Fantastic experience: Ken in his wife are really some good people in definitely speaks nothing but facts I mean they speak the truth in definitely give you some good advice in the trucking field... If you are a new driver in doesn't know anything about trucking Ken will tell you all about it!!! If you the one that is looking for a school to get your CDL definitely go to CUSTOM DIESEL SCHOOL they will definitely get you right where you need to be!! All I can say is THANK YOU FOR YOU GUYS HELP & ADVICE FOR THE TRUCKING INDUSTRY & JOB OPPORTUNITY!!!

Negative experience: This is a ripoff and scam do not pay this school for training run down trucks and not enough on the road training and out of date in class training even if you passed you permit and are just in need of the driving part they will make you waste your time and money don’t go to this school.

Fantastic experience: My employer offered to pay for me to get my CDL, and after some searching, I found CDDT. Their class offering was flexible allowing me to go in the evenings, and still work removing snow since I did this over the winter. The instructors were friendly, and were encouraging throughout the process. The rest of the students were extremely helpful when learning new components, offering tips and tricks to help get the different aspects nailed. When we send future employees to get their CDL we will be sending them through CDDT for sure.

Fantastic experience: My son went through Custom Diesel Drivers Training. He had nothing but positive things to say about the instructors and the owner Ken. For a minute there I didn’t know if he would have made it. But CDDT patiently worked with him & today he now has a Class A CDL. And I know that’s in large part to them.

Fantastic experience: My husband went through CDDT as a third party. He had a longer journey than most but even after failed attempts always would come home to tell me how supportive, and encouraged he still was. Because he was being told, and comforted that he could do this & was capable. He eventually passed & I know one major reason he was able to cross the finish line was because of this company. Couldn't recommend anyone else more, simply because of the results (obviously) but the condition they returned my husband to me in everytime- still confident, and optimistic. Until that optimism for passing became a reality.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking to get your class A CDL to drive, look no further. The journey I had to take wasn’t a simple one but it led me here so I’m thankful. I went through training at a separate facility for 5 weeks. When it came to test I quickly found out the school that I had been sent to through my employer had not well prepared me. There was gaps in my knowledge, and practical skills. I tested twice with the other company (failing the backing portion each time) and then through a Google Search we found Custom Diesel Drivers Training. As a third party, and not having been through their training they treated me like their own. Like they had been with me from the start. On April 12th I was sent to do a 4 hour training session with them in hopes of giving me the missing skills & knowledge I needed & the plan was to test shortly after. They made the decision to inform my job that they wanted more time with me, to put me in the best possible position to test comfortably and pass. So, on April 19th I was sent me for another 6 hour training session with CDDT. On April 24th I tested. I passed my pre-trip but was weak in my backing, and didn’t pass ultimately leading me to fail. They got me right back in to test 2 days later on April 26th. Where the Owner, Ken, personally worked 1 hour with me on my backing before my test. I finally passed my backing portion perfectly! But due to a fluke situation with my testing vehicle failed the driving portion. On May 1st I practiced with them, tested, and PASSED! My review is lengthy because I had a longer process than most & needed it to be made clear how patient, and supportive they were even though they came into my journey a little later they are the ones that had the biggest impact. They never waivered in their support for me, or encouragement even after failed testing. But reminded me I could do this until I did. If I could have saved my self the headache & have found CDDT sooner, I would. Don’t be like me haha, choose them the 1st time, and get the quality skills & support you need to get your Class A.

Fantastic experience: I was sitting at a stop light and noticed the CDDT truck sitting in a single turning lane. The student made such a perfect and smooth left hand turn taking the inside lane without crossing any lines or taking out the sign in the median. After messaging the owner expressing how impressed I was, I found out the student in the truck had never pulled a trailer let alone drove a big rig before taking classes with CDDT. I was super impressed! The student and the instructors should be extremely proud!

Negative experience: Was super excited to enroll in the school then found out that someone who used to work for my current company works there and he doesn't like the company, the owner, and tried to sabotage drivers, as well as stole equipment from the company so now I have to find a different school.

Negative experience: Not a good training place! Will have you pay for Manual training knowing the truck is old!!! u can’t hit any gears in it they want you to get frustrated to then come back and pay for automatic training don’t waste your money or time

Negative experience: I was interested in this school because it appears they have the ability to train on manuals. I've been trying to get ahold of anyone here since Monday. Called every day at least once. Sent an email. Their voicemail box is full, and they still haven't called me back since my email. Communication must be lacking or they're all on vacation. I guess I'll just have to wait another couple weeks until 160 Driver Training can take me.

Negative experience: Been wanting to put in a review, but kept forgetting. Choose wisely future students! I do not recommend! If I not have come in with experience it definitely would have been an expensive lesson attending this school. Ken and the instructors pick and choose who they want to dedicate their efforts to. Mike and Roger was cool, but the rest was garbage instructors and does not belong in as instructors or in any form of teaching for that matter. So do your research first before making a decision. I choose to come here because Ken kept blowing up my phone and super nice while finally convincing me to choose his school instead of JTL...BIG MISTAKE! His friendly persona quickly diminished after the third day which in the contract states I would not be able to get a refund atfer the 3 days, which I paid in full up front. Very disappointed in my experience. I am positive if I went and just did the test on my own I would've passed without their help, which was none... but I wanted to upgrade my license with a credited school to be qualified for the better paying companies. Just wanted to put out a warning to future students is all. Good Luck. I gave a 2 star rating only because I did get my license upgraded here.

Fantastic experience: Custom Diesel is a great driving school. All the way from the front office staff to the trainers, everyone is there for one thing and that’s to get you your CDL. My instructor was John, he was amazing. He and the other instructors all have years and years of experience and are more then willing to share their knowledge.

Fantastic experience: Long Post!! Never in a million years did I ever think about becoming a TruckHer, that was until my husband became one. He would take me out on rides with him doing his routes to deliver. One night he MADE me drive from Sioux City back to Omaha. (After months of ride alongs of course). Im the type of person that will take on challenge, so I did. I was beyond scared but I knew our life was in my hands haha. Guess what happen? I got us back home that night safe and sound. It definitely pumped me up. After doing some research, the next week, I enrolled in Custom Diesel Drivers Training School. This was back in 2017. Best decision I made career wise. Ken (Vice President) is a awesome soul, he made the process simple and was straight forward about EVERYTHING. I got to work with some great trainers, including my top favorite trainer Mike. They both pushed, made me get over any fears and work with me until I understood the skills, I needed to be where I am now. Both of them are truly great and knowledgeable people that want you to succeed. If you are wanting to get into the industry go see these guys. This was one of the best experiences attending CDDT school hands down. Fast forward 5 years, Im still trucking. It amazes me how far I have came, in this predominantly male industry. I went from driving over the road, to regional and gaining my experience to be a local driver. If you want a challenge, be able to meet new people, make great money, travel outside of Nebraska and get out of your comfort zone, come to the otherside, men and ladies. But choose Custom Diesel Drivers Training. You wont be disappointed! You can get in house financing or check out your local community resources, that can help aide in your financial needs. I dont see myself doing anything else right now, I love what I am doing. So run dont walk over to CDDT. it will change your life, it changed mine. Fantastic experience: I chose Custom Diesel initially because it was the ONLY school in the area that matched my schedule needs. I needed afternoon/night class so I could still work. That said, I have zero regrets about choosing Custom Diesel! The instructors all know their stuff and they genuinely care about their students. I wholeheartedly recommend Custom Diesel.

Negative experience: NEVER I REPEAT NEVER go to this school. This place is so unprofessional, cheat you on your hours and rush you out the door before your even ready. Send you home for weeks at a time not enough instructors and they lie about your hours they charge you for extra training if your not getting it in a timely manner and I’m speaking from experience please go anywhere but here you won’t regret it Teresa and Mary were the best part of this school and that’s it. Your 4 weeks will turn into months of training such a waste of time and money. Their trucks are trash for as much money they been taking from people they should have amazing trucks please people do not go here saving you time and heartache

Positive experience: Not bad. Ok. Learn quickly here. Come here prepared. No time for experimentation. To me this place doesn’t feel like a school. It is all about business. So be serious. Too many students and not enough truck. First 5 weeks, you watch video and do quizzes. When you drive, they put you in a group of 4 per truck plus one instructor and you get to drive about 1 hour before lunch and 1 hour after break. You spend other SIX hours watching other students operate the truck. When it time learning to park, you get about 2 hour a day to be on the truck and spend other six hour walking in the heat or in the snow watching others operate the truck. So take class during fall or spring so that you don’t have to go through extreme weather. When you talk to them, keep in mind that, they are business people. They want your money. So they speak very well with you. Last suggestion is…. Believe both the positive reviews and the negative reviews people posted about them because they are true.

Negative experience: Would not recommend. I signed up for a 5 week course it turned into over 10 by no fault of my own. You have to pay for things twice. I would give it zero stars if I could. Worst experience of my life.

Fantastic experience: GREAT PLACE TO TRAIN ! I remember always passing by the school and the first time I walked in and asked about training I was greeted by two wonderful women, Melanie and Beth. Both helped tremendously with everything I needed to know and sat down with V.P. Who helped changed my career lane. The trainers there are awesome, patient and know their sh*t !! As much as I struggled with my training they always put my mind at ease and helped me excel to the driver I am today. The school helps you find a job even before you graduate, I’m currently in the oilfield well on my way of making $85,000-$100,000+ my first year ! The atmosphere is great, the people are great, your experience will be great and you’ll leave feeling great. Best decision I ever made.

Fantastic experience: This school taught me everything I needed to accomplish my goal in attaining my CDL Class A license. I'm so glad I chose this school. The thing that matters to me the most is the people who work there. The instructors are amazing at what the do. If you listen an follow the instructions, you can not fail. Negative experience: I wish someone had the overall costs included on the website somewhere so I wouldn't have to call to inquire while I listen to the sales pitch. At the moment I've looked at JTL trucking and Metro. Metro is obviously the cheapest. But JTL has job placement as well upon graduation. A friend of mine referred me to this place to speak to Jim. Not sure why. So here I am looking and I am going to make the decision with the most return on my investment. I just wish your website had more about what I would be getting out of your school compared to others.

Fantastic experience: Having had to give up my DOT physical card and thus my CDL six years ago, I recently needed to get my CDL back ASAP, finding Custom Diesel Driver Training was a godsend , working with them on the weekend I got my CDL back and I am able to get a better job, I just wanted to Thank everyone at Custom Diesel, especially Jim and Kenneth, I personally highly recommend Custom Diesel Driver Training.

Fantastic experience: I choose CDDT over other local schools due to the extensive Over The Road experience of every Instructor at the school. Not only are you taught the skills needed to attain your Permit (and eventual CDL) you are given the tips and life lessons of all those years of experience. They move you through the program based on your specific learning abilities. I went from not being able to shift a manual truck to successfully passing all tests on my first try. I highly recommend this group over any others! :)

Fantastic experience: I recently graduated from CDDT on 03/17 I had an excellent experience the instructors were very patient and informative they cover all aspects of the trade from A to Z in class and in the truck and willing to answer any questions, not to mention there willingness to help you line up a driving job before you even finish with school.
