Negative experience: I hate to give one star rating to anyone. Unfortunately, a cancelation fee $45 just minutes after registering is too way too much. They don't give schedule date until you register. Then you get to know the earliest schedule is three weeks out. Any business that wants to prohibit cancelation is a sham. Make sure you know what you are going into.

Fantastic experience: 10/10 would recommend to anyone who does/doesn't know how to drive. The staff is extremely helpful, patient and courteous. Being an international student driver, I found their service very reliable in the way that they teach all the rules and regulations while driving on the road very thoroughly. In the end, they prepare you very well for being a safe and responsible driver.

Fantastic experience: Safety 1st driving school is awesome. Instructors are patient and really know what they are doing. they go step by step on what you need to do. I had Herman for my first lesson and he was a great instructor. I was very nerves but he kept me calm and made sure I was comfortable driving. I had Tyler for my second lesson and he is awesome. He makes you feel so comfortable and not nerves at all. Instructs you on what you can do better He's very patient and friendly! Time seemed to pas by so fast. Fantastic experience: Safety 1st Driving , In my opinion is the best school you will find out there. My brother had signed up for one and multiple times the driver canceled, would show up late, and overall was just horrible. Although our first experience was terrible we decided to give it a try, and called. We are extremly happy that we did. We called and immediately got an appointment in!. The driver showed up in time! Very friendly and felt totally comfortable leaving him along his side(unlike the first). My brother thought he was super cool and enjoyed learning and driving around with the little cars. Finally he had finished all his classes ,answering all his questions and reviewing every details, re- insuring that he would pass , with ought a problem. Which he did! Next couple days he started driving him self to school(which meant that i didn't have to drop him off and pick him up after that) :D ! Thanks guys! you were great!

Fantastic experience: Safety 1st Driving School is an amazing school I would recommend anyone that is looking into getting their license should give them a call. After attempting to have my dad teach me how to drive I thought I was never going to get my license until I called Safety 1st. My instructor and he was terrific. He was knowledgeable, friendly and mellow. That first day got me very comfortable behind the wheel, prepared me for what I needed to know, and kept me from developing bad habits. After that, I trained with Mani Namzi. He's a much tougher teacher, always keeps an eye on what you're doing, always calls it when you mess up, and is always looking ahead for things you'll need to know. When explaining why a certain action or situation can be ill-advised or dangerous, he really makes you understand how your driving affects other people on the road. You can see the larger picture, not just whatever is out the front window. Mani also understands exactly what the driving test entails, what the examiner will be looking for and why these things are important. This prepares you for both the test and for actual daily driving. I passed the first time with only 6 (out of 15 permissible) points off. I am incredibly grateful to have gone to Safety 1st Driving School. The only downside - I'm really going to miss driving that brand new Fiats.

Negative experience: HORRIBLE! Son wasn't given his completion certificate. I didn't realize this so when we showed up to the appointment he was sent away. Now I'm in the middle of the DMV schedul wasteland. The said they never check up to make sure the forms were given to the kids correctly. Bye beware.

Fantastic experience: For a Newcomer to US who had No or Least driving experience, driving on California Roads would never have been an easy thing to do, if it was not for the Safety First Driving School and specially becuase of my Trainer "Martha Sanchez". I had this big Road fear and thought Driving to be a very difficult task but all thanks to my trainer, I feel a lot more confident and comfortable now. The Knowledge possessed by the trainer, Patience she showed , directions she gave were commendable and helped me ease out a lot of pressure off me and help me drive with a lot more ease. I would recommend this to any begininer or even someone who wants to just get a feel of driving here. Little by Little..

Fantastic experience: Alex Nazami took me for my license test today and he was amazing! I've driven with Shawn C, Shawn B, and Rachel T and so far they were all great. Each instructor has different tips on how to drive and everything they have ever taught me has really impacted the way I drive today. Even with this being the first time having Alex as an instructor, I was given more tips and once again found them very useful!

Fantastic experience: I do not know where to begin... I really lucked out when I chose Safety 1st driving school. Alex was so amazing. He is so patient and really loves his job. He made me feel comfortable behind the wheel and gave me confidence on the road. He took extra care in teaching me skills and techniques to perfect my drivng. He had little tricks for everything and made driving so easy! I had some problems parking but one easy trick made parking a breeze!! Mani, was the one that took me to the DMV for the road test!! I lucked out again! He is the nicest and most patient thorough person you can get (besides Alex of course). He reviewed every detail and made sure I was ready before I went in for the test. I failed the 1st test over some small mistake but he somehow got me a 2nd chance on the same day. Wow right?!?! And he waited with me until it was my turn again (12:30pm - 4:30pm) and did not charge me extra. Who does that? What other driving school will do that... And he did it all in his time! What a rock star!! I am so lucky to have these two guys as my instructors! If I can talk to each and everyone reading the reviews on Safety 1st Driving, I totally would! They are so amazing and I highly recommend them! I wish I can give them more stars because they totally deserve it. They really care and want you to drive safely. It's not about money for these guys! Fantastic experience: I am so lucky to have Alex from Safety 1st Driving School help me with getting my driver license. He is an expert! He is always patient and nice and positive and humorous! He enjoys his awareness of complicated situations and his skillful driving and is very happy to teach them to his students! He guided me to drive down a cliffy hill. I drove very very very slowly no matter how he urged me to drive faster. "There is a police car behind you, do you want to get a ticket before you get your driver license?" OK, go! While waiting for the DMV officer, my mind became blank because I was very anxious. Alex knew that. He talked about his time with several friends in the desert at night. At night! It is so scaring! In my mind wolf or snake would come. Then he talked about shooting snakes. Suddenly I completely calmed down. And I past the test. Thanks Alex!

Fantastic experience: Hey Guys, STEVEN here from Singapore. First of all, i would love to thanks all the great people in Safety 1st Driving school for their great guidance especially both Mani and Alex. Wonderful instructor and provide extremely useful tips. Honestly i dont think im going to pass today on my first try, but man....Mani made it happen. I was having issue with my parking at the curbs, but Mani he is super and assist me in dying seconds before the real test. Alex as usual extremely helpful and know what he is doing. Love all the tricks i learned from him and without him, dont think i can actually make a right or left lane change properly. And to all of you, I got my license, within a month i touch down in Irvine, and today i got myself a rental car and driving on the streets, all thanks to the Namazi Brothers. Kudos to both of you and all the people at Safety 1st driving school, you just make my day. Keep up the passion and good works, as you just help me in moving on to the next part of my already exciting life. Man, these 2 awesome deserve a pay raise :)

Fantastic experience: I don't think I would have passed my behind the wheel driving test without taking driving lessons with Safety 1st Driving School. There are so many things I didn't know before that are essential not only for the test but also for your own personal safety and knowledge. I paid an extremely reasonable price for eight hours AND the DMV package which allowed me to drive their car for the test. The cars they use are really small and easy to drive, it's the best to start out with, especially for the behind the wheel test. Alex was my instructor and he was very helpful and fun throughout all lessons. Even if you made a mistake, he wouldn't discourage you, instead he would keep working on your weaknesses till you get it right. He was very punctual, and at times even early which is very impressive considering I live in Riverside and their offices are located in Irvine. I really appreciate all the tips I got, even ones that they don't test you on! After each lesson, the instructor sends you a progress report on how you're doing and what you're going to work on next lesson. I just took my behind the wheel test today and I was really nervous but Alex helped me stay calm. The test was short, and I passed with very few minor errors! Overall, it was worth every penny and it really helps improve your driving, especially since their first concern is your safety and the safety of others. Thank you, Alex!

Fantastic experience: This was the second driving school I attended (the first one was awful!) and I loved it! The teacher Alex was professional and he really knew what he was doing. Instead of going straight onto the road he took his time explaining everything: blind spots, parking, turning, tips & and FAQ's. It was great to hear about all those things instead of rushing right into it. You always need a solid foundation before you build a house and that is exactly what Alex did for me. I definitely recommend this school to anyone interested. I passed on my first time at the DMV as well :)!

Fantastic experience: I got the 10 hour package with the trip to the DMV for the test and it was the best choice to learn how to drive! I got through the 5 lessons with 3 different instructors as I took them with a big time apart from each one and all 3 were great to learn to drive with. They are very comprehensive about how to drive and truly know how to perfect driving. I passed the behind-the-wheel test and I am already missing looking forward to the next class.

Fantastic experience: I am a 22 year old college kid and never got my license like most teenagers do at16, and once out of high school, I became busy with college. So getting my license was time consuming, but this last summer I started to try and get my license. I had a test over the summer and thanksgiving break this year but couldn't pass because I kept getting disqualifying results because of something I was getting wrong and I knew how to drive. I feel that taking 3 class lessons with Safety 1st driving school really helped me get the proper practice I needed before the test and I was able to correct the mistakes that I kept doing wrong. I am happy to say that I finally got my license with using their car I practiced in and that really made it helpful for me to take the test. Also my instructor, Shawn Carlton, taught me how to understand blind spots better and helped me to understand the rules of the road better. I am now more aware of how to drive and how to watch out for the Danny Douche bags on the road. This experience was really fun and helpful to getting my license. I would recommend this to anyone who needs to learn how to get their license no matter the age, just make sure to have time to practice between lessons. :{D>

Fantastic experience: My mom had failed DMV road tests during her recent license renewal attempt. We called up safety 1st and were impressed with the patience, courteousness and professionalism of the office staff. The instructors, Alex and Mani, very experienced, identified a few key areas that she needs to focus on from very beginning, and tirelessly emphasized these points throughout the lessons. This is in addition to the comprehensive training covering from freeway, turning, lane changing, speed limits, etc. Throughout the lessons, you could tell that their focus was not only to help her pass the test, but also to stress the importance of developing and keeping life-long safe driving habits. The day before the scheduled road test, they left a voicemail as well as written notes, summarizing the key safety points to remember. My mom followed these key points and passed the test! We are very thankful for the instructors and definitely recommend the school to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I moved this neighborhood this summer from the place where I rarely needed to drive (you know NYC). I haven't drive for over 10 years now so I felt like I was a first time driver. I called 4 driving schools here in Irvine to ask if they offer me the behind the wheel lesson and how much is it. Safety 1st D.S. was so courtesy and kind to answer all of my questions. Because I really wanted to feel comfortable and safe when I was on a vehicle practice, I wanted to go for the school where nice people were. My decision was perfectly right. From making appointments to receiving lessons, everything was so smooth. The confirmation was sent to my e-mail every time. Most of all, my instructor, Elizabeth was very nice. Not only she has wide and deep knowledge and experience, but also she was always calm and gave reasonable and timely explanation as we were on the road. Most individuals have the joy of earning their drivers license as a teen, I myself am a thirty-something-year-old who has been fearful of driving from an incident in my teens - since then, fear has been debilitating. Taking more lessons was something that wasn't even an option, mentally of course. As a first step in overcoming my fear, the respect and dignity that I was treated with (via telephone) with Angela helped me actually commit to signing up for lessons.
