with this people most courses can be taken online with other providers for a fraction of the cost, if forced to take a dui class, all I gotta say is good luck!, you will be treated like a felon in prison, staff is very disrespectful..
Fantastic experience: Incredibly friendly and professional staff.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write something! Your kind words are appreciated!

Negative experience: Very rude and unprofessional staff , laughing and joking around, eating and talking about how their computer's constant breakdown.. Right in front of everyone behind the desk!... Also they provide Spanish classes but the first form to fill out they only carry it in English .. Also processed to joke and laugh saying it's not there job to translate. Good thing the rest of the forms are Spanish.. Bad experience ..also no name tag's or dress codes , very hard to tell who walked in off the street or who works here

Positive experience: A word of advice: make sure to get your certificate Or proof of completion before leaving class Friday night. We were told it would be mailed but it wasn't so I had to drive There today Friday to get it. Its too important to leave to chance.
Positive experience: Excellent preparation for my daughter's driving test. She passed with flying colors! My only negative is that they are located so far from my home. The instructors were professional, patient and encouraging.
Thank you so much for the feedback. We truly appreciate it! Good luck to your daughter!
Negative experience: I would only use the Suncoast Safety Council if I was mandated by court order to use their services. Their staff can be described as rude and unaccommodating and their training programs are not helpful. The final nail in the coffin would be the expensive costs of their services. If you have the luxury of choosing a different traffic school or have other training options for motorcycle and work certification programs, avoid this business like the plague.

Positive experience: Teachers are great
Thank you for the positive feedback Stephanie. It is very much appreciated!
Negative experience: Program no longer exists
Fantastic experience: Ric and Tom were incredible driving instructors! They are very thorough and know how to help you become a confident and safe driver.
Fantastic experience: Sherrie & Dom were awesome instructors. Very friendly, patient and are able to pick up your mistakes and correct you in a proper manner. I had never been on a bike before the class and I felt pretty confident by the end of the course. I am glad I chose the SSC and I would definitely recommend them to everyone who is interested in riding a motorcycle.
